Solved

Hi Folks, Currently Stm32CubeMx Generator for STM32L151 creates an "LL_SPI_SetStandard" call in spi.c which is not available for that device. That seems to be a bug here.

I tested it with CubeMX version 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4, they all work up to STM32CubeF7 Firmware V1.16.0, but not newer versions.See also: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF7/issues/63

 I cant seem to find the correct IDE, etc. Looking to use something like eclipse and the USB. Any good documentation would be helpful, thanks!

Hi to all!!!I do repeteadly this function:switch(segundero_d){case 0: numero_0(); break;case 1: numero_1(); break;case 2: numero_2(); break;case 3: numero_3(); break;case 4: numero_4(); break;case 5: numero_5(); break;case 6: numero_6(); break;case 7: numero_7(); break;case 8: numero_8(); break;case 9: numero_9(); break;}switch(segundero){case 0: numero_0(); break;case 1: numero_1(); break;case 2: numero_2(); break;case 3: numero_3(); break;case 4: numero_4(); break;case 5: numero_5(); break;case 6: numero_6(); break;case 7: numero_7(); break;case 8: numero_8(); break;case 9: numero_9(); break;}...where the function numero_x are:void numero_0(void){l=m; fb[l][n]=0x3E; //b"00111110";fb[l+1][n]=0x22; //b"00100010";fb[l+2][n]=0x22; //b"00100010";fb[l+3][n]=0x22; //b"00100010";fb[l+4][n]=0x3E; //b"00111110";n++;}void numero_1(void){l=m; fb[l][n]=0x08; //b"00001000";fb[l+1][n]=0x18; //b"00011000";fb[l+2][n]=0x08; //b"00001000";fb[l+3][n]=0x08; //b"00001000";fb[l+4][n]=0x3E; //b"00

HelloI am new to STMCubeMX and am no expert at using the STM32 Nucleo boards.However I am keen to learn.I heard that the STMCubeMX software is a great place to start as it has a great GUI for configuring Pins on the MCU.I recently tried this app, as an experiment, trying to set up the MCU to have as many GPIO external Interrupts as possible.But found that I was limited to configure only a small amount of the PINS as Interrupts, and if i tried to set up any more, a conflict of GPIO_EXTl address would occur, which results in one of the PINS that has the same name automatically changing to its former designation.Does this make any sense to anyone.Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi,I'm looking for the right steps to add the Hal library to a Keil project.i already have the stm32f1xx hal library that include the hal and the cmsis folders (src and include).i'm facing some problem with linking the library. so if someone can tell me the steps i need to follow to build the project.

Hello everyone,I want to use the LIS3MDL Magnetometer sensor in the picture with a NUCLEO-L053R8 board with an I2C interface.I want to set the sensor to output an Interrupt.My question is: Can I do this, using the Official X-Cube-MEMS1 library? Is there a video or document that explains this?

We are trying to extend the FOV of this VL53L1X sensor, and our current idea is to use multiple that are overlapping. Will these sensors cause interference with each other when they are close together?

Say, I have a STM32L431RB (128k,64k) on a board design. This is the lowest flash size on the 6 chips on the STM32L4x1Rx 64pin variety. It certainty looks like I can drop-in any of the larger flash/ram chips as the pin outs all look the same. But do I need to actually rebuild the binary for each variant? For example the STM32L431RC is exactly the same, but with more flash, while the 451 and 471 variants seem. Can it take the binary for for a STM32L431RB.Has anyone tried this?I ask this mostly to see if I can be a bit better protected against supply chain shortages in the future.One tricky area for me might be in-field upgrades and tracking of which variants are going into which boards.

I connect the CN2 to the USB3 port of my PC. The boards powers up, the LD8 is on. The pre-loaded demo starts. However - the PC doesn't detect the board. Cube Programmer doesn't see the board. Of course TouchGFXDesigner doesn't detect the board too. I tried connecting it with 3 different cables, to all my PC USB ports, also connecting more than 1 USB cable at a time. Nothing works, PC doesn't even beep after connecting the board. When I connect my other STM board (L746RG) it beeps and Cube Programmer sees it.

Hi,I have questions about LSE Drive (STM32L0).1) In RCC register are LSEDRV[1:0] bits and I am not sure if I understand it corretly.From datasheet about these bits: They are cleared by a power-on reset or an RTC reset. Once “00? has been written, the content of LSEDRV cannot be changed by software.It means once I set them to zero then I can not change it in SW again?2) My crystal has only params like: ESR, DriveLevel (min,max), Cshunt, Cload. How Can I calculate drive level when I do not know nothing about Gmcritical_max, also I do not have current probe to measure current in crystal?Thank you very much. Jan.

