Hi All, In datasheet of STM32N657X0H3Q controller only power-up sequencing details are shown., Is there any power down sequencing is required?If Yes, Please suggest the document which gives complete information of power down sequencing.
Introduction: While testing the U575 with external PSRAM connected over OCTOSPI1, certain memory test scenarios fail deterministically. Setup: Using a STM32U575, connected on OCTO-SPI1 to PSRAM (IS66WVH8M8) 8MB in size. The STM is configured in memory mapped mode, hyperbus enabled, no DMA or Cache enabled, & wrap/burst mode disabled. While testing the PSRAM using Barr tests, found that the data bus and address bus test pass, but the device test had a deterministic pass/fail behavior. The device test passed for any size as long as the test wasn't crossing the 2MB boundary. Base (start) address Size Result 0x9000 0000 2 MB Test passes (also for 0x9020k,0x9040k, 0x9060k resp.) 0x9010 0000 2MB Test fails, around 0x9020 0000. 0x9030 0000, 0x9050 0000 respectively 2MB Test fails, around 0x9040 0000 and 0x90600000 respectively. 0x901FF000 2 kB Test fails around 0x9020 0000. While debugging/analyzing code found something inter
Hello there,I'm trying to create a project for stm32h7s7 with external loader. But when i added the external loader in IOC file the all indexes were lost in editor mode. But I checked for building, i can't see any problem. I tried index -> rebuild but it could not help me
Hi!I'm working on a Trustzone enabled application in STM32U5A5 nucleo board and have some questions in my mind. I have used the configurations of the example project for the Trustzone, which you can find below: - TZEN=1 - SECWM1_PSTRT=0x0 SECWM1_PEND=0xFF meaning all 128 pages of Bank1 set as secure - SECWM2_PSTRT=0xFF SECWM2_PEND=0x0 meaning no page of Bank2 set as secure, hence Bank2 non-secure I have enabled SAU and left it with the default configuration. I've also enabled the GTZC_S. In my application, I'm using TAMP mechanism of the RTC to create an interrupt when the output signal doesn't match the input signal. First question:My application can boot from the secure app and jump to non-secure app without any problems. But in the MX generated NonSecure_Init() function, after the line SCB_NS->VTOR = VTOR_TABLE_NS_START_ADDRThe SCB->VTOR_NS register doesn't change, remains as 0x0 (according to the SFR in the debug interface). After the boot to non-secure
I have an ILI9341 SPI screen and a small self-made library that can display different numbers on the screen. I want to be able to update the screen (display a new number) every time there is an interrupt. I have tested the screen functions independently, and they work properly. But when I call them from the interrupt handler, they fail. The board is STM32F407G-DISC1. Timer configuration static void MX_TIM2_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 0 */ TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 1 */ htim2.Instance = TIM2; htim2.Init.Prescaler = 999; htim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim2.Init.Period = 335900; htim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim2) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } sClockSourceConfig.ClockS
Our product is a space device and as a result, we've had to recently do some radiation testing of the device. In particular, focused on the STM32H755 processor that runs the board.I'm looking for any papers/references/app_notes, anything, that can help me to gather details about how the processor performs in a radiation environment.And yes, I realize this is not a rad-hard or rad-tolerant processor. 8-)Thanks.-brad w.
Hi there !i work with DS2482 I2c to one wire . After i send the command reset i need the read the status register until i find one bit at 1, so i wrote my routine in this way static uint8_t DS2482_Status_Register(void) { uint8_t register_status=0; uint8_t data=0; while(register_status !=0x02 ) { Master_Recive_Data(DS2482_Addr, &data, 1); // HAL_Delay(1); dato= data; register_status = data; register_status &= 0x02; } if(register_status != 0x02) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } return HAL_OK; } when i run the program i recive error 4 from i2C formvoid HAL_I2C_ErrorCallback(I2C_HandleTypeDef *hi2c) { } But if in the code below i put one delay of 1ms everything work perfect . So there is one "elegant" way to resolve the problem ? or there are other solution ? Thanks a lotSergio
Hi all.I want to do read/write on eeprom microwire 93c66 but there is no open source HAL library that I can find. how can I do it? I am new to stm32.Thanks
Hello, I’m starting a new design with the STM32H755. I also have the dev board (Nucleo-H755ZI-Q), but I do not have its schematic. So far, the closest schematic/design reference I’ve found is Figure 18 in AN4938 (“Getting started with STM32H755”). Could you please share more schematic references? I was thinking about the following: The complete NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q schematic and the BOM Any additional pages/details related to the Figure 18 schematic (it appears to reference a multi-page schematic, but we only have the first page in this document) Any other official schematic/reference design examples for STM32H755 that I could use as a starting point Thank you for your time and help!
