Hi,We’re using an STM32U5G9 with a MIPI DSI panel (driven by the LTDC through the DSI host). The panel is 800×600 and scans in landscape, but it’s mounted rotated, so the user sees a 600×800 portrait image. The panel controller can’t swap its scan direction; the manufacturer confirmed that only X/Y flips are supported.Current pipeline: JPEG frames arrive over the network. The hardware JPEG codec decodes them in bands of about 32 lines, and DMA2D converts each band (YCbCr → RGB888) straight into a single framebuffer that the LTDC scans. There’s no double buffering, because of RAM: the framebuffer alone is about 1.4 MB. Today the server sends frames already rotated to panel orientation.Goal: a framebuffer in the logical (portrait, 600×800) orientation. We could then implement scrolling by remapping lines with the GFXMMU (a ring buffer), and only decode the newly exposed lines.Questions:Can the LTDC or the GFXMMU present a 90°-rotated view of a framebuffer to the panel, without any interm

Section 2.5 of UM3656 says "For a complete description of the library capabilities, refer to the vl53l9-transform-c documentation." The X-CUBE-53L9A1 v1.0.0 package ships Documentation/ media-object/transform-c.chm and media-c.chm, but those document the generic transform framework they do not contain any mention of VL53L9, binning or resolution.In vl53l9-transform-c, _retrieve_output_size() accepts only raw frame sizes 14842 (54x42) and 3844 (24x20); the stream capability tables likewise list only those two resolutions. Calling the pipeline at other binnings is rejected, so 18x14, 12x10, 8x6 and 4x4 produce raw data with no calibrated depth. The underlying algorithms appear resolution-generic — vl53l9_algo_extract() takes frame width/height, crop offsets and binning as parameters, the calibration offset map is bicubic-resized to arbitrary width/height, and the radial-to-perpendicular map is computed per width/height/binning.Questions:Is support for the other binnings planned, or delibe

As i was going through the tutorialhttps://dev.st.com/edge-ai-docs/general/latest/en/docs/tutorials/how-to-deploy-ai-model-stm32n6-neural-art.htmli have faced issues in the linker script. The tutorial’s linker-script example places model data in EXTFLASH using the *_atonbuf.xSPI2*(.rodata*) pattern. In my generated project, however, the model weights are emitted in Application/User/AI/network.o as .rodata._ec_blob_network_* sections. Those sections didn’t match the example’s pattern, so the general .rodata* rule placed them in ROM instead. This caused .rodata to extend past the ROM boundary at 0x70180000 and overlap .AI_XSPI2. Adding *(.rodata._ec_blob_network*) to the .AI_XSPI2 section moved the model blobs into EXTFLASH and fixed the link. Please consider updating the tutorial to mention that generated model-section names can differ, and show how to check the linker map and route the generated model blob sections to EXTFLASH.the solution for me was to update the linker script with this.

Main goal is to measure the RMS value of the mains, first question is can i perform the calculations using floating point or fixed point? The RMS requires the sqrtf function, can i use the function due to its number of cycles?

I am evaluating the LDQ40PUR (adjustable version) and there is some ambiguity in the datasheet for setting the output voltage. The datasheet states:The resistor divider should be selected as follows: VOUT = (1+R1/R2)*VADJ, considering IADJ negligible. What is VADJ? Should this be VREF (1.2V)? I assumed VADJ = VREF = 1.2V, and calculated my output with the following values:R1 = 340kOhmR2 = 102kOhmVOUT = (1+340k/102k)*1.2V = 5V However, when I built the circuit with these values, I am not getting this value at the VOUT pin. When VIN is 3.6V or higher, I get VOUT = VIN (e.g. VIN=7V, VOUT=7V) Here is the schematic for my circuit:Schematic for LDQ40PUR test circuit

Board: NUCLEO-WL33 Toolchain: CMake + arm-none-eabi-gcc CubeMX version: 6.17.0 STM32CubeIDE version: 2.1.1I am trying to run a basic STM32WL33 project generated by STM32CubeMX using the CMake toolchain instead of the native STM32CubeIDE project format. The same CubeMX configuration, when generated as a native STM32CubeIDE project, works correctly and reaches HAL_Init() in main.c without any issue. However, when using the CMake-based output, the firmware crashes during startup andnever reaches main().SymptomsDebugger halts inside SystemInit() at line 200 (system_stm32wl3x.c), or jumps to an address outside valid memory (0x100004ee — inside the ROM region 0x10000000–0x100017FF) Is there a known-good CMake startup/linker reference for the STM32WL33?

