I have recently ordered my custom board from JLCPCB with STM32F070F6P6. When the board arrived to me, I tried to connect the CPU to ST-LINK V2, but it would not connect. I have checked all the connections on the board and everything seems to be good. I have also checked the voltage with an oscilloscope, and again it seems to be good - the voltage is stable 3.3V. I have completely no idea why it can not connect to ST-LINK. I am attaching below the picture of the schematic of my board. I am connecting SWDIO (PA13) and SWCLK (PA14) via J2 01 and 02 pins. The power comes from ST-LINK (3.3V from the voltage regulator). I tried with and without RESET and nothing changed. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,We want use sixpack SiC Power MOSFET module for drive a low power hi voltage motor.For safety reson I want measure the phase currents with 3 shunts connected beetween low side source and negative, instead one. With this package aren't avalable the power low side sources pin, but only signal low side sources (S2 pin 22, S4 pin 26 and S6 pin 30).Are there some issue, other than noise and voltage drop, like low section wire bonding, about use signal low side sources for connect the shunts leaving negative (pin 1-2) disconnected?Thancks

Any step-by-step guide on how to configure STM32CubeIDE to redirect `printf()` output to a virtual COM port using UART (serial communication), and then monitor that output using the STM32CubeIDE’s built-in Terminal view?  I'm using a Nucleo-F411Re on Windows 10 machine.

Hi Mike, Thanks again for your previous support on the SPI interface.I have since moved to using the SDMMC interface instead of SPI for better performance, but I am still facing issues.   Current Issue Summary:I can successfully mount the 32GB SDHC FAT32 card and read the capacity using FatFs. However, f_write always fails. After debugging, I found that BSP_SD_WriteBlocks fails when writing to LBA 32768. I also verified this with direct HAL_SD_WriteBlocks, which fails at LBA 32768 but works on lower LBAs like 0 or 1. This suggests the problem is not in FatFs logic, but rather in high LBA (large address) block access stability.   My Questions:Is this a known limitation with STM32H7 SDMMC or HAL drivers when writing to higher LBA regions on large-capacity SD cards (like 32GB)? What is the commonly tested and verified capacity for STM32H7 SDMMC + FatFs reference designs? Do most STM32 applications use 4GB / 8GB / 16GB cards, or is 32GB commonly used and verified? Any additiona

 I am measuring the phase current signal, in between i see sudden spikes and the motor halts. I am testing at 60V battery input. It is hall based system and FOC.  It is a custom board and i have not configured the motor pilot, 2 questions if you can answer it will be helpfula. If  i am reading the phase currents at the middle of the low side pwm then it shall be consistently reading the same value but why suddenly it reads invalid value i do not understand i mean the spike.b. If it is low inductance value should i mandatorily switch at 20KHz at present i am doing at 15KHz. What best i can do to identify the root cause.Please advise based on the inputs i can move forward.

Hello everyoneI am a begineer with stm32 MCUs. I studied through  youtube videos and datasheets that we can program STM32H750 using STlink V3 and to do so the MCU should be put into bootloader first. To do so the boot pin must be pulled low for which dev boards have a button that we can press at power up or reset.I don't want to use the button in my custom hardware design. I want the boot pin to be pulled low by the programmer (ST link v3) or atleast be piulled low automatically. I want to use tag connectors to programe my boards.How can I automatically put STM32H750 into flash mode (boot pin pulled down) when STlink is connected.Thanks for your help.

Hello,I'm a developper from the CEA using STM32H573 and I am characterizing the chip boot time in various configurations. With STiRot activated (250 MHz and a 128 Kb image) I found 31 ms which is twice as much as the boot time indicated in the documentation (16 ms ; AN6007 - Table 5. Boot time performance).I would like to know how the STiRoT boot time values from the documentation were obtained, to see if I am missing something here.Thank you in advance,Best regards

