Hi,I use a STM32G030. The application works fine when we compile it with option -O0 (no optimize).It fails when we using the function HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start() for the calibration of the ADC.This function returns the fail at the follow location:The calibration is started as follow:HAL_ADC_Stop(hdlr->pHadc);HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(hdlr->pHadc);Why returns this function an error only when the compiler option is greater than -O0?Now when the functions returns an error the function/ADC is locked.Is this normal or should be not there for the return __HAL_UNLOCK(hadc)?

Hi,I've faced an issue while attempting to build the project using the command line in STM32CubeIDE:./stm32cubeide --launcher.suppressErrors -nosplash -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild -data "$WORKSPACE_PATH" -build "$PROJECT_NAME"Although the build works fine when initiated directly from STM32CubeIDE, I faced the following issue:******************************************************************************************************************* Build of configuration Release for project OSV3_Logic ****make -j16 all....arm-none-eabi-gcc "../Core/Src/Test/unitTest.c" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -std=gnu11 -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32WB55xx -c -I../../Middlewares/Third_Party/coreJSON/core_json.c -I../Core/Inc -I../Core/Inc/Communication -I../Core/Inc/Utils -I../Drivers/STM32WBxx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../Drivers/STM32WBxx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy -I../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/include -I../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS_V2 -I../Middlewares/Third_Party/

Hi to everybody.I'm struggling to figure out this issue: I got a "NMI_Handler" error...uint32_t *p = (uint32_t*)0x08080000UL; uint32_t val = *p; //here jump to NMI_HandlerIf I put the addr to 0x08070000UL (e.g.) no probelm.I'm using a STM32H562RGTX with 1MB of flash. I know that a 2MB need a back swtich... But why in 1MB?How I can handle this?Thanks in advance.

Hello,I have been struggling to make this post because I wanted to post a very clear question after I had found the source of the problem. However, I have been working on this problem nightly for two weeks now and even still I can't pinpoint precisely what / where my program is going wrong. However, no matter what I seem to do, trying to get my STM32F4 to do anything useful will cause a fault anywhere between 5 seconds to 5 minutes later.Code:- https://github.com/DerekSavage1/Word-Clock-Rev-3Hardware:- STM32F411CE on custom circuit board (can provide schematics)- 24 Mhz external crystal- 32.768kHz external RTC crystalThe steps that I have taken:- Commented out sections of code until it worked. The program will only work if the while loop is empty or only declares a variable. - Converted most arrays to switch statements to avoid memory errors- Enabled all warnings with -WPedantic- Rewrote the matrix logic in a file on my computer without HAL calls and checked with all warning

First time i set up SPI, not using HAL.In the debug, i see that not a single bit is set.What am i doing wrong?  SPI_HandleTypeDef spiHandle; spiHandle.Instance = SPI2; // SPI_CR1_CPOL SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_256); // CPOL = 0 SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_POLARITY_LOW); // CPHA = 1 SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_PHASE_2EDGE); // MSB is default // We are Master SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_MODE_MASTER); // Active SPI SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_CR1_SPE); // Frame length SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR2, SPI_CR2_DS_2 | SPI_CR2_DS_1 | SPI_CR2_DS_0); // SS output SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR2, SPI_CR2_SSOE );

Hello,This is sort of related to my earlier post, and is an effort to uncomplicate things a little.  I have configured a project using X-CUBE-NFC6 on a NUCLEO-L476 and NFC08A1 board.  The demo runs fine, and can detect the different technologies.However, when I comment out the technologies in rfal_defConfig.h and rfal_features.h so that the only technologies used are RFAL_FEATURE_ISO_DEP and RFAL_SUPPORT_MODE_POLL_ACTIVE_P2P (and LISTEN), I cannot get two L476 boards with the same software to initiate a AP2P connection.When I load one of the boards with the AP2P_PROP example from the ST25 Embedded Lib examples, however, I can get both boards to communicate.  Two boards with AP2P_PROP also will communicate.  It is only the X-CUBE projects that seem to have the issue.I have spent many, many hours going through debugging both projects to see the difference, but there is none that I can tell.  Is there some analog config difference that would make this happen?

Hello,I'm trying to develop a custom external loader for STM32WL5 device, in a custom board using SPI flash memory Winbond W25Q80DV.In the past I've already developed external loaders successfully for other MCUs and boards.I again followed the steps described by official documentation, hints on this forum, examples in folder bin/ExternalLoader of CubeProgrammer: I set up a new project with CubeIDE, compiled, created .stldr file and copied it in ExternalLoader folder. If I debug the project everything is ok. Besides, opening CubeProgrammer, I correctly see my new external loader in external loader list and information provided are correct.The problem is that when I try to read from the SPI flash mapped address (set to 0x9000 0000 in this case) using CubeProgrammer, the procedure fails. Selecting Verbosity level 3, I can see these messages: 11:11:37:994 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode11:11:38:061 : ST-LINK SN : 54FF6906668549541930168711:11:38:062 : ST-LINK

Hello, I'm using STM32H750VBTWhen I'm trying to use DMA for ADC data collection I'm experiencing MCU crush. Currently I know that issue happens when DMA fill half of defined buffer.I'm using STM32CubeIDE and builded in CubeMX. To precize issue I used debug By SWD STLink. to be able run code step by step I desabled continuous conversion mode. Attaching my Cube MX  ADC settings:And DMA settings After pre configured by CubeMX initiation I'm calling conversion by HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2, (uint32_t*)testDMA, 20); And entering into while (1) loop where calling adc2 conversionHAL_ADC_Start(&hadc2);after every loop I checking testDMA[] bufferand DMA cycle by cycle fills testDMA as well up to [8], but on testDMA[9] debugger shows errors and don't able to cintinue code running (example on attached screen) I tried to change in HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2, (uint32_t*)testDMA, 20); from 20 to any another value and issue happens on half of

