I hope this is the right section of the site to ask this question, otherwise please redirect this thread.I just started programming, I am using a 20x04 LCD with stm32F407G and I need the classic function " lcd_i2c_setCursor (row, col); ". I am not able to implement it by modifying the one already in the 16x02 display library. So I am asking if you can redirect/send me to a post or link where this function is explained for 20x04 or if someone already has it and can attach the code so that I can "copy-paste" it into my project.Or if there is a way to modify the function " lcd_i2c_setCursor (row, col); " that I have for the 16x02 LCD ... we can modify it here together:void lcd16x2_i2c_setCursor(uint8_t row, uint8_t col) { uint8_t maskData; maskData = (col)&0x0F; if(row==0) { maskData |= (0x80); lcd16x2_i2c_sendCommand(maskData); } else { maskData |= (0xc0); lcd16x2_i2c_sendCommand(maskData); } }Thank you.
Hi dearsHow can I have several external sections in cuneIDE?and how can learn to touchGFX that separates Images?for example, 3 images place in ExtSection1 and the rest in ExtSection2. here we have only two sections.
Happy New Year to you all.A little help please...I may have been a little ambitious with this project, but here goes.I have made a board using a STMf429igt (176 pin). This is based on the STM32F429 Eval board, (which uses the BGA216 version of the processor. )In doing this I have swapped the pins to suit my board, using only a 16 bit RGB display and an external 4M x 16, SDRAMIn chosing pin configuration, the SDRAM memory uses bank 2, (instead of bank 1 on the evaluation board.)Using an example in the TouchGFX program (for their STMF429 eval. board ), I have imported my STM 429IGT set up using the STM32CubeMX generated code.Having added some code (generated by TouchGFX for the evaluation board) the board basically works. However, the display shows one of my earlier attempts (not even sure where the GFX file is!)If I change and update the GFX (adding some text etc) the generated files update but the screen shows the same, after a recompile.(Anyone that has got this far, thank you for your
please help
I know TouchGFX Designer GUI is a Windows only app, but is there any way to only run the generator tool (tgfx.exe) to generate all files of a .touchgfx project on a linux machine via command line?
ToughGFX Designer: 4.20.0STM32Cube IDE: 1.11.0Hello there,i'm using touchgfx to show received data usingUnicode::snprintf(FenceNumBuffer, FENCENUM_SIZE, "%d", g_displayCtlBlk.fenceConfigS1);Recently I found if I place FenceNum.resizeToCurrentText();directly after Unicode::snprintf(FenceNumBuffer, FENCENUM_SIZE, "%d", g_displayCtlBlk.fenceConfigS1);the character in the MSB of FenceNumBuffer will still remain in the buffer (on the display the current number will be mixed with the old long number). However, if this resize function is placed after invalidate function (or without resize function), although in the FenceNumBuffer there still exits old value, it seems the terminal \0 did work, it prevents showing the old value. Is there anyone, who can explain this phenomena?Best regardsJ.Pan
I’m having an issue with pixels “bleeding? into places where they shouldn’t be. See the photos below. In screenshot1 (with the colorful shapes), on the lefthand side of the red circle and the triangle on the right, inside the shape the green background seems to be bleeding into the shape. On the righthand side of the shapes, the shape color seems to be bleeding into the background. One thing that’s notable is that the perfectly horizontal side of the line at the top and perfectly vertical sides of the left triangle don’t seem to have a problem. Maybe something to do with alpha on the diagonal edges of the shapes? In screenshot2 (white background with a few black lines), the pixels of the leftmost line seems to be bleeding onto the other edge of the screen. This is a custom PC board connecting to an ARGB 24 bit TFT LCD, utilizing TouchGFX v4.20. Originally we used the STM32F429IIT6 processor, which worked fine without this issue, and is in production. We had to redesign the board to use t
I have a custom container that pops up on a screen for password entry. The password is set using 4 scroll wheels and an entry button with icon. When the entered password matches the required password a flag variable is set and the custom container is made invisible. I need to access the value of this flag in the screen logic to determine access rights to other functions of the screen. What is the syntax for referring to this variable value from the screen? I assume some form of MPV method must be used to pass the value but i do not know how this applies to custom containers within a view.
Hi, i keep getting this error. how can i solve it?im using stm32h750-disco and touchgfx
Hi, Im working on touchgfx with STM32H750XBH-DK eval board and gyro sensor. So I try to display the data using UART which I want to display using serial monitor(tera term) but its doesn't work and nothing display in my monitor.Basically i have try using UART using the board only and everything is ok but when I want to use the touchgfx, the UART doesn't work. Anyone know why and how to solve the problem?UART STM32H750XBH-DK pin - USART3(PB11 & PB10)Already enable the UART nvic parameter. so what is the problem?