Hi all,I am new to development with STM32, and I want to connect an external RFID card reader to my STM32WL5MOC, which is on the B-WL5M-SUBG1 board. I tried looking for tutorials on how to do this but nothing useful came up.The user manual (UM3127, https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um3127-stm32wl5moc-connectivity-expansion-board-stmicroelectronics.pdf), in Section 7.6, outlines which solder bridges should be ON/OFF to configure the board between SPI and UART. Upon inspecting the solder bridges on my board (default configuration), I noticed that it is configured for SPI.My understanding is that even if I connect my RFID card reader to the correct pins of the board, I still will not be able to establish a UART connection because there is physically not an electrical connection. Is this correct?Should I un-solder the solder bridges that are configured for SPI and solder them in the right place for UART? Is there any other way to do it without altering the electrical connection of

Hi,We are working on a product based on STM32MP157A MPU, As we thinking to update the kernel and QT version, we are looking for next OpenSTLinux 6.0 which supports scarthgap yocto and QT 6.5 LTS. When do we expect this release from ST?Also, What will be the LTS period of krikstone, mickledore and scarthgap?

Hello everyone.I'm currently building a controller for this energy measurement chip.So far, I've built my controller and can perform a remote reset and read data, but when I want to configure a register, I send my desired configuration, but when I read it, it remains at zero.I've already reviewed and applied all the suggestions in the application note. I'm using "SPI" (some type) to send the data. The chip is powered at 3.3V, a 4.194MHz crystal, and the signals are configured according to the AN3254 application note.My configuration sequence is:- Remote reset.- Wait for 120ms.- Send the RD register at 1 to retrieve the temporary shadow registers.- Send my desired configuration.- Read all registers.I don't know why I'm not seeing the configurations reflected in the registers.Attached are screenshots of RRR signals, readings and writings.

  Hi everyone, I'm currently working with the STM32N6570-DK and facing challenges in two areas that I’d really appreciate help with: 1. Custom AI Model Deployment (ONNX) We’re experimenting with deploying a small, simple object detection model converted from an ONNX file for testing purposes on the STM32N6570-DK. I’ve managed to get the model analyzed and validated through STM32 tools (X-CUBE-AI), which generated the typical files like network.c, network.h, and low-level AIfiles such as activation buffers, weights, etc. Here’s what I’d like guidance on: How to integrate the generated AI files into a full working project How to feed live camera data into the model How to display the model output (e.g., bounding boxes or classification results) on the onboard RGB565 display We understand that both camera input and display output are necessary for the AI model to be functional in real-time, and we’re struggling to find STM32N6-specific examples covering this pipeline (camera

Hi,I want to create a reflectometer to measure samples targets reflectivity in %. The samples are 10x15cm and the distance will be fixed: samples can be between 15cm to 1m. The measurement will happen in the dark in a controlled environment.I found the ST reflectometer demo page so I thought it may be viable to use a VL53 ToF sensor. However, there is not much technical explanations : https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img018.htmlSo, I am currently investigating the idea of using a VL53 sensor. My first question is : is it a good idea ? If any, what would be the best VL53xx device for this purpose. If it is not a good idea do you have any suggestion or something to look for ?I think reflectivity should be proportional to the signal rate in kcps multiplied by the number of active SPADs. I guess I can ignore the distance because it is fixed.I have a VL53L1 and a board, so I made a basic test with reference materials placed at 20cm in a closed box. But for some reason the signal

Moved from Feedback forum - the Feedback forum is not for product questions. Hello, I have a problem with using TouchGfx, if I create a project with an STM32F429 without adding any code the compilation is ok, if I activate TouchGFX (Graphic application checked) I have compilation errors (see attachment) I don't know how to do it, I would like to start with TouchGFX with this project Best regards Sébastien

Hi,I would like to use LPUART3 to proceed the UART communication with hardware control flow enable.However, I found that when the Send_UART_DATA  there indeed has TX signal from LA, but CTS/RTS hasn't changed, only when system reset, those two pins just could get the status changed.Here is the configuration of MX_LPUART3_UART_Init()static void MX_LPUART3_UART_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART3_Init 0 */ // Enable LPUART3 clock __HAL_RCC_LPUART3_CLK_ENABLE(); //Enable GPIOB clock __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); /* USER CODE END LPUART3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART3_Init 1 */ // Enable NVIC interrupt for LPUART3 HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(LPUART3_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(LPUART3_IRQn); GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /*Configure LPUART pins : UART communication */ // RTS/CTS pins GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_4 | GPIO_PIN_5; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_