Hello everyone,I’m working with the STM32U5G9J-DK2 and trying to implement a Bootloader + XIP (Execute-In-Place) application architecture using the external flash.Target setup:A minimal bootloader running from internal flashThe main application linked to and executing from external flash (memory-mapped at 0x90000000)The main motivation is to free internal flash and validate this approach for a future MCU with very limited internal flash. What I’m specifically looking for help withProper CubeMX / .ioc configuration for the bootloaderWhich peripherals must be enabled (RCC, PWR, ICACHE, OSPI, etc.)Which peripherals should not be enabled to avoid conflicts with the XIP appAny STM32U5-specific gotchas when initializing OSPI for XIPProper configuration of the application projectRecommended changes to the application .iocWhat initialization should be removed from the app (HAL_Init, clock, OSPI, FLASH, etc.)Reference samplesSTM32Cube examples that demonstrate a full bootloader + XIP app flow on

As shown on the website below, the Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) solution is introduced as an Edge AI use case.https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/st-edge-ai-suite/case-studies/direct-current-arc-faults-detection.htmlFor hardware development reference, would it be possible to purchase the development board shown on the page?It would also be helpful if you could share the schematic and BOM of the PCB.

I have switched an STM32H562 to PROVISIONING product state (from my bootloader code). The plan was to program DA data (certificate), then set TZEN_ENABLE, and finally set product state to CLOSED.When I do this all in one go, with the STM32CubeProgrammer tool, without power cycling the STM32H5 in between, I can set the product state to CLOSED, and after that perform a REGRESSION using the DA certificate and private key. So I know my procedure and DA data must be correct. However, I am now trying to do this step by step, from within my bootloader code. After the first step, just setting product state to PROVISIONING, when the MCU power cycles, I cannot recover.I cannot write DA data from STM32CubeProgrammer, because I get this error:16:26:35 : Error: Unable to reset MCU !16:26:35 : Error: OBKey Provisioning failedI cannot directly write the product state to OPEN (which makes sense)Also, writing it to REGRESSION is not possible in STM32CubeProgrammer.I think REGRESSION is only possible usin

Hello,Do you have a FDA accession number for the VL53L1X  ToF chip? thanks.

I’ve tried to include the ITCM for a while w/o sucess only getting a few cells cooperating leaving the lions share as ???????? in the memory view (STM32CubeIDE 2.2.0). Notably, the DTCM works fine after initiation. I start out (from reset) to verify the ICTMCR/DTCMCR as enabled, identifying the size as 256KB (both). After this I blindly writes 0 (32-bit) all over the place, this makes a very few ITCM cells 0x00000000.If I only initiates DTCM, a few ITCM cells become visible but what looks like randomized not 0.As stated earlier the full DTCM is now 0x00000000. The DBGMCU_IDC isDevID:0x499RevID:0x2000 Somebody sees what I’m doing wrong? All help appreciated!/Henrik

Hi everyone, I’m working with a custom made STM32F446ZET6 board that otherwise functions perfectly (all peripherals, flash programming, etc. work fine). The only thing that doesn’t is the ROM bootloader. I can’t get USB DFU or UART boot to respond no matter what I do. What I’ve verified BOOT0 = 1 (3.3 V) at reset NRST pulled high, no reset loops VDDUSB = 3.3 V, decoupled with 100 nF HSE = Abracon ABLS-8 MHz-12 pF, started with 18 pF load caps and lowered to 10 pF as I saw in a post here this might be the cause PA9 connected directly to VBUS (5 V)  PA11/PA12 wired to USB-FS D−/D+ (verified routing and continuity) Board runs normal firmware from Flash with no issues What I’ve tried BOOT0=1, reset → USB never enumerates Tried UART boot (PA10 RX, PA9 TX, 115200 8E1) → no ACK, completely silent. Verified with ST-Link under reset: RDP = 0xAA (no protection) MEMRMP = 0x0, VTOR = 0x0 → seems like it’s still mapping main Flash, not System Memory. Jum

I am trying to get to the lowest possible power consumption on a WB55 NUCLEO board while the BLE is advertising every three seconds and waking up on the RTC every second.  I have the NUCLEO booting up on the HSE clock, and the stm32_lpm_if.c code switches from HSE to HSI and back as it enters and exits STOP2.  Re-enabling HSE takes about 24 ms and consumes significant current, giving me an average of about 62 uA in this mode.  I’ve found that if don’t enable the HSE, but stay on the HSI the current drops to about 10.5 uA.   The BLE radio functions normally, and I can connect and disconnect and return to the 10.5 uA advertising mode.  Is CPU2 somehow choosing the LSE clock to run on when it exits STOP2 and the HSE is not available?   What is going on?  The documentation is adamant about needing 32MHz for the system clock when running the radio.

