Hello,I'm trying to implement the lwip + paho mqtt (embedded version) on a nucleo-f207zg board, following this project : https://blog.naver.com/eziya76/221938551688 I have a mosquitto broker and wireshark on a windows computer.Mosquitto started with command :mosquitto -v -c broker.cfgbroker.cfg file content :listener 1883 allow_anonymous trueWindows IP : 192.168.1.105STM32 IP : 192.168.1.200Both IP are static. The ETH link is ok, I can ping the STM32. I'm blocked since a few day on the connection to the MQTT broker.ConnectNetwork() works, but MQTTConnect() don't.The STM32 send the request, mosquitto receive it and CONNACK but the STM32 don't received it and abort the connection.I think I have localized the issue, but I can't resolve it with my limited knowledge in network programming.MqttConnectBroker() => MQTTConnect() => MQTTConnectWithResults() This function make the following call to waitfor() : ret = waitfor(c, CONNACK, &connect_timer); if

Hi,I am starting a new post for visibility, hopefully someone can point me towards the right direction. The setup:MCU: STM32H725HyperRAM: W957A8MFYA5I, /CK is groundedOCTOSPI1 is used, its reference clock is 200MHz, so with the Clock Prescaler I am using, I am running this interface on 100MHz. I have measured the clock, and is indeed 100MHz, and its shape is as nice as it gets (I measured it with a GHz scope using a differential probe).Configuration in STMCubeIDE:The issue: I followed section "IV. HyperFlash and HyperRAM memories with Multiplexed mode example" in AN5050, without the HyperFlash part of course, but when I am running the DelayBlock_Calibration() function, I run into a fault, as soon as the "mem_addr" points to a specific memory location. Depending on how I configure the OCTOSPI1 interface, this address is either 0x90000000 or 0x90000008. With the configuration above, I get the error when I reach 0x90000008.I have also tried to create an area in the memory using MPU to allo

Hello,i need help how to share I2C in DMA mode between two FreeRTOS tasks.I have two tasks:Task 1:  osMutexAcquire(I2C1_MutexHandle, HAL_MAX_DELAY); Task_Notification_I2C1 = WM8731; configASSERT(xTaskToNotifyI2C1_WM8731 == NULL ); xTaskToNotifyI2C1_WM8731 = xTaskGetCurrentTaskHandle(); Status = HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit_DMA(&hi2c1, (uint16_t)WM8731_I2C_ADDRESS, data, 2); ulNotificationValue = ulTaskNotifyTake(pdFALSE, HAL_MAX_DELAY); if(ulNotificationValue) osMutexRelease(I2C1_MutexHandle); else DEBUGOUT("WM8731_Set_Register I2C timeout...\r\n");   Task 2:  osMutexAcquire(I2C1_MutexHandle, HAL_MAX_DELAY); Task_Notification_I2C1 = FT5426; configASSERT(xTaskToNotifyI2C1_FT5426 == NULL ); xTaskToNotifyI2C1_FT5426 = xTaskGetCurrentTaskHandle(); Status = HAL_I2C_Master_Receive_DMA(&hi2c1, (uint16_t)FT5426_I2C_ADDRESS, data, 64); ulNotificationValue = ulTaskNotifyTake(pdFALSE, HAL_MAX_DELAY); if(ulNotificationValue) osMutexRelease(I2C1_MutexHandl

Hello all, I am working with a NUCLEO-STM32H7S3L8 board, but I am unable to connect to it using STM32CubeProgrammer or flash firmware using STM32CubeIDE. However, I am still able to update the board’s firmware successfully.Possible Cause:I suspect that I might have pressed the reset button while flashing firmware to the device, which could have caused the issue.Issue:Unable to connect to the board via STM32CubeProgrammerUnable to flash firmware in STM32CubeIDEI cannot perform a hard reset because it requires a connection in STM32CubeProgrammerQuestion:What steps can I take to recover my board and regain access?Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!!

I'm using a STM32L051C8T6 in a custom board. The software function is to enter stop mode to reduce the current consumption and only wake the MCU up with GPIO EXTI, RTC wakeup timer and UART wake up. The device is entering the low power mode and exiting successfully, but I'm facing issues with my UART after waking up. My UART is configured to use DMA on Rx and Tx, but now I'm only using the DMA on Tx, for testing purpose. My problem is that after waking up via UART, I want to keep the microcontroller awaken attending to configuration commands, until receive a configuration ending command. However, the MCU wakes with the USART config command, but it's unable to trigger the UART RxEventCallback via DMA. I think, maybe the MCU just need an specific configuration after waking up to make the UART Rx callback via DMA work well. See the code below:Part 1 of the code:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration---------------------

