Hi!I have a problem with reading data from MPU-6500 gyroscope/accelerometer (Arduino-module GY-6500/GY-9250). I am using the I2C protocol. When reading the WHO_AM_I_REG register ( with address = 0x75 ) I always get the number 0x70, although all publications say it should be 0x68. According to the document "MPU-6000 and MPU-6050 Register Map and Descriptions", Rev. 4.2: "The default value of the register is 0x68".To read the register I use the function: HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, (uint16_t)(0x68<<1), (uint16_t)0x75, i2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, (uint8_t *)res, 1, 1000). The variable "res" always returns with the number 0x70 instead of 0x68. There were attempts on STM32F091, STM32L152, STM32F722 controllers (on Nucleo boards). The pull-up resistors are 4.7k ohms. Exchange rate 100k and 400k - the result is the same. Checking the exchange observation of signals SCL, SDA by a logic analyzer shows that on the bus I2C write / read occur without errors. What am I doing wrong? Maybe Arduino-mo

Hello ST Community,I'm developing a USB CDC communication project on an STM32L476RET6 microcontroller, using STM32CubeIDE. While I can successfully receive data from a PC using PuTTY, I'm facing a challenge with transmitting data back to the PC using the CDC_Transmit_FS function.Environment:MCU: STM32L476RET6IDE: STM32CubeIDEUSB Configuration: Configured as a CDC Virtual COM PortOS: Windows 10Issue Description: Data reception from the PC works flawlessly. However, when attempting to transmit data back using CDC_Transmit_FS, the function seems to never complete. The code gets indefinitely stuck waiting for hcdc->TxState to reset to 0, which, based on my understanding, should happen via an interrupt once the transmission completes.Troubleshooting Done:Confirmed correct USB descriptor configurations.Debugged to pinpoint that the halt occurs during data transmission, specifically waiting for hcdc->TxState to reset.Questions:Are there any known issues with USB CDC on STM32L476RET6 tha

Hi,I would like to write a CAN application. The ioc assigns PA12 and PA11 as CAN Tx and CAN Rx respectively. However, when I checked the headers on board, I can not find out these pins.Am I missing something ?Thank you.

Hi,I have converted ST Link into J link by performing instructions here.Afterwards, I converted J-Link into ST Link. But, I can not use ST Link driver. I can not connect to the board via ST Link. I get this error below. Could anyone help me with this please ? I have connected the board directly to the USB port on PC, not via hub or deck.I have checked that, ST-Link Debug is seen under device manager.

Hi all,I am using SPC582B mcu.The system timer is based on PIT0 CH0 (default choice) at frequency 1kHz.In the timer IRQ handler, I need to invoke SPI spi_lld_exchange API. Problem is this API doesn't complete, remaining stuck on the whileSPC5_SPI_WAIT_FOR_TXRX_COMPLETION(spip);   SPI APIs are configured synchronous: I already activated the preemptable ISR option in the configuration: Since I don't know if the priority level is ascending or not, I tried both priority situations, that is: System timer (PIT0 CH0) priority: 4                    DSPI0 priority: 10System timer (PIT0 CH0) priority: 10                  DSPI0 priority:4  Is these some configuration flag or API to call in order to make this SPI API working? Thank you all for any help or indication,FP

Hello,We have switched from STM32g071 128kb flash to stm32g0b1rct6 with 256kb flash. We are able to flash the application binary from ST-LINK in STM32 cubeprogrammer. but, not via UART protocol. We are using the default STM32 system bootloader. We have used option bytes to force the MCU to jump to bootloader and start flashing via UART in STM32Cube programmer. But, we are not able to connect the stm32 Cube programmer tool to MCU. the command 0x7F is being sent from the Cubeprogrammer ,but there is not response from the new MCU. So, flashing sequence is not staring.I would really appreciate, if I can get some help to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

I am using STM32H753ZI for my project. My use case is I want to detect brown out reset after brownout occurs and system restarts.I am checking brownout reset flag using if (__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_BORRST). My query is this flag is shared/common between Power On Reset and Brown Out Reset i.e POR/PDR or BOR same as like in STM32F779NI?

