Hello,I working with a motor that has very few info : motorBased on the picture, to do the profiling (in ST Motor profiler) of this motor. Pole pairs : 42Max speed : 600Max current : 5AVoltage : 24V but the application show 23V (therefore 12V as under voltage threshold and 28V as over voltage threshold)When I connect the device and start the profiling, after few moments, the profiling stops with orange over voltage error. I guess it's more a warning than an error but where this come from and how to not have it anymore?I'm asking this because it seems that ignoring the very first step in my project bring me more troubles

Hello,is it ok to use the __GNUC__, __GNUC_MINOR__ and __GNUC_PATCHLEVEL__ marcros, to check the toolchain version, at compile time?I am using the following toolchain version:In this case and the macros have the following values:__GNUC__ = 10__GNUC_MINOR__ = 3__GNUC_PATCHLEVEL__ = 1I have noticed that the first two values are the same of the toolchain (10.3).Thank you,Carlo

Hello guys :)I am programming with stm8s105k4it immediately exit halt mode with in about 10us When It enter the Halt mode.What is it?I knew the exit condition from halt mode is only EXT INT, But I naver enable any EXT INT.What happend with my MCU.There are not any Interrupts(include comm int.) and no reset.I don,t know What is it.

I am using STM32H7A3/7B3 to my project.Currently I use HSE as for the system clock.There is a process when press power OFF MCU will go to STOP mode.My question how to check that HSE has stop and enter the STOP mode correctly?

Hi team,I have followed the steps given (407) Disabling TrustZone on STM32U5 - YouTubewhile disabling trustzone on B-U585I-IOT02A Discovery Kit it shows below errors in snapshotPlease let me know any solution on this asap !!Thanks in advance !!

Hello guys,i try to use RTOS with my STM32H723, but i have some trouble with the RTOS Tasks and the proper definition of the task.As an example i want to push the blue button on my Nucleo board, which triggers an Interrupt, which executes a RTOS Task (https://www.freertos.org/taskresumefromisr.html)When you create a RTOS Task in CubeMX the IDE generates the following code in the main.c file:/* Definitions for BlueButton */ osThreadId_t BlueButtonHandle; const osThreadAttr_t BlueButton_attributes = { .name = "BlueButton", .stack_size = 128 * 4, .priority = (osPriority_t) osPriorityHigh, };The interrupt handler functions, that I want to use, are in the stm32H/xx_it.c file.In this file I have the following IRQ handler:void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ if(__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_GET_FLAG(BLUE_BUTTON_Pin)) { BaseType_t checkIfYieldRequired; checkIfYieldRequired = xTaskResumeFromISR(BlueButtonHandle); portYIELD_FROM_ISR(checkIfYieldRequired); //B

Hello,I'm using a custom board based on a STM32H735 with various GPIO inputs and outputs. The STM32 is packaged as a 0.5mil pitch BGA and the board assembly has been outsourced.I'm able to flash a program on the MCU and debug it by adding breakpoints and visualizing registers values. However, none of the GPIO is working: I cannot drive a LED nor read a button input state. The registers are set as expected when using the HAL to set/reset a GPIO output. I've tried to bypass the HAL and write directly on the registers MODER and ODR, and the IDR register value change as expected. On top of that, I have no trouble driving a GPIO output on my STM32H735 demo board, so I don't think the issue come from the software.I have 6 LEDs on different GPIO ports, and I cannot drive a single one of them. I also have three boards, I'm able to flash and debug all of them, but not a single GPIO.It looks as if the GPIOs of the MCU where somehow not connected to the LEDs and buttons of my board. It could be e

Hello, I'm locking for a STM32Fxxx development board containing a physical CAN-Interface. Has anybody any proposals? Thank's!

Hi all,We are trying to wire a microphone to the STM32U585. The microphone (T5838) outputs PDM and takes a clock as input.As far as I understand, the MDF peripheral supports PDM interface (as stated in RM046, Rev 4, 39.1), so it is compatible with the microphone.The PDM output should be wired to MDF_SDIx, and we can the provide the clock for the microphone with MDF_CCKy.BUT, later in the documents, it is stated that:```The SITFx input interfaces allow the connection of the external sensors to the digital filters,via the bitstream matrix (BSMX). The SITFx serial interface can be configured in thefollowing modes:• LF_MASTER SPI mode (low-frequency)• normal SPI mode• Manchester mode```To me, SPI is a protocole used to communicate data, just as Manchester, and it is nothing like PDM.What are these "modes" and what is their use?Can I use the MDF to communicate with an external ADC through a SPI bus? Can't I use the MDF to read PDM?I spent hours reading the documentations and I still can't f

Hello, I am developing a dual processor application with a host (STM32F205xx) and a slave (Radio Module SoC). The idea is to update the wireless module's firmware from the PC via the virtual COM port.The firmware is temporarily stored in STM flash memory. The problem is that only the first segment is saved correctly. Attempting to save the next segment to flash memory will cause the Virtaul Com port to reboot.When USB data reception interruption, the function below is called, the flash address was set to 0x080E0000 (will be cleared when STM restarts)uint8_t ReceiveSegmentClb(const uint32_t offset, uint8_t *segmentData, uint8_t chunkSize){    if(offset + chunkSize <= FirmwareLength)    {    uint8_t chunkIndex = 0;    HAL_FLASH_Unlock();    while(chunkIndex < chunkSize)    {       flashStatus = HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_BYTE,       0x

