Hi, In my current design all back end modules are communicating with GUI via model. In model im reading queue inside tick function. In case of any state change occurs it is notified to the corresponding presenter. I have placed all business logic related to that screen in presenter, in presenter i'm receiving blocking message call this made the model to miss ticks. Due to this screen rendering gets affected. How to resolve this issue? Do i need to change entire design.
Has anyone been able to create a working project with CubeMX 5.5 and TouchGFX 4.13?
HiI'm new to STM32.I need to capture data from ADC with high frequency. if I capture data during LCD screen updating the frequency of data capturing by ADC became less, so I need to stop LCD screen updating and capture data and then update LCD. is there a way to suspend ltdc and then reload it again?of course, I should mention that the LCD screen must not become dark if we suspend anything!
Is there a template or a sample application that one can use to develop fast running waveform display feature in TouchGFX? (such as that of a oscilloscope waveform display and not a static or slow speed 1-dim graph display)if not any suggestions? ..thanks..
Hi,I'm using DCMI and LTDC to display my video camera, I would to remove the effect of updating the image, because I need to convert by code YCbCr to RGB888, so it wastes a considerable time and it is possible to see the conversion process (the video is updating up to down line by line in aprox 150ms).Is there a way to stop the LTDC updating the LCD, convert the framebuffer, and resume the LTDC? I've tried this but it goes to default handler...__HAL_LTDC_LAYER_DISABLE(&hltdc, 1);Regards,Anderson
Hi I jist bought a STM32F469NI-Discovery board recently and I am unable to make the display work.I started with the BSP libraries and examples and they worked fine. i even was able to modify a bit an example and start doing someting with it.The problem is when I started to work with STM32CubeMX. Firsty I tried to set ereverything in the progrma and make it to generate te code. As it didn´t worked I copeid the code from the examples. When I run a program that tries to set a yelllow rectangle with DMA2D this is what I get.I tried modifying the code but I got no progress. I thinks it has to do with the SDRAM rather than the LTDC peripheral but I am not sure.At this point I am stuck so any kep will be welcomed. Thanks in advance
The article in the following link no longer exists (frustrating) and I'd like to refer to the info previously found there.https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203642951-MCUs-without-TFT-controllerI did search support.touchgfx.com and did not find it.Apparently one must copy/paste articles because they will disappear?
I'm trying to use STM32CubeMX to enable TouchGFX on a STM32F427 which doesn't have a LTDC peripheral. Is this possible?Per https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203642951-MCUs-without-TFT-controller, TouchGFX is capable. Also, what is required to enable TIM? Any timer with any config? Thanks!
I ran across the documentation which has release notes for a version 4.13.1:https://support.touchgfx.com/api/pages.htmlThere is at least one fix that I am interested in.Where/how does one find this update and HOW does one update it?Great job on the documentation page, by the way!https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/introduction/welcome
Hello friendsI have configured the touchgfx and works well.I want to save the fonts, button and background obj files in SDCARDand then call. How can I do the caching operation?i convert background image to binary file and show well but button image confuse.Thank you for explaining the photo conversion software and how to cache.
Posted on July 13, 2018 at 19:48I'm a beginner; i want to use STM32F767ZI board to connect it to an TFT-LCD 10,1' display with capacitive touchscreen like this https://www.mouser.it/ProductDetail/Newhaven-Display/NHD-101-1024600AF-LSXV-CTP?qs=%2fha2pyFadugDeaZ93%252bxmjltF5XnL1tuKKeKhr6ozQlyjykXYzK%2fMy1hDi5YYw7DF .First if is possible i want to know a link that explain to me the protocol that i need to be connected to an LVDS-display.I read stm32 (not completly) doc en.STM32F7_Peripheral_LTDC.pdf and en.DM00287603.pdf(AN4861).In this doc i find that LTDC give out data in parallel mode:* if i want to connect to an LVDS dispaly i need a chip to translate the information?#ltdc-to-lvds-display?
We are now using H743 to debug Touchgfx, may I know how many stack needed? and how the ram is allocated? Could you give some advices and share some document? Thanks.
Sometimes creating a new project fails to build via TouchGFX Designer.Steps to reproduce:1. Launch TouchGFX Designer2. Open notifications via 'Detailed log' button3. Create a new project in TouchGFX Designer (use STM32F746G-DISCO board and TextureMapper compatible sample4. Watch the output in the notification window and the following occurs:- make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j10- touchgfx update_project --project-file=../EWARM/STM32F746G-DISCO.ewp --gui-group-name=Application/User/TouchGFX/gui --generated-group-name=Application/User/TouchGFX/generated && touchgfx update_project --project-file=simulator/msvs/Application.vcxproj && ruby updateMXProj.rb- Post Generate Error <- No clues are provided in output logs5. Open MINGW32 to try to find out why the command failed:- cd to the project folder- repeat the failing command ('touchgfx update_project --project-file=../EWARM/STM32F746G-DISCO.ewp' etc)- See output:>>> $ touchgfx update_project --project-file=
Hello everyoneI'm working on STemWin532 library on STM32F103ZET6 bord in STM32CudeIDE. I could successfully configured LCD interface (The Controller is HX8325B and GUI runs on internal RAM) and insert some text on the screen (following image):But when i use external SRAM as GUI memory result is very strange and interesting :). The text is driven out of the screen. The following picture shows the situation:While the code is the same code that works correctly in the internal RAM of MCU. The only command that i changed is the following variable definition for GUI memory allocation:#include "GUI.h" #define GUI_NUMBYTES 1024*50 U32 static aMemory[GUI_NUMBYTES/4]; // This is for internal RAM U32 static aMemory[GUI_NUMBYTES/4]__attribute__((section(".GUI_0x68000000"))); // This is for extenal SRAM void GUI_X_Config(void) { GUI_ALLOC_AssignMemory(aMemory, GUI_NUMBYTES); }The section .GUI_0x68000000 is defined within linker command file as follows:// other codes ............... &
Hi,I am building a "cross-IDE" project with a bunch of different tools. That is why I have either FreeRTOS as well as Keil RTX5 RTOS in my project. I can switch between both kernels at any time. The problem I have regards animated image and it is interval time. When I run a program with Freertos everyuthing is ok, but when I use RTX5 RTOS CMSIS_v2 it seems like the animated images are always switched at every RTOS clock tick, no matter what I set for this animated image (setUpdateTicksInterval(n); ).Do you have any suggestions where to look for an answer? I can't see how does this widget works under the hood, because it is in the library. If it refers to the RTOS maybe I made a mistake when modyfing RTOS_wrappers file... But on the other hand everything else works fine, at least I didn't find more bugs. This is annoying because my animation is way to fast and I need to use RTX5 at the end...:( Arek
Before the content was moved from Zendesk to the new TouchGFX website, i found the example i think under the following link. But I deleted the example and would need it again now. Where can i get it now? It was very helpful.