Hello, I have two expansion boards: X-NUCLEO-53L8A1 with VL53L8 and X-NUCLEO-53L7A1 with VL53L7CX. I used a gesture recognition example project for NUCLEO-F401RE board I found on this page: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img035.html?icmp=tt26851_gl_lnkon_may2022#get-software The example project works fine for X-NUCLEO-53L8A1. However, when I tried to use X-NUCLEO-53L7A1, which is stated to be compatible in the manual, the vl53lmz_init function gets the "VL53LMZ_STATUS_UNKNOWN_DEVICE" error code (4) and exits here:     /* method below copied from vl52l5cx_is_alive() */ status |= WrByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0x7fff, 0x00); status |= RdByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0, &(p_dev->device_id)); status |= RdByte(&(p_dev->platform), 1, &(p_dev->revision_id)); status |= WrByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0x7fff, 0x02); if((p_dev->device_id!=(uint8_t)0xF0) || ((p_dev->revision_id!=(uint8_t)REVISION_CUT11) && (p_dev->revisi

I am exploring STM image sensors for a new project and am evaluating different options. To make an informed decision, I would like to refer to EMVA1288 datasheets, especially for details on read noise and dark current performance. Could you please let me know if such datasheets are available for STM image sensors, or how I might obtain this information?For reference, the EMVA1288 standard is freely available, and here is an example of a datasheet template:https://www.emva.org/wp-content/uploads/EMVA1288-3.1_datasheet_template.pdf

 Hello,I’m working on a project based on the x-cube-n6-ai-h264-usb-uvc-v1.0.0 example, which originally used the network.c file generated by STedgeAI 2.0. However, I can now only download STedgeAI 2.1, and the code generated by both versions is not compatible. I’ve tried updating the network.c generated by STedgeAI 2.1 into my project, but I’m encountering the following errors during compilation: Description Resource Path Location Type cannot find -lNetworkRuntime1000_CM55_GCC: No such file or directory x-cube-n6-ai-h264-usb-uvc C/C++ Problem Description Resource Path Location Type make: *** [makefile:97: x-cube-n6-ai-h264-usb-uvc.elf] Error 1 x-cube-n6-ai-h264-usb-uvc C/C++ Problem I’ve tried updating the libraries and replacing the network.c file, but the issue persists. Hiiii!I installed NanoEdge AI Studio. try to upload some test data for training. As shown below, sanity check is not taking progress. I am not sure if is related to connection issue. I do encounter following issue as well My license is activated successfully.  Really new to NEAI. Looking for help~~~

I am verifying USB implementation using Nucleo-H7S3L8.When I executed CDC_Standalone in STM32CubeH7RS using the Debug button and ran the Appli code, the function “HAL_PWREx_EnableUSBVoltageDetector()” in ‘MX_USBPD_Init()’ did not return HAL_OK and an error occurred.Within this function, the “USB regulator ready flag (PWR_CSR2_USB33RDY)” is not set, causing a timeout and resulting in a HAL_ERROR.However, when I stop debugging, disconnect the USB cable, and reconnect it, the COM port appears in the Windows Device Manager.I have not made any changes to the contents of CDC_Standalone.The jumper on JP3 on the board has been changed from STLINK to UCPD.What should I do to properly debug USB on this board?

I'm getting bad overshoot and undershoot spikes on an SD card interface. The spikes are so bad that 1/300 large (2MB) file writes fails, and it's damaging the SD cards so that a card that has been subjected to these spikes will continue to fail after it is moved to a good board. I can knock down the spikes by adding a 33-51 ohm series resistors to the data, clk and cmd lines. With 51 ohms I have done over 50,000 large file writes without errors as long as I use a virgin SD card that hasn't been subjected to the spikes.The boards have traces equalized for length, and one version uses 8 mil wide traces, the other uses 12 mils. Both have overshoots. One of my boards has long 4.5" traces to the card. But I'm also seeing spikes on a shorter version with only 3.2" traces to the card. There are lots of example SDIO schematics online but only 1/10 show series resistors. Application note AN5200 on SDMMC does not mention resistors.When I watch the data lines on a scope, an initial burst of

Hi, I am testing the SATEL VL53L7CX board, but the SDA on this board is stuck at zero. I have checked that there are no short cuts and that the pull up is there. Any ideas how to solve this?
