Hi,I want to start building a touch control panels stm32H7 dual MCU's, but confused to start with touchgfx or Stemwin. Can any one guide me which could be the better pick?Thanks in advance.
Hi I'm working since a couple of days with TouchGFX and a custom SPI-Display.Until here everything works fine. Even togheter with an RTOS.Now I would like to customize some sliders, progress bars and Icons.For me the most important question is, how to create a progress bar with a triangle look.Is there a kind of an example?Or generally how I must proceed to build such custom specific elements?Thanks in advanceGreetings Urs
Hello, i have stm32h745i for my project but unfortunately the SDRAM itself is not enough to handle my gui program.I use lvgl and squareline studio to make gui. I have thought that maybe if i can reduce the color depth from 32 to 16 will reduce my memory usage. Is it possible?
Hello,I checked but I didn't find any information, is there a TouchGFX roadmap available somewhere ?Regard,NME
Hello, I am in the need to design a custom board based on STM32F69I Discovery.The main need is to be able to plug an external HDMI display using the DMI adapter for this board, and have the attached display get the output. When the external HDMI is not present, the LCD display in the board remains functioning.Is there a sample than can handle this scenario, of where could I look for a solution.ThanksGustavo Galan
HiWe are in the need to dynamically graph a moving point based on an analog input.We have a solution when using a regular display driver like RA8875, however our desire is to use Touch GFX as the solution includes more than 1 simple screen.Is there something that get me started?ThanksGustavo Galan
Hi ,I'm using TouchGFX 4.21.4 version.I added screen changes related code (2 functions mentioned below) in FrontendApplication.cppvoid FrontendApplication::gotoScreen1NoTransition(){} void FrontendApplication::gotoScreen1NoTransitionImpl(){}Every time I run the generate code in TouchGFX this FrontendApplication.cpp is overwritten.The 2 functions which have added manually have been removed.Is this a bug in TouchGFX 4.21.4?
Dear Mr MartinIn touchGFX I can generate the code but I can´t simulate with this error:Compiling generated/gui_generated/src/screen_screen/screenViewBase.cppgui/src/model/Model.cpp:4:10: fatal error: stm32f4XX_hal.h: No such file or directory#include "stm32f4XX_hal.h"//obrigado declarar^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~compilation terminated.I already reinstall TouchGFX, I already rebuilt all my project in STM32CUBEIDE and nothing.This library is present in the Stm32cubeIDE path project.Do you have any idea of what is causing this error: thanks, Best regards.PS:TouchGFX 4.22.0-STM32F429
Hi,I'm trying to send an event when a button is clicked.I have added an interaction in Touchgfx designer to call a virtual function when the button is clicked.In Screen1view.cpp I'm overwriting the virtual functionvoid SendDataOnButtonClicked(){presenter->SetMode();}in presenter.cppvoid Screen1Presenter::SetMode(){model->SendEvent();}In Model.cppvoid Model::SendEvent(){Send data to backend.}Is this the correct way of sending data to backend when button is clicked ? Right now I'm stuck at view.cpp.I dont know how to call presenter from view.Codes that I tried.Method 1:Screen1ViewBase::presenter->SetMode();Method 2:Method 2:presenter->SetMode(); Both these codes are throwing compiler errors.Can somebody please help and let me know the right way of accessing the function in presenter?
