Solved

Hi all,Does ST have any solution for Development of Driver circuit of "Permanent magnet synchronous AC servo motor" and "AC induction servo motor".

Posted on June 17, 2018 at 12:25Hello,For the moment, X-CUBE-MCSDK only support PMSMs and BLDC motors. However, AC inductions motors are not supported yet, that's a shame because this kind of motor is still very present in the majority of industrial applications.Do support of these motors are planned in a next version of X-CUBE-MCSDK?Best regards, Damien#acim-pmsm-bldc-x-cube-mcsdk

I used the BlueNRG GUI app (as described in 2.2 of AN5651) to flash a non-official firmware (this one) on my brand new X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1. I did a few tests and realized that ST BLE sample apps weren't working anymore. So I decided to come back to the official firmware. This time, I used a ST-LINK V2 clone and the STSW-BNRGFLASHER app. I could successfully flash the latest BlueNRG-M2SA_M2SP_DTM_Stack_v2.1c/BLUENRG-M2SP_32MHz_RO_SMPS_off/SPI firmware, but it didn't get me back to the initial situation: ST BLE sample apps still don't work. They all hang immediately in hci_reset() (timeout in hci_send_req()). Any idea what's wrong?

Hello,In motor control pack P-NUCLEO-IHM001, microcontroller is STM32F302R8 which has only 1 ADC.The motor drive has option to use 3 current shunts.By analyzing the datasheet, ADC does not have multiple sample & hold circuits. So, how would it be possible to sample 3 phase current with this mcu?

When a GPIO pin is connected to power an external device via Magnetic switch, from the STM32 point of view how does it know if the Magnetic switch is ON/OFF? ON -> Device is powered ON similarly OFF.Can STM32 detects change in current on GPIO pins?Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I try to use the STM32MP1 in engeneering boot mode to develop the co-processor's firmware. Unfortunately the code generation is not complete, meaning initialization for all GPIO pins (exept MCO Pins) are missing. Is it possible to activate the code generation for the GPIO pins which are used only by the M4 co-processor? Thanks an best regards

I want to use ST BLE Sensor_v4.9.0 app to do FFT from STEVAL-STWINKT1 MCU board with built-in vibration sensor IIS3DWB. However, I cannot select 4096 FFT size, only 1024 FFT size. Why? Please advise. By the way, the maximum sensor output data rate (Hz) is 6660 Hz only, not 26667 Hz. Why? Thanks!

Stm32f469 is currently developing the product using TouchGFX. The problem is that when the screen changes, the picture sometimes disappears. I thought there might be a problem with QSPI communication.QSPI believes that there is a memory-mapped mode that is used for operations to read data.I want to test by changing the QSPI setting to Memory-mapped mode in my program, how can I change the mode?I would appreciate it if you let me know if it is done in QSPI settings or if I need to add code separately.

I'm using L3GD20H on a flight controller board for drones. While conducting a temperature test that starts from -11°C and ends at 50°C, I observed a sharp rise/drop in gyro values at around 23°C. (The board stayed still the whole time inside a vibrating chamber.)Can you give me any insight on why this happens or/and how to prevent it?

I can use st25DVTag.writeMailboxMessage(bytes) to write the Mailbox,I can also use st25DVTag.readMailboxMessageLength() to get the length of message(it returns 1),but when I try to read the Mailbox message,it throw a com.st.st25sdk.STException: Error CMD_FAILED.st25DVTag.readMailboxMessage(0, 0) or st25DVTag.readMailboxMessage(0, 1), both of them can occur exception. How can I read the MailboxMessage?

Hello!I would like to use the ADC4 of a nucleo303RE board with a X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1.The Software (MCSDK 5.1.3) has functions already written for this in mc_tasks.c:void MC_RequestRegularConv(uint8_t bChannel, uint8_t bSamplTime)uint16_t MC_GetRegularConv(void)UDRC_State_t MC_RegularConvState(void)The Problem with this: I can only choose the Channel but not the ADC instance to be converted so the conversion is seemingly always made on ADC1. How can I change the ADCx (x=2,3,4) to be used for my conversion? Many Thanks,Martin

Posted on April 21, 2018 at 22:53I set up X-CUBE-MCSDK_v5.0.3 from st.com. MCSDK 5.0.3 is seen as  5.0.2 in About windows. Why?#mcsdk

Hello I made a custom board with a stm32f446ze and L6398 driver. To make it work I generated the source code thanks to STMCWB and I built it with atollic TRUE Studio. And I added this code in the while loop in the main.c file:/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) {  HAL_Delay(2000);  MC_ProgramSpeedRampMotor1(83,0);  HAL_Delay(100);  MC_StartMotor1();  HAL_Delay(3000);  MC_StopMotor1(); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */} // End of int main(void)The PWM outputs of my microcontroler are still at 3.3V for high side and 0V for low side. I don't understand why but the pwm signals are not generated. Is something missing in my code ? or the problem is somewhere else?Regards