I am working on STM32N6570-DK board. I am trying to run a code for three channels ADC+DMA, INP8, INP10, INP16. The output at USART is coming out to be zero in all three channels. I am attaching the code here.

Hello,Looking at the HRS FreeRTOS example applications code for STM32WB55, I see several task configured with osPriorityNone as priority.This priority level is defined as meaning 'no priority, not initialized' in cmsis header.Why is it used here ? How are the tasks supposed to run if they don't have priority ? Does that in effect act as a very high or very low priority ?Regards.
Hello, I want to drive a BLDC motor using the EVAL-L9907 in combination with the Nucleo-401RB board, and I want to use the STM32 Motor Control Workbench. I have tried to configure a custom board for the EVAL-L9907 in the Motor Control Workbench, but I cannot set some of the functionality (e.g. current sensing, enable GPIOs). Is there a way to obtain a JSON file for the EVAL-L9907 that I can import into the Motor Control Workbench? Many thanks in advance.
I have a project for a battery-powered clock using the STM32WBA55 chip. The battery is replaceable; the device can sit unused on a shelf for up to 4 months without the battery. Since the STM32WBA55 doesn't have VBAT or VRTC pins, how can I keep the backup recorder, time, and date active?
I get no message if i send some bytes about my terminal tool. Because i have no schematic i dont know waht going wrong. Do i need an external supply( target ) or do i need pullup resistor or someone else? A target board isnt still connected.
Hi everyone,I am bringing up a custom board based on the STM32H743VIT6. I am trying to connect via ST-Link (SWD), but I am getting the standard "Can not connect to target" error in STM32CubeProgrammer.The Setup:MCU: STM32H743VIT6Debugger: ST-LinkInterface: SWD (SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, 3.3V detected)Power Supply: External 3.3V. Board voltage source to provide the necessary power for the system, something that ST-Link alone cannot do.The Problem: After failing to connect, I probed the power pins and found abnormal values:VCAP Pin: I measured 2.7 V on the VCAP pin. As I understand it, VCAP corresponds to the internal LDO output for VCORE and should normally be around 1.2 V. Does a reading of 2.7 V indicate an internal short circuit to VDD or a blown LDO?VDD Drop (Pin 75): On Pin 75 (VDD input), I have a known bad solder connection (trace compromised). I measured 2.3V on this pin.Question: Since the other VDD pins are correctly supplied with 3.3V, shouldn't the internal silicon power mesh maint
My STM32H533VE works as PD Sink.We connected CC1/CC2 with DBCC1/DBCC2 (as AN5225), STM32 cannot power up with a USB PD adapter. The adapter supplies power for ~20ms then stops the supplying.If I remove the long time initialization code (LSE initialization), system can boot up and USB PD works fine (PDO can switch).Is this normal? if yes, I may move the LSE initialization later.
