Solved

I uninstalled my prior Autodevkit 2.1 which seemed to had a lot of trouble with my workspace. The new 2.2 looked promising. A minor bug is that it still shows 2.1 in the About/help section as in the release notes, as on the linked website of the release notes.  But most disturbing: I miss my examples from the application library! If I choose AEK-MCU-C2MLIT1 or SPC58EC I cant see any CAN example. Even if i filter for CAN I get some results of which some dont even contain any CAN. The RLA CAN Test Application for discovery is gone (I used it on 2.1), I can find it when I select SPC58x Gxx - which does not work (UDE can´t get contact and load this onto the board) I also can´t find a example update function or release note what the examples are doing in particular or which UM/release note may walk me through them. How is the usage intended?

Hello everyone! I have been complaining about this for 1 week. I can't make "HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT" send data to the master, but Slave to master ACK works fine, does anyone have any advice to give me that can guide me a little? I am using the STM32F030. in another way i need the slave to respond to many ADDRESS for this i configure the mask to pass any address possible. Clock STRETCH or not dont affect this trouble. The interruptions in "NVIC settings" are activated (i2C global interrupt), the frequency is the maximum possible (64Mhz) and the master speed is 20Khz, I have also tried with 100,400,1000 Khz and nothing worked, the Slave ACK perfectly in any frequency. in another way if i use "HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Receive_IT" slave receives data perfectly. in another way when i try to transmit data to master, im getting in"HAL_I2C_GetError(hi2c);"the error code 0x0A.... what this mean? My code:  #define RxSIZE 100 uint8_t RxData[RxSIZE]; uint8_t TxData[RxSIZE]; uin

The  tutorial and transcript for STM32 FD CAN  LOOPBACK MODE provide  the partial code . Is there the entire code that I can download similar to that found for    TUT_CAN_LOOPBACK code (link) in the STM32 CAN Loopback tutorial

I have Nucelo-F492 and I used STM32Cube on 2022 successfully without any problem. This was very easy. I am attending now a training course in "RTOS by using Keil uVision", But every time I use Keil to erase or download programs in my Nucleo, Keil uVision 5 is closed suddenly, although I am using now one of the examples in Keil for STM32F492. Can anyone help me in starting using Keil uVision 5 with my Nucleo ? Is there a tool allowing me to erase my programs in Nucleo and download the code generated by Keil in my Nucleo?Any advices? By the way, I have downloaded the STLink drivers and STLink Server.

Hi, I am new in STM32 MCU. I have bought Nucleo F429ZI, I downloaded and installed STM32CubeIDE. I have selected a new project, then I selected some examples for Nucleo-F429ZI. The name of the project is GPIO-IOToggle. I made a build without making any change, but it gives me the following 4 error messages:

Specifically, pintout for Nucleo-G071RBI've spent some hours searching the STM website for the above. Please prove me wrong but I've checked UM2324 User Manual, UM1727 and every document under the Documentation tab of https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-g071rb.html  "STM32 Nucleo-64 development board with STM32G071RB MCU, supports Arduino and ST morpho connectivity". (Page 30 of UM2324 comes close with a pinout of a related board, but not my one.)Also various flyers and promotion websites related to this board. The closest I've come is a poor copy of the pinout in an ARM MBed site, so I know it exists somewhere. Please prove me wrong and I'll admit I'm an ***

Not sure this is the right label Is there  a link  where I can obtain the complete program code for STM32 FDCAN in NORMAL MODE for the STM32H745I-DISCO ( Tutorial ) similar to the entire code MULTI Can .zip  that was found i the link for the STM32 Can with multiple perpherials

Hi, I just moved from stm32 with Cube IDE into AutoDevKit with an AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1 discovery board. I am so frustrated after a complete 8 hour spin and still no results. Why is AutoDevKit called an IDE when the Debugger is still external? I dont get it. I tried to get it running and found posts heer, 3 years old already stating that the eclipse integration tool does not work anymore. I run into trouble with the external UDE debugger as well, plenty of them. Is there an IDE as CUBE where I can get everything for the SPC controllers? Is there an explanation and code example of simple things like blinking LEDs, hello word kind of things? Or is there a way to run SPC58 in CubeIDE? Tips, suggestions?

In the R3_2_GetPhaseCurrents(), the following line reads the ADC data register.hReg1 = *pHandle->pParams_str->ADCDataReg1[bSector] * 2;The value of the hReg1 will be used to compute the phase current later. Why is the value of the ADC data register multiplied by 2?Thanks in advance.

