Hello,my goal is a bidirectional communication between two S25B3911 with active P2P mode.Currently I use two bluepill boards for the SPI connection. The final platform was not decided yet. But it is not wished to integrate a large library into the final product.The result should be a lean code.Which registers must be set with wich values to activate?Which commands must be sent?Which interrups need to be monitored?Which registers must be read for a proper timing?Does an order have to be followed for setting the registers and sending the commands?RegardsChristiane

Hello,I am a university student working for the first time with anything NFC.  I have an X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 board on a NUCLEO-L476RG, and the X-CUBE-NFC6 demo applications work fine for me.I am just getting into the RFAL, and had a question about some custom commands that are implemented on the NTP5332 from NXP (the OM2NTP5332 dev board, to be precise).The datasheet for the NTP5332 uses the custom commands WRITE_CONFIGURATION (code 0xC1) and READ_CONFIGURATION (code 0xC0) to set up the device's GPIO pins and other things, instead of the mandatory T5T commands READ SINGLE BLOCK and WRITE SINGLE BLOCK. (or their MULTIPLE block counterparts).  The datasheet section for READ CONFIGURATION is below.I am following along with NXP's application note AN11203 which goes over setting GPIOs as inputs/outputs and reading their status from the RF perspective.  I had success writing to and reading from user EEPROM using the RFAL functions rfalNfcvPollerReadSingleBlock() and rfa

Hi,I am a newbie to CubeIDE and STM32 Mcus, and have spent hours trying to make interrupt callback work on a Nucleo-STM32G070 board.First, I tried HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback for USART2, this function is not called, then I downloaded an example project TIM_TimeBase which works, but when I added the timer 3 into my test project with the same configuration as in the example project, it does not work.I must have missed something in configuration in my project. the Priority is not configurable again, the Priority is not configurable As for the Timer 3, I am a bit confused by the calculation of the prescaler in the example project, could someone clarify it to me:Actually, in system_stm32g0xx.c, it is defined as follow:uint32_t SystemCoreClock = 16000000U; RegardsChao

Curious regarding using ACI_GAP_SET_AUTHENTICATION_REQUIREMENT to change the fixed pin after already using a different pin key for a previous connection. Would that work? Any bad consequences?

Hi, I am new about dual core mcu. I have stm32h745 mcu.  I am working about inter core comminication, Firstly setting some setting on CubeMx. When I create project codes, CubeMx creat 2 openamp library for each mcu(m4/m7). After that I am trying build, and getting error like this.  Error: L6200E: Symbol OPENAMP_init_ept multiply defined (by openamp_1.o and openamp.o).  16 times geting similar error like this.  Why CubeMx create wrong library.  CubeIde working properly. (create only 1 library set)

Hello,I tried to change the board in my project from STM32G474CC to STM32G473CC. Both should be pin compatible. I've read different solutions for this in the forum but non of them work. Also the description in UM1718 chapter 11.9. When I follow the steps which are descript in this user manual I can not find the "File --> Import Project" option. I can only import from an existing project but then this project ends up in my workspace with the same mcu settings as it has in the original project. Is there an easy solution for changing pin compatible MCUs in the project?I use STM32CubeIDE version 1.5.1Best Regards,Dominic

I am developing a device that uses the ST25R95.  The end processor will be an ATTINY88 but for development purposes I am using an Arduino UNO and the X-NUCLEO development board.  I am developing the code in Arduino.  The main goal is to use the device in ISO15693 mode and read the value off of a tag.  In the future, I would like to try different protocols. I have good communication because I am able to get a good response from the Echo command and I can retrieve the IDN.However, I am not able to read the information from a tag. On boot up, I run the ECHO command to make sure I have communication, read the IDN, setup the tag protocol, then start trying to read from a tag.To set the tag protocol, I send 000202010D.Is there some way to confirm what protocol the IC is using to make sure I set it correctly?To try and read a tag, I send 000403260100.  If i don't send the first 00, I get a response of 136 which the datasheet tells me is a start of frame erro

Hi there,We are testing the ASM330LHH with the motherboard STEVAL-MKI193V1 and use Unico-GUI to collect data.  ODR was set to be 6667 Hz and easy configuration was used. The excitation was a 1kHz sin wave but the data saved using Unico-GUI showed a frequency of ~967 Hz. would really appreciate any help to trouble shoot?  Thanks

