Hello,In our project (STM32U5) we would like to make animation with TouchGFX (4.22) at display (320*240). We have one screen (landscape 320*240), with some pictures, text, and dynamic graph. Everything works ok. After few seconds we would like to use another screen, which is rotated for 90degrees (portrait - 240*320). But we have some problems with that.TouchGFXF does not support animation with mixing landscape and portrait screens.We can use new landscape screen and rotate text for 90degress, use rotated pictures but we cannot rotate graph.Is there any other option for us?
I build a custom Numpad Container. Iam setting it Visible when a textarea is clicked. And it is the top layer on the Screen. Trying to set other containers on a lower layer not touchable is not working.I can still click the slide menu button und some other buttons on my Background container.Is it a bug?scrollableContainer.setTouchable(false);slideMenuContainer.setTouchable(false);backGroundContainer.setTouchable(false);
Hello,will you build a keyboard without Pngs to save space , in the future?
Hi, I learned how to make the clock by following the 3 tutorials ( https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/tutorials/tutorial-03 ). I changed a data in the program because it counted minutes and seconds. Now I noticed that after 18 minutes the circle freezes and no longer runs, if you intervene manually by switching from one screen to another it clearly updates and starts again for another 18 minutes. can someone help me? Thank you
HelloI want to make a scrollwheel as a menu, when the user clicks on the central image, the window changes.By following tutorial 4, I managed to adapt it to my needs.How to do so that when the user clicks on the central image, the window changes. I was thinking of reusing itemIndex via setNumber already used in MenuElement.hpp, but I can't do it.https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/tutorials/tutorial-04
Hello. Good or bad, we must be the first customer for Digikey to purchase the STM32U5G9J-DK1. This order has been stuck at Digikey for the past 2 days without communication from their side. DK service is really going downhill these days and often cannot deliver for the next business day. After we contacted them for an update - first chat was that the 'order is under review'. Next chat we initiated is that the order is under review and is due to the ECCN restrictions. Seriously? We are not in Russia nor China although I am confident that they would receive these parts before we do here in Canada at a lower resale.Can you assist? Should we cancel and source from Mouser? Otherwise we can buy it in China from our many brokers that can always source parts for a fraction of what we pay here in North America. Your salesorder number is 84778143 for your PO# 01042024.
Hello !With my TouchGFX designer, the digital widget and the analog clock widget do not work with the STM32G071 application template (at least with the simulator, I can not confirm with the board). When I say it does not work I mean it is well displayed but the value (or animation) is never updated. The widget is frozen to the original value.
Hi All to Professional,I`m using the TouchGFX to work on my custom board. (STM32H7Series)And my environment of software tool.- STM32CubeIDE Ver 1.11.2- TouchGFX Desiger 4.20.0 Here`s the thing~I build the project with CubeIDE and setting all peripheral, parameter etc.. .Then start with build-in TouchGFX target, and choose the official demo like below.After that, either generate TouchGFX code or compile the project, all success and no error.Then start programming on custom board, it works fine. But it is weird that the Home Control is always getting stuck. And I try the TouchGFX simulator it is work. What I`m doing the next step, is to get in to debug mode and check the process. And I found it always stuck at "syscalls.c" with no reason. Is there any suggestion or experience about syscalls problem? Thanks for any help~ Best regards,Charlie
Hello.I have created a project with STM32H7, and in the project, I have included TouchGFX and ThreadX.I have an external memory controlled by SPI5. Everything works correctly. However, on some occasions, the function: status = HAL_SPI_Receive(hspiDFW25, bufferRX, bytes_to_read, 1000);returns TIMEOUT.If I give higher priority to the task where the HAL_SPI_Receive function is called than to the TouchGFX task, the error occurs less frequently. However, it still persists.Any ideas?