I am trying to run the Getting started with stm32f4discovery project in matlab simulink. the code simple wont run. I tried multiple methods and answers however my error is always related to USB connection issues.  "Error while trying to establish USB communication with the STM32F4-Discovery board. Please reset the USB communication: 1. Disconnect the USB cable from the board. 2. Wait for three seconds. 3. Connect the USB cable again." There is simply no information regarding the use of specific discovery f411 board, neither has MATLAB or STM have bothered to specify anything, the support package seems like namesake.Has anyone worked specifically with this board and could support me in troubleshooting this? Other than the specified steps from the example, there is a lot of external settings involved, I have updated the ARM compilier, STLink, STLink Firmware, MATLAB add ons are in place, tried with jumper on CN3 on and off also, however a simple LED program cannot be run. My bo

Hi!I am playing around with some STM32CubeMX configurations for the STM32U599/U5A9-series, but I can't find any options to configure the display DSI-interface, only LTD RGB/parallel.Are there any prerequisites that needs to be configured first in order for the DSI-option menu to show?Thanks

I see these in the linker scripts, but I do not see them in the output for a C application.I know eh_frame is for C++ exceptions, and it is not strange it is not in the output of the C application. I also read it is used for some C functionality as well. Can these functionality be used in embedded platforms (without an OS) ? Can I ever see eh_frame in a C build output ?I thought init and fini is only for processes and shared objects. Neither is in a C project, are these used for anything else ?

How to put all code from one file in one linker section?I'm using Cubeide with gccThe following functionality should work but it doesn't for some reason, can anyone help here?It shall be possible to group functions in a section based on some filters. e.g. some pattern in the name, individually specifying each and every function, all functions from one file. etc..In my case what i would like to do is to automatically put all functions from one file in a separate section apart from the rest (.text)However trying several variations of this it doesn't work, i can't set up the filter properly so this is applied only to functions from specific_file.c.specific_code : {specific_file.c *(.text*)} > FLASHGCC complains that either the file is not found or the format is not recognized or there are multiple definitions.(function name pattern matching, or specifying the attribute manually for each function works as expected)

Hi, I am trying to access the Virtual COM port on my STM32F411 VET discovery board but I am not able to find the instructions to do so. I am trying to use serial communication in Simulink where for the STM32F4xx they used the USART2 and VCP com number from device manager. I have two doubts as the user manual is pretty confusing,1) do i need to make any soldering or changed on the board or change the jumpers to activate the Virtual COM Port.2) which cable does Vitual com port connect to? the mini USB port or the USB TTL cable, if USB TTL then what pins? 3) I am trying to access data from the MEMs accelerometer, will the USART be the same for this as well since there is only one USART for serial communication on the board? if yes, which USART?Help please :(I am stuck very bad :(

I am using the CORDIC engine on an STM32G474 to perform an atan2, sin, and cos operations sequentially. Running the code below and testing different inputs yields expected results for atan2, but does not yield expected results for sin and cos. However, the sin/cos operation does yield expected results when commenting out the first CORDIC operation. Essentially, it appears that reconfiguring the CORDIC engine and running a different operation in quick succession yields incorrect results for the second operation. I didn't notice any examples in AN5325 that discussed reconfiguring the CORDIC engine, so I'm not sure how to deal with this issue. LL_CORDIC_Config(hcordic.Instance, LL_CORDIC_FUNCTION_PHASE, LL_CORDIC_PRECISION_6CYCLES, LL_CORDIC_SCALE_0, LL_CORDIC_NBWRITE_2, LL_CORDIC_NBREAD_1, LL_CORDIC_INSIZE_32BITS, LL_CORDIC_OUTSIZE_32BITS); LL_CORDIC_WriteData(hcordic.Instance, cordic_input_x); LL_CORDIC_WriteData(hcordic.Instance, cordic_input_y);

I am using the B-U585I-IOT02A discovery kit with the STM32U585AI chip.Using code generated by STM Cube.Attempting to configure use of the SMPS power supply results in a timeout in the  HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply() function.In the sequence below, smps_mode remains the same after each function call. The HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_SMPS_SUPPLY); call returns a timeout.Why? I should be able to switch back and forth between LDO and SMPS, and the dev kit seems to have the proper hardware to support SMPS.STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.12.0 Build: 14980_20230301_1550 (UTC) uint32_t smps_mode = HAL_PWREx_GetSupplyConfig(); HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY); smps_mode = HAL_PWREx_GetSupplyConfig(); HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_SMPS_SUPPLY); smps_mode = HAL_PWREx_GetSupplyConfig();

