Hi,I have compiled and load the demo to the board with STMCubeIDE 1.4.0 on Linux. When I start the board, it seems that the display is correct during a quarter of second or less. Then the colors are getting weird, like if there is a palette problem.Does anyone have the same problem? Thanks,Olivier
Hello,I'm currently developing an application on a STM32H753VT6 with touchGFX and I have an issue with an animatedImage Widget. I want to create a gif with 12 bells images. The problem is that the bottom of the animation is (sometimes partially) missing as you can see there : I've already done this animation on another project without any problem but on my main application it doesn't work. Here is the code creating the animated gif :animatedImageBell.setXY(0, 0); animatedImageBell.setBitmaps(BITMAP_CLOCHE00116_ID, BITMAP_CLOCHE00127_ID); animatedImageBell.setUpdateTicksInterval(NB_TICKS_UPDATE_INTERVALS); add(animatedImageBell);and the code to start and stop the animation (I'm not using a loop because the animation is not nice)if(start_bell_shaking == true) { if(init_start_bell_shaking_done == false) { // here we replace the bell by the animatedImageBell animatedImageBell.setXY(zoomAnimationBell.getX() - OFFSET_BELL_X_POSITION, zoomAnimationBell.getY() - OFFSET_BELL
Hi @Martin KJELDSEN : I want to know how many live images are cached.I found two pointer variables. static CacheTableEntry* cacheTable; //address of allocation point cache static BitmapId* allocationTable; //order of allocations in cacheBut I couldn't get any useful information.Thank you!
I use TouchGFX and STM32H7 system. It needs large font files (chinese + many sizes) which will not fit into internal RAM.I also need to write log data into flash. I would want to use the same flash to store fonts and store the logging data. But TouchGFX fonts require memory-mapped mode, and storing data requires command mode.Which option is the best?Use 1 physical flash (switch external flash mode between memory-mapped for fonts and command mode for storing data)Use 2 physical flash chips, one with FW and fonts (memory-mapped mode), other for data only (command-mode)I would use STM32H7B0 with 2 external flash option (FW+fonts in external mm-flash, data in external cmd-flash), STM32H7B3 with 1 external flash option (FW in internal flash, Fonts+data in external flash with mode switching between mm/cmd).
In touchgfx software....In Display Board...... Is there is any way so that I can fix it....?
So I tried creating a box in the buttoncallback function as follows : touchgfx::Box * box_temp = new touchgfx::Box(); box_temp->setPosition(170,180,500,220); box_temp->setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(255,255,255)); box_temp->setVisible(true); add(*box_temp); box_temp->invalidate();but on pressing the button the app freezes. When tried to debug on trying to allocate memory using new the control reaches onhardfault_handler(){}Any suggestions?
Hello! How to force the toggle button to TRUE->FALSE and how to change the scene after 60 seconds!1) I am curious about how to change the toggle button from the current state to false.2) I am curious about how to go from scene 1 to scene 2 after 60.Is it possible to edit in TOUCHGFX Designer?Thank you.!
Hi ST Team, Current we using an TFT LCD Drv (ST7701) without GRAM. So we have to use DSI in video mode. But it's hard to understand the required DSI video mode configurations. So we need Dsi video mode code working sample. After Surfing the Stm32 Application notes, we found the following Doc;dm00287601-dsi-host-on-stm32f469-479-stm32f7x8-x9-and-stm32l4r9-s9-mcus-stmicroelectronics en.STM32F7_Peripheral_DSIHOSTBut it didn't help much. So the DSi sample code will a lot.
