Hi,May I kindly clarify whether MKI239A adapter is compatible with MKI109V3 motherboard? From MKI239A's website and Unico's GUI (device selection list), it seems that it is compatible. But from MKI109V3's "Tools&Software" page and UM2116 (Sec.3 - Supported MEMS adapter boards), MKI239A is not shown in the list...I am a bit confused... In my case, when I chose the adapter, an error popped up, saying that "adapter has not been recognised, and the who_am_I register value does not match".This scenario does not change even if I have updated the firmware of the motherboard to the latest (3.58.2) following the user manual UM2116 (2.2.1-2.2.2) of the motherboard, changed into another USB cable, and pushed the adapter into the socket as deep as possible. My Unico is also latest version for windows (9.16).I also measured the voltage between VDD/VDDIO and GND when the adapter is inserted into the socket, and the resulting 1.8V makes sense according to the datasheet&nbsp

Hi, I have a pin labeled "DISABLE_HV" that I want switch between open drain and ground (and vice versa) to switch-off and switch-on a DC-DC converter. How can I implement this functionality in the code using HAL library?

I am using an ST25R95 controlled over SPI by an STM32L452RE MCU. It has been running just fine and reading NFC tags using a custom driver for it, but recently has stopped working. The ST25 chip appears to stop responding to SPI commands after it enters the idle command. Previously, it was able to wake up from idle after being reset and then given an nIRQ_IN pulse. This issue seems to be getting worse, as sometimes the chip doesn't even respond at all now even after being power cycled.Does anyone know why this might be happening? I can't figure out what is wrong. Here is the schematic for our RFID reader, mostly copied from the dev board for this chip.

Hi, I'm using on a STM32L4R9 a LPTimer1 in interrupt mode. If i use it with the PCLK1, HSI or LSI as clocksource it works as expected. It counts to the ARR value and then the interrupt occours. If i use the LSE as clocksource the LPTimer seems only to count to 1 and the interrupt happens way to often (propably also at 1).The LSE is also used for the RTC, which works fine.

Hello community,I face the following problem on my NUCLEO F746ZG board :I want to power up my nucleo from an external source for my application, I have done as the Nucleo-144 manual suggests:Set the power line jumper JP3 to E5V or Vin (tried both)Remove jumper in the PWR_EXT JP1 jumperPlaced 5V on the E5V pin (in case I wanted that source) or placed 8V on the Vin pin ( in case I tried with Vin)Power line is fine and stableNow The application does not start unless I press the reset button on the board, so if I power the board up, the microcontroller does not even turn on an user LED unless I also press the RST button. The firmware runs fine without having to press the reset button only if I power up the usb port of the ST-Link (no debugging needed, just a powered usb)I have tried to pull up the reset pin on the SWDIO connector and this solution works but not always, depends on the firmware it seems, if I have a bootloader or the boot address is modified it does not work!Has anybody exper

I am trying to set up the on-board 512Mb AP PSRAM to have a 1K word linear read burst.Similar to the HSPI demo in the BSP example, I call the function "BSP_HSPI_RAM_Config16BitsOctalRAM(...)"with my configuration set to use a 1K word linear burst. However, the implementation of this function in the file 'stm32u5x9j_discovery_hspi.c' contains this conditional check at the very beginning of the function:  /* Check if the instance is supported */ if ((Instance >= HSPI_RAM_INSTANCES_NUMBER) || (Cfg->BurstLength == APS512XX_BURST_2_KBYTES)) { ret = BSP_ERROR_WRONG_PARAM; } Clearly, this returns an error when     (Cfg->BurstLength == APS512XX_BURST_2_KBYTES) is TRUE. However, the numerical value of APS512XX_BURST_2_KBYTES is 3, which is also the correctvalue to use for the 1K Linear Bust size.  Is this a bug or a limitation in this Component file?

Hi guys, I'm using vl53l7cx without cover glass.I use the Example_1_ranging_basic in VL53LMZ_ULD_API driver, but i alway receive the result with target_status 6 and the  result's distance_mm seem not correct.Eg i put an target about 300mm in front of the sensor and get result as below in resolution 4x4:1168-6, 1348-6, 1302-6, 1243-61213-6, 1371-6, 1330-6, 1249-61240-6, 1381-6, 1332-6, 1253-61215-6, 1360-6, 1317-6, 1248-6So i wonder if i miss any config to get the correct ranging result? Thanks.