Using the RTC on a NUCLEO-G071RB (HAL) I have a program the prints out the time, date and temperature in degrees Centigrade. I left it running overnight and discovered in the morning that the hours had not reset to 00:00 at midnight and neither had the date rolled forward by a day.I'm not experienced in embedded systems, in fact this is my first attempt at programming any MCU, but I thought this rollover was implemented in the HAL library.I'm using functions HAL_RTC_SetTime & HAL_RTC_SetDate to initialise the clock to 10 seconds before midnight) and then HAL_RTC_GetTime and HAL_RTC_GetDate before printing to the serial monitor.I'm not asking to fix my code (attached) but would appreciate help in knowing where to look. Thanks

Hello all, I am trying to debug a faulty board with two chips on it, which I am struggling to identify.Top row shows 324, bottom row does show the ST logo and "EZ7H713"Does someone have an idea where to look for a datasheet or even a pinout?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to enter STOP2 mode with a STM32U575 and exit from it with a LPTIM1 compare match. LPTIM1 is clocked with LSE, so it should be still working in STOP2 mode.Here is part of my code in the main funtion: /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_LPTIM1_Init(); lptim_single(1024); //Around 2s, checked already /* Infinite loop */ while (1) { /* Enter in Stop mode */ /* Set STOP2 mode when CPU enters deep sleep */ LL_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_STOP2_MODE); /* Set SLEEPDEEP bit of Cortex System Control Register */ LL_LPM_EnableDeepSleep(); __WFI(); LL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOH, LL_GPIO_PIN_0); } The function lptim_single:bool lptim_single(int32_t t){ /* Set prescaler */ LL_LPTIM_Enable(LPTIM1); LL_LPTIM_SetAutoReload(LPTIM1, t); LL_LPTIM_OC_SetCompareCH1(LPTIM1, t/2); LL_LPTIM_EnableIT_CC1(LPTIM1); LL_LPTIM_EnableIT_ARRM(LPTIM1); LL_LPTIM_StartCounter(LPTIM1, LL_LPTIM_OPERATING_MODE_O

Hi There,I have a new STM32H747-DISCO here. The board came without the demo flashed on it, also the demo can not be flashed, see here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00002ASl3lSAD/stm32h747-discovery-blankMost of the examples in the cube package concerning the lcd do not work, see here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00002A3uJaSAJ/stm32h747-lcd-display-issueThe BSP example doesn't build, the project import looks wonky, links are incorrect. Some stemwin examples that build will not flash, for example STemWin_acceleration_CM7.As the linked problems have also been posted very recently is there a new revision of this board that is not compatible with the examples?I have tried STMCubeIde 1.11 and 1.12, also tried on windows, linux and even a Mac.Exact same issues on all of them.Anyone any ideas how to progress here as basically very little is working!

I have read the STEF01 datasheet looking for how STEF01 will respond to output short-circuit hard. After reading it I have no clue. What is the reaction time of the fuse to short circuit? Other vendos provide such informations.Second issue is that there is no info about SOA of internal pass element. There are no clues to guess that power limiter will be triggered or not.Other people also asked such questions on this forum, no response so far. Please respond or add missing data to datasheet.

Hi, I have been trying to use P-Nucleo-WB55 project from SBSFU 2.6.2 with SECBOOT_AES128_GCM_AES_128_GCM_AES128_GCM crypto option. I have disabled all security IPs for ease of debugging and have tried with  local loader and no loader configurations. I am using STM32 IDE and following all steps. Infact the SECBOOT_ECCDSA_WITHOUT_ENCRYPT_SHA256 crypto option works for me under same settings. However, I am never able to use this crypto option to successfully decrypt and execute UserApp. Has anyone been able to use this crypto option with P-Nucleo-WB55 project.

I am working on a project where the requirement for the microcontroller is to communicate over the CAN bus. The STM32G0B1KET6 is having FDCAN controller inside. It mentions in the datasheet that "The CAN modules are compliant with ISO 11898-1 (CAN protocol specification version 2.0 part A, B) and CAN FD protocol specification version 1.0".Does it mean it will work with Non-FDCAN devices i.e just the CAN2.0A/B interface? While looking at the other series for STM32 controller, it is clearly mentioned that The CAN peripheral supports CAN protocol version 2.0 A, B Active.