Hi.I am using TouchGFX and it works fine,My MCU is STM32H743 But when I use the SDRAM for other things the code does not work.My question is:Can I use struct in the  SDRAM.? I have this one in my c file.  SD_CARD SdCard __attribute__((section("\"SDCardSection\""))) __attribute__((aligned(4)));  In my h file as follows:   typedef struct { char Name[256]; char Path[1000]; char File[2000]; uint8_t LogicalDrive; }SD_CARD; extern SD_CARD SdCard __attribute__((section("\"SDCardSection\""))) __attribute__((aligned(4)));   My Linker file is as follows:  /* Entry Point */ ENTRY(Reset_Handler) /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = ORIGIN(RAM_D1) + LENGTH(RAM_D1); /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x400; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of stack */ /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (

I want to ask about AEK-MCU-SPC5LNK. Is the support applied for processors SPC56? I have AEK-MCU-SPC5LNK and SPC56EL70L5DISP board and I can't find cfg files for SPC56EL processor.Lukasz

Hello, First off, I'd like to preface that I'm still quite new to the STM32 environment as a whole, and being a student my experience in embedded systems is quite limited, so please feel free to correct me. I'm currently working on a Nucleo-F446RE board and wish to implement a real-time (using CMSIS-RTOS) anomaly detection method using the following, simulated (random numbers essentially, generated via a Python code, data separated by tabulations) time series data : Abnormal temperature data (randomly generated)Normal dataAfter which I benchmarked different models on NanoEdge, and selected the suggested model. Following the documentation in order to implement said detection model under STM32CubeIDE, I chose to use the knowledge used while benchmarking the different models, as I don't have a way to get real data yet : Model initialization with knowledge No errors up till here. In order to correctly determine whether my model is functionnal or not, I chose t

I've been doing some BLE development using STM32WB55RG mounted on Nucleo-68 board. Our end product is very space constrained & doesn't need all the headers, switches etc that the board provides. So I took a loser look at what we could save space by removing & immediately noticed that there is a STM32F130CBT6 on the board. I take it this is dealing with the ST-Link?I am relatively new to the STM32 eco-system so am aware that this my be a dumb question but, is it possible to still use ST-link without this & just use the STM32WB55 with ST-Link?

Hello everyone,Now I'm developing an user application compatible with SBSFU on STM32CubeIDE.SBSFU itself is pretty nice, but I feel the development architecture and environment are a little bit old, like not supporting CubeMX.Fortunatelly, I succeeded to work my user application, that is developed on Visual Studio Code (with CubeMX and STM32 VSCode Extension), with SBSFU.However, it's hard challenge for me to more update like below, because I'm beginenr for embedded system.call some functions located in SE interface region from the user application developped with the above environmentchange the communication protocol from YMODEM to other ones in SBSFU (this SBSFU means the STM32 project of bootloader, not whole package)I appreciate if the official update of SBSFU will be coming to support the moden development environment kinds of CubeMX and Visual Studio Code. Within a few years ago, there're several users who has similar requirements of this matter. Solved: X-Cube-SbSfu -

Hello, I am currently developing with SPC5Studio 6.0.0.In my project, I need the HighTec Pro option, so I downloaded the license and tool chain files from http://register.hightec-rt.com/st/spc5x.I placed the license file in both:- C:\SPC5Studio-6.0\licenses- C:\HIGHTEC\licensesHowever, it still says that no valid license can be found. How can I resolve this issue?Best regards.

Hi there,I have a new custom PCB with STM32H735IGT6 with Infineon HyperRAM S70KL1283 connected to OCTOSPI2.This RAM device does not use HYPERBUS but xSPI (Octal) interface. It seems to be using a combination of HYPERBUS and regular command SPI mode as protocol. As far as I understand the supported frame formats in the STM32H735 our RAM device is not supported by the OCTOSPI interface. Is that correct? As a solution we have to take the HYPERBUS variant (S70KL1282) of the RAM device. Can anybody confirm my thoughts? Many thanks!

Hi  I have the cube monitor plugged in , and running the cube monitor power application. I had it working on my old computer (Windows 10) , but had to install the USB driver of ST web site. Since moving to my new computer, I cant find the driver again. Anyone point me to where it will be? My new computer is WIndows 10 too, and installing the cube monitor power application doesnt install the driver Many thanksScott

STM32WB55RG not showing when using STM BLE Toolbox. In fact NO Bluetooth devices are showing at all. When I use the LightBlue app or scan using the Bleak Python library on my laptop, all discoverable devices are showing, including the STM32WB55RG with all its correct advertising data.