When I generate the code for a simple STM32U5x project with a USART configured and GPDMA configure for the USART TX and/or RX, the initialization code in MX_GPDMA1_Init() will be properly generated if I have my project to generate all the initialization code in main.c. However, if I change the project settings by enabling "Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of '.c/.h' files per peripheral", the resulting MX_GPDMA1_Init() found in gpdma.c will not contain any code, just comments.The work around it to manually add the necessary initialization code into one of the /* USER */ sections in MX_GPDMA1_Init().Hopefully this can be fixed in a not-too-distant future release.Thanks,Craig

Relevant information in the datasheets and reference manual (RM0454) is lacking and/or confusion, but that 128Mhz can be achieved is clearly stated (STM32G030): Cube also does allow for me to put in a 128 value for the ABP timer clocks (tested for both the STM32G030 and STM32G070), as shown below: But when I look at the generated code (for TIM1), there is no code change when compared to the version generated for a 64Mhz input value. Note that Cube is erratic after changing values in this area: sometimes it updates the code sometimes it doesn't. So my question is how to configure 128Mhz operation. Is it through the timer clock, or some center-aligned PWM configuration as suggested below: That's it. Here's some extra tidbits found (from the refman): From the datasheet:

Hello dear STM32-Community,I'm using an STM32L4R and wanted to configure my data retention of SRAM2 for standbymode.I did the following changes to the linker file:/* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x10004000; /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of stack */   /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 640K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 2048K SRAM2 (rw) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 16K }   [........]   .data : { . = ALIGN(8); _sdata = .; /* create a global symbol at data start */ *(.data) /* .data sections */ *(.data*) /* .data* sections */   . = ALIGN(8); _edata = .; /* define a global symbol at data end */ } >SRAM2As seen on the screenshot the data is acutally saved in SRAM2 (0x10000000) but except for counter, which is specifically inita

My TouchGFX project is originally created with v4.16.1. I just downloaded latest version of TouchGFX i.e. 4.18.1. The latest version tried to convert my project and threw below error. So, I opened the project with v4.17.1 and it converted fine. But when I try to open with 4.18.1, it throws error. Please let me know.

A lot of images are uploaded in to my TouchGFX project. I would like to removed unused images from there. How would I know if a particular image is used in the project or not? For example, Texts -> Typographies tab shows how many uses a particular font has. Similarly, is there a way to know if a particular image is used or not?

It's not a big deal but this got me confused for a moment when I suddenly got compiler warnings.Steps to reproduce:Start a new project in STM32CubeIDEUse STM32L422RBI MCU, default settings, finishCubeMX: Enable SPI1 peripheral, Full-Duplex Master, default configurationCubeMX: Project Manager > Code Generator > Enable "Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of '.c/.h' files per peripheral"Save IOC, generate code, build project: observe 0 errors, 0 warningsNote that in Core/main.c, there is a line #include "spi.h"Open IOC in CubeMX againCubeMX: Activate QUADSPI peripheral, Bank1 with Single/Dual Lines, default configurationSave IOC, generate code, build project: observe 0 errors, 1 warning: "implicit declaration of function 'MX_SPI1_Init'; did you mean 'MX_GPIO_Init'? [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]"Observe that #include "spi.h" has been replaced by #include "quadspi.h"This can easily be fixed manually by adding the missing include below in the user includes but still, it s

CFG_DEBUG_TRACE are gray and I can not enable it. All options are the same as in example project for WB55. I can not use example project because I have different MCU. As I understand, bug exists for years, but nobody cares.

It is a hardware limitation or bug in STM32CubeMX ?

After migrating a project to STM32CubeMX Version 6.4.0 / HAL 1.9.1or after creation of a new project using the latest version of STM32CubeMX 6.4.0. / HAL 1.9.1. an include for spi.h is missing, which produces a compiler error! In the previous version all was fine.Processor: STM32H7A3ZITxactivated port: SPI3 and some Timers, USART, CAN, etc.After Code Creation with the new release, a line is missing in main.h: #include "spi.h" Please forward this to your responsibles. Thank you.BR GS

When set TX Pin Active Level Inversion to Enable, CubeMX generate a wrong statment:LL_USART_SetRXPinLevel(UART4, UART_ADVFEATURE_RXINV_ENABLE);

I downloaded and installed STM32CubeProgrammer v2.9.0 on my Linux machine. The STLinkUpgrade.jar is nowhere to be found. I had a friend (also on Linux) download and install STM32CubeProgrammer v2.9.0 on his machine and he had the same problem.
