Dear all,I still haven't understood how the workflow should be for applications that use TouchGFX on STM32H7 devices. As far as I understood there is not graphic support at all since CubeMX5.5.0. On the other side I seems that I cannot import an STM32 project into TouchGFX. Therefore I assume the starting point is the TouchGFX Designer. Choose a board with a H7 device and after setting up all GUI elements the code can be generated. However, that generated code is not directly usable as STM32IDECubeMX project. I managed to import it as AC6 project. The structure of the project is similar, but not equal. So how to deal with that? Did I overlook something?Best RegardsMarkus
I'm designing an UI and i'd like to access some functions by pressing certain buttons, but i'd also like to let the user move those buttons my keping those button pressed (like android).i tryed with draggable buttons, but the problem is that i can't delay the drag event.any tip? Thanks
Hi!I encounter the issue with font appears differently in the old and new version of touchGFX.The font I use : Noto Sans Medium. In the old version (4.10) the Noto Sans Medium looks thin and tallAt the same time, typography name for Noto Sans Medium family is weird, see pic below. In the new version (4.12) the Noto Sans Medium looks thicker, no problem with name display. Now we kind of sure the thicker one is the correct one, but we want an explanation, what caused this difference?Input from google font family: For use in web content: it is very important to use the fonts as web fonts. When a font is only specified in CSS font-family but not really delivered to the client as a web font, the browser will automatically fall back to another font. Some Noto fonts are available at Google Web Fonts Early Access. However, sometimes, it doesn’t serve the latest version of Noto or provides a subset of a font. In addition, be aware that the web latency for large fonts, such as for Noto Sans CJ
There where so many touchgfx help articles at https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/ . e.g. memory requirements for touchgfx Where are these articles? If i use the bookmarks from my browser i only get: For this url for example: https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205362991-TouchGFX-memory-requirementsIs their a way to find these old articles? I found them very helful and i set many bookmarks in my browser to these pages. And when i search from google they are stil referenced.Would be great to get them back.
Hello Touchgfx Team,In STM32f746 disc board there is LTDC as well as I2C peripherals used for the LCD Where as the custom board which I am using has only LTDC and there is no I2C peripheral connected to the LCD display. Why does the I2C peripheral used in discovery board , is that used for controlling touch on the Display. If so the Custom board which I have will it work by using only LTDC peripheral. All LCD related features will they work with LTDC alone or need I2C as well? Please let me know.Thanks,Upender.
Hii referee to this link and try to modified OSWrappers for keil RTX5but all my efforts were in vain  is it possible "touchgfx" provide true config for OSWrappers & Keil RTX ?
I have develop in few days my first TouchGFX application with STM32F746-DISCO and it was very easy to integrate encoders, infrared remote and I2C comunication with external DAC chips. Now I would like to create a new application with TouchGFX but with a cheaper STM32F4.I have seen that TouchGFX allow to create a Smart Embedded display app with 480x272 display but how to specify the lcd pins and how to connect these ?For example I can buy one of these modules at low costhttps://it.aliexpress.com/item/32972483336.htmlhttps://it.aliexpress.com/item/4000086771574.htmlthe second have also the 40 pin connector for the lcd but how to give the parameters to TouchGFX to drive it ?
I use the demo board STM32H750B-DK, the CubeIDE 1.2, and TouchGFX 4.13.I followed the following guides and set the pins as default:https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011039799-Installing-TouchGFXhttps://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010921760-TouchGFX-HAL-DevelopmentFirst there was a build error because of flash overflow. To solve this I edited STM32H750XBHx_FLASH.Id by using the settings of a working TouchGFX (v4.10) project./* Memories definition */MEMORY{ DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K RAM_D1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM_D2 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x30000000, &nb
Hello,We made a custom board based on STM32F746NG to drive a 5' TFT, using the TouchGFX library.Next step is to import a CANopen protocol stack (bought from 3rd party company) for Lift application. In general stack is running using one timer.Since TouchGFX by default running with FreeRTOS, is there a guide or directions on how to switch to bare-metal configuration?
HelloI use STM32F769I-DISCO board and STM32CubeIDE.The image is displayed correctly when the image is imported to the internal FLASH, but the display is distorted when trying to use the external FLASH.For details, the display will be distorted if the following is described in the linker script.ExtFlashSection:{* (ExtFlashSection ExtFlashSection. *)* (. gnu.linkonce.r. *) . = ALIGN (0x4);}> QUADSPIHow to solve it?Thank you.