I created a custom application using the code from the BLE_THREAD_DYN example and the v10.0 FW BLE_THREAD_DYN stack. The BLE works fine but the thread stack goes down after a few minutes. The main differences between my code and the example is that I converted the code to use FreeRTOS but I preserved most of the logic and structure. Upon initial system power on, the stacks both initialize and go up just fine with the device meshing with my existing thread network. However, after a few minutes the device disconnects from the thread network and the node never reconnects but the BLE remains active. I'm troubleshooting the issue but any breadcrumbs on how to converge on the problem more quickly would be much appreciated. Update 3/3/2021 @ 1:50PMWithin the initialization of both stacks, I commented out the BLE initialization and only ran with the Thread stack active using the v10.0 BLE_THREAD_DYN firmware. The issue persisted with the Thread stack going down after a few minutes -- the amoun

Hello,LIS2DH12 accelerometer. Datasheet AN5005 shows Table 4.Is this the speed of data transfer via the SPI or I2C interface? Or the speed of converting data into accelerations and writing this accelerations to the OUTX_H and OUTX_L registers?

Hey all,I am facing problem in configuring my board in I2c protocol. When  i configured the same board in standard mode it is working fine. Rest of the settings for pins(pull-up) ,rise time and fall time are same in both the files. Also attaching waveforms for both the mode. Can anyone suggest me what can be done to make the board work in fast mode as well.Thanking you in advance.

Hello here,I tried to use SWV for debug plotting in my project.I have STM32F103TBU6 and ST-Link V2.I turn on Trace Async Sw:My clock:In main.c I defined "stdio.h" and _write func:/* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */   int _write(int file, char *ptr, int len) { int i = 0; for (i = 0; i < len; i++) { ITM_SendChar((*ptr++)); } return len; }   uint8_t count = 0;   /* USER CODE END 0 */After I made while cycle with printf:/* USER CODE END 0 */   /** * @brief The application entry point. * @retval int */ int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /*

When I configured development board's I2C I am receiving a short high pulse at 8th clock of SCL.I am attaching the waveform on scope following this post.Thanking in advance.

Dear Sirs,We use ST25R3916 for our reader and  want to adjust  output power (0x28). We use RFAL library, could you tell me how to change the antenna driver output register (0x28)with the RFAL library, which function or variable should be used for the adjustment? best regardsDai Sai

I'm testing out using an SD card on the STM32U575I-EV. The example project I'm using is from the STM32CubeU5 MCU package (Projects\STM32U575I-EV\Applications\FileX\Fx_uSD_File_Edit).I'm able to insert an SDHC (32GB; FAT32 format) card, see the green LED blink (indicating successful read/write), disconnect the card, reconnect to my Windows 10 device, and see the "STM32.TXT" file.But when I want to try changing the format of the card to exFAT, it doesn't work anymore. I tried that same SDHC and also an SDXC that I had in the office, and both had the same issue. I ran the debugger on the project for both cards, and both return FX_BOOT_ERROR after calling fx_media_open().Is exFAT supported by FileX? I did some light research but haven't found anything saying it isn't possible. If it is supported, could I get some help with figuring out why it's not working for my setup?

Hi All - Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but thought I would try anyway.I just finished a project that used Avalonia UI (C# based cross platform system for application GUIs) on a raspberry-pi 4 with a Waveshare touch screen attached.  It worked very well. :)  It now looks like I'll be starting on another project that needs a UI too but runs on an STM32 MCU based system.  Has anyone tried Avalonia UI on their system?  Did it even work?Curious if there are others who have done this before I start down this path.Thanks!

I am almost running out of limitations in my STM32L0 MCU as flash is divided into three sections.bootloader+user application+ota firmware. I have implemented a successful OTA at the moment. I am verifying the size of the OTA but I need to know if there is a quick and easy method to verify the OTA firmware before replacing the user application with it. Thank you.

I encountered a problem while desperately trying to make USB OTG_HS Host configured on a new Nucleo-U5A5ZJ-Q using CubeMX and ThreadX+USBX. I know that this board is not designed to provide USB power, but this can be overcome with undocumented SB8-10 jumpers and UCPD is not an issue here. I am also aware that at the beginning of the HAL_HCD_MspInit() function __HAL_RCC_SYSCFG_CLK_ENABLE(); line needs to be added.After several evenings of research (see here) I think I nailed down the problem to USB_HostInit() function.At the end of this function, host mode events are enabled using GINTMSK register (RM0456, section 73.14.8 OTG interrupt mask register [alternate] (OTG_GINTMSK), offset 0x18).  USBx->GINTMSK |= (USB_OTG_GINTMSK_PRTIM | USB_OTG_GINTMSK_HCIM | \ USB_OTG_GINTMSK_SOFM | USB_OTG_GINTSTS_DISCINT | \ USB_OTG_GINTMSK_PXFRM_IISOOXFRM | USB_OTG_GINTMSK_WUIM);  The problem I found and cannot explain is that after when this line is exec