I need to write firmware for STM32H7xx to interact with an SPI flash memory chip. (STM32 master, 8-bit, full-duplex polling, no CRC and application controlled #CS.) I am using STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0 and used the device configuration tool to produce my SPI1 configuration code using LL library calls.I encountered problems with code based upon HAL library hanging whilst reading to verify a write. So I wish to use either the Low-Level or register based programming. I have written firmware for SPI peripherals before but this STM32H7xx is a whole new level.Yes, I have read, re-read and read again the RM0468 Reference Manual. The poor English quality and lack of clear procedures do not help. It's like trying to learn a foreign language using a dictionary. I am struggling to find any good material for this family of chips. I have spent days on this and getting nowhere.Thanks.

Hello I was wondering are there any materials or examples online that describe how to enable  wifi module provided with the board? Wifi Module that I have is MB1486. Also I could not find the datasheet of the module, only the schematic. Thank you in advance.

Hi,Where can I find a documentation for the version 4 of X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB ?Regards,Fred.

I need to debug an application code which is not on the default flash address (0x8000000) but it is at 0x8008000. I just changed the flash origin address to that value. When the execution reaches the CAN initialization part, the program counter goes outside of program code (0x8000f44). Note that the code work as expected if I move the origin flash address to the default value in the linker script. Here is a minimum reproducible example: #include "main.h" CAN_HandleTypeDef hcan1; void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); static void MX_CAN1_Init(void); int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_CAN1_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ // Setup can const uint32_t filter_mask = 0x00000000; const uint32_t filter_id = 0x00000000; CAN_FilterTypeDef canfilterconfig = (CAN_FilterTypeDef) { .FilterBank = 0, .FilterActivation = CAN_FILTER_ENABLE, .FilterFIFOAssignment = CAN_FILTER_FIFO0, .FilterMaskIdHigh = (filter_mask >

Hello everyone,I'm having trouble updating the STLINK on my Nucleo F446-RE board. CubeProgrammer allows me to read the microcontroller's memory without any problem, but when I try to update the STLINK firmware, the following happens:It is detected (although it does not provide information about the current firmware or version):However, when I click on "Open in update mode", it becomes "not connected" and I cannot update the firmware. This is a problem because CubeIDE requires me to update the STLINK in order to debug. What could be failing? What am I doing wrong? I had not used the board or CubeIDE for a few months, and upon returning to work, I find that I cannot use it. Could it be something related to USB drivers?Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can provide!

HelloI would like to ask for some advice regarding a liquid crystal module that I would like to use with my ST Nucleo-F410RB prototyping board. The display type is BC1202A. It can display 12 characters in two lines and it has an 8-bit (or 4-bit) bidirectional control bus. I'm a beginner in STM32 microcontrollers and I have never interfaced any LC displays, so I wanted to ask if there's some tutorials or example codes that I could use to get started. Thanks!BC1202A LC display

Hello guys! Now a days im facing issue with ethernet configuration in the latest version of CubeMx 6.8.1.When im configuring the ethernet for my F207 nucleo board in its getting stucked into startup file. and through debugging when im pressing F5 button for manay times, then its getting out from startup file and my code starts working and getting pinged from my PC. But when im generating code from CubeMx 5.4.0 version for same configuration, its working fine. im not geeting any issues with this version.has anyone resolved this issue?

I was doing some tests on a NUCLEO-G071RB and I found out that the ADC has always some sort of offset in its digital output. I measure the tension on the MCU's pin and it's zero volts, but when I read the ADC the output is not zero. It can be 26-27 digits, 50-51 digits or 75-76 digits depending on the board that I'm testing. This happens also with an "empty" project where the ADC read is the only action that I'm doing, and I'm sure that the tension on the physical pin is zero Volts. Why I do get this behaviour? Is it normal?