I am currently working on stm32H7B3l-EVAL having currently gotten a custom screen to work over RGB interface but I am having problems with the touch interface. The board comes with FT5336 touch controller and having tried to modify the registers to match the GOODIX-GT911 documentation. when logic analyzer is coupled on the connector the correct start address is sent but no ACK is received.I found this GT911 library on github ---https://github.com/DiveInEmbedded/GT911-Touch-driver/tree/mainI got this working on the board without touch GFX but when I try to use the library with the STM32TouchController.Cpp The inclusion of GT911.h does not give any errors but all the internal functions from GT911.c gives errors as seen in included pictures. I have tried several guides because I have a gut feeling that the tgfx touch controller file still cannot see the driver fully.is there a easy way to get external library to work with the STM32TouchController.Cpp or is there a easi
Hello Community,I'm currently facing a challenging issue in my project that involves the TouchGFX framework on an STM32u59dk board, specifically related to the LTDC interrupt mechanism and its integration with the TouchGFX HAL.Despite having the LTDC interrupt enabled and confirmed to be triggering correctly, I've noticed that the void TouchGFXGeneratedHAL::enableLCDControllerInterrupt() method is not being called in my application's execution flow. This method is crucial for configuring the interrupt handling in sync with the TouchGFX framework, particularly for managing the display's active and porch lines for smooth frame rendering.The core of the issue seems to lie in the initialization of lcd_int_active_line and lcd_int_porch_line variables, which remain at 0. This is a direct consequence of TouchGFXGeneratedHAL::enableLCDControllerInterrupt() not being executed:void TouchGFXGeneratedHAL::enableLCDControllerInterrupt(){lcd_int_active_line = (LTDC->BPCR & 0x7FF) - 1;lc
Hi everyone,According to AN486, It's possible to connect a "RGB666 display panel" to a MCU with RGB888 LTDC peripheral. (Uploaded Picture).Now, Is it passible to connect a "RGB888 display panel" to a MCU which equipped by LTDC565 peripheral? How is connections?Regards
Hello,related to the post https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touchgfx-and-gui/using-cpp-exceptions-in-touchgfx-application/m-p/267439 is C++ handle exception included in TouchGFX release ?I did not manage with the code here below, testing a string for a float with std::stof. (TouchGFX 4.21.4)Thanks
I enable double buffering in Cube, switching Framebuffer Strategy to Double Buffer. When I run my application I get the start screen but it hangs on initial screen. I'm sure I have enough memory for a second buffer, I used the block for Animation Storage and it worked (but it was very slow). To see if it can get any faster I enabled double buffering and it just died. Where's the catch? I use TouchGFX 4.19.1 and run my application on STM32H747I-DISCO board.
Hii,I am selecting the STM32F746G Discovery Board in TouchGFX Designer. In the Designer I have taken a Tiled image widget and I am trying to move the image vertically up and down. Now I want the same image to be tilted with some angle in TouchGFX. Is that possible?If it is, then how it works?
Hello,I use resources and everything works there.Now I need to display text from code and I came across that the result of these commands is 23??? what is wrong with this code? What do I need to set where? int intvalue_ = 23; std::string stringvalue_ = "Hello"; Unicode::snprintf(textAreaBuffer, TEXTAREA_SIZE, "%d %s", intvalue_, stringvalue_ ); textArea.setWildcard(textAreaBuffer); textArea has Typography BigFont selected in the designerI have Wildcard Ranges in the Typography settings for BigFont0-9,a-z,A-Z It will definitely be something small.Can you advise? I found this sample, but even here the question mark appears Unicode::UnicodeChar a[] = {0x00B0,0}; uint16_t degree = 28; Unicode::snprintf(textArea1Buffer, TEXTAREA1_SIZE, "%d %s", degree, a); textArea1.invalidate();
I understand that when the gpio set/clear functions are called, it's possible to check the values of VSYNC_FREQ, RENDER_TIME, FRAME_RATE, and MCU_ACTIVE.Where is RENDER_TIME called? While I have confirmed that VSYNC_FREQ is explicitly called in HAL_LTDC_LineEventCallback, RENDER_TIME seems to be called by the library, and I am uncertain about the specific calling location.Where should FRAME_RATE and MCU_ACTIVE be called? It appears that FRAME_RATE and MCU_ACTIVE are not called automatically, so the user may need to specify the calling location. Can Frame rate be placed in TouchGFXHAL::beginFrame and TouchGFXHAL::endFrame?
