I am trying to follow the "Getting started with X-CUBE-AI Expansion Package for Artificial Intelligence (AI)" document (User Manual UM2526), but I cannot validate the model on target.  Note that I'm using the STM32F746-DISCO instead of the recommended NUCLEO-F746ZG, but that's a minor difference.I can sucessfully validate the model on desktop (using random numbers and real data), but get an error when trying to validate on target using the "automatic compilation and download" option.CubeMX reports "Automatic build and run failed".Consulting the STM32CubeMX.log file I see the following error:2023-09-19 11:57:49,034 [ERROR] STM32CubeIDEBuilder:207 - !MESSAGE The project description file (.project) for 'mxAI1803873821400' is missing. Hi, I'm having a problem with unintentionally splitting a message I'm trying to send over the UART using DMA . I am using one function to send the message:const uint32_t max_value_of_counter_loop = 100; /* in case systick jams */volatile bool was_u1_tx_cplt = true;HAL_StatusTypeDef OwnTransmitDma(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, const uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size){/* Wait on uart to be ready, but no more than 3ms */uint32_t start_of_try_to_send = HAL_GetTick();uint32_t counter_while_loop = 0; /* in case systick jams */while((huart1.gState != HAL_UART_STATE_READY) && (!was_u1_tx_cplt)){counter_while_loop++;uint32_t now_get_tick = HAL_GetTick();if(now_get_tick > (start_of_try_to_send+2)) break; /* wait no more than 3ms */if(counter_while_loop > max_value_of_counter_loop) break; /* in case systick jams */}was_u1_tx_cplt = false;return HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(huart, pData, Size);}I call it like this:uint8_t SendInfoAboutNumberOfStepsMadeByHighPrecisionMotors(uint8_t number_of_axis){

Hi there,We use a STM32F723 controller and want to connect two external RAM devices. Now we have to select a RAM that fits to the FMC. What we can't find in the reference manual RM0431 is, if SDRAM-DDR functionality is provided or only SDRAM without DDR.Does anyone have experience with the FMC connecting SDRAM and can tell us which SDRAM (DDR or no DDR) we can use?Best regards,Corsin

Hi All,I am new on STM32 and want to use printf on UART.I could run the printf on uart in the example folder. But couldnt find how does it work, actually couldnt find any comment in it about enabling printf on uart.I am useing STM32CubeMx and want to enable printf on its projects.I have tried some suggestion like adding following function that didnt work:void __io_putchar(uint8_t ch) { /** * \brief __io_putchar - A routine to transmit a single character out the serial port * \return void * \param[in] ch - uint8_t the character to transmit * \author andreichichak * \date Oct 16, 2015 * \details This routine assumes that we will be using UART2. A timeout value of 1ms (4th parameter) * gives a retry if the transmit buffer is full when back to back characters are transmitted, * avoiding dropping characters. */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, &ch, 1, 1);}Could someone help me on this issue? I am using NUCLEO-L011K4 board.Mostafa

I use an STM32F030F4 chip. The code I wrote is quite short. But when I compile I get this error. And STM32F0 has 16 to 256 Kbytes of Flash memory. I don't understand why it is an error. Hi,Appreciate any help on how to enable u-boot splash screen during boot. I am using STM32MP157F-DK2.Thank you.

The configuration I made for the ADC via STM32CUBEIDE to NucleoG032k8 is as follows. There are 3 channels. These are as follows;rank1:PA0(2V VOLT)rank2:Channel temperature sensorrank3:Channel Vrefint What is the reason why the raw value of 2 volts fluctuates so much?

Hello everyone!I'm trying to debug a project based on the following video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXfCyE-LnR4As one of the steps, after adding the following text:#define CCRValue_BufferSize 37ALIGN_32BYTES (uint32_t DiscontinuousSineCCRValue_Buffer[CCRValue_BufferSize]) ={14999, 17603, 20128, 22498, 24640, 26488, 27988, 29093, 29770,29998, 29770, 29093, 27988, 26488, 24640, 22498, 20128, 17603,14999, 12394, 9869, 7499, 5357, 3509, 2009, 904, 227, 1, 227,904, 2009, 3509, 5357, 7499, 9869, 12394, 14999};I get the error:error: function 'ALIGN_32BYTES' is initialized like a variableI would like to know how to solve the problem.Thanks!

