Posted on April 20, 2018 at 11:55 Hello, I'm interfacingSTM32H743II with 8080 parallel bus LCD. I configured FMC in CubeMX as LCD Interface with 16bit bus and A11 as R/S pin. However I've run into problem with writing commands/data into LCD. A single uint16_t write under 0x68000000 address results in 4 writes to memory, out of which first write is valid data, and rest are 0, as seen on logic analyser snapshot. Write is performed by following code: #define COMMAND_POINTER 0x68000000 #define DATA_POINTER 0x68001000 ... static uint16_t * command = (uint16_t *) COMMAND_POINTER; static uint16_t * data = (uint16_t *) DATA_POINTER; ... *command = ILI9341_SWRESET; //software reset??????????? I also tried HAL_SRAM_Write_16b(), but result is the same. These writes basically compile to strh (Store register halfword) instruction, and executing this single instruction causes 4 write accesses to LCD. After little investigation i noticed, that writes under incremented addr

Hello, I have an issue with the ADC conversion timing while using the DMA controller.I have only configured 1 ADC channel, 12b res. and the ADC clock is at 24MHz (50% of SYSCLK), and it shows correct conversion results (verified by a simple voltage divider).However, I tried timing it and it takes 6.6us with optimization on. The datasheet shows 0.4us per conversion. I am using theHAL_ADC_Start_DMA() function. My timer starts right before it and stops in the HAL_ADC_ConversionCpltCallback() function. Is this timing the result of abstraction layer overhead, or am I missing something?Thanks! :)

I am using EVB NUCLEO-H503RB with I3C Target feature. I have successfully assign a dynamic address (0x50) to this I3C Target: However, I could not get ACK from this Target with Address 0x50:   Below are my configure, is there anything missing for responding the address? /** * @brief I3C1 Initialization Function * @param None * @retval None */ static void MX_I3C1_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN I3C1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END I3C1_Init 0 */   I3C_FifoConfTypeDef sFifoConfig = {0}; I3C_TgtConfTypeDef sTgtConfig = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN I3C1_Init 1 */ /* I3C1 interrupt Init */   /* USER CODE END I3C1_Init 1 */ hi3c1.Instance = I3C1; hi3c1.Mode = HAL_I3C_MODE_TARGET; hi3c1.Init.TgtBusCharacteristic.BusAvailableDuration = 0x1e; // if (HAL_I3C_Init(&hi3c1) != HAL_OK) // { // Error_Handler(); // }   /** Configure FIFO */ sFifoConfig.RxFifoThreshold = HAL_I3C_RXFIFO_THRESHOLD_1_4; sFifoConfig.TxFifoThreshold = HAL_I3C_TXFIFO_THRES

I understand that when TouchGFX Designer starts, it connects to the server and downloads board setup and example.I want to know that server logs or not because my company security policy.Thank you and regards

When I create a new project in CubeMx 5.3.0 for the STM32H745-DISCO board with or without default peripheral initialization and configure, for example, pins PA8 and PF8 as GPIO_Output, they appear on the list of GPIO pins, but the function MX_GPIO_Init() in main.c generated by CubeMx doesn't have any initialization code for those pins and the corresponding ports. CubeMx generates the correct code for GPIO pin initialization for single-core MCU's, such as the H743, but it seems like it doesn't work for the dual-core MCU's such as H745.

I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.11.2 and STM32CubeMX Version: 6.7.0.I have a question regarding the implementation of the SDIO SD card in 4 bit mode on a stm32F407 cardI am using the following configurationSDIO Global interrupt, SDIO_RX and SDIO_TX DMASDIOCLK clock divide factor 5  Unfortunately it doesn't work. The f_mount function returns an error (Error SD card) On the other hand if I replace SDIO_BUS_WIDE_4B by SDIO_BUS_WIDE_1Bline hsd.Init.BusWide = SDIO_BUS_WIDE_1B; as shown the program works.

