I am working on a custom board design that uses an STM32G474RBT3 to drive the PWM signals to a buck converter and another PWM signal to an inverting buck-boost converter via the HRTIM.  If the PWM signals lock high for more than a few microseconds there will likely be damage to the board.I am using the STLINK-VSET3 to debug and program the MCU.  Most of the time I don't seem to have a problem when reprogramming the MCU to test updated firmware, but every once in a while, I hear a "click".  Most of the time after the click, all seems to be working okay but the MCU begins running at an elevated temperature (40°C to 70°C) and most of the time will eventually fail (a day or two later).Currently, I am not controlling the voltages of the power supplies; I'm just generating a fixed PWM signal open loop to verify that the converters function.  Also, I have not explored setting the PWM signals low in the event of a fault condition (i.e., core lockup, RAM parity error, execut

Hello,I have a 48V motor and would like to evaluate this design using the STEVAL-SPIN3201 which is only rated to 45V.The schematic sort of suggests that if you remove the JP2 jumper you can independently supply VM and VBUS, and VBUS can go to 60 volts due to FET's limit and VM can go to 45V.I removed this jumper and connected 48V to J2 for VBUS, and 24V to J1 for VM.Changed the FW so I don't get overvoltage error and the SPIN32F0 programmed fine. But as soon as I commanded the motor to run the board burned out, appears to have burned at the VM input of the SPIN32F0.Has anyone successfully provided separate VM and VBUS with this EVAL board?Because I am just barely over the rated voltage, and the absolute maximum rating of the SPIN32F0 is actually 48V, I doubt the board burned up because the higher voltage, I suspect the 2 supplies are fighting each other somehow and I did not make all the changes to the board I needed to.I had previously run this motor with this board at 42V fine, so I

Dear Sir or Madam,I'd like to know the part number of MEMS sensors in STmicro from the marking on the chip. How to know the marking "8209/C3H/?BW JZ" ?

Hi, Iam using a STM32G473 controller and want to do the following:I want to output an analog curve, stored in a RAM buffer.Timer6 is the timebase for transfering the the data from RAM buffer to DAC via DMA.So I selected the DAC as trigger source for the DMA: DMAMUX1_Channel0->CCR = (DMAMUX1_Channel0->CCR & ~DMAMUX_CxCR_DMAREQ_ID_Msk) | (41 << DMAMUX_CxCR_DMAREQ_ID_Pos); //Select ID 41 (DAC2_CH1) I configured the Timer (using TIM6): //Timer runs with 84 MHz --> auto reload 84 results in Update Event each 1 us (1MHz) tim.ARR = 84; tim.CR2 |= TIM_CR2_MMS_1; //The update event is selected as a trigger output configured the DAC (using DAC2, OUT1): dac.MCR = (dac.MCR & ~DAC_MCR_MODE1_Msk) | (2 << DAC_MCR_MODE1_Pos); //set channel 1 to mode 2: connected to external pin, without buffer dac.CR = (dac.CR & ~DAC_CR_TSEL1_Msk) | (7 << DAC_CR_TSEL1_Pos); //select triggersource 7 for channel 1 as trigger source (=TIM6) dac.CR |= DA

Hi, i need help with the integration between NUCLEO-L4T5ZI and X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 board. What I tried is:Create a project using STM32CubeIDE. Choose X-CUBE-NFC in the Middleware and Software Packs and update the configuration.Enabled SPI1 Update the PIN assignment Use the automatic code generation feature to generate the codethe attachment is the .ioc file with the above settings Google Drive link I found that after the code generation didnt generate the "rfal_utils.h" file, the X-CUBE-NFC is version 3.0.0 downloaded in the STM32CubeIDE MCU Embedded Software Packages Manager. So I copy the "rfal_utils.h" file from the ST X-CUBE-NFC6 download link  After copying the "rfal_utils.h" to the project, the project can be built successfully but the demo project not running successfully on the hardware. I probed the MISO/MOSI PIN with an oscilloscope and found no signal. This is my project file -> Google Drive linkCan anyone guide me? I'm a

Hey there, We have a product that features one PCB that embeds the ST25R3911B with a custom NFC antenna, acting as a reader (initiator mode). For the CE certification process we are currently pursuing for our product, the certifying body required to perform RF testing for NFC as well. They suggested to have a look at the product page looking for a testing firmware similar to what we could find for BLE RF testing with the BLUENRG-LP. Unfortunately, we could not find any such thing. It would very nice if someone could with any of the following questions:Is there any testing firmware/software or some guidelines to perform RF testing for NFC communication with the ST25R3911B?Has someone already performed RF testing for CE certification of an NFC initiator, i.e. the ST25R3911B?Are there some guidelines for writing such a RF testing firmware? We already opened a support ticket, and they suggested us to post in the Community forum, so here we are... Any feedback would be of grea

I am using lsm6dso32x.An5629 Datasheet Section 8 FSM Configuration Example implemented only Accelerometer.I don't understand. It seems that you did not set what data(gyro or accel) you use with FSM, but I don't understand how it was used as an Accelerometer. How do I use it as a gyroscope? Also, Can you tell me specifically how to create the Threshold? I don't quite understand.Thank you

I communicate with a VL53L1X-SATEL over I2C from a PSoC 5LP as I2C-master. The sensor as I2C-slave acknowledes commands as expected, but each register I try to read returns 0x00. I tried a for loop to read every register from 0 counting up, but the sensor always return 0x00. What could be a reason for such a behaviour? Please see the scope view of a read sequence to register 0x83.