Hello everyone,I am trying to build a custom application for my STM32F769i-Discovery Board. The Application consists of a Login Page which will compare the input with existing database and then move to next page after authentication. I wanted help on 1) How I can integrate a keyboard in my Application where user can type username and password?2) How to make the password encrypted and appear as dots instead of normal characters?Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks
I have a custom board with an STM32L4R9 connected to a display (320x480) with internal GRAM over DSI. I've been successful in configuring and controlling the display using the HAL DSI API. Now I would like to use the LTDC to feed the DSI controller but have not been successful in getting anything to show up on the display.The LTDC is configured with:Display Type: RGB666 (18 bits) - DSI ModeLayer 0 Pixel Format: RGB565 (corresponding to TouchGFX)I'm trying to use the LTDC as follows: uint16_t buf565[320*480]; for (uint32_t i = 0; i < (320 * 480); i++) { buf565[i] = 0x1f00; } LTDC_LayerCfgTypeDef pLayerCfg = {0}; pLayerCfg.WindowX0 = 0; pLayerCfg.WindowX1 = 320; pLayerCfg.WindowY0 = 0; pLayerCfg.WindowY1 = 480; pLayerCfg.PixelFormat = LTDC_PIXEL_FORMAT_RGB565; pLayerCfg.Alpha = 0; pLayerCfg.Alpha0 = 0; pLayerCfg.BlendingFactor1 = LTDC_BLENDING_FACTOR1_CA; pLayerCfg.BlendingFactor2 = LTDC_BLENDING_FACTOR2_CA; pLayerCfg.FBStartAdress = (uint32_t) buf
My company is currently in the process of developing a embedded UI and we had been hoping to use Emerging Display Technologies ETEML10100XDH6 board as it is has a pre built template by TouchGFX and can easily be flashed from the designer. We were sent the ETEMB101008XDRAM instead, due to supply and price, which is almost identical barring the use of a STM32H7 vs the STM32F7 on the ETEML. Is there any plan to provide a prebuilt template for the ETEMB or will I need to follow the process of flashing a custom board due to the differing MCU's or is there something I can do with my current designer project, such as building the binaries and flashing using ST-LINK?
For your information, the TouchGFX documentation has been updated to fix the issue where you could not access links on a documentation page when opening the documentation for the first time (or when sent from a link). The color bug for the "Tip" sections has also been fixed.
Hello,I'm trying to interface STM32H745I Custom board device with 800x480 Pixels 24bit TFT using RGB interface and emwin library in ARGB8888 Format using STemWin_CM7_OS_wc32_ot_ARGB.a binary available in STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.8.0.i'm able to bring up emwin and able to see images on display. Here i've attacehd my LCD,DMA2D,Emwin Initialization code and sample image of the problem. How to resolve this GUI problem.Any pointer would be helpful.Thanks.
when I am rotating the text by 270 in setup screen() . From the handleTickEvent I am changing the wildcard text as well as I am also changing the position height and width though I am getting text but it is grainy...not clear(I have included invalidate() function also Load in this Image).I tried changing alpha and various height and width but still I am getting grains.....
Hello,We have problems with the touch screen performance. Is there a way to make this better? We are using the TouchGFX Example project with the same poor results "Smart Embedded display 7.0" with the "Swipe Container Example".Basically if I hold my finger on the Swipe Container, the swipe container continuously wiggles left/right even though I am keeping my finger as still as humanly possible. We observe the same behavior with a Slider widget. We initialize with these settings in our custom application, which then has slightly better performance than the example. hal.setTouchSampleRate(2); hal.setFingerSize(20); hal.setDragThreshold(5);It seems I have tried every possible combination to try to improve this. Whatever I do, I still get some wiggle. The Example projects perform far worse than this on this display. Any advice would be appreciated.Even a reference to what settings you guys have had the most success with on other boards would be helpful. Maybe I can use that e
