Hello! Please, help me to recover from designer crush.I open my .touchgfx file in the designer (4.22.0), and it opens fine, but with a yellow dot next to Texts tab. (I re-installed some fonts that were used by the application before). But when I press on the Texts, the Designer closes. The designer log then looks like this:2023-09-28 11:32:40,191 [23] ERROR TouchGFXDesigner.App: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.at TouchGFXDesigner.Main.Project.Texts.CalculateLineHeight.HashLanguageSetting(LanguageSetting languageSetting)at TouchGFXDesigner.Main.Project.Texts.CalculateLineHeight.Execute()at TouchGFXDesigner.Main.Project.Texts.FontLineHeightCalculator.Monitor()at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state)--- End of stack trace from previous location ---at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(Executio

Hi,I am using MKI109V3 with Unico Lite and MKI239A. Following UM1064, I need to edit the source code to add MKI239 as additional evaluation board for a combo of acclerometer and gyroscope. The UM1064, user manual of Unico Lite, suggests to find “number of data bytes coming after *start” and "setdb" from UM2116. But the relevant information for MKI239A is not included in UM2116/Table 4 "Returned values for *start command". May I kindly ask if this information could be provided? Thanks a lot! I am trying to make everything work before Christmas.  P.S. Below are two screenshot from UM1064 (Section 1 and Section 3.1), showing it is supposed to be straightforward to add new evaluation boards, as long as info is provided in UM2116 table 4...

Hello all,Maybe someone knows, why the STM32CubeIDE don,t reconize touchgfx::ScalableImage bat_img_w image? The error message is "Write occurrence of 'ScalableImage'". Of course I genererate code on TouchGFXDesigner and after in STM32CubeIDE. The Image objects ale reconized correctly but ScalableImage don't. I can't use not reconized object in MainScreenView. Below generated code from TouchGFX.   /*********************************************************************************/ /********** THIS FILE IS GENERATED BY TOUCHGFX DESIGNER, DO NOT MODIFY ***********/ /*********************************************************************************/ #ifndef MAINSCREENVIEWBASE_HPP #define MAINSCREENVIEWBASE_HPP #include <gui/common/FrontendApplication.hpp> #include <mvp/View.hpp> #include <gui/mainscreen_screen/MainScreenPresenter.hpp> #include <touchgfx/widgets/Box.hpp> #include <touchgfx/widgets/Image.hpp> #include <touchgfx/widgets/

Hi,I use in my project STM32MP153, which is a model without a GPU. My application also doesn't need any graphical representation like Wayland, X11, etc. How can I update st-image-weston.bbappend to remove these unnecessary elements?ThanksMW

Hello,I would like to implement a 64 Mbit PSRAM for the MCU F207VGT6 with a 100 pin footprint. There are 22-bit address pins and 16-bit wide data pins on required by the IS66WVE4M PSRAM.How can I configure this MCU in CubeIDE?  It is shown that Data/Adress: max 24bits. Do the data and address share pins ?  Attached is the screen shoot of this configuration.Kind regards,Neo

I am currently going through the documentation of the Board Manager. What was not clear to me is the difference between the Phase Voltage Generation settings DrivingHighAndLowSides and PoweringHighAndLowSides. It does not help that the latter doesn't have an example circuit shown like the others.

Hello,I'm working with a STM32F767, on a custom pcb and a Nucleo-144, same behavior, so it's probably not hardware / board related.Source code:Bare metal, no OSSAI to ETH, via DMAETH: zero copy Tx & Rxhttp server (TCP) works perfectPTP via UDP works perfect Debugging with UART, Wireshark, Jperf.Problem:streaming / sending TCP data from STM32 to Jperf server, 6.4 Mbit/severy now and then there's a dupack, then fast retransmission, okay...but usually after a few seconds there are lots of dupacks (>3), and after too many a retransmission occurrs with a delay of > 400 ms, killing my applicationI played with the lwIP timers and the TCP retransmission timers, that reduced the delay to these 400 ms, before that it was sometimes 1.5 s.I turned of everything in source code that might block.I changed all ETH transfers to zero copy, TX with interrupt for non-blocking PTPd.Any ideas?Edit: I uploaded the most important source code parts - the complete zero copy (mostly non-Cube/HAL) ether