Hi everyone,I’m feeling a bit defeated by a task that should be "Hello World" level simple. I’m trying to get a basic printf to show up in PuTTY using a NUCLEO-G474RE, but I’m getting absolutely nothing in the terminal.I do this all the time with my NUCLEO-H723ZG using USART3 and it works like a charm. For the G4, I’ve switched over to USART2, but no luck.Here is my setup:Toolchain: CubeMX + CMake.The Logic: I've overwritten __io_putchar() with a HAL_UART_Transmit call.The Config: USART2 is enabled, baud rate matches PuTTY (115200), and the clocks seem fine.I even had a friend who uses G4 boards regularly take a look, and even he couldn't figure out why the data isn't hitting the ST-Link. It feels like I'm missing one tiny, G4-specific checkbox or jumper setting.I've put together a bare-bones repository with just the code for the printf here: https://github.com/mpek29/nucleoG4Has anyone else run into similar issues ?Thanks in advance for any pointers, I'm sure it's something silly I've
Hello, I am currently evaluating the STM32N6570-DK and am seeking clarification regarding a discrepancy I’ve encountered. I can confirm that there is a 48MHz crystal on board for the HSE. However, the default CubeMX projects generated by the board selector, as well as other example projects I have reviewed, all configure the input frequency to 24MHz. Could you please clarify what the correct input frequency for the HSE should be on this discovery kit? Thank you for your assistance.
Hello,I am using NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q (STM32H755) and I am observing a reproducible boot issue related to high system clock frequency.1. I have a custom board with stm32wba65 processor. I also have an RFM95 LoRa module. I need to add LoRaWAN capability. I tried adding I-CUBE-LRWAN into my CubeMX but was not able to load it (not a recognised package).How can I get an ST or Semtech approved LoRaWAN stack into my project?Please do not suggest I use stm32WL processor.
Hello STM Community,I currently have a NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board and the X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 motion MEMS and environmental sensor expansion board. I’m looking to add BLE functionality and was considering the X-NUCLEO-WB05KN1.Before proceeding, I’d like to ask:Are the X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 and X-NUCLEO-WB05KN1 compatible when stacked together on the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q?If not, is there an alternative BLE expansion board that is known to work well with the IKS4A1 on this Nucleo board?Alternatively, is there an expansion or adapter board that allows both shields to be connected without pin conflicts?Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance.
Hello all,Trying to set up the custom display on the STM32H750B-DK dev board.Interestingly, the display works via LTDC functions in Keil just fine... but I do not have much luck with the TouchGFX. For example, started with setting up the TBS in the Designer to avoid the complications of memory and other configurations (thanks to the ST support) and continuing in the CubeIDE where I have opened the .*.ioc file to update the MX configuration for the LTDC and TouchGFX... it compiles ok, I can opend the TouchGFX designer and "upload" the picture, for example, I can see the picture to be in the memory. See attached build memory analyzer.However, when I run the application or debug, I cannot see the preview of the picture.One of the ideas, as it is explained in the TouchGFX manual, namely Board bring up, would be to preview a simple framebuffer, not sure how easily that would be?I am not sure how to tackle this problem, so any comments, ideas, or hints are more than welcome! Best.
Hi, I'm working with a STM32WL5MOC with the STM32Cube FW_WL V1.4.0. In my main.c I have this initialization: MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_LPUART1_UART_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_ADC_Init(); MX_CRC_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); MX_LoRaWAN_Init(); I put the MX_LoRaWAN_Init after all inizialization. However, I noticed that the code get stacked in MX_RTC_Init();, in particular on here if (HAL_RTCEx_SetSSRU_IT(&hrtc) != HAL_OK).I attach the ioc file and the main. Thanks.
The Errata sheet for STM32G030x6/x8, ES0486 - Rev 6, states in chapter 2.2.9:After connecting the debug interface and until the device power-down, the boot source upon reset or wakeup from a low-power mode is determined by the PA14-BOOT0 pin level before connecting the debug interface (stored by the device), as opposed to the actual PA14-BOOT0 pin level. The device power-up restores the operation of the PA14-BOOT0 pin as direct boot source selector.But this also applies to the empty check: if the debug interface is connected, the empty check is only updated on device power-up (reset is not sufficient).So, if you program an empty device with the STM32CubeIDE in order to debug the software, you need to stop the first debugging session, perform a power cycle and start the next debugging session. Otherwise, the µC will keep executing the bootloader and debugging will fail with “Break at address 0x1f… with no debug information available, or outside of program code”.