HelloI'm using NUCLEO-H503 to make an I3C master, and I have some issues.1. I sent the ENTDAA command for I3C communication, but it does not go to HAL_I3C_STATE_READY.The code written after several attempts is as follows.HAL_I3C_Ctrl_DynAddrAssign(&hi3c1, &payload, I3C_RSTDAA_THEN_ENTDAA, timeout);HAL_I3C_Ctrl_SetDynAddr(&hi3c1, DynAddr);hi3c1.State = HAL_I3C_STATE_READY;Is this a normal way to use the Library?2. Please tell me how to read and write data on I3C slab.For I2C, HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit and HAL_I2C_Master_Receive were used to communicate with the slave device.Is there a function like this for I3C?The function I found is HAL_I3C_Ctrl_Transmit, but do not work in my board.Please let me know the functions you use for I3C communication and if you have a suitable example.I am sorry for my poor English.

Hi,  Can anyone help me identify the component(s)?  What kind of components these and what is the type of package (SSOP8 or TSSOP8)? Please see the the pictures. Thank you.

Dear Experts,I'm currently working on a project involving an STM32 board (B-U585I-IOT02A). I would like to use this board as a TCP Server. Therefore, from the STM32CUBEIDE application, I had observed that there is an example project in which it is possible to render this board as a TCP Server (Nx_TCP_Echo_Server). However, my problem was that it only returns the value returned by the TCP Client. So, I wanted to modify this program so as to be able to retrieve the temperature parameters. So, I created a program based on an example (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Step4_Sensors_usage). I wanted to combine these two programs to retrieve the temperature data.To sum up, the diagram is as follows:Unfortunately, I've encountered errors in the program's implementation. It gives me the following errors:The project architecture is as follows: What I've noticed is that when I access the function where the error occurs (e.g. HAL_I2C_GetState), I'm able to access the .c file,

Hello,I am working on a project that uses a STM32H7B3I-DK Board and an octospi memory MX25LM51245G. I also use the touchgfx library for the graphical interface.I encountered a hard fault issue that occurs randomly during the initialization of touchgfx. Specifically, the fault occurs in the function Texts::setLanguage(0); which is called by the function touchgfx_init();.I used the cube programmer to analyze the fault and I got the following information (See Image)Could the problem be related to the access to the texts table, which is stored in the octospi memory. I wonder if there is a problem with the configuration or the timing of the octospi interface.I also noticed that before I increased the frequency of the octospi, I had another issue where the octospi got stuck in an infinite loop in the HAL_Delay function. I don’t know if this is related to the hard fault issue or not.I have attached some screenshots of the cube programmer interface showing the hard fault addresses and the octo

Hi there,debugging serial demo for SPC582B I was hoping to observe internal LINFLEX_D1 registers for future use during application debug.An ST employee helped me setting up the launch configuration, especially setting:SVD Path: C:\SPC5Studio-6.0\openocd\svd\spc58\SPC582Bx.svd During debug, all the peripherals are shown (inside the view 'Peripheral'). In the viw 'Memory', I can see the registers listed but their runtime values seem all 0s. If I add the same register as a watch expression, the actual value is 0x8184 (and it makes sense). Could the SVD file be broken or is it something else? Thanks for the support,FP

I'm sure I'm missing something here but for the life of me I can't see it.TIM2 CH1+CH2 are in use as encoder inputs but I believe I should still be able to generate a basic PWM output on CH3 at the same time?Code is all generated by Cube IDE and it reports no problems, I'm using the LL libraries rather than the HAL, this is the generated initialisation code in tim.c:  /* TIM2 init function */ void MX_TIM2_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 0 */ /* * TIM2 is Encoder 2 + PWM output 2 */ /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 0 */ LL_TIM_InitTypeDef TIM_InitStruct = {0}; LL_TIM_OC_InitTypeDef TIM_OC_InitStruct = {0}; LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* Peripheral clock enable */ LL_APB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_TIM2); LL_IOP_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_IOP_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); LL_IOP_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_IOP_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOB); /**TIM2 GPIO Configuration PA15 ------> TIM2_CH1 PB3 ------> TIM2_CH2 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = ENC2_As_Pin; GPIO_