Hi,When I run the below code, I get the result on serial console as in below image which is not as expected. Could you please let me know what I am missing here ?   int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ DWT->CTRL |=(1<<0); /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ SEGGER_UART_init(250000); SEGGER_SYSVIEW_Conf(); //SEGGER_SYSVIEW_Start(); uint8_t data[]= "message \r\n"; //sprintf(usr_msg,"demo of binary semaphore usage between 2 tasks\r\n"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, data,sizeof(data),HAL_MAX_DELAY);&nbs

I want to communicate with STM32f427 processor and 3 sensors via SPI. I want to use only SPI1 line. I need 3 chip select pins. There are 2 SPI1_NSS pins on the datasheet of the processor. What can I use as 3 CS pins? Is any GPIO pin suitable?

Hi all, I am successfully transferring from a memory location to the data register of USART2 Tx using DMA operation. And the USART2 has been used by the  printf()  to output to the PC. What I don't understand is, what moderates the rate at which DMA moves data from memory location to the Tx data register? Obviously, data cannot be moved to Tx data register faster than it can transmit, otherwise there would be overwrite errors. Nor should the data be moved at a much slower speed than the Tx can handle, otherwise time would be wasted. So what is the mechanism that moves the data to Tx data register at just the right rate?  I did not set any Tx transmit complete flags or ISRs to indicate to the DMA the completion of the last transmission out of the Tx data register.    Thanks in advance for your help and explanation!

Hi all, recently I made a board with H725RGV6, but when I tried to flash a test firmware for the first time, I got " Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication" from STM32CubeProgrammer (I'm using STLink V2). I measured the power supply and VCAP, VDD looks good at 3.1v, but the VCAP is only 100mv which is not correct. I also tried to remove the third 2.2uF for VCAP and connect PIN66 to PIN49, so VCAP is around 80mv.- I've checked the orientation.- I soldered the chip with a 700F heat gun and tried 3 chips in total.- Updates: I tried to supply 1.2V to VCAP, then I can connect to the chip. But why? Shouldn't the chip have internal LDO?Below is the power supply part schematic. Does any one have any suggestions?

Hello, Is the STM32L4P5G-DK Discovery Kit also compatible with other STM32L4P5xx components, not just the STM32L4P5AG? Thanks in advance,Sarvesh

Hello, I have a question regarding the evaluation parameters for decision tree results. As you can see in the picture below, the Mean Absolute Error and Root Mean Squared Error are high, but the accuracy is also high. I am confused because I thought that low error and high accuracy are supposed to go hand in hand. Can you please clarify this for me?  Kindly,Fehmi

Hey, i have ported the iperf2 example(https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH5/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-H563ZI/Applications/NetXDuo/Nx_Iperf) of the H563 board to the H573i-DK Board. It pretty much works as expected now, but the TX performance is a little bit poor. I expected >95Mbit/Sec for all tests. I got the following results (I ran each test about 10 times and took the average values). - TCP TX: 85.00 Mbits/sec- TCP RX: 93.41 Mbits/sec- UDP TX: 95.20 Mbits/sec- UDP RX: 99 Mbits/sec Executed Commands on the host system (Ubuntu22.04, iperf version 2.1.5 (3 December 2021) pthreads)- TCP TX: `iperf -s`- TCP RX: `iperf -c 192.168.1.101`- UDP TX: `iperf -s -u`- UDP RX: `iperf -c 192.168.1.101 -u -b 200M`  I'm currently trying to benchmark another setup with modified ethernet settings and got even poorer results for TCP TX.Because of that  I'm wondering whats the bottleneck here. Is it the CPU?I'd appreciate any hints or suggestions on how to fin

I was using the SystemWorkbench for years and everything OK.  Recently changed to STM32CubeIDE and also able to build and debug within hours with released ST project "STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.28.0".Have tried to use the new "STM32 VS Code Extension" in VSCode as it is getting popular.1. Followed the instructions to install "STM32CubeCLT", note : I installed in different location "C:\Tools\STM\STM32CubeCLT"2. Modified the "WINDOWS_ST_CLT_PATH" and "TOOLCHAIN_DIRECTORIES" in gcc-arm-none-eabi.cmake, and the project is built successful - OK.3. Try to "Debug" the project but it shows error message : Questions :For STM32CubeIDE, it is using OpenOCD.  For VSCode, How to configured and setup to use the Debug Tools under STM32CubeCLT ?Thanks