Hi all,I'm facing an issue that has already been discussed several times in this and others forum, I attempted all the proposed solutions I could find but without success.I want to read the characters user inputs via Tera Term and store them in a buffer, when 10 characters are entered or user press 'Enter' key, the received characters are sent out to the serial port. This should go on forever, again, after 10 characters or 'Enter' key input from user the received characters are sent out to the serial port.I'm using STM32G070RBTx, STM32CubeIDE v. 1.13.2 , this is my code:   /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file

Hello, I am using the STM32 Cryptolib. I need to get the modulus and exponent of RSA public key from a .pub or .pem files. After decoded from base64 I need to decode the DER format (in ASN.1 format). Has anyone any suggestion of which libray may I use? Cryptolib only accept modulus and exponent has two parameters.

Hi everyone, I checked but I couldn't find anything. Is there any application or demo project for ISOBUS communication on STM32 or demo boards? Thanks,Erdem

Hello everyone. The last time I opened a form related to bit timing, I realized that the problem was in the Canbus transceiver. I added 1-2 revisions and replaced it with the MCP2551 transceiver. Even though there is a device on the other side, I get an acknowledgment error and the logic analyzer is as follows.

The example project shown below builds and downloads successfully and halts at main(). The ST-LINK appears to connect and start successfully. It is when I click on run that the ST-LINK server says "Target is not responding, retrying..."I changed absolutely nothing in the source code or header files. This is happening if I attempt to run and debug immediately after importing the default project. The ST-LINK debugger works with other projects.Shown below is the precise example project I am using: This is the debugger view, with the program halted at main(), right before I click run: Below is the console output after launching the debugger and halting at main():STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. In VL53L5CXV0GC Typical application schematic, The pin RSVD6 must connect a 47 kΩ pullup resistor to IOVDD. If I keep this pin as floating, what will happen? Will power consumption increase? Or is the detection inaccurate?Thany you.

Hi, I have two VL53L5CX and use glass to cover them. We can call them A&B.To A, I use the VL53L5CX_XTalkCalibration   function after init. To B, I do nothing. But result of both are close. Does it mean I can cover the glass without calibration?@John E KVAM, @Anne BIGOT,

I am about to release firmware to production and would like to include the proper options bits in the firmware so that production can simply program the .elf file at the same time as updating the option bits.  I realize that there are several option bits that have to changed on a new MCU before my firmware will work.  But maybe the option bits would automatically get programmed first. What is recommended way to handle initial programming of an MCU?

Hi,first I install the BLENRG_LP Navigator, it generates lots of examples, then I use WiSE studio and open the hello world example, the default ld file is BlueNRG_LPS, but I´m using IDB011V2, which has the SoC BlueNRG_LP chip, then I tried change the target in project settings as in photo:But there is no option for steval-idb011V2 board, and I cannot change the ld file...any help?

Hello,I have the new Nucleo-H743ZI2 board (note the "2" at the end of the board identifier).  I was trying to import some example project for the board using STM32CubeIDE example selector.  However I am stuck.  Completely.  The only examples available are for the earlier board edition (Nucleo-H743ZI). When I try to import such projects, the IDE refuses claiming that the board is obsolete.  When I specify the new Nucleo-H743ZI2 board in the examples Board Selector, there are literally *zero* examples for it.  No other option exist ...Questions:Why aren't the Nucleo-H743ZI examples updated to also be available for Nucleo-H743ZI2?  Where can I import example projects for the new version of the board?  Note, that I am using the latest STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.13.2, and I installed the latest STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H7 series (1.11.0 with 1.11.1 patch).Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone!I need to have several pins acting as ADCs to get data from different analog sensors connected at the same time. In board's datasheet I see that this board has 1 ADC with multiple channels (12 channels to be precise). The problem is that CubeMx provides the following ADC channels (channel - pin):IN0 - PA0IN1 - PA1IN2 - PA2IN3 - PA3IN4 - PA4IN5 - PA5IN6 - PA6IN7 - PA7IN8 - PB0IN9 - PB1IN10 - PC0IN11 - PC1IN12 - PC2IN0, IN4 and IN5 are working perfectly.IN2 and IN3 are used by other components so do not work properly. The rest of the pins are not in the board as you can see here:https://os.mbed.com/platforms/ST-Discovery-LRWAN1/#board-pinoutWhat am I missing?EDIT:Should I use a multiplexer instead of using multiple ADC channels?