Hello.I encountered a truncation error issue while working on a grid-connected converter application with the STM32G474MET6 MCU. To manage multiple ADC channels, I opted for DMA to obtain 12-bit ADC converted values. However, I've noticed a bit truncation error in the converted values, where such LSB of the value remains unchanged even as the analog value varies. Here's an illustrative example:When Vref = VDDA = 3.3V, and the analog value continuously shifts from 1.65V to 1.68V, the converted values exhibit a step-function behavior. The digital values transition from 2063 (0b 1000 0000 1111) to 2079 (0b 1000 0001 1111), with 'no intermediate values'. Even though the analog value changes, the four LSBs of the converted value persist as 0b1111. I also attached the waveform of bit truncation: the green one is real value and the others are ADC converted values(I apologize for slight difference of scale).Discovering this error was quite embarrassing, prompting me to explore potential soluti

 Hi all,I am doing a project and need up to 25 ADC channels to read current from HAL ACS712 sensor,I have never read so many ADC channels.I saw that the STM32L152VET6 supports 25 ADC channels, so I chose it.I have a problem when configuring with ST32 IDE, how to identify IN0 and IN0b in Rank - channel, I see that there is only channel 0 to channel 1, channel 0b is not found.Please help me, thanks all !

I am using STM32Cube IDE to build for the STM32F030. The MCU we are using has 16 KB flash, and we are looking for ways to reduce the build size to get it to fit. In the process of looking at module build sizes, I noticed the following at the start of the .text section:.text 0x00000000080000c0 0x56c40x00000000080000c0 . = ALIGN (0x4)*(.text).text 0x00000000080000c0 0x48 d:/st/stm32cubeide_1.12.0/stm32cubeide/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.200.202301161003/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/10.3.1/thumb/v6-m/nofp/crtbegin.o.text 0x0000000008000108 0x16e8 C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp\RF_MCU_FW.elf.itYf8e.ltrans0.ltrans.o0x000000000800166c EXTI4_15_IRQHandlerI am wondering what ltrans0.ltrans.o is or contains, as it is using over 5 KB of flash, making it the single largest component in flash. But I cannot seem to find anything that describes what it is. Can anyone tell me what ltrans is?When I looked at some projects that were

Dear Members,I am using STM32L4P5VGT, STM32CubeMX 6.9.1, and STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.18.0.In our board, we are using external ADC(16 bits with 8 CH, SAR, and simultaneously S/H. ADC sampling rate starts from 2K to 16K. In our use case, there will be multiple such boards in the field at different locations, and sampling of all these ADC should be in sync as much as possible. For this purpose, onboard GPS PPS output is used to realign the Sampling PWM output of the MCU which is the trigger of ADC start, if it drifts at every second. The MCU is also using TXCO with very low ppm. It is also expected that if the PPS pulse is missing due to weather conditions, PWM output should continue without sync till the GPS recovers.The scheme used as follows and it is working fine as per requirement:1. The TIM2, CH2 is used as PPS input (ICP direct mode), and2. The TIM2, CH1 is used ADC Start Conversion input (PWM Generation CH1 mode)3. TIM2 timer used, Slave with Reset Mode, Trigger Source TI2FP2, Clock so

I know this is very weird behavior but it is quite easily reproduceable error. I am running Windows 11 on a laptop.CubeMX version : 6.9.1CubeIDE version : 1.13.1Board I am using is this. Looks like genuine STM32F103C8T6 chip.I could upload USB_DEVICE successfully with this chip.For the test, I only enabled TIM4 counter up mode with Global interrupt and ADC1 as DMA.ADC channels are set as below.I made a git repository here for review.https://github.com/kyuhyong/stm32_adc_test TIM4 on this project is not working when only 1 or 2 channels are enabled. (Only 1 ISR is called then stop)If I enable ADC1 with more than 3 channels, TIM4 works as expected. (checkout to adc3 branch)Very strange bug I guess. Any solutions?

Hello,I am thinking of buying an nucleo-g474re for 3-channel DMA sampling from the ADCs. Before I acquire one, I'd like to know if it can fit my use case. There are three analog input sources. Each one ranges from -100mV to +100mV. Is it possible for me to use 3 opamp pins to offset the negative voltages to positive and subsequently amplify to 3.3V? I know it is possible to use the DAC to set the input voltage offset with at least one pin, but I would like to know if this can be done for three. Once I offset, can I route directly to the ADC pins? Can I do this all internally, with no external wires, resistors, and boards?Thank you for your help

Hello I need help to update my fus in stm32wb10ccu5. If there is any expert available from Stm please reply.

Hello,I have made a custom board using the STM32WB55CEU6 chip and I would like to try out some examples that are available from ST. My problem is that these examples are made for STM32WB55CG and I can't find an easy way to change target of these examples. In the read me file it says:This example has been tested with NUCLEO-G431KB RevA board and can beeasily tailored to any other supported device and development board.But i can't seem to find an easy way to do it. My current aproach is:- Getting the example project using CubeMX.- Creating new project with the desired target- Importing .ioc project configurationAfter that I have the same configuration but the project is obviously empty. The example files are linked so i can't copy them. Thank you in advance for any help.
