I'm trying to configure the Bootloader for a STM32G4A1KE processor, but in the AN2606  I cannot find any information regarding this processor (family STM32G41). Although it is listed in the introduction section of AN2606, no further information is given in the AN. Can someone point me out where I can find this information. (I am particularly interested in which UART can be used, which pins and which BOOT pattern has to be configured).

When first programming a New STM32L431KC, it does not program or run unless mass erase is performed first.I use IAR and STLINK/V2From IAR, I try:a) Download program - uC does not run, even after resetb) Start debugging session - Does not execute code. Gets stuck "hang" on HAL_Delay(xx) statement. When I use STM32MXProgrammer and ERASE all flash, then the programming works, and I can download from IAR.Any help appreciated.

I have an ADC input that is read continuously and put in a buffer by the help of DMA. This is my buffer:uint16_t adc_buf[ADC_BUF_LEN];        //ADC_BUF_LEN = 1The value in the buffer is replaced continuously by the NEW sampled value from the ADC.I want to use this value in the buffer, so how can I get out the value. I was thinking something like this:int value = add_buf[0]; and then I can use the variable "value" for stuff, like printing it to the terminal on my computer or do calculations. But how do I do this? I am not able to print the value to the serial terminal on my computer...

Is there a way to Upgrade STM32CubeIDE or Pro License for this Software?  It's very anoying e.x. when I try to debug something and the max possible breake point number is 8 or something. Is there is option to avoid this limitations or do you use another IDE? Is there any IDE supported beside IAR? ( I don't want to use IAR again:grinning_face_with_sweat: )

I am trying to identify a chip with an ST marking. It is an SOIC-14 and appears to be identified with the markings 247. There are more markings on the package, but they vary from package to package and I suspect they are some sort of manufacturing and/or date code.Based on the circuit the IC was found in I believe it's some sort of audio processor or transceiver.

As the title says I just got the stm32f429I-disc1, I was really excited but I realized I couldn't start to play with it because there is no usb cable to connect a PC to the board. Is it normal?

Hi,For the past two days I have been trying to get a usb to serial adapter to work on this board, using both the starter package or buildroot. Whatever I do, it only shows up as new full-speed USB device number XX using ehci-platform. Is there something that I am overlooking?lsusb shows the device as:Bus 001 Device 010: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 Serial (UART) ICIt is a very basic adapter, US232R from FTDI.Thanks in advance!

Hi all,The STM32WLE MCU's wireless part features two output pins, one for high power and another for low power. In the schematic diagram, both of these pins are linked to inductors: RFO_LP connects to L10, and RFO_HP connects to L9.It's worth noting that in the L9 position on the schematic, there is a 0-ohm resistor. After reviewing alternative schematic versions, such as the lowband variant, I observed that both pins are associated with inductors, but their part numbers correspond to 0-ohm resistors. Can someone clarify whether L9 should contain an inductor or a resistor, and if it's an inductor, what should its nominal value be?

Hi everyone, I am trying to generate PWM signal and change it's frequency with a potentiometer. I have connected an LED to the PWM output and it blinks only a few times and then stops. Sadly, I don't have an osciloscope to check the signal.I am using Black Pill with STM32F401CCU6 chip. Here's my code:/* USER CODE BEGIN PD */#define POT_MAX 4095#define FREQ_MIN 6 // 1000/6=167Hz#define FREQ_MAX 1000 // 1000/1000=1Hz#define CLOCK_FREQ 84000000/* USER CODE END PD *//* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ADC_HandleTypeDef hadc1;TIM_HandleTypeDef htim1;/* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_ADC1_Init(void);static void MX_TIM1_Init(void);/* Private user code ---------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */uint32_t adc_val;uint32_t freq;void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){adc_val = HAL_

In my application I have configured IWDG to start running.I would like to prevent the IWDG from resetting the MCU while in stop 1 mode for extended period of time.In the reference manual it says: "Once running, the IWDG cannot be stopped." But in the RCC section of the manual it says "The LSI RC can be switched on and off using the LSION bit in the Control/status register (RCC_CSR)." This would lead me to believe that its possible to turn off the LSI clock after the IWDG has been enabled. If I try to turn off the LSI clock before entering Stop 1 mode, the MCU ends up being reset by the IWDG.Is it true that LSI cannot be stopped ig IWDG has been engaged?