Hello,We have used your MCSDK successfully in a custom BLDC design and it is working well. We have some conditions however when we are reducing speed on a large inertia and this causes an overvoltage spike. The MCSDK faults on this (we have it set to fault protection) immediately. However, the behavior we are looking for is that during an overvoltage situation we will turn the low side FETs on and if the overvoltage continues for more than some duration ( 100 msec for example ), then we will go to a fault state. However, if the overvoltage condition rectifies itself in this time frame, we would like to continue back to operating condition. Before we started to code this methodology, I had a few questions:1) Is there already a method within the MCSDK that handles this type of situation?2) Does anyone see a problem with this approach or have a suggestion as to another method? Thanks!

STM32H750 with external flash and SDRAMTouchGFX version: 4.13.0CubeIDE version: 1.3.0display size: 480x272(landscape), but I config the display orientation in portrait in TouchGFXcolor depth: 24bitshttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1zCucWuLi5BSJUm0VCHaRtqnaUQRpIIhy/view?usp=sharingPlease see the video showing the tearing effect. It happens randomly after reboot. If I reboot 100 times, I can see it around 1~3 times. It will keep exist until next reboot.I also found setVisibile (left top icon) will cause tearing, but setAlpha (middle icon) will not. Could anyone provide some advice for debugging?

Hey. When will it be possible to add the EVSPIN32F0601S3 board to the ST Motor Profiler? Or which one to choose from the proposed for determining the parameters of the electric motor?

Hy there,I would like to ask you, if there is possible to get the basic source code that you are uploading to the STM32G431CB ? I am using it with that basic code, with a MOTOR PROFILER GUI. I am trying to change the motor rotation periodicly (eg. after 3 period the direction of the rotation should change IMMIDIATELY) but with the help of the GUI it changes very slow... I would like to modify the code, I just do not know, which code should I download? Can you please send me the basic source code for STM32G431CB , motor rotation?Thank you in advance,N.

How I can Define motor parameters if I do not find my board (steval spin3201) in Motor Profiler? Where is AN and anything??

Hi!I am using STM32F746ZG + IHM08M1, I removed all bridges as recommended in Motor Profiler tool, and then I generated a project with Workbech. What I spotted that motor spins not that smooth like with F3 or F4 series. While testing I found that only CH1, CH3, CH1N channels are used to spinn the motor.CH2N, CH3N are assigned to pins PE10, PE12 that are not even connected to the IHM08M1.When I reassign them correctly the motor stops working.I wanted to use other power board, based on the configuration and code. But now I am not sure how does this work. Can some one explain why this F746 board is so strangely configured?

Hi everyone,Could someone please help me know if ST MC Workbench implements SVPWM ? I have been looking at all features in the workbench but I haven't found any settings which allow tuning of the PWM algorithm. Thanks in advance.

My platform is：STM32F407IG ，MotorControl Workbench 5.4.4，IAR EMARM V8,STM32 FW V1.24.1When I use both the Hall sensor and the encoder, the encoder serves as the Main sensor and the Hall sensor as the Auxiliary sensor. The code it generates has a warning:Warning[Pa181]: incompatible redefinition of macro "SPD_TIM_M1_IRQHandler" (declared at line 268) It prompted me to define both the Hall sensor and the encoder timer as SPD_TIM_M1/2_IRQHandler.And the notes are all hints as AUXILIARY ** TIMER MOTOR.When I was debugging, the program got stuck after “HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM5_IRQn);?It loops around here:Is my engineering configuration not right or cannot be used in this way，If you encounter this problem, please communicate with me. Thank you so much.

Posted on April 19, 2018 at 01:51Hello,I recently bought two BLDC motor controllers, the STEVAL-SPIN3202 and the X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1 shield forNUCLEO-F401RE.I have a project to control a BLDC sensored motor. I am not sure how to move forward. I have AC6, IAR and MKD installed. I have tried installed motor control workbench with no luck. X-CUBE-MCSDK executable that can be downloaded from the following link does not work for some reason.http://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stm32100.html I am wondering if there is something else I need to install for this to work?FIY, I am using Windows10 and I have STM32CubeMX installed.

Posted on May 14, 2018 at 16:13Hi,When not using the motor profiler and instead writing all details by hand into the Motor Control Workbench (with Hall Sensors, Manual editing of PI variables disabled) at Motor - Parameters, there are fields for Inertia and Friction. So far, so good. Just the units are a bit confusing:Inertia: uN*m*s2Friction: uN*m*sI thought that inertia had the units kg*m² and friction N*m, which I wasn't able to match with the given units.Any clues how to do this right? Also does u stand for micro in this case or for something else? Thanks,Martin