We are developing a new board based on the STM32H573.  We want to incorporate both Wi-Fi and BLE support, so adding the ST67W611M1 seems a logical fit.  Digging into CubeMX, it appears that the ST67W relies on a FreeRTOS + lwIP solution, at least for the T02 architecture.  (I would prefer not to use the T01 architecture, as it’s considerably more flexible to have the lwIP API in the host MCU.)  However, we also want to incorporate Ethernet support, and if one wants an out-of-the-Cube(MX) solution for Ethernet, all the provided examples are for ThreadX + NetX Duo.  We recently completed a design with the H563 and Ethernet using ThreadX and NetX Duo, so I’m familiar with that solution.I did see the post about using STM32H5 with lwIP, so I know it’s something that can be done.  Is using FreeRTOS + lwIP the best solution for supporting both Ethernet and Wi-Fi on STM32, since there doesn’t seem to be an out-of-the-box solution for Wi-Fi using ThreadX + NetX Duo?  FWIW, I don’t need to have

I have used STM32CubeMX to change the prescalers in the STM32_WPAN section. However, the code itself never uses the new values. It appears that “something” has marked the RTC as already initialized and it won’t execute that code. How can I force my code to load the new values?Nite: The values that are being loaded came from when I enabled the BLE code, but it causes the RTC to run too slow.

Hi everyone,I'm having a very annoying issue with an STM32U5G9ZJ and a Newhaven NHD-4.0-480480AF-MSXP-CTP display using an ST7701SN over 2-lane MIPI DSI.The basic communication works, but I cannot get any video onto the display. What worksThe panel responds correctly to LP short DSI commands:Reset works. ST7701 registers can be read. The initialisation sequence runs successfully. 0x29 Display ON works. 0x23 All Pixels On makes the display white. So the panel and the LP DSI communication are working. What doesn't workAs soon as I try to send RGB888 video over HS DSI, the display stays black.I've tested this both using the LTDC/framebuffer and the internal pattern generator. The latter was to rule out the framebuffer/LTDC completely. The pattern generator starts successfully and the DSI registers show the video engine and both data lanes entering an active HS state, but the panel still stays black.I'm using:2 DSI lanes RGB888 Burst video mode 480 × 480 480 packet size Continuous clock Automa

I have heard that ST have tried QtNanoBrowser on the MP257 and according to them the web browser is working well.My question is if there are any more additional information about the user experience of QtNanoBrowser on the MP257?For example a benchmark and which pages did run smoothly and which pages took long time to load.

Hello ST Support,I am using the NUCLEO-H533RE board and would like to clarify whether the STM32H533 supports hardware-accelerated SHA-3, particularly SHA3-256.I noticed an inconsistency in the documentation:The product page and datasheet feature summary list “HASH (SHA-1, SHA-2, SHA-3)”. Section 3.30 — HASH hardware accelerator of datasheet DS14539 Rev 3 describes SHA-1/SHA-2 algorithms but does not mention SHA-3. I could not find a SHA-3 operating mode in RM0481, or a corresponding algorithm selector/API in the STM32CubeH5 HAL version installed in my project.Could you please confirm:Does the STM32H533RET6 physically support hardware-accelerated SHA3-256? If so, which registers, HAL APIs, and STM32CubeH5 version should be used? Is an example available?Thank you for your clarification.

Wiring from st link to the stm32g061Error message It does not connect to STM32CubeProgrammer with the stm32G061 it keeps saying Error: unable to get core IDError: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication. I have NRST pulled high with a 10k ohm resistor and then a tactile button which will make it go low when pressed.  The pinout for the STM32G061 is the same as the STM32G050 and when I have the same wiring as I did with the STM32G050 on this st link v2, but with the stm32G050 it connected correctly in STM32CubeProgrammer.  Why doesn’t it work with the STM32G061?

Hi listI am testing the STM32MP135d-odyssey for a project. It is small, still cheap, has support for POE and on board ethernet connectors and SD-card holder. The buildroot repositories are quite old so I wonder if the board is in actual use and can be recommended for new projects? The xogium repository seems very outdated but I have cherry picked a few patches from there to a fork of STMicroelectronics repository and it builds and boots with modern buildroot. I have only tested to boot from sd-card yet. Please test if interested. I have updated versions of buildroot-stm32mp135d-odyssey, u-boot and optee_os in my Github repository.https://github.com/GauiStori/buildroot-stm32mp135d-odysseyShall I make pull requests for u-boot and optee_os to STMicroelectronics or xogium? Or is there an updated version of xogium somewhere? Now I want to see if I can find a working Yocto recipe. RegardsGudjon

Hello ST team,I am using MCSDK 6.4.1 with a custom STM32G431CBUx inverter board. My external ESC PWM signal is physically connected to PB10.As shown in the two attached images:1. Motor Control Workbench shows PWM_ESC_INPUT on PB10 / TIM2_CH3.2. After code generation, STM32CubeMX shows M1_PWM_INPUT on PA15, while PB10 is unconfigured. Why does the generated configuration differ from the Workbench setting? Is this a known limitation or a configuration issue? How can I use PB10 / TIM2_CH3 with the native MCSDK ESC functionality?Thank you.