I am trying to read some data by ADC using DMA transfer method I configured the ADC   attached the code belowI cannot getting the ADC value in all buffer only  read the 3rd  buffer 1st and second buffer shows grabage value please help me i tried out changing the sample value and clock prescaler My cpu speed is 14Mhz and also to the ADC is 14Mhz

Hi,when starting STM32 Cube Programmer (W64) or checking for updates I get this messageThere is "No Proxy" set in the Proxy settings and the Windows PC has internet access (browsing www works).Any ideas? Thanks,M

Hello,I am planning to use VL6180 sensor in my application which is going to communicate with STM32L071. I would like to ask a question since the specification for the AVDD mentioning about optimal value is 2.8V. Do I need to provide some special LDO for stabilization this voltage (ripple reduction, etc.) or I can supply VL6180 directly from step down converter as long as I keep +/-100mV tolerance on 2.8V output? STM32L071 should works well. Thank you in advance for your help and sorry if this question was already answered but I had difficulty to find it. Jacek

NOTE: I have edited this post after some of the replies, to fix some typos in the code and to use "insert code" instead of "Preformated" to get syntax highlighting. Hello,I would like to understand what is the recommended approach when working with interrupts and low power modes, when using the HAL.The approach I'm following right now is:Use a volatile variable to indicate if there is an interrupt. One bit for each interrupt.Using masking,  the corresponding bit is set in each interrupt callback. The callback does not perform any other action. In the main infinite loop, go to sleep if there are no interrupts. When woken up, check each bit of the flags variable to serve the pending interrupt(s).Here is a simplified code sample:const uint8_t ISR_1 = 0x01; const uint8_t ISR_2 = 0x02; const uint8_t ISR_3 = 0x04; volatile uint8_t isr_flags = 0; main (){ // Init stuff while(1){ if (isr_flags == 0){ HAL_SuspendTick(); // Is this call here ok? Could it lead to missing an inter

Hello, sorry to ask you, I am not a programming professional, but a user on a particular project. As long as everything goes well it's perfect but when I have a problem it becomes complicated for me.I'm trying to compile a code after having customized it for my needs, so I loaded the .ioc file into the IDE, everything went well, however when I run DEBUG, I get messages errors that I don't know how to interpret. My understanding is that the compiler is expecting files but not finding the correct ones. What is strange is that in theory the project is complete. If you could help me, I would be very grateful.Thanks.

Hello, I would like to ask you to know how it is that the PA5 pin in OUTPUT (non-pullup and non-pulldown) delivers a voltage of only 2.6 V instead of 3.3 V like the others? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone,I have a problem with TouchGFX, STM32CubeIDE and the STM32746G-Discovery PCB.I ran TouchGFX4.22.1 and compiled a simple example with an analog clock without any modifications. It worked well.I then launched CubeIde and created a project from the IOC file found in the TouchGFX project example I tested earlier. In the generated project, I made some modifications related to the use of SDRAM (init procedure) and QSPI (BSP init procedure).I also changed the linker script. (The changes are from an example generated by TouchGFX that I previously tested.)I then ran TouchGFX from CubeIde, selected the same analog clock example, and included the generated code in my CubeIde project ( it was done automatically). The project was compiled correctly and works, but the image on the screen is distorted, as in the photo. Can someone help me and point out where the error is?

Hello,I use STM32WLE5 on a seed studio module LORA-E5 mini where boot0 is not accessible (completely crazy ...). The module comes with a read protection and they ask us to remove RDP (level 1 to level 0) to be able to flash it with a custom program. I was able to pass RDP from 0xBB to 0xAA in hotplug mode, all was ok exept that I cannot now erase or flash anything. I can connect in normal mode at any speed, read option bytes but no flashing. Sometimes I can erase one page but it is random ?V target is 3.16Vstlink v2 firmware : V3j37S7Masse erase output : 10:15:43:555 : MASS ERASE ...  10:15:43:555 : Flash erase... 10:15:43:558 : halt ap 0  10:15:43:558 : w ap 0 reg 15 PC  (0x20000000)  10:15:43:559 : w ap 0 reg 17 MSP (0x20000500)  10:15:43:561 : w ap 0 reg 16 xPSR (0x01000000)  10:15:43:568 : w ap 0 @0x20001380 0x00000200 bytes Data 0x00000000 10:15:43:568 : w ap 0 @0x20000000 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x0000BE00 1