I am using STM32F103RCTx and STM32CubeIDE for developing a small application.I am tuning a vacuum pump DC motor using PWM signal with TIM1 CHANNEL_1. But I hit a small problem when I start debug the board. The motor is running from the time the IDE starts reset & downloading program to the MCU until I click at RUN to run the program. This is very annoying when I debug the program in the office. Here is the TIM1 setting. The PWM frequency is 2kHz, polarity HIGH and CH Idle state Reset. Is there any way to make the PWM Channel output certain at debug stage before I click RUN by config only the MCU without extra circuit? Just like controlling the LEDs. The LED configured as GPIO OUPUT does not turn LED ON until program running. Thanks for the help.

Hello, i am developing a firmware on EFR32 platform, most problem were solve and the st25r3917b could communicate with the EFR32 via I2C.However , something weird happened when i migrate code from a testboard to a actural board.1. The code works perfectly in STM platform, when the card put on it , it can scan it every cycle. But then i migrated the code on EFR32 platform testboard, the reader only sometime could read the card and the UID.Could you help me have a glance about what is most possibly cause the difference ?2. Although , the testboard is "semi-funcitional" , it is acceptable that i can run it on a actual integrated board. The integrated board and the EFR testboard actually is the same hardware setting(only the irq pin and I2C pin is different), but the integrate borad stuck in workerstate 2 as always, the return code always return err 4 . I am so confuse for fews day of why these two boards almost the same but one can works but another is not. Can you tell me what may cause t

Hello,Still trying to get I2S working on the H7...Opened up PulseView to check the clock between another connected device...Much to my surprise, the STM32 is actually outputting 1.027 Mhz average clock pulses instead of the ESP32's 1.024 Mhz. Checked the Clock in STM MX, shows 0% error and an input clock of 2.048 Mhz which is divisible. Tried also 20.48 Mhz with no change. There appears to be no divider settings. Any reason for this wrong output clock? There are many "Expected 16 bit word, received 17 bit" etc, with varying bits because of the wrong clock. Expected is 16 bits.

Hello, I am using the STM32MP157F-DK2 board, I also developed a carrier board in order to use external peripherals. I am using a 5V external power supply and I supply it through pin headers CN2 expansion, since I don't want to use the USB type C connector. I would like to skip the current verification in the boot process in software, maybe from the device tree or a recipe. I am using yocto to develop my custom image. If I connect first the USB-type-C and the external power supply at the same time, the boot process finishes correctly, if I disconnect the USB-Type-C after that, the operating system can run correctly with the external power supply, but the USB-type-C is needed in order to finish the boot process. Is it possible to skip that 3A verification on software? I am in the kirkstone branch, 5.15.67 kernel version.Regards, @obedPH

Hi everyone!, in my prototype  i need some low and high pulse before sending uart datas.. How can i do this? I have already tried using HAL_GPIO_Write and HAL_DELAY and it is not worked.I need an advice for it.Thanks.

Hello,I'm struggling with a really strange issue. I'm trying to make UART RX working on a STM32G4 custom board.I've followed the UART Interrupt tutorial. (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Getting_started_with_UART)I've tested it with Nucleo-G431RB and it works fine. Now I'm running the exact same code on my custom board and I have nothing, when using the debugger I can see that the interrupt is never fired. I've check hardware connections and everything seems OK.I've also tried to implement UART_Receive by polling mode => I can see in the debugger that characters are received, so Hardware is OK.Can someone help me with this issue ?Thanks

I'm using stm32f103c8 and PCA9685 devices. I'm trying to send data to PCA9685 via I2C bus. I send data using I2C_DR register. But when i write a data to I2C_DR register it sticks to it. After the data is send thee I2C_DR register should be cleared but it wont happen in my code. I have no idea why this is happening. This is what i see in logic analyzer. #include "stm32f10x.h" void I2C_Write_Single(int device_address, int mem_address, int data); void I2C_Restart(int device_address, int data); uint32_t temp = 0; int main(){ /*********STEPS FOLLOWED********* 1. Enable the I2C Clock and GPIO Clock 2. Configure I2C Pins for alternate funtion 3. Reset I2C 4. Program the peripherald input clock in I2C_CR2 Register in order to generate correct timing 5. configure the clock control register 6. Configure the rise time register 7. Program the I2C_CR1 register to enable the peripheral */ I2C1->CR1 |= (1<<15); I2C1->CR1 &=~ (1<<15); //GPIO Port B neabled R

Is L7805ABD2T-TR type A or B D2PAK? Ordering information doesnt have any designation to order Type A or B and I am not sure what type is L7805ABD2T-TR.