I 'm displaying a clock on my STM32F746 disco board and I run into a weird behavior that I can not explain. But I'm new to STM32. I have the RTC initialized to 10 hours, 1 minute and 50 seconds in BCD format. The seconds set to 50 is so I only wait 10s for the display to update after flashing the board. The RTC alarm A is set for every 60s. The alarm A callback function is called which notifies a task to run and update the time which in turn is passed to setTimeDate nTimeDate argument.The view class (shown below) uptades the display. The hours, minutes, AM and PM are textboxes. Hours and minutes have each a wildcard. AM/PM don't have a wild card. The colons between the hours and minutes is a picture.The default value after flashing in the display is 00:00 and both AM and PM are shown. After the 10s the clock shows the correct time (10:02 AM) but after that the PM shows up on every odd minute (see picture). Could someone point out what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. void principalScreenV
Hi, I decided to learn how to create GUIs using TouchGFX and upon creating a project on TouchGFX, 2 questions popped up on my mind:1 - There's no template for the H757i-Eval Board; what would be the right procedure? Is there still some sort of template that I could use?2 - It's a Dual-Core Board, and as far I noticed, TouchGFX also has that Single-Core trend, just like you have when creating a RTOS (ThreadX) Project on CubeIDE, where you kind of have to select a Core for that Reat-Time part.What would be the right procedure here?I searched for the right approach when it comes to this board, but there's nothing on it. It seems like a got the wrong board.Thanks!
Hello,I have a problem adding a new section to QSPI with the graphics stored on it.I want to store some error-text tables in a new section of the QSPI flash.For that i shrinked the 64MB QSPI and added a new section in the linker script. QUADSPI (r) : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 64M-20M EXTERROR (r) : ORIGIN = 0x92800000, LENGTH = 20M Then i created the section: ExtErrorsSection : { *(ExtErrorsSection ExtErrorsSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >EXTERROR The error text file looks like that: const ErrorTexts __attribute__((__section__("ExtErrorsSection"))) SensorXYZ[] = { {0x1234, "Value1 out of range"}, {0x1235, "Value2 out of range"}, {0x1236, "Value3 out of range"}, {0x1237, "Value4 out of range"} }; At runtime i decide which type of sensor it is and copy the table.After building the code i can see at the Build Analyzer (i am using STM32CubeIDE) that the Memory Region "EXTERROR" is filled with the table and at the D
Hello, I have trouble cannot open apps Touchgfx 4.18.1 Designer in Windows. Any Solution? Thanks you
Hiwe had made a custom STM32 board and we had some issues setting up TouchGFX. Display parallel interface with 800 x 480 pixels Model - > AT070TN94MCU: STM32H7B0VBT6External Flash QuadSpi W25Q128JVI use external Flash Boot LoaderLDTC Clock 32MHzThe images are displayed well until they are updated, but after the update, they have problems. The problem can be seen in the video below.
Can someone tell me if/where the content that used to be in the open repository is now available? The open repository appears to have been recently wiped. https://github.com/touchgfx/touchgfx-open-repository/I'm also curious to know why it was wiped?
Hi,I'd like to discuss the best practice or approach to execute an infinite animation, like a GIF, to execute is while the screen is running.I've done a simple Box object, as an example purpose of my subject, to help in this topic. It could be line, circle or etc. Note: My goal here is about the shapes objects only.I'd like to know if its the best way to do it. My current touchgfx version is the 4.22.Many thanks!I attached my code.
Hi all,I'm following "Touch GFX #4. Send data to UI" youtube video to send data from the RTC to the display. My project is not complete or tested on the hardware. I'm building it as I go to check for errors. I kept getting the error below for the second screen. I checked all steps in the video and I followed them correctly. I'm not doing anything on the second screen since the video has only one screen. I made another simpler project (zip link to google drive the file size is about 94MB) and that built fine until I added an interaction to the button from the first screen to change to the second screen. I have an interaction in my original project. I started getting the same error as before. I'm pretty new to touchGFX and not much of its code make sense yet. My c++ skills are ok but inheritance, virtual functions and the like not so much. I'm pretty sure I'm missing something. If I remove the interaction or the whole second screen the problem goes away ... but that doesn't really h