Hello everyoneDoes anyone have example code for Azure RTOS USBX device class video (UVC)?I was able to add Video to my USBX demo application on Nucleo H7A3There was sample code for CDC_ACM and MSC (mass storage), this worked fine. But for device class video, I was not able to find any example code. CubeIDE 1.12.1 generated two files ux_device_video.cux_device_video.hBut both files only contain prototypes of callback functions which need to be filled Like this:/** * @brief USBD_VIDEO_StreamRequest * This function is invoked to manage the UVC class requests. * @param video_stream: Pointer to video class stream instance. * @param transfer: Pointer to the transfer request. * @retval status */ UINT USBD_VIDEO_StreamRequest(UX_DEVICE_CLASS_VIDEO_STREAM *video_stream, UX_SLAVE_TRANSFER *transfer) { UINT status = UX_SUCCESS;   /* USER CODE BEGIN USBD_VIDEO_StreamRequest */ UX_PARAMETER_NOT_USED(video_stream); UX_PARAMETER_NOT_USED(transfer); /* USER CODE END USBD_VIDEO_StreamR

I try to build system that communicate via ethernet and also wants to update software in the same way. The question is what is the best way to handle this kind of system?for example :1) my own bootloader + flash program x 2 ,bootloader will manage it 2) using st bootloader, If this is even possible? (in this way I'm Worried that in some state the system can be in brick state).Additional ideas are welcomeThanks, M

Hi,I would like to refer to the P-NUCLEO-WB55 example BLE_Custom and apply it to the stm32wb30 custom board.I have succeeded in operating BLE_Custom in LPM mode on NUCLEO-WB55 by referring to the following questions.Stm32WB custom BLE example issue with low powerBased on this example, I modified the following code to operate LPM mode on STM32WB30.//stm32_lpm_if.c //static void ExitLowPower(void)   /* USER CODE BEGIN ExitLowPower_1 */ LL_RCC_HSE_Enable( ); __HAL_FLASH_SET_LATENCY(FLASH_LATENCY_1); while(!LL_RCC_HSE_IsReady( )); LL_RCC_SetSysClkSource(LL_RCC_SYS_CLKSOURCE_HSE); while (LL_RCC_GetSysClkSource( ) != LL_RCC_SYS_CLKSOURCE_STATUS_HSE); /* USER CODE END ExitLowPower_1 *///app_ble.c //void APP_BLE_Init(void)   /* USER CODE BEGIN APP_BLE_Init_4 */ #if (L2CAP_REQUEST_NEW_CONN_PARAM != 0) UTIL_SEQ_RegTask(1<<CFG_TASK_CONN_UPDATE_REG_ID, UTIL_SEQ_RFU, Connection_Interval_Update_Req); #endif /* L2CAP_REQUEST_NEW_CONN_PARAM != 0 */ /* USER CODE END APP_BLE_Init

Hi, i am trying to call timer interrupt handler using registers and the following is my code, but the problem is that the function is being not called, I see no output in the oscilloscope or live expression. First my DAC value is still 0, the counter is running though. I also tried to use toggle breakpoint to see where the problem lies and I think it's at this point // Clear the interrupt flag     TIM2->SR &= ~TIM_SR_UIF;but i am not sure. Could anyone confirm if what i am doing is correct/wrong? Btw, i am using stm32-g071rb. int main(){/* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); MX_DAC1_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */// TIM2->DIER |= TIM_DIER_UIE;     // Enable the update (overflow) interrupt NVIC_SetPriority(TI

Hello world,I'm developing a FW for STM32F107VCT6 which can change GPIO direction programmatically: there is a terminal command which can switch individually 7 pins* mapped on different ports between GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP \ GPIO_MODE_INPUT.I'm wondering if is there a way to read GPIO direction using STM32 HAL the same way I use HAL_GPIO_ReadPin for the status.Since the code is completely written pointing the resources with an header file which defines are used to feed HAL drivers calls, I don't want to write just for this code which dive down to GPIOx_CRL/H MODEx pins....is there a more straightforward way?Thanks*: Pin listed below#define EXP6_Pin GPIO_PIN_8 #define EXP6_GPIO_Port GPIOB #define EXP5_Pin GPIO_PIN_9 #define EXP5_GPIO_Port GPIOB #define EXP4_Pin GPIO_PIN_10 #define EXP4_GPIO_Port GPIOC #define EXP3_Pin GPIO_PIN_11 #define EXP3_GPIO_Port GPIOC #define EXP2_Pin GPIO_PIN_5 #define EXP2_GPIO_Port GPIOA #define EXP1_Pin GPIO_PIN_6 #define EXP1_GPIO_Port GPIOA #define EXP0_Pin GP