Dear ST Community membersI am currently designing a PCB and utilizing the STM32G473VET6 MCU. I have noticed that there are several unused pins. Should I leave these pins unconnected or is there a recommended course of action for dealing with them?thanks and regardsNeeraj

Hi all,I setup DMA normal mode, on RS485 port where I receive more or less 1 byte per second. Also, I have DMA normal mode on a debug serial port.I want to send back on rs485 the characters I receive on that port. What I observe is that if I add the following printf(), that redirects output to debug UART, in HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback()printf( "errCode=%i\r\n", retCode );everyting works fine, with TeraTerm software, I can see the characters I input in RS485 window displayed correctly.BUT, if I remove the printf(), when I press keys in rs485 window the cursor only moves one space to the right not showing any character. Also, if I set a breakpoint at the begiining of HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(), it only gets called once on the first character I type in rs485 putty window and the sending back of the character received is ok, but then on subsequent pressing of keys HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback() is never called and nothing is shown in TeraTerm window.I'm using STM32G070RBTx, STM32CubeIDE v. 1.

Hi, Please provide park date code clarification of "D231". Part Code:LPS22HHTR Thanks, Arun

I am currently developing the firmware for a project.  I have two boards, running identical firmware but the operating temperature between the MCUs on the boards has about a 10°C difference, 43°C vs 53°C (confirmed with a thermal camera). We have more boards, but before I go too far with this, I was hoping to get some input from someone on what to expect.  I checked the power supply voltage on both boards and it is identical at 3.40V.The STM32G474 is running at 144MHz with 230.4kBd continuous serial communications.  There are two DSMPS power supplies each using one HRTIM PWM signal from the MCU, switching at 200kHz.There are 9 ADC channels being monitored continuously.  The average main loop execution time it 39us with a worst case of 83us.Any thoughts?

May i know what is the part number for this parts.

Can any one suggest ,1. Which static code analysis tool can be used  by STM32CUBE ide?2. The code analysis that is already available in the CubeIDE can be used to generate the Static analysis report?   Thanks in Advance.

Hi,I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.4.0 to build an application (BLE Hid) for the P-Nucleo-WB55 board. It's looking for an include file stm32wb55xx.h which is missing. Any idea where to find this file? Thanks,Jim

I have an app running on an STM32F373 and need to save 'presets' as persistent non-volatile data.  Each preset is 500bytes and I would like to save at least 100 presets. What is the simplest method?  Should I use a removable SD card type solution, or is there non-volatile memory I can use which will take enough 'read-write' cycles to be used to save presets?  I guess having a removable SD card solution would have some benefits, like using json file format so presets can be created outside the uC.Thank you,

I'm successfully using vn5e160str's to drive some high current outputs, but it would be useful if I could multi-purpose these outputs to support high frequency PWM. The vn5e160str seems to max out at about 50kHz, and I need a stable 800kHz.The PWMd load is of course only CMOS level voltages/currents but I'm trying to avoid having separate output connectors for high current and pwm modes so a single device/circuitry would be idea. Can anyone recommend a suitable similar component that can facilitate this? Cheers

Hello , I have initialized two timers , Timer3 and Timer9. Im using Timer9 with 137uS period , setting my gpio pin high , starting Tim3 Interrupt with 54uS period for now .When Tim3 Interrupt occurs I simply reset my gpio pin.My problem is that I should have a high pwm for 54uS and 137uS pwm in reset state.I have thoroughly checked individual timers to just toggle single gpio in 1 single interrupt , both give me a stable 137uS pwm and 54uS pwm . But as i use two different gpio's to set and reset my gpio. I get irregular pwm that has values randomly changing. My pwm will have a constant 137uS low and a variable high pwm state which is Max 122uS for now as I said its just fixed 54uS so I also did not enable autoload preload .This is the first time I'm doing it this way.My Code :Timer Setting : void MX_TIM3_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 0 */ TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig =

I used the lsm6dso32x_read_data_polling example and got the same result as above.(with SPI)Is this the correct value? And when I checked the values using Unico GUI tool, I got the same values as above.Although the values are similar to the example, they are slightly different. So I'm a little confused. Is this okay?Thank you.

Hello,I'm using the Nucleo-WL55CJ kit to test the Lora connectivity with TTN server. At first, all worked fine and I received my data, but now the kit is unable to join the networt with the following error "DevNonce is too small".Any idea? Thanks.

Hello there!I've been trying to make the Lora-FOTA example portable by converting the include paths, resource links, linker path and pre/postbuild files to be "project related paths" instead of absolute paths.Everything worked out very well with kms_blob and secore projects. I've been getting an issue with bfu project build.I'm getting this error when I'm trying to compile the project after I've updated all the above mentioned paths.1. I have moved the SECoreBin project 1 dir back.2. I have renamed the build output from "Debug" to "BUILD_debug"3. I have compiled first the kms_blob then the secorebin and lastly the bfu project (which ends up in error)4. Other two builds are successfull with no errors. Is there anything missing ?1. I'm suspecting workspace related issues (even I don't see any workspace relation in all the paths or in the .cproject or in .project files2. Is there fixed locations regarding the assember for this project ?! Am I going nuts ?! Kind regards,Kyf