Hi,I'm trying get display working in Video Mode with TouchGFX(STM32H747I-DISCO as development board), but with no awail.The display board is a custom one (uses ILI9806E driver (no GRAM), which can only work in Video Mode)Steps I have done so far:1. Made sure the driver works fine with LCD_DSI_VideoMode_SingleBuffer example. (ILI9806E Standalone)2. Run the TouchGFX application successfully with original display board w/o any modifications in the code, for sanity check. (OTM8009A Command Mode & TouchGFX)3. Configured the application based on this documentation: MIPI-DSI Video Mode (ILI9806E & TouchGFX)4. Run the " HAL_DSI_PatternGeneratorStart(&hdsi, 0, 0);" , which shows the pattern correctly. (ILI9806E & TouchGFX))5. Scoured through the forum to find out what I'm missing.Any suggestions what should be the next step(s)?
I wonder if there are any discovery or evaluation boards that directly support connection to a 10.1" screen, and please do respond with something other than Riverdi. It would be nice if one could develop its own hardware without being overly dependent on third parties such as Riverdi. Has anyone managed to use the STM32747I-DISCO board (or any other board for that matter) with a bare 10.1" screen that has a 40-pin LVDS connector? So far I have only seen examples using the DISCO board with smaller screens. The 60-pin connector on the DISC board seems to carry a number of differential clock and data signals, so this looks like LVDS. Is it just a question of making a mechanical adapter from one connector to another?
I am having trouble displaying more than the first 6 lines of the display on my initial draw. As near as I can tell the touchgfxDisplayDriverTransmitBlock is called only three times and as a result only the first 6 lines of pixels are displaying correctly. Can't understand why is is just stopping and not being called again? SPI are in polling mode and no interrupts are being used. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Code is below: (Displ_SpiAvailable is set when SPI transmission is happening and reset when it is not) touchgfxDisplayDriverTransmitActive is only called three times as well. The application is set to use a partial buffer. /* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/ /********************************************************** @brief TouchGFX integration: returns status of* communication to the display* @return 1 = there is a transmission running* 0 = no transmission***********************************************
Hello All,I'm using custom board that has STM32H753BIT6 microcontroller for this i need to integrate Touchgfx that should use cmsis_v2 OS along with LTDC feature.I tried in display 800 x480 that uses LTDC feature, where project code is in baremetal (Not OS) and i had used c code array to fill frame buffer just to check display is up and display is working.Now i need touchgfx project that uses cmsis v2 and LTDC.Can someone help me in this for getting solution.
I am probably missing something obvious but the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q is listed as compatible with the X-NUCLEO-GFX02Z1 but within Touch GFX when I "Create New" and search for the GFX02Z1 there are only two options, the Nucleo-H563ZI and the Nucleo-U575ZI.I have searched here and googled but haven't found anything useful. I have checked the manual UM2905 and whilst that lists the pinouts there is nothing about TouchGFX.How do I generate a new TouchGFX project for X-NUCLEO-GFX02Z1 and NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q combination?
Hi there!I am using a STM32F413ZH-based custom board, and I am a beginner to LCD and TFT interfaces with the STM32F4. I was looking into the option of GUI applications and found TouchGFX. But I don't know how to use that and integrate it with my custom board. Please tell me how to integrate TouchGFX on my STM32F413ZH-based custom board. If it can't be used, then let me know about any other applications.
Hello community! Going to say thanks in advance for your help and direction here. Before I get started, understand that I am using an external rotary encoder knob as the user input for the display, no touchscreen. I am hijacking the button pressed/released behavior to show the navigation with the encoder and manually handling the encoder press to load a new screen or other behavior as needed. I have the external hardware mapped in properly and can view the knob turn/press events as needed, no problems there.I'm trying to build in a menu list of sorts with each menu entry as flex button with some custom behavior. I want for each entry to have an icon, a text label, and a different pressed/released background image, but I only want to have the icon showing when the menu entry is selected. When the entry is not selected, the background image will match the overall UI background to blend in. See the image below where the first entry is selected.This same menu entry behavior will ultimately
Hello,I recently purchased the STM32U5G9J-DK2, on the pre-loaded demo there is a map view which takes advantage of the vector graphics acceleration.The demo is "TouchGFX Demo 7", but the version available in Designer v4.23.0 is missing the map screen.Is the TouchGFX project / source code available for this demo with the added map?Many Thanks,Ant