Hi everyone, I would like to build a self-balancing robot, and I have to use X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 and Nucleo-64 STM32F401. Can anyone help me convert this code plssss? I attach the link:https://www.instructables.com/Arduino-Self-Balancing-Robot-1/https://www.hackster.io/marketingmanagerofdattabanur/arduino-self-balancing-robot-e23f9c And the code:I have already installed the necessary libraries.

I downloaded Seeed-Studio LoRaWan-E5-Node, and all works fine till I use the MX component to set up microcontroller configuration (for example, set up LoraWAN or I2C). When I use the MX component and decide to generate code after changes to LoraWAN or I2C components, I always get many build errors. How to avoid such a situation?I work with STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.14.0. Stm32 Cube MX version 6.10.0.

I am using the Nucleo-H743ZI2 board I wanted to know, how to recover I2C after an error or a locked state which can come due to a glitch or spike on the SDA or SCL line. There is no bit I could find to reset the i2c peripheral in the control register.

I have the latest CUBEIDE installed. Created a new STM32 project and selected an STM32F407 DISCO board ... however when I go to configure the DACS it seems to indicate they are not available ??? So I cannot configure them. TIA for any clues on this.

I am use Nucleo-H563Zi test the usb host feature, I connected the USB_USER jumper to provide VBUS, and just use 2 wire usb, ignore 2 CC line. and configed in cubeide as belowThen I generat code, and I add "HAL_HCD_Start(&hhcd_USB_DRD_FS);"before while(1) then compile and debug the programbut I can not detect the flash disk plugin and no usb interrupt occure.what config is wrong for this test. Thank you.

Hi All,Here is the situation:Device: STM32G0B1CET6N - connected to PC with USB. USB CDC stack is running inside MCU.PC:Win10 Pro 64-bit, COM-port is recognized, Teraterm is running and both in and out data directions are working OK when the Teraterm is configured to the corresponding port.Problem: When the Teraterm is not configured to the corresponding port (i.e. disconnected), the MCU firmware does not receive USB_ISTR_CTR interrupt and TxState remains 1, so further transmission is stuck.Question: Is it possible to avoid this? (Monitor some endpoint status before sending data or other way?) Thanks a lot and Best Regards,Boris.

I'm using STM32H563, and just use USB_DM USB_DP for usb connect and without connect UCPD_CC1 UCPD_CC2， can it work for USB type-a connect and worked as host for msc storage. Thank you.

Hello guys. I am working with STM32G030 MCU for delay in millisecond HAL_Delay();is working fine.but I want to do a delay in microseconds so will you please guide how I can do this? I followed this tutorial but not getting desired result.https://controllerstech.com/create-1-microsecond-delay-stm32 MY MCU operates on 16MHZ

Hi Folks,Is there a simple description on how to read and write to flash using HAL for the STM32H7A3 chip somewhere?I'm looking at the example in the STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.1 FLASH_erase_program.My application needs to store ten 8-bit values so I'm not storing much. I figure I can use the last sector of the flash memory. In the Linker script I changed FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 2040K from 2048K so I can use the last 8K of flash. Question - Do I have to remove 8K blocks? Or can I remove less, like maybe 2K?In the FLASH_erase_program:#define FLASH_USER_START_ADDR (FLASH_BASE + (FLASH_SECTOR_SIZE * 4)) /* Start @ of user Flash area in Bank1 */#define FLASH_USER_END_ADDR (FLASH_BASE + FLASH_BANK_SIZE - 1) /* End @ of user Flash area in Bank1 */How do I set the Start and End Addresses? Next question - Should I make FirstSector = 127 since I only need to use the last sector of FLASH for my variables?FirstSector = GetSector(FLASH_USER_START_ADDR); /* Get the 1st sector to erase