I am loading and running example "ADC_DMA_Transfer" on NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board but failed go through on function callMX_ADC4_Init();Step into this function, the software trapped in the ADC calibration process.if (HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc4, ADC_CALIB_OFFSET, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();} The software failed to start calibration and then tangled in Error_Handler() permanently.I searched through the early post but didn't find right solution. Any thought on this issue? Thanks.

Hi there,I have a custom board (with eMMC) that freezes in the middle of kernel loading:I am under the impression it is related with the rootfs.ext4, becuase it does not try the loading, but I am not sure yet.Flash table is the following (I don´t use all the rest of partitions):Is there any way I can debug or any way to understand what is going on?Thank you in advance.

I have a few questions about how the LPR works.First off, the RM says "Low-power run mode: This mode is achieved when the system clock frequency isreduced below 2 MHz."1. What is meant by system clock here? SYSCLK or core clock (HCLK)? As far as I can see from clock tree, you can't have SYSCLK < 4 MHz if your clock source is external crystal (HSE), so if SYSCLK is meant here, the LPRun mode is achievable only when clocking from HSI16 with /8+ prescaler.2. What would be with LPR if I exceed 2 MHz? As far as I understand, the MCU has no straight way to determine the actual clock frequency. So now even if my HCLK exceeds 2 MHz, I can successfully activate LPR in the register (and even the power consumption lowers by 10-20% which is nice, but this isn't that much the datasheet claims for actual LPR). What are the consequences? (Unstable work? The mode is actually not activated?)(STM32G0B1)

hi expertsfor me   this is the first time  to use  STM32MP1 family before i used powerpc-family CPU.with powerpc   when i  attached  external  ICs,   in 8 bit    CPU-A0 to external IC- A0in 16bit   CPU-A1 to external IC-A0 with byte enable signalsis it the same way when i use STM32 FMCin STM32MP157-EV1 and STM32MP157-DK     when 16bit and  32bit DDR accessed   CPU A0 connected DDR A0so i wonder  that  STM32's  AXI or AHB  of  CPU do some address connnection  thank you

Hi, I am designing NFC transceiver with ST25R3916B for EV charger and I have few questions regarding this.1. I saw that its transmit power is related to antenna size I can use so what is the maximum antenna size can I use? (Area I want to cover is approximately 140mm x 80 mm )2. If I am able to achieve this size, I need to keep turns ratio to 2 to achieve inductance between 1-1.5 uH(how to decide required inductance to define other parameters?), will this lower turns ration affect the performance in any way?3. Is component selection for Antenna designing and tuning related to Antenna size?4. I want to have 4-6 cm range for NFC so do I need to consider any other parameter while designing board with ST25R3916B? Thank You,Himit

I have a STM32H747I-DISCO board and i have been trying to transmit some data via UART peripheral over the virtual com port of this board (Pins PA9 & PA10) for a couple of weeks now, but every effort failed. Initially i tried to write the code from scratch but i didn't get the output. So i downloaded an example code from git hub, from the below link (which looked almost identical to the code i created from scratch).https://github.com/sh3r4zhassan/STM32H747I-DISCO_UARTAnd corrected the Pins to PA9 and PA10 in msp.c file and verified the code several times, but still no text/data was displayed in Putty and Tera Term. I also tweaked the settings like baud rate (applied the same baud rate in tera term) and tried keeping pull mode to GPIO_NOPULL and also in GPIO_PULLUP modes but still there is no output on tera term and putty. In my code in Cortex M7 main.c file, there is a toggle LED function and it works perfectly. Below image shows my UART Initialization in main.cBelow image

Is there any user guide regarding custom board creation in MC workbench 6.1.0? I can start from the X-NUCLEO-IHM05M1 board, but I have to change the HALL sensor input from TIM2 to TIM3.