I need help with using lvgl in stm32f469i-disco. Currently iam using touchgfx for the graphics tft, but i see lvgl has much feature and clean design. is there anyone has experience with lvgl? Please help, any references or source code will help me much. thank you
for STM32F429I-DISC1, the Designer creates a project that does not contain an .ioc file. This means that any functionality additional to the graphics must be configured by code instead of CubeMX. Is there a simple way I can have an .ioc file in the project? Nikos
Problem:The project contains core code c files as link in the project. It makes adding new files in common location ridiculously complicated and slow.(Path: PROJECT/CM7/Core)Workaround:I remove the links to core files, I add a links to Core/Src and Core/Inc directories, works as charm. Now I can add files to those directories. The catch:Each time IOC file is changed, the IDE creates those links again and they must be manually deleted.Where IS the folder structure and instructions to create those links? There is similar problem with TouchGFX files (and the virtual folder structure is even crazier), but saving changes in IOC doesn't rebuild that structure.
I am using the STM32H7B3I-EVAL, which includes a touch screen that uses the TouchGFX application. I am trying to do its tutorials, which includes modifying the code in the STM32CubeIDE. However, when I do, the file structure is different in my computer's file explorer compared to what is shown in the STM32CubeIDE project explorer. For example, the TouchGFX folder in my File Explorer is not present in the IDE project explorer. What causes this and what can be done to fix it?
I've got a strange issue. STM32H757I-EVAL board that is about 3 weeks old. I've been working on a board bring-up for a week and pulling my hair out. So I used an existing project and thinking that maybe I'm not crazy. This is what I see on the LCD ->
For example Unicode::snprintfFloat 70000.700f with "8.2f" incorrectly prints "70000.71", while snprintfFloat 60000.700 with "8.2f" correctly prints "60000.70"Test code:Unicode::snprintfFloat(textArea1Buffer, TEXTAREA1_SIZE, "%8.2f", 70000.700f); Unicode::snprintfFloat(textArea2Buffer, TEXTAREA2_SIZE, "%8.2f", 60000.700f);Output:70000.71 60000.70I can circumvent this by using regular snprintf() which prints this correctly, but any idea why this would print this example wrong? Unfortunately the snprintfFloat is closed-source function. Please fix.

Hi, how can I do if I want to display the float value in touchgfx screen?so, this is my stm32cubeide main.c which i want to display this type of data on the screen. so I extern into model.cpp file. then I put the float value here? I got confuse since a lot of tutorial only using the uint16_t. Is it correct or not ? please advice me and guide me for the step or any can i refer
Is it possible to make vertical progress bar? Because I try to add progress bars and all bars is horizontal. And here I see that I can't change progress bar width and height. (I add progress bar backgound).
I've been trying to get the (unmodified) example programs for the 32F769IDISCOVERY to draw anything on screen. LCD_DSI_CmdMode_DoubleBuffer works fine, but LCD_DSI_CmdMode_PartialRefresh, LCD_DSI_VideoMode_DoubleBuffering, and nearly all others just render random pixels to the screen. Once drawn the screen does not change - e.g. not a "snow" effect, just a static image. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello Developper Teams.I use STM32L073.About LCD Setting, The set voltage and measured voltage are different. For example, hlcd.Init.Contrast = LCD_CONTRASTLEVEL_0(2.6V) --> Measured voltage = 3.7VIs there another place to set it?Setting HD=1 dropped it down to 3V, but I can't understand it out.Is it compatible with LCD specifications?Best regard.
How can I use multiple events or multiple mixins in touchgfx. I've managed to use only one so far (like here). If I want to use several, I can't pass 2 callbacks to the view's constructor (in Screen1View.cpp).Screen1View::Screen1View():boxMoveAnimationEndedCallback(this, &Screen1View::boxMoveAnimationEndedHandler), boxClickedCallback(this, &Screen1View::boxClickHandler) { }When i select an event in touchgfx the following structure can be see(in Screen1ViewBase.hpp).touchgfx::MoveAnimator< touchgfx::Box > box1;If I use several, the structure is differenttouchgfx::ClickListener< touchgfx::MoveAnimator< touchgfx::Box > > box1;Does somebody has any idea? is it even possible to use multiple mixins?
Hi all, just a very basic test application and a basic question:Setup:Design a GUI with a button creating a virtual function as inetractionOpen project in IDE, add virtual function to the xxxView.hpp and xxxView.cpp.Include the appropriate board support package in order to toggle a LED.Put the BSP_LED_Toggle() in the virtual function.Initialize the BSP_LED in the main.cRun it from IDE - works like a charmProblem:Once done this, the simulator won't compile any more giving this error message:Quote:fatal error: stm32469i_discovery.h: No such file or directoryEnd of Quote:Question:Is there an easy and consitent way to tell the simulator where to find the file (i.e. all include files present in the project, as for the IDE)I suppose that the Project configuration in touchGFX might be the right place. But i'm not all too familiar with the overall project setup concerning the simulator. Can anybody help?Best regards,Wolf