I am trying to bring up the STM32U5A9J-DK wherein I can use the external NOR_FLASH over OctoSPI_1 and the external PSRAM over HSPI_1 -- both in memory mapped mode. I am trying to use the STM32CubeMX to generate the drivers but am having some difficulties.I have tried using the 'default' configuration suggested by the CubeMX IDE and have also tried , unsuccessfully, to tweak some of the GPIO setttings. Bottom line, no matter what I do, the IDE always insists that the Data pins in the OCTOSPI1 are in conflict with a whole host of other functions -- But I don't think they are because the Alternate Functions are set up correctly. So why in blazes is the CubeMX saying that there is a conflict? NOTHING MAKES SENSE HERE.I have attached a screenshot of the IDE showing the conflicts. Thanks for any help.I am attaching a screen shot of the IDE where I see the conflict.

Hi,I am using the Stm32f446RC MCU model for a sound application. I am using the X-Cube Audio library (STM32CubeExpansion_Audio_V1.1.1), which claims to support F4 and F7 versions. I want to control the audio levels using the SVC app, but when I call the svc_reset function, I receive an error with code -7 (SDR_BAD_HW). This issue is not limited to this function, as I encounter the same error in other applications as well. Can you assist me in resolving this problem?

Hi,This is my architecture:1 board client.5 board servers. In the client i have:A routine that try to connect, pair and update MTU size of all the servers.A routine that send and receive message from the paired servers.Right now i have some problem because i can't find an explaination of some errors i can observe. Where i can find a detailed description of the error codes returned by the functions that have tBleStatus as return type?In particular:aci_gatt_write_long_char_value return error 70 (decimal) after some working time (40min approximately). I have to disconnect and reconnect all the servers in order to restore the system.aci_gap_create_connection sporadically return the error 46 (decimal). If you have some document where these return values are explained i will be very useful.Thank you in advanceBest regardsLorenzo

Good afternoon, currently I was working on this board, ST25R3916-DISCO kit. From what I read from the forum that most of contents are teaching how to change the Read-Out Protection for the microcontroller chip, such as STM32H7, STM32F2, etc. However, what I'm planning to do is to assign different ST25 tags with different Access level/ Read-Out Protection, so when the reader detects there's a tag, it will show a certain level of information for different tags. For example, when Tag 1 is detected, reader LCD will show UID and Type of tag. When Tag 2 is detected, reader LCD will show UID, Type of tag and Memory Size. Thus, are there any possible ways to achieve changing the the Read-Out Protection for ST25 tags?Take note: I will attach a picture for the ST25_Tags which used for this experiment.

Hi Everyone,I have a trouble issue and tried every solutions but they aren't working. Several times I tried to install stm32 cube ide I selected macos version but It doesn't work on my computer. I gave all permisions(read & write) still taking this problem how can I solve this issue? Thanks for help.Batuhan.

Hello,I hope you are well.Actually I'm using LPS22DF sensor in an environment where there is dust and water. Can you give me some informations and idea on how can I protect the sensor (waterproofing)?Thank you

Hello,Ive designed a PCB with a STUSB4700QTR as a source following the datasheet ref design. The scope was to use the board as a charger with PD.When I plug a USB C phone on my source connector, the board deliver 2.2A at 9V on VBUS and the phone charge. The issue is that when nothing is plugged to the source connector, the voltage on the VBUS is 0V. The default 5V on the output is not present.I measured the voltage between the transistors T2 and T3 and it is around 5V, the T3 block the current (Is open)I also checked other PD source devices and they deliver a default 5V on their ouput even if nothing is connected. Because logicaly if a device is completly depleted, it is not able to communicate via the CC lines until its internal PD IC is on. So for me the STUSB4700 should provide a default 5V.So am I missunderstanding how the IC and the PD should work? Can someone help me please?Thank you :)