Hi ,I want to use the TouchGFX framework for HMI development but I have few queries about it which are as below:1) Which controller do you recommend for 7" display with ~200 screens ?2) How can find the limitation of my setup ?3) How the number of screens will impact on Performance ?4) How will it impact if the HMI runs continuously for 30days ? will it fill all the memory?5) What are the limitations of TouchGFX ?I request you to answer the above questions.Regards,Shrikant
Hi:I have an spi TFT screen, and how to port the TouchGFX on this Sreen? Thanks!!
Hi,we are using a STM32F2 to control an LCD driver using FSMC. The LCD can be configure and display the content correctly. The project is working correctly for a long time in debug mode, but when we compile it in release (-O2) it seems that the code is hanging during a FSMC write. The FSMC engine is configured on BANK1 using the FSMC mode A with 16 bits data. Our project is using FreeRTOS with STEMWin. I reduced the project to 2 tasks. One task is the main task and the other one is for the LCD. We are using the interrupts to get the data for some of our inputs (rotation switch buttons). The LCD task is currently only clearing the display and showing an iteration counter. If I let the projet run by itself in release, it can run for a long time and there doesn't seems to have any problem. If I turn our rotation swith which generate interrupts, the problem happens quickly. The main task is still running, but the LCD task is stuck in the write data on the FSMC bus. I don't have any hardfault o
Hello,I developed an application in touchgfx and it is working perfectly. It is 480x800 resolution and the display is oriented in landscape mode. When I installed the display in the device I realize that the base only fits in one way and therefore the screen is displayed backwards. The base of the device where I am going to install the display cannot be changed, so I need help to know how to put the pixel (0,0) in the opposite corner to the one that is now and thus be able to view the app correctly.*************************************************** *=================================================* *=================================================* *=================================================* *=================================================* *=================================================* *===============================pixel(0,0) actual * *************************************************** ************************************************** * pixel(0,0) desired====
Goodmorning everyone! With the release of CubeMX 5.5.0 we've removed TouchGFX from the Middleware section of CubeMX and are now offering TouchGFX configuration through an X-CUBE. The X-CUBE pack contains the following:TouchGFX Designer .msi, as per usualTouchGFX Generator - A tool through "additional software" for creating your TouchGFX HAL based on CubeMX settings.CubeMX is a tool for configuring your MCU.CubeMX is not a tool for completely configuring peripherals like touch controllers and external memories.TouchGFX Generator (new since 4,13) is a CubeMX extension that can generate all or parts of your TouchGFX HAL Layer based partially on settings taken from your MCU configuration in CubeMX.TouchGFX Generator (new since 4,13) is not a tool that provides complete configurations for touch controllers, external memories, etc. It only generates the TouchGFX HAL - Rendering strategies, acceleration strategies, etc.TouchGFX Designer is a tool that can supply you with application templates

Hello everyone,Recently I was navegating in the forum and I found a information that said STM32H7 had a list o QSPI memoty that are compatible with this micro controller.I don't know if this information is true and as I am new in using STM micro controllers I would like to ask if all QSPI memory are compatible with the STM microcontroller. If this is not the case I would be most grateful if some one could recommend me a QSPI memory.I planning to use this memory to store all the imagem from my TouchGFX Project.
Hi everyone,I am trying to use LWIP with TouchGFX together. But it's not working well. First of all need to say; I have a massive TouchGFX code. And I want to add LWIP in this project. When I try this first, I got a linker error about RAM usage. I use STM32f746BET microprocessor and its has a 320 kb RAM. On the other hand I also has an external RAM about 16 megabytes. I thinked project will use external RAM when internal RAM is full. But that's not working that way. When I notice that, I did some research. As I understand, LWIP using to freeRTOS heap. So I thinked, if I grew up FreeRTOS heap this maybe solve my problem. But I didn't have memory in to my internal RAM. So I decide to use some external RAM for FreeRTOS heap. I thought to use FreeRTOS's heap_5 for do this. I created 20 kb heap in internal RAM and 100kb heap in external RAM. When I did this linker error gone. TouchGFX and LWIP ran together but system couldn't get an IP. :( When I can't solve problem that way, I changed
