STM32 MCUs Motor control

Hello community Please help me, i am facing issue related to injected ADC on PWM timerMCU : stm32f103, working on motor control for BLDC motorExcepted : When motor is running that means it generated PWM, at that time Injected ADC value must be shore.This is my ioc setting for PWM timer that is timer this is setting for injected ADC ioc filecode to state   HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*) Measured.rawADCValues, 4); HAL_ADCEx_InjectedStart_IT(&hadc1);void HAL_ADCEx_InjectedConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){ Measured.phaseADCValues[0]=HAL_ADCEx_InjectedGetValue(hadc, ADC_INJECTED_RANK_1); }

Hi everyone,I have problem about ST Motor Control Workbench.I can ' t generate project.I tried so many things(I installed and unistalled different versions , I changed OS language etc.) but I couldn't do it .Please help.

Hi, I'm using STSPIN32F0A to control BLDC.I have a question regarding the operation of the OC protection.we expected that the two corresponding low side MOSFETs would turn on when OC COMP pin detects the over current. However during actual operation, we observed that the two MOSFETs turn off for 1us which is equivalent to the dead time we set before turning on two low side MOSFETs.Can we remove this 1us period turning off both low side MOSFETs?We currently set OC_SEL(PA11) to 1.

I have STEVAL-CTM012V1 evaluation board for 250 W. I have followed all the procedure which are mention in the manual where I first load the firmware file stsw-ctm11 in motor control work bench then click on generate code then goes into cubemx then generate code and goes into STM32CubeIDE and project is created. So my question is that the generated project is enough to run motor means we just need to upload the code into the board and it will start motor right?

Hi everyone, I have purchased a STMicroelectronics STEVAL-CTM015V1 drive. How can I find its default firmware code (Current chopping control for switched reluctance motor) in  STM32CubeIDE workspace? I would like to get connected with the people already working with this product. Thank you, Regards

Hello,We've designed a STSPIN32F0251-based motor driver board, but when running the 6-step firmware algorithm, the motor aligns and then vibrates with a high-pitched sound. When we check the state-machine, we can see it reaches the RUN state after executing ALIGNMENT.We probed the inverter output phases on both our custom board and the EVSPIN32F02Q1S1 evaluation board, observing significant differences in pulse width and voltage levels, despite using:The same user codeThe same PSUThe same motor & encoderScope CapturesCustom Board:Channel 1 = OUTAChannel 2 = OUTBChannel 3 = OUTCEVSPIN32F02Q1S1:Channel 1 = OUTAChannel 2 = OUTBChannel 3 = OUTCChannel 4 = Current Sense Amplifier OutputBoard ModificationsTo match the EVAL board, we made the following PCB modifications:RES5 pin grounded via flywire.V+ and V- on U2 were corrected by lifting the pins and flywiring to the correct nets. There are more differences between the two boards, I detailed them here below and attached the schematic PD

Hi Team, Reference to the trailing mail, please refer the image.. Please support me in fixing the issue..

Hello,Setup: G431 MCU, custom board with three phase voltage channels, HSO. Default Workbench generated project measures three currents, three voltages, Vbus and Temperature. We need to measure two additional analog signals, how to make it without reworking most of oversampling and ADC relates defines and structures?Simple modification @ STM32CubeIDE will not work because DMA structures are deep in motor control code.Thank you in advance!Sergey

I wasn't able to find the STM32 MC SDK reference manual. Can anyone share a link ?

How can I change the rev-up and stop ramps programatically ?I can change the rev-up ramp through motor pilot but I have to do it everytime it connects.I want to control that through the program.I'm using code generated from the MC WB / MC MX / MX IDE chain.Board is a B-G431B-ESC1Thank you

I am using B-G431B-ESC1 board and GBM2804H-100T Brushless Gimbal Motor, properly generated the code. But upon receiving PWM signal, Motor is behaving:Motor spins then zero spins then zero soon then spins.Although Motor is working with other controllers fine and fresh B-G431B-ESC board also behaving same. Kindly explain.

Hi, my name is Luis.I'm using MC SDK 6.3.2 with a custom board for a single shunt driver in 6-step mode.I defined the OCP mode to  use internal comparator and enabled over current protection in MC project configuration. The generated ioc file configures the DAC3 OUT1, COMP and enables, for TIM1, BRK from CMP1 source with polarity high. What I have not seen anywhere is the DAC value corresponding to the current limit I have configured.I've tried to trigger overcurrent protection with a motor I'm driving correctly by brakeing it, but I'm unable to trigger protection even if the current is way above the configured threshold. It looks like SDK doesn't really handle the configuration of the DAC and so overcurrent protection is just not implemented. On a different board with a 3-shunt resistor I have seen the .DAC_OCP_ASelection defined in R3_ParamsM1 inside mc_parameters.c and the function R3_SetAOReferenceVoltage called inside r3_g4xx_pwm_curr_fdbk.c and it seems to work o