Hi Community,I am currently facing an issue with my STM32H7B3I-DK board. The board was working fine, but suddenly, while I was uploading the code, the LD7 LED turned on indicating a low voltage fault. However, I am confident that the USB is providing the correct voltage.In an attempt to resolve the issue, I tried upgrading the firmware and used CubeProgrammer to reset the board with a shown voltage alternating between 0.21v, 0.35v and 0v. I also tried using the STLink utility, but I keep getting the “No STM32 Target found” error, and there is a Fail File existing in the mass storage when connecting the board containing "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU".Additionally, I noticed that the WiFi LED (LD1) and the 5V Power LED (LD5) are weakly lit. I am unsure if this is related to the current issue or if it’s a separate problem.I have been searching for solutions online and tried several suggested methods, but none have worked so far. I would appreciate any help or

Hello, I new with embedded hardware. I have a bluepill (original) and STLINK-V2 debugger (a not original).And now, I want to change the my STLINK-V2 for a new one, which I can make debug, not only programming.I found the STLINK-V3MINIE. But I'm sure if can be used with bluepill, any one used this debugger with bluepill?. Any issue using it?.Thanks in advance/BlueIcaro

Hello,In this thread, I would like to clarify a point regarding how to read the RTC_CLR[ALRF] flag. I am using the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller and the STM32Cube Firmware (HAL) version 1.8.5. This flag indicates that the alarm has been activated.My intention is to determine the reason for the system reset, as I have configured two ways to exit the STANDBY mode before enabling it:1. Through the wakeup pin.2. Through the activation of the alarm.To achieve this, I am trying to read the RTC_CRL[ALRF] bit after returning from STANDBY mode and executing the functions HAL_Init(); and SystemClock_Config(); The result I obtain is somewhat curious. When the debugger is connected (Stlink V2), the flag is correctly activated after the system reset. However, when I disconnect the debugger and perform logging through UART, the bit never gets activated, even though it is the alarm that causes the system reset.I have created my own function to read the register following the instructions I´ve found o

Hi We use an STM32L452 with an external LSE (32.786 kHz) oscillator. We would like to use PC13 as a GPIO input with interrupt. In the errata sheet for the STM32L452 (ES0388 Rev9) I find the following entry:“2.2.12 PC13 signal transitions disturb LSEDescriptionThe PC13 port toggling disturbs the LSE clock.WorkaroundNone.“ What does “disturbs" mean for the LSE? What is the impact, if PC13 is used as a GPIO input with interrupt?

Last year it was in STM32CubeIDE under X-CUBE-MEMS1... now it's no longer there. The only board extensions are IKS01A3, IKS02A1 and IKS4A1. What about IKS01A2?Pietro

Discovery board is loaded/debugged via ST_LINK USB, custom board is loaded/debugged via STLINK-V3MINIE, USB to SWD.I have been through many threads regarding user vector table locations, offsets, etc but none have seemed to help. All looks good.Is there something that the ST-LINK on the Discovery board is doing during load/boot that the V3MINI isn't that could be affec

STM32F303 - Application running fine in CubeIDE debugger, custom board. It will not start as standalone, programmed with CubeIDE or CubeProgrammer with .elf or .hex.I have created an 'attach' run debug configuration, which can successfully display program execution and symbols when connected after CubeIDE starts the application.I have placed the following code in main() in order to pause execution at the top of main to hopefully attach and step through to identify the fault.However, when I attach after a cold/power reset, this is my trace, as if the system is not making it to main after cold start/no debugger.I see the following data in the flash at location 0x0000 0000 when read with CubeProgrammer:Shouldn't 0x04-0x07 contain the program start address of 0x0800 0000 + vector table size?Is the flash is read protected and I am looking at invalid data?

Hello all.  I have an ISR inside which I want to disable and enable interrupts. Reference manual says :  https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0016-stm8s-series-and-stm8af-series-8bit-microcontrollers-stmicroelectronics.pdf Disabling the interrupts#asm PUSH CC POP ISR_CC(1) SIM #endasmEnabling the interrupts#asm PUSH ISR_CC(1) POP CC #endasmI want to achieve mutual exclusion. I have tried using sim and rim and it works for now.However the above method got me confused. What do I do for POP ISR_CC ? Please suggest me exact ways. I have found this inside a blog. Is it correct?uint8_t atomic_begin(void) __naked { __asm ; Copy CC value, put in A reg for return value, and disable all interrupts. push cc pop a sim ret __endasm; } void atomic_end(const uint8_t istate) { (void)istate; __asm ; Restore CC from arg value in A reg. push a pop cc __endasm; }

Hi all,seems that there is currently no download link for STM32CubeMonPwr or am i missing something ?

Hello, Using Windows 10 with WSL 2.I have an STM32MP157D-DK1 board and am following the ST guides to get this running. I'm trying to run bitbake to build a basic distribution image, but I keep getting this error. I tried googling but can't find anything relevant. This feels like a i setup something wrong issue ... but I went over the steps I'm supposed to follow and I can't see what I missed.