Running v1.12.1 of STM32CubeIDE. I noticed that the OTG SFRs are not showing up for the STM32L475. They do show up for an STM32L476. Does anyone know how I can fix this? thanks

I have upgraded Touchgfx designer to latest version 4.21.4 .I created a new project and in the screen added a new line progress bar.I encountered linker errors c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.10.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.0.202111181127\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: (.text._ZNK8touchgfx19PainterRGB888Bitmap5paintEPhssssh+0xfa): undefined reference to `touchgfx::paint::rgb888::lineFromARGB8888(unsigned char*, unsigned long const*, unsigned int, unsigned char)'collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit statusmake: *** [makefile:100: EVK043013B.elf] Error 1and hence as per the FAQ suggestion included #include <touchgfx/hal/PaintRGB888Impl.hpp>in the view.cpp file.Which in turn leads me to this error:/../Middlewares/ST/TouchGFX/touchgfx/framework/include/touchgfx/hal/PaintRGB888Impl.hpp:140:35: error: 'blendL8CLUT' was not declared in this scope.Is this a known issue in the latest Touchgfx version?How to resolve this i

I'm currently working on a project involving a NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board.I want to know if it's possible to power the board with User USB instead of ST-Link USB.Or if it's possible to transfer data using ST-Link USB and use User USB for debugging.Thank you in advance!

All data received in normal mode is 0, but some correct data can be received in debug mode？ cubemx configurations are as follows：Part of the code is as follows:uint8_t pData[128] = {0x00}; HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA(&hspi1,pData,128); while(HAL_SPI_GetState(&hspi1) != HAL_SPI_STATE_READY); while(CDC_Transmit_FS(pData,128) != USBD_OK); while(CDC_Transmit_FS(TestData,1) != USBD_OK); //0xffIn normal mode, SPIDMA receives 128 bytes of data and returns it to the host computer using a usb virtual serial port (the host computer displays a column of 20 bytes). At this time, no matter how many times it is received, it is all zero, but the waveform is correct.Debug mode receives partially correct data (data format is 128 bytes of data consisting of two identical 64 bytes). The first 64 bytes received are correct, the last 64 bytes are not sure where the error occurred), and the last 0xff is used to test whether the USB is normal. The following figure (where DOUT is the slave output waveform) :I

I use comparator(COMP7) on STM32F303VB as・Non-inverting input: PC1 (ADC)・Inverted input: DAC2 output・Comparator interrupt: rising/falling edge triggerI checked the COMP7OUT bit, but it seems that this bit is "comparator output at the time the bit is checked" and not the rising or falling edge at the time of interrupt generation.Is there a way to check whether an interrupt occurred on the rising edge or on the falling edge?

Hi @RomainR. sir,As i already posted a query regarding UART DMA using STM32G030K6T6 controller, you have corrected my code it worked well. when i generated a new project and i followed the step to have provided me but it doesn't work it get stuck in error handler. Can you please explain me the process you have done. I Add new project configuration pictures. If i made a mistake please correct me sir.

