STM32 MCUs Embedded software

Hello,I'm facing a bizarre issue with USART2 in STM32H7 chip.My H7 is connected to 8 F072 chips via UART. Communication with each chip uses a dedicated UART from 1 to 8.All the data exchanges in both RX and TX work fine during normal operativity of my product even exchanging lots of data. I dont use any RTOS, I set priority in the NVIC table to manage concurrency.-----The problem starts when from the H7 I manage to transmit to the F0s a new version of their software to be installed by a bootloader. Once again during the data transmission and even the copy by the boot everything is fine. At the end of the installation process inside the F0s, when the main application is launched by the boot, that sends 3 bytes of "welcome" to the H7 to confirm the process has completed successfully.For UART 1 and from 3 to 8 the welcome bytes are sent and received correctly. for UART2 I see an overrun error on the RX of the peripheral. Hi, I am planning to use STM32H5 series uController in one of our test card application, as part of it i am exploring different software offerings avaialble for that series.In doc, Embedded software solutions ST, 3rd parties and Open source (stm32-stm8_software_development_tools.pdf) page no8, has list of software solutions and list of MCU families where support is available.There is no H5 listed here.How i know Standard Peripheral libray, HAL, LL support for STM32H5 family?

Hello.I have a custom board with STM32F750 MCU which has 64KB Internal Flash. Since the MCU's internal Flash is very limited i added external flash to board. I developed 2 different projects for Internal and External Flash. Internal Project starts with Internal Flash address. It omly includes Memory mapped init and jump codes to external Flash. External Flash Project starts with External Flash address(0x90000000). Application code stores in here.I need r/w internal or external flash's one page or sector as a eeprom. As i know, i can't write data to external memory because it is memory mapped. Can the application code(which stored at Ext Flash), write and read internal flash?

Hello,I am using freertos configured by STM32CubeMx.The IWDG is activated and configured by STM32CubeMx too.I met an issue in my code but this is not the purpose of this post.Due to this issue the STM32L431 stays blocked indefinitly despite the IWDG is activated!How can this be possible?I never met such a case when using other OS.Can freertos block IWDG?Best regardsMich.

Hello, I am working on Ethernet with the STM32H753 board. After configuring the necessary Ethernet settings, I can ping the assigned IP address of the board. However, after a few minutes, I can no longer ping it. What could be the reason for this issue? I am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.17.0 and library version 1.12.0. Thank you for your help!

Hello,I'm using AzRTOS with FileX.  Currently, I can detect when the SD card is plugged in, then I initialize the hardware, and call fx_media_open().   The filesystem works as expected.I can also unmount the media with fx_media_close(), and the user can pull out the card.  That works.The problem is when the user pulls the SDcard when the media is open.  I detect the card removal and try to call fx_media_close(), but that just hangs the system when calling fx_media_close().  Is there a special procedure needed to recover when the media is removed?thanksMatthew

Hi, We are developing PD multiport design with TCPM/TCPC architecture, but we've come across a post of CPM stack should be no longer supported for newer products. https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/usbc-pd-tcpm-on-the-stm32u5/m-p/637207 We understand G series have replaced much of the PD functions. That aside, our question is: is there a reason that ST no longer support TCPM/TCPC style design, whether the trend is moving to obsolete this model?Thank you. 

First, let's introduce the usage environment.The Board is STM32H747I-DISCO, the LCD board is MB1166-A09,and the pack is STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.0.Now I'll describe my issue. In the official routine LCD_DSI_CmdMode_SingleBuffer, DSI uses two data lanes to communicate with the display, and the display can be displayed correctly.Now I want to use one data lane to communicate with the display, the LCD do not show anything.I made the following changes to the official routine：OTM8009A is driver IC of LCD(MB1166-A09), and have a pin LANSEL to select one  or  two data lanes communicate with MCU. However I unable to find the LANSEL pin pad . Does that mean users cannot change two data lanes to one data lane of LCD side？I want to know how to achieve DSI communicate with the LCD (MB1166-A09) with one data lane. Looking forward to your reply！

Hi all,I tried to install X-Cube-Audio in cubeIDE but it is not in the list of software packages. I tried to use "From local..." and pointed to the zip file but I got an error (picture below). There is an X-Cube-Audio-F7 that is obsolete but nothing indicated that X-Cube-Audio is obsolete. How do I install X-Cube-Audio in cubeIDE? I'm interested in the audio player (mp3 and wav) for STM32F746 Discovery board. Thanks

I'm using a STM32L051C8T6 in a custom board. The software function is to enter stop mode to reduce the current consumption and only wake the MCU up with GPIO EXTI, RTC wakeup timer and UART wake up. The device is entering the low power mode and exiting successfully, but I'm facing issues with my UART after waking up. My UART is configured to use DMA on Rx and Tx, but now I'm only using the DMA on Tx, for testing purpose. My problem is that after waking up via UART, I want to keep the microcontroller awaken attending to configuration commands, until receive a configuration ending command. Hello, I downloaded STM32CubeExpansion_Audio_V1.1.1 and I tested the MP3 player project (Audio_MP3_player) with an STM32746G-Discovery.It works very well.But now, I would like to add 2 or 3 additional functions but I have big gaps in development.I would like to add a speed or pitch function (+/- 10%) and a reverse play function.When playing a WAV or MP3 file, the audio file is buffered before being played.I think it's in the fwkmempool.c file or player.c file to add these functions but I can't seem to.If anyone can help me it would be welcome.Thanks for your help.Regards.

For starting I generate the code with the CubeMX and try to call the MX_LWIP_Init() in a startAppTask. But ethernet_input is only called at the start and then never more.I just want to ping my board for the beginning...I certainly misunderstand something, but I don't know what...

Hi All              I designed the hardware using the STM32H753VIT6 and the 3-port Ethernet switch KSZ9893RNXI. The STM32 is configured and can communicate with the external world via Ethernet. However, I'm unable to read or write to the switch register using the MDC/MDIO interface with the HAL functions HAL_ETH_ReadPHYRegister and HAL_ETH_WritePHYRegister. Hello,I am using STM32U575CGU6 MCU and want to use wolfSSL library with minimal flash consumption. My application intends to used DTLS 1.3 and no TLS use case is foreseen. Note: The wolfSSL library version used is 5.7.6. Kindly support me with following issues,1. How can I correctly configure DTLS 1.3. It seems that the DTLS1.3 implementation is not available and the library configured over the tool just supports DTLS 1.2. 2. While using DTLS, I have to also necessarily configure TLS 1.3 and TLS 1.2 to compile the code. This increases the overall code memory. Can this be avoided?