I am unable to perform the operation on my STM nuclio board and IHM03 motor control board.I have installed the ST motor control SDK,STMcube mx,IAR WB 8. by seeing the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g28Ki8adfEBut I have encountered the following errors.2025-02-25 23:49:05,433 DEBUG [Main.lambda$run$0] Arguments: [-ioc, D:\Skill development\Work Projects\motor control\Motor_control_prj\MY_Project\MY_Project.ioc, -xdm, D:\Skill development\Work Projects\motor control\Motor_control_prj\MY_Project\MY_Project.wb_def]2025-02-25 23:49:05,438 DEBUG [ArgsValue.readPropertiesFile] [AppConfig] pack.source = "C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\MC_SDK_5.4.8\Middlewares\ST\MotorControl"2025-02-25 23:49:05,439 DEBUG [ArgsValue.readPropertiesFile] [UserConfig] do not exist in "C:\Users\Vivian_Vincent\.st_motor_control\wb2mx.properties"2025-02-25 23:49:05,439 DEBUG [ArgsValue.getConfigProperties] pack.source = "../../../../Middlewares/ST/MotorControl"2025-02-25 23:49:05,450 DEBUG [ArgsV

When compiling a test app for the B-G431B-ESC1 board, I generated code using the MC Workbench and cube MX for a 6-step control of a BLDC.If while in the Workbench, I choose to enable the "Electronic Speed Control" option, I get the error below when compiling inside the ST IDE: C:/Users/pjreb/.st_workbench/projects/test_4_6s/MCSDK_v6.3.2-Full/MotorControl/MCSDK/MCLib/Any/Src/esc.c:293: multiple definition of `TIM2_IRQHandler'; ./Application/User/stm32g4xx_mc_it.o:C:/Users/pjreb/.st_workbench/projects/test_4_6s/Src/stm32g4xx_mc_it.c:103: first defined here How can I fix this? Thanks

I am using GBM1008H-150T PMSM motor. Cannot get motor parameters using "Start profile". Motor is noisy and rotates jerkily. I am applying 24V. Specification says the motor has 14 pole pairs and 7 KV.

hello st community!I installed today STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.17.0 Build: 23558_20241125_2245 (UTC). I want develop the firmware for a motor controller with the stspin32g4 mcu. i cant select this mcu in the target selector for the new project. why did the people at st.com not have this mcu in the target selector?what is a work around? i already run a serach for updates but it came back with no new updates.should I select a G431 mcu? but I think the pin config will be different then. i have 5 mcu stspin32g4 here.and the datasheet look like they are perfect for a small esc because the stspin32g4 with 170MHz has enough power to run FOC. and the BOM and pcb is small. thank you if you can help meFrank

I am trying to connect a Nucleo-F446RE with an X-Nucleo-IHM08M1 to the Motor Pilot from Motor Control Workbench 6.3.2. When I manage to open the VCP on the ST-Link, Motor Pilot tells me to configure the board. I have tried all baud rates, changed cables, and even replaced the Nucleo board, but I keep encountering the same issue. Am I missing something? Additionally, I am having trouble finding proper documentation for this version of the Workbench (6.3.2).

Dear All, The IPMlnmx decoder on the STEVAL-IPM30B board—what is its function?I cannot find any relevant documentation about it.Does anyone know?  Best Regards,

Hello Everybody,   MCSDK:6.3.0 CubeMX: 6.3.0 Workbench : 6.3.0 Cube IDE : 1.15.0 Power Board : IHM08M1(Rshunt=0.01Ω) Control Board : NUCLEO-G431RB Motor : BLDC 26w 24v/8 pole pairs / rpm=4k / rated current=1.8A/hall sensor   I am currently testing the use of STC_ExecRamp(). In WORKBENCH, the default speed is set to 1000. However, when I call STC_ExecRamp() in the code and change the speed to 500, the readback speed is still 1000. I have set it to Speed Mode. Could anyone point out what might be wrong?

MCSDK:mdsdk6.3.1 In the decoupling term calculation of the current loop, is there an error? welecT is of the fixp30_t type, while the compensation term uses FIXP_mpy(upQ, welecT). The result obtained in this case should still be Q30. Should FIXP_mpy be changed to FIXP30_mpy?

MCSDK 6.3.1Does the HSO algorithm in FOC support IPMSM motors? I see that in the MCSDK software, i can select IPMSM, but the generated code does not include ld and lq. Does this mean the HSO algorithm can only be used with SPMSM?

I can't see the dead time between the signals of the high and low MOSFETs of the same phase on the oscilloscope. The motor runs properly without load, but when a load is applied, the high and low MOSFETs of the same phase burn out. Photos and software are below. I'm using six-step

I am using the EVLSPIN32G0A1 board to control a BLDC motor with the FOC / 6-step (trapezoidal) commutation algorithm with Hall sensor feedback. I have a few questions regarding its implementation and customization:1. Potentiometer Default Function: What is the default purpose of the potentiometer in the provided firmware? Does it control motor speed, duty cycle, or another parameter?2. Commutation Timing: How does the default firmware handle commutation timing? Is it based on Hall sensors, back-EMF detection, or fixed timing?Where can I get detailed information about this in the documentation? Thank you.