Hello Guys,  currently, im trying to get the VL53L0X to work with my MSP430 Controller but my biggest problem is the communication with the Device. Ive copied the Software from Artful Bytes and changed it to match my board. Here is the Link: https://www.artfulbytes.com/mcu-i2c-driver   Ive tried to write a simple byte to the Sensor but all it does is pulling SCL and SDA down right after transmitting the last digit (write). It doesnt even give an ACK and it willbe pulled down until i cut the power supply. Writing Byte Ive also tried to read a byte from the Sensor and strangly it seems work. All i did was to write a simple code to read right from the VL53L0x. There was no init for the Sensor but it didnt pull the line down. Reading Byte I need help with my Sensor. Do i have to write some data to an other Slave-address before writing to 0x29?    Sincerely EddyK

I would like to turn off the backlight if the LCD module of STM32H747I_DISCO board. I figured out that the PJ12 (LCD_BL_CTRL, PORT = J PIN = 12) probably controls the backlight of the LCD module (from schematics). The "PJ12" is initialized in "main.MX_GPIO_Init()" and it is set to output to level low (GPIO_PIN_RESET) during POR.  I tried to set PJ12 to high and low with the follow HAL call:     void Screen1View::handleTickEvent() { if (++tickCount >= ScreenUpdateCount) { tickCount = 0; updateScreen(); if (++lcdBackLightCount >= TurnOffLcdBacklightCount) { lcdBackLightCount = 0; // Turn off LCD HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOJ, LCD_BL_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOJ, LCD_BL_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); } } }       but it did nothing. Backlight of the LCD stays always on. The test app is based on TouchGFX. Any idea? Thanks, Louis

Dear All, The IPMlnmx decoder on the STEVAL-IPM30B board—what is its function?I cannot find any relevant documentation about it.Does anyone know?  Best Regards,

Hello,I'm facing a very annoying issue in CubeIDE.Board: Nucleo-F412ZH.The project uses TIM1 Channel4 to genrate a Stream of PWM pulses to drive a WS2812B LED strip using DMA.It also uses TIM9 to generate the systick. With this configuration, the MCU goes to HardFault in HAL_Init -> HAL_InitTick.The HardFault is triggered when the SysTicvk interrupt is enabled.Digging in the code, I found that the guilty code is in the shared interrupt handler. This handler is invoked by the SysTick interrupt but, due to the interrupt sharing with TIM1 Break interrupt, the handler call HAL_TIM_IRQHandler for TIM1.Digging deeper, I found that the code calls a non existing CallBack function (NULL pointer). At this point of the program, TIM1 is not yet initialized, it will be initialized later in the main function. Here after are the the guilty parts of the generated code.If I remove the line HAL_TIM_IRQHandler(&htim1); all run fine. This issue is not exclusive to the TIM1/TIM9 pairing, it occurs for any

hi,I am trying to build my own STLDR file with STM32H723ZGT6 + w25q128.I could able to build the stldr file STLDR creation with Separate Project 1 but it's not working with external loader  project 2 it's giving down load error while program download  .Note : i could able work with external loader Project 2 by using https://github.com/cturvey/stm32extldr/tree/main/h7_w25q128  not by my made STLDR file.I have referred some existing STLDR creation project with STM32H7B0 + w25q128 found they used  void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; /*AXI clock gating */ RCC->CKGAENR = 0xFFFFFFFF;  why they have (RCC -> CKGAENR = 0xFFFFFFFF )gating the AXI clock ?. STM32H7B0 reference manual:https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0455-stm32h7a37b3-and-stm32h7b0-value-line-advanced-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf STM32H723 reference

hello,I Have linked the Touch GFX folder from another project and the code got compiled while running and  Debug I am getting this error.

Hello there! I am new to STM32, I have an STM32F746G_DISCO, I have a project where I have to control the frequencies and duty cycles of a machine, that's kind of besides the point, I have set up all the screens I need and I have to make it so that that every value I set (ie: frequencies and duty cycles) to be kept in the memory and not only the screen values should be the same, I also need to have the counters I use on the code (which I will use to determine the signals to control the values, I will make a more detailed post to ask how I will do this)Basically I need these values stay the same even after a screen change, can anyone help me with this?

how to use the 'button is clicked' to show or hide the image ? who can provide the sample program to be reference .

I used CubeMX 6.12 to generate code and DAC output works as intended.I cloned that project, migrated to CubeMX 6.13 and generated code. DAC output doesn't work. Migration to 6.13 also used FW H5 1.4 instead of 1.3.Comparing stm32h5xx_hal_msp.c I see the 6.13 generated code lacksRCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0}; if(hdac->Instance==DAC1) { /* USER CODE BEGIN DAC1_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END DAC1_MspInit 0 */ /** Initializes the peripherals clock */ PeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_DAC; if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } }in HAL_DAC_MspInit(). When I add the above code to stm32h5xx_hal_msp.c in the migrated project, DAC output works as expected. No significant differences between the IOC files. Is there a problem with CubeMX 6.13?Attaching STM32H563VIT6_2.ioc (original, CubeMX 6.12, DAC works) and NGC_HW_Verification_Clone.ioc (cloned, CubeMX 6.13, DAC does