Hi all,I am developing a project in touchgfx using STM32F429. As the complexity of the project has grown, I have started to see anomalies in the touchgfx.Until now I have 15 screens and all the screens work fine separately. When I put them all together they also work fine in the beginning, but as I play around from one to the other, after a while touchgfx simulator freezes and closes.I believe it is some problem with the memory. Somehow, it gets stuck. The code has no obvious bug because the screens work fine separately. I have increased the heap and stack size, however the problem still remains. I checked also the memory required by the CWR, as I draw some rounded corners, but it is way below what I have assigned. There is one thing which I do not know how to do. And it is related to the teadDownScreen() method, which has an empty implementation by default. I think that I maybe need to run something there so that I can free as much space as possible when I leave one screen. There is one
Hi stm,We are working with 240x320 resolution display by the following configuration 1 display support 18 bit so we configured DSI with 18 bit and ltdc format with 24 bit and dma2d with rgb888 and changed configuration to 240x320.2. display runs in command mode single data lane with hsyn, vsynch as 2, hbp, vbp as 2 and hfp, vfp as 23. DSI bandwidth with 500 mbps, 62.5 byte tx. and ltdc clock with 41.7 Mhz.My problem is display is able to show text as well as images, please find attached picture. Issue is extra line drawn at boundary of some images while other images are properly potraited.I have done following changes.1. Changed sync, bp, fp to less and high but display is not showing exactly with in 240x 320 slant mode.2 set pitch is 800 but if I changed to 240 as width, display is potraited with multiple images.what shall be issue ??Regards,Kishore
Hello,I tried to flash a sample application from TouchGFX on a STM32H745I-DISCO. Application template was for the STM32H750B-DK since there isnt one for the H745 and I wanted to see if it would work.I got a white screen and the usb programming is not working anymore. I get an error about erasing the memory segments.Tried flashing via CubeProgrammer and this is the error I get: https://imgur.com/rGcms5vThanks in advance for any replies
hello everyone i have been working with a custom board F429IG LTDC RGB565SDRAM 32MB 16bit data widthSTMCUBE IDE and CUBEMX 5.6i have tested each hardware separately and they seem to work fine .created a project to show just a button in 7" LCD 800X480 resoulotionat first i programed the micro to use extrenal SDRAM as buffer but the picture went very badthen i changed the SDRAM address from 0XC0000000 to internal address of 0X20020000 and i get this result which is perfecthere is 2 other pictures from 800x480 test in external memoryand my memory configuration /** Perform the SDRAM1 memory initialization sequence */ hsdram1.Instance = FMC_SDRAM_DEVICE; /* hsdram1.Init */ hsdram1.Init.SDBank = FMC_SDRAM_BANK1; hsdram1.Init.ColumnBitsNumber = FMC_SDRAM_COLUMN_BITS_NUM_9; hsdram1.Init.RowBitsNumber = FMC_SDRAM_ROW_BITS_NUM_13; hsdram1.Init.MemoryDataWidth = FMC_SDRAM_MEM_BUS_WIDTH_16; hsdram1.Init.InternalBankNumber = FMC_SDRAM_INTERN_BANKS_NUM_4; hsdram1.Init.CASLatency = FMC_SDRA
I want to disable touch using NoTouchController class, but the TouchGFXConfiguration.cpp file is located in generated folder. Is this a mistake? How to disable touch without editing generated files?
Hello,I have built a scroll list, where each item is a custom container that has an image and a textArea. I want to be able to call a callback from the item when the respective item is clicked. For example, I want to change the color of the custom container background when the item is clicked, as shown in the attached picture. I am able to do that by implementing the handleClickEvent function inside the custom container. However, once I do that, I can not drag the list. Can you please help me on how to be able to still drag the scrollList when I overwrite the handleClickEvent on the custom container? Thanks a lot.Bests,Gazi
Would it be possible to update the documentation with links that work. The alternative would be to remove the hyperlinks. That won't really help but it would reduce the aggravation.
I add a two hardware button to control the up and down scrolling of scrollableContainer(use function "moveChildrenRelative"). But the function "getScrolledY()" can't update according to the scroll action. And I need the ScrolledY to respond to some events. What should I do to deal with it?
HiI'm using stm32f429 and my question is about LTDC peripheral. Is there any way to change VSYNC unit from "Line" to "pixel"?(Like Hsync unit that is in pixel)Thanks
I want to display mixture of Chinses and English character but unable to correct find font in toughgfx. For example utf-8 encoding E4 BD A0 E5 A5 BD 20 43 68 61 6E 64 61 6E 21 is 你好 Chandan! Please let me know which font should I select at touchgfx. Thanks