I would like to use the mbedTLS version 2.28.2.v2 on the secure boot for stm32h743ii controller. I have downloaded SBSFU v2.6.2 and Built the secure boot binary on top of the example project from H753 2_images_OSC folder. Secure boot is running the target hardware. But the .sfb file is not upgradable with the secure boot and it throws the FW authentication error.I suspect that the .sfb file created by windows executable exe is not using the integrated mbedTLS version 2.28.2.v2 somehow. Please suggest the next step.Regards,Rakkumuthu R

Hello,I'm working on a project where I'm using the ST25R3918 with RFAL libraries. Initially, I read the IC identity register and performed a right shift. Why did I perform this right shift?I modified the read register function, added a right shift, and successfully read the correct registers. However, my code is now not functioning correctly. What steps should I take to resolve this issue? This version maintains the same information while improving the clarity and correctness of the sentences.

Hello community,I am working on a project that involves the use of both CM7+CM4 cores from an stm32h7, to communicate both i need to use openamp. I have successfully made an standalone project that only have the openamp working, but when i port it to my actual project, it does not work/coexist with the touchgfxapp, i have found there an strange behaivour when i do initialize the MX_TouchGFX_Init before the MX_OPENAMP_Init, if i do the initialization that way, it would be "stuck" forever in the function: OPENAMP_Wait_EndPointready(&rp_endpoint);If i do initialize first the OpenAMP it works fine, until i need to communicate, being able only to send one message and receive one answer and stuck forever in the "OPENAMP_check_for_message();" function.I am going to put this functions (the initialization and also the message check) in freertos task because i have the suspect that this is due to "task/functions" priorities, and until now i have been working them outside the freert

I am using ST25DV chip as NFC RF chip, can X-NUCLEO-NFC07A1 have an external antenna? Can ANT7-T-25DV64KC have an external antenna? Is there any other can external antenna?

Hello,I want to use ST's default OpenBootloader that the virgin chips have on board. The pheripheric I wanted to use is the UART1, and on the AN2606 Application note I saw that the pins I need to use are  PA9/PA10, or to be more precise PA11/PA12 since I'm using the UFQFN20  version. In fact, in the application note is written that: "On WLCSP12, SO8N, TSSOP20, and UFQFN20 packages USART1 PA9/PA10 IOs areremapped on PA11/PA12."However these are not the usual pins that I typically use for UART on STM32C011. My firmware also uses UART1 to communicate with an external microcontroller and in that case the pins that the datasheet states I can use are:USART1_TX: PA0,PC14,PB6;USART1_RX: PA8, PC14,PB6, PB7;Why are the pins used in your bootloader not the same as the ones that should in teory be used for USART1? How can I use the same pins for bootloader and user firmware?I don't want to customize the bootloader as I want to skip the flash programming in production.Thank you in advance.

Hello, am using RFID card reader ST25R95 using its stack. I want to reduce the fixed wake up time from 300ms to 100ms. #define RFAL_ST25R95_IDLE_DEFAULT_WUPERIOD 0x24U /*!< Fixed WU Period to reach ~300ms timeout with Max Sleep = 0 */Is there any method how i can reduce it, this delay is affecting my product as the user has to hold the card until it is detected. I have also set the RFAL WUM Period period; /*!< Wake-Up Timer period ; how often measurement(s) is performed */    ==>100msin struct RFAL Wake Up Config. But it is of no use..Is there any method how I can resolve it.