Hello,I have a new PC Windows and and I have this error when I start the software STM32 ST-LINK Utility (file in attachment)It misses dll file (mfc140.dll)And idea please?ThanksArnaud

Hi,I have kit STEVAL-SPIN3201 and now i have a expirience with controling my motor. But i never was able to start board without USB cable. It's seems like board need USB voltage for start microcontroller. So it can not start without USB. But if i then remove the USB, it works. But if i push the RESET button later, it does not work again until restarting kit with USB. So i need understand why it becouse in future i want to design my pcb.

I am using STM32H747i-DISCO board to create multicore MDK-ARM project using STM32cubemx and Cubemx will create the project with both cores under same project file, but when i build that project it will show multiple main file error. How to create a project for individual core separately under same project name as in the STM32cubeIDE.

Hello,I am currently working with the Nucleo-L476RG and the NFC03A1 Nucleo expansion board (CR95HF reader version).I have flashed the X-CUBE-NFC3 embedded software with STM32CubeProgrammer and would like to use the ST25PC-NFC tool to communicate with tags. However, the board isn't recognized by the ST25PC-NFC (error message : NOT CONNECTED)  while I had no trouble to detect it with Cube.- Is it possible to use this board with ST25PC-NFC software ?- Do I need a dedicated firmware ?Thanks in advance !Cordially,Nicolas Meunier.

Hi, I am designing a boost converter based on stw33n60m2, its 2.5kW 420Vout and 250Vin 5 amp Iout. the diode I am using is SIC schottky diode(very less reverse recovary). The issue is that I am facing mosfet failue at around 450v VDS (I dont observe too much overshoots). gate drive voltage is 14Vgs and I am using split resistor for turn on(4.7ohm) and turn off (2.2ohm) .I have made turn on slower and turn off faster. The mosfet just fails even at light load. I have taken care to see that inductor wont saturate. Any help is appreciated.

I'm experimenting with the nucleo-h563zi board again using the examples in CubeIDE and CubeMX but I would like to end up replacing the LED/UserButton application that was originally installed when I received the board.  Can't find it.  Can someone point me in the right direction as to where the original firmware code or binary is located?  I've submitted this question a while back and the solution was to download the original firmware binary using CubeProgrammer.  Unfortunately, it's now too late for that.  This is the firmware where the three LEDs flash in order and the speed of the sequence increases with each push of the User Button. Thanks for the assist.TJM

Hello Everyone!I am working on an application where I have to read the temperature sensor once every minute, and I would like to put the sensor in power down mode when I don't need to read the temperature.Details:1) I am using an STEVAL-MKI190V1 board2) I am measuring the the current on VDD only (VDD_IO is connected directly to 3.3V) with an STLINK-V3PWR board set at 3.3V out, and the STM Cube Monitor Power software.3) I am controlling the eval board via an STM32L011K Nucleo board4) Communicating via SPI, 4 wires, nothing else attached to the eval board (other than power and gnd, of course).5) I am using the MEMS1 drivers6) I've turned off the pull-up resistors on CS and SDO, but that doesn't really matter because I'm measuring the current on VDD only. So I tried to put the sensor in power down mode by writing a 0x00 in the CTRL1 register, to set ODR to power down, MODE to low power and also LP_MODE to LP mode 1, and I was expecting some 50nA of current, but instead I'm measuring

Many ST documents says that FT pins are 5V tolerant only in (Digital) Input mode. They are not 5V tolerant when configured in Analog mode and analog peripheral like ADC or OPAMP is connected to it. But are they 5V (or more precisely Vdda + 3.6V tolerant) when configured in Analog mode, but no peripheral is connected to it?In AN4899, there are many indications that they are, but I did not find it explicitely speficied anywhere. Some paragraphs indicating are:Background:My idea is using STM32L053 powered by 2.0V and I need to measure analog voltage which ranges from 0 - 2.25V when MCU is not powered (VDD=0.0V) and between 2.0 - 5.4V when MCU is powered (VDD=2.0V). For lowering voltage I will use voltage divider which divides voltage by approximately 3. But this voltage divider cause power consumption which is unacceptable in my design. For lowering power consumption as much as possible I need to cut off it for most time. I want to connect it similarly to Figure 14 from AN4899, but instea

Hello everyone, I am in the development phase of a wearbale project including the use of LSM6DSO and LIS2MDL sensors.I found in the datasheets the power consumption related to the two sensors whne powered up at 1.8 V but I didn't find anythong about their current consumption on other VDD. Is there a resuming table that links the sensor's current consumption to their power supply?Thank you!Lorenzo