A few weeks ago I read the following article but now it is telling me "You're not authorized to access this this page". Anyone know If there's just technical difficulties with the website or do you have to have some special access?https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203563602-Hardware-selection-guide
Is the new touchGFX 4.13 compatible now with the latest VisualStudio or should i stick with VisualStudio 2017?ThanksStefano
Im using STM32F746 . i have the pixel format set the same in LTDC and TouchGFXgenerator, i have double checked the settings and recompiled the code several times, i wonder if i am missing something. any advice would be greatly received.thanking you in advanceBarry
Hello ST,I am facing Zoom in Issue of the Video.I am using 480*272 display. Please help me to fix this issue. I have searched whole datasheet , but nothing found regarding the resolution.I have adjusted the DCMI crop settings also, please point me to the solution.I have attached the images.fig1: Expected video resolution displayed on TVfig2: Present output screen on the 480*272 Display which is zoomed in.I have even posted the same issue in the ADI site https://ez.analog.com/video/f/q-a/121188/adv7180-camera-decoder-output-video-zoom-in-issueThanks,Upender.
Hello,I want to show process history to user in my device. Max number of process is 30 but I will show last 5 process. There are two buttons (fill and empty ). If user press FillingButton first I will show filling image and filling text. if second press is empty button, I will show both first (filling image) and second images (empty image) in screen. For this I designed a customcontainer which have one image and a text area. For scrollWheel I choose this customcontainer. I set number of items to zero in touchgfx and I want to add an item to scrollWheel programaticaly (because item's text value and image are unknown until user press one of button) How can I add items to schrollWhell programaticaly ?
Hi at all,we want to use Touch GFX for our display project. Actually we use a display with rgb interface. Now i have seen, that the newer STM32 boards with F469 and F769 are using a DSI (MIPI) interface to the display and it is always the 4" 800x480 mounted. Touch GFX supports these boards with demo projects. Now i want to know:1) We want to use a 5" display and these with DSI. These types use a resolution of 1280x720.Is it possible to reconfigure the demo project, that it will work with it?2) What must be reconfigured in the demo project? Thanks,Korbinian
One idea i have is to put N*textArea in a Container.
Hi Community,I installed new STM32CubeIDE and TouchGFX.I tried to refer to the youtube as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOs2LYO7wSA.I cannot find "graphics" in middle ware even if I selected STM32F746Discovery. I attach the screen shot for my CubeIDE.Of course, I installed TouchGFX from CubeIDE. Also, I attach my repository folder.Could you please let me know how to solve this issue? Thanks.Best regards,Kotetsu
I wanted to use the example "Method 1 - From GUI task" TouchGFX. I downloaded PollDemoHwInt 4.9.3.zip. Unpacked. Can't open STM32CubeIDE 1.1.0?
I want to connect a Newhaven 320x240 TFT display to the STM32F746 discovery board. The display uses a 24 bit RGB interface. The display has connections for the LED backlight (19.2 VDC @ 40ma). It has the 3.3 VDC power connections. And the V-sync, H-sync, and pixel clock inputs. I removed the display that came with it. I have the necessary 54 pin FFC breakout board and will solder wires from the pads on the discovery board directly to the breakout board. A couple of questions:Can I connect this display? Can I use the discovery boards charge pump for the backlight on the Newhaven display?I am using Embedded Wizard for the GUI design and will have to modify their display initialization routine. I am attaching the Newhaven display pin descriptions. I will not be using a touch panel. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
The emWin demos show a processor load value on the screen, is there already a method defined for this in the TouchGFX / FreeRTOS configuration. I need to know how "near the edge" I currently am. It will help to know if I have enough processor HP to complete this project with this processor (F746). Its hard to tell just by excercising the current project if I am seeing slowdowns, and I don't know how well optimized the build is currently.on the TouchGFX screen transitions, do they use the hardware accelerator? This is where I am noticing some slowdown. Sliding transition with 2 of the Gauge widgets on one of the screens (with several enhancements like dual needle, etc)2 related questions in one thread, thanks all!!Bob
Hi,I am trying to make use of the external flash on the F469I-Disco Board. I tried following the instructions here: https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205886201-Placing-Assets-in-Flash-Memoryby adding these lines to my linker file: QUADSPI (rx) : ORIGIN = ORIGIN(FLASH) + LENGTH(FLASH), LENGTH = 16MExtFlashSection : { *(ExtFlashSection ExtFlashSection.*) *(FontFlashSection FontFlashSection.*) *(ExtFlashSection TextFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >QUADSPINow when I try to debug the debugger stops after the message Waiting for debugger connection...Debugger connectedWhen I'm not using the external flash I have no problems debugging. Is there anything else I have to modify?