I already try for send five byte data in UART DMA. I am using the controller in STM32G030K6T6. Data transmition is working properly but output is did not taken properly. The problem was am transmit data five bytes for UART_DMA but DMA transmit only two bytes data. HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA call in timer interrupt handler to check the output for just now. The output is came but this is not proper output. this method for just call in to the interrupt handler output is continuously came for five bytes data. I need a output for 500 millisec once Five Bytes data transmit.  I attach the output for picture and code. please tell what can I do for next step.#include "main.h"   TIM_HandleTypeDef htim3;   UART_HandleTypeDef huart2; DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_usart2_tx;   /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */   uint16_t tim=0;   uint8_t tx_buf[5]= {0x01,0x02,0x03,0x04,0x05};     /* USER CODE END PV */   void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); static

I am using an stm32h23zg, FreeRTOS plus TCP stack to create a TCP client.I checked, I can bind the socket to many values (tried 1, 52 and 1000, all 3 worked) but I couldn't find any recommendation on which port to use.On computers it is usually recommended to use ports over 50000 as they are specificaly made for "free use" (while the previous ones have a specific use and shouldn't be touched by a lmabda user).I looked only. no results.This guide uses port 7 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXS7HqmcWpkThis guide uses port 5000 : https://www.carminenoviello.com/2015/08/28/adding-ethernet-connectivity-stm32-nucleo/Is there any recommendation on which port number to use for a TCP connection?

I was trying to use the GPIO expension connector on the STM32MP15 Discovery Kit MB1272 and the clock wasn't working on SPI5. When I checked the CubeMX configuration against the schematic for the discovery kit, I leaned that the clock signal is going to the Arduino connector instead of the GPIO expansion. The schematic insinuates that PF7 is SPI5_SCK, when it is actually PH6. Is this a known issue?

Hello, I am experiencing a problem implementing a simple bootloader similar to the one showed by ST on youtube. I decided to use 32K of flash for the loader, while the remaining flash is available for the application. Linker file of the bootloader:MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 32K DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K RAM_D1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM_D2 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x30000000, LENGTH = 288K RAM_D3 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x38000000, LENGTH = 64K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K }And for the application:MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08008000, LENGTH = 2048K - 32K DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K RAM_D1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM_D2 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x30000000, LENGTH = 288K RAM_D3 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x38000000, LENGTH = 64K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K }The flash start address for the application is therefore 0x08008000. The ISR vector table offs

I would like to set a 1Hz signal on the PC13 (RTC_OUT_CALIB). I have found a manual in document AN3371 (see picture in appendix). The code is also in the appendix. Unfortunately, nothing happens on the PC13 but the RTC works. If anyone has any idea what else to add here, thank you, greetings, KH

I'm debugging an issue where my application is using device mode USB with CDC-ACM and when I come to transmit a data packet on a bulk IN endpoint that is either 64 or 128 bytes in length, the data is not received by the host until either a different length data packet is tx'd or a certain number of 64 byte tx is done.System details:STM32U585MCU package 1.2.0Azure RTOS and USBX (6.2.0) as per MCU package.Win 10 host pcAs far as I can tell, everything is going through the HAL/LL layers correctly:The end point config (DIEPCTL2) has a MPSIZ=0x40 (64 bytes).When it comes to transmit the data, DIEPTSIZ2 gets set with XFERSIZ=0x40, PKTCNT=1, MCNT=0 and the endpoint is enabled (within USB_EPStartXfer in the HAL).The ITTXFE interrupt is enabled so the function `PCD_WriteEmptyTxFifo` gets called as expected and `USB_WritePacket()` is called to shift the 64 bytes in to the FIFO.However, running wireshark on the PC side shows no IN data at all. If I transmit 63 bytes from the device then all is go

Hi, we have to use a secure bootloader for STM32U585.I have reading documentation about SFI and SBSFU and I am confusing.1)   Is theresomewhere a porting of SBSFU on this device?We want to use a custom secureBootloader that only check update inside external memory and flash it if securitycheck is ok.I have written all the code to do it. But I don’t know where to store my RSA KEY. I want to use both RHUK and BHK.2)   Where is the correct location to store BHK and RHUK key fir a correct security use?If I am correct from my SBSFU reading, KEYs are just stored inside Internal Secure Flash (0x0C000000) and RDP is used to limit access to Flash from DEBUG port (SWD/JTAG).3)   If yes why this key are not accessible to application? Is it because Application should not be executed in secure world?Thanks to help me