Hello,I have problems with building the cdc_msc example on STM32CubeIDE. My board is STM32F411 blackpill.I have followed the instructions in https://github.com/hathach/tinyusb/discussions/633 but get errors when building.Below I will link my entire project and also a screenshot of the errors in STM32CubeIDE.I would appreciate a lot if someone could help me with this. thanks

I purchased X-NUCLEO-53L5A1 and NUCLEO-F401RE board. I assembled them and followed the Quick start guide X-NUCLEO-53L5A1 manual. I can't connect the device in the VL53L5CX. I update firmware and ST-Link before. I connected to the ST COM port via terminal. Report you can find in the attachment. Why does this happen? Thank you in advance.Jan

In this package for IDB05A2 https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/x-cube-ble1 In the file Drivers/BSP/X-NUCLEO-IDB0xA1/stm32_bluenrg_ble_dma_lp.h there are few includes :   #include "stm32f4xx_nucleo_bluenrg_dma_lp.h" #include "stm32f4xx_hal_bluenrg_gpio.h" #include "stm32f4xx_hal_bluenrg_spi.h" #include "stm32f4xx_hal_bluenrg_dma.h"  Those files aren't in the Githup repo, where to get them? Should we build them ourselves?

Hello, I'm currently working with a STM32MP157D-DK1 Development Board with 4GB DDR3L. I populated the board with a prebuild openstlinux 6.1 build like discribed in a guide in the ST wiki. When checking the total memory i unfortunatly only get 407MB that are used. root@stm32mp1:~# free --mega total used free shared buff/cache available Mem: 407 138 152 13 140 269 Swap: 0 0 0  Is there a way to use the complete 4GB of RAM? Kind regards,Markus

    Hello, according to my sketchy investigation, passive NFC tags are not required to do FCC, CE certification, because they have no battery and are activated by radio waves emitted by the reader. This conclusion was drawn by unofficial contents.     I also checked official regulations but found no definite terms that exempt passive NFC tags from these certifications.     I am not sure whether ST25DV-I2C integrated product falls into the category of passive NFC tags and needs FCC, CE, TELEC, CC, SRRC certification. The product(framed in red rectangle) can achieve read/write, NFC charging and OTA upgrade to I2C host.Is this product required to do FCC, CE, TELEC, CC, SRRC certification? Thanks!

Hello, I followed the tutorial with just one variable (extracted from an elf) there was no problem the variable showed in the chart. But when I added another variable to the code and got a new elf. I went to the variable node to add the new variable but there's none (the first variable also gone). I tried with other elf files from other projects but it doesn't work either. Thank you in advance! (I'm using the CubeMonitor in Window10)

Good day. So I am busy with my final year project, where the goal is to control the speed of a DC motor by reading the armature voltage and current, and then estimating the speed of the motor. I am using the STMCubeMonitor to provide a reference speed, and then the estimated speed is plotted vs the reference speed in the Cube Monitor. I have 1 USB port available on my laptop, therefore I tried using a USB Hub to connect my external mouse and the STM32. When I have this configuration, as soon as a reference speed is entered, the motor does as expected and increases the PWM to reach the desired speed by varyng the voltage, but then the STM disconnects and the monitor stops. I then tried unplugging my mouse, and pluging the STM32 straight into the laptop's USB port. The STM then does not disconnect anymore, but as soon as I set a reference speed, my trackpad stops working and jumps around like crazy and therefore can't enter another reference speed. I have read some issues people are havi

Hello again, I know i posted some time ago but my question is not seen anymore (link to original https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000wWDX2SAO/cubemonitor-still-not-seeing-boolean-values)I was suggested to to include "stdbool.h" but, as I'm working with a C++ project, G++ says that bool is supported and what I get in "stdbool.h" is the following (italic is greyed out code):#ifndef __cplusplus#define bool   _Bool#define true   1#define false   0#else /* __cplusplus *//* Supporting _Bool in C++ is a GCC extension. */#define _Bool   bool#if __cplusplus < 201103L/* Defining these macros in C++98 is a GCC extension. */#define bool   bool#define false   false#define true   true#endif#endif /* __cplusplus */I could manually modify the file to use "C" bool but, is there another way?Thank you!