I need to fine-tune the positions of text in different fonts. The method I have in mind is to create a setPosition function in TextArea.hpp. Inside this function, I obtain the FontId through this, and then set a fixed offset value according to the FontId. void setPosition(int16_t x, int16_t y, int16_t width, int16_t height) { int new_Y = y; if(this->getTypedText().hasValidId()) { int fontId =this->getTypedText().getFontId(); } if(fontId ==0) { new_Y+= offset1; }else if(fontId ==1){ new_Y+= offset2; }else if(fontId ==2){ new_Y+= offset3; }else if(fontId ==3){ new_Y+= offset4; }else if(fontId ==4){ new_Y+= offset5; }else if(fontId ==5){ new_Y+= offset6; }else{ // } Drawable::setPosition(x, new_Y, width, height); } Now, my problem is that many TextArea's hasValidId in the screen are false. As a result, the positions of many text areas cannot be set again. If I don't confirm through hasValidId, the following error will occu
I am using the STM32H745XIH6 board with touchgfx. And I am calling the HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA function in model.cpp whenever the user entered a string on the LCD.But I would like this HAL_UART function to be execute to main.c instead. How do I do this codewise? I am not very experienced with interacting C++ with C. The function that I want to transfer to main.c is SendData2MCU(int UART, int DMA, uint8_t* data) #include <gui/model/Model.hpp> #include <gui/model/ModelListener.hpp> #ifndef SIMULATOR #include "main.h" #include "string.h" extern "C" { extern UART_HandleTypeDef huart1; extern UART_HandleTypeDef huart3; extern UART_HandleTypeDef huart7; extern uint8_t RX1_String_cpy[512]; extern uint8_t RX3_String_cpy[512]; extern uint8_t RX7_String_cpy[512]; extern int DMA_complete; } #endif Model::Model() : modelListener(0), toggleGreenLEDButtonState(false), toggleRedLEDButtonState(false) { } void Model::tick() { #ifndef SIMULATOR modelListener->RX1_3Data
I understand the forum has a brand new system now and there can be bugs. But why can't see my reply posts anymore?I posted a reply on my post but it won't appear. I tried it 5x already and even closed browser.
Hi,We're wotking on a board with STM32G0 MCU.We have a HardFault in IAR IDE with drawStringLTR(widgetArea, invalidatedArea, stringVisuals, format, pArg); in void touchgfx::LCD::drawString function in generated file Texts.cppIt works when invalidatedArea is replaced by widgetArea but texts are not diplayed and we don't understand whyHave you ever heard about this ?
I am wondering if it's possible to replace all the C++ codes in the gui folder, that is, View.cpp, presenter.cpp & model.cpp with C codes instead?Would this result in a conflict with the other files in the generated folder if I leave them as .cpp? I understand I should never edit files in the generated folder as they are from touchgfx but files in gui folder, the user can edit. Has anyone try to write pure C in these files and resulted in working? The reason why I want to change to C is because my boss told me that with C++ there are some issues in regards to DMA performance and other functionalities. Somewhere down the line when the compiler translate C++ to assembly code, there are some issues that prevent DMA from working reliably. He told me that from time to time DMA would randomly stop working. Moreover, with C++ it's harder to read in the assembly code as there are parent and child structure as opposed to C which is much easier to read.Ideally we want pure C for our app
I've installed TouchGFX version and with STM32CubeMX generate code but in the TouchGFX folder does not find .touchgfx file. What is the problem?Stm32CubeMX version 6.8.1
I installed touch 4.10select STM32429I-Disc1after combining package:1 At startup and when I pressed "Run Target" or "Generate Code" the program shows: "Error during code generation".2 When I pressed "Run Simulator": "Unable to lounch simulator".When forming a project from CubeMX, the same thing happens.Does anyone know what's the matter?
I have a problem with version 4.19.1 of the designer in that it regularly freezes when trying to look at either a different container in the canvas view or a different screen. It is generally a bit slow moving between items, but lately it just locks up completely with the CPU at around 8%. If I try to close the app from the taskbar, it pops up a box asking if I want to save, discard or cancel, but it doesn't accept any keyboard or mouse input so the only way to kill it is via the task manager.It's pretty much unusable at the moment for the large-ish project that I've got now and I know there is a newer version but I can't upgrade that now that I've started this project otherwise I'll run into all sorts of issues with newer versions of the library etc.I've tried killing all other apps and have plenty of memory available, so not sure what else to do.
