Hello.I am creating my own board with an STM32, and would like to also include my own custom ST LINK V3 on the board itself. Is it possible to get your hands on the firmware for ST-LINK V3? I have seen some unofficial attempts, like this: https://hackaday.io/project/179054-custom-st-link-v20-v21-v30https://embedblog.eu/?p=780But I would like to know if there's any way one can get the official firmware from ST.Edit: As some of you pointed out, there's no need to include the programmer on the actual board unless you're doing a development board, intended to be reprogrammed by the user. A development board is actually exactly what I'm intending on designing, so that's the reason why I want to include the programmer on the board ;)Regards,Daniel

STM32G431K8 SVD file seems wrong. Reference manual (RM0440, February 2024 RM0440 Rev 8) show EXTI->PR1 bits PIF29,PIF30,PIF31 (Comparator 3,4,5 outputs). Fresch SVD file (STM32G4 SVD V2.2) missing these bits.

Hello,I need to and a FOTA to my application.I will receive the firmware with BLE and store it on M95P32 EEPROM. Then i need to load it on the mcu (STM32WL).I cannot find any example or resources that explain how can i  load a firmware from M95P32 EEPROM.I will use also another part from the EPPROM to log some data, How can i manage the EEPROME to reserve a section for the firmware and an other section for datalog ?Thank you,Sincerely.

Hello,My BlueNRG-2 disconnect automatically during the data transfer for OTA.otherwise (on normal use) the connection is maintain for more than hour. how can i know the disconnection reason of my BlueNRG device ?Or if i is a common problem, how can i resolve it ?Than you,Sincerely.

Dear Members,How do I get the STM32F103C8T6 to read the 1Hz frequency correctly on TIM3?I set HCLK in the program at 72Mhz, and the frequency that can be read is only up to 1KHz. How do you get the 1Hz frequency to be read? this is the program:/* USER CODE BEGIN Header *//********************************************************************************* @file : main.c* @brief : Main program body******************************************************************************* @attention** Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics.* All rights reserved.** This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file* in the root directory of this software component.* If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS.********************************************************************************//* USER CODE END Header *//* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/#include "main.h"#include "stdio.h"/* Private includes ------

Why is it a voltage divider as configuration for the USB2514B in STM32MP157 devkit?I can see in the data sheet that there are two bus configurations abilities.I2C EEPROMSMBusI don't know which one should be used. Let's look at the data sheet. This explains that the pins CFG_SEL[0] and CFG_SEL[1] needs to be low or high before the pin RESET_N goes low.And the reset can be done through the USB differential lines.I don't understand this construction. I know that I2C should have a pull-up resistor of 4.7 kOhm, but here we have a 100 kOhm on both GND and 3V3, which makes this a voltage divider. And the data sheet says that 10 kOhm should be the value for pull-up resistors.Question:What is the right configuration here if I want to connect my USB hub to my I2C1 ? I'm using I2C1 instead of I2C4 because the HDMI transmitter and PMIC are sharing the I2C4 bus. The reson is that I think this USB hub might use SMBus and PMIC must use I2C4 according to AN5031, so I2C1 must be unique for one

Model No. VND5T100AJTR-E, Brand No. STM, what do the silk-screened ‘G’ and ‘E’ on the material body mean? I didn't find the relevant description in the specification, please help me to answer, thank you! *This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community guidelines.

This is more an experience report.I want to get audio from an INput source and forward to an OUTput sink. And both should stay in sync "forever" (I do not want to have a clock drift, I do not want to have the condition to skip a sample or to add one, just because of a slightly different timing (different clock frequencies)).My use case:STM32U5A5 with ADF for a PDM MIC as INput and SAI2 as SPDIF OUTput.I use 48KHz audio Fs (PDM MIC is with decimation 64, so 3.072 MHz PDM MIC clock).ADF runs in DMA mode (cyclic double buffer) but SPDIF (SAI2) runs in INT mode (single buffer). This means: the ADF fills seamlessly the result buffer, without any software overhead, but the SAI2 as SPDIF out needs all the time periodic interrupts and the callback called and restarting the next INT.Example:void HAL_SAI_TxCpltCallback(SAI_HandleTypeDef *hsai) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5); if (hsai->Instance == SAI2_Block_B) { #ifdef SPDIF_TEST extern int32_t SPDIF_out_test[2 * 192]; HAL

Using STM32U5A5 MCU and adding the ADF example (taken from en.stm32cubeu5-v1-4-0\STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.4.0\Projects\STM32U575I-EV\Examples\MDF\ADF_AudioRecorder) seems to work.I have changed to use the PLL3 and setup 3,072MHz as PDM MIC CLK (for 48KHz sample rate, with decimation 64). Also this works (I see the correct PDM CLK on pin and also the data in buffer ADF filtering done looks reasonable).I have two major questions:Is my understanding right, as:There is just one ADF (not two). And using it for PDM MICs via MDF_SITF_NORMAL_SPI_MODE allows me just to connect/use one MIC?It means: I can select the clock edge, e.g. via MDF_BITSTREAM0_RISING (for left or right PDM MIC), butdue to the fact that just ONE ADF is available - PDM MIC can work only in Mono mode (what I see in buffer as filter results, a MONO signal stream of PCM values)So, is ADF for PDM MIC always and just MONO? (just one ADF available)(just possible to select if the Left or the Right one should be processed

I am developing a product using the STM32F412REFxLQFP64 chip, and I want to implement multi-PWM control. For TIM2 buzzer control: TIM_HandleTypeDef TIM2 PB10 ------> TIM2_CH3 TIM3 is used to generate a 1kHz waveform: TIM_HandleTypeDef TIM3 Channel 4 PB1 ------> TIM3_CH4void buzzerInit(void) { Buzzer_InitTypeDef buzzerConfig; buzzerConfig.channel = TIM_CHANNEL_3; buzzerConfig.timer = &htim2; buzzerConfig.timerClockFreqHz = HAL_RCC_GetPCLK2Freq(); // NOTE: this should be freq of timer, not frequency of peripheral clock hbuzzer.Init = buzzerConfig; } void buzzer(BUZZER_StateTypeDef mode){ buzzerStart(&hbuzzer); size_t songSize; switch(mode){ case BUZZER_REGISTER:{ songSize = sizeof(buzzer_register_theme) / sizeof(buzzer_register_theme[0]); for (size_t i = 0; i < songSize; i++) { buzzerNote(&hbuzzer, buzzer_register_theme[i].pitch); HAL_Delay(buzzer_register_theme[i].duration * 15); } break; } case BUZZER_START:{ songSize

hello.I am using bta16-800-bw for 400v 3 phase motor phase control. In triac control, the optocoupler frequently fails in the circuit below. For couplers, use moc3071sm, il4208-x007, etc. Please see photos for symptoms.I'm thinking of changing to BTA16-800CW.I'm asking for advice.and!bta16-800-bw Snubless type.Should I install another snubber circuit like the circuit?Or is it okay not to use a snubber circuit in the triac?C14, C15, R8, and R9 you pointed out are snubber circuits, and C is the X-cap.There were cases where this snubber resistor was damaged or burned.I would like to ask for advice on two phenomena. The picture on the oscilloscope shows line T + fan W of the circuit tested with a differential probe.

I'm a new user working with a Nucleo F103RB board, and it suddenly stopped working. I can't program, debug, perform a chip erase, or access any sector. It began showing vFlash errors and is now stuck in a lockup stage. I've attempted to upload a different project with no success, and I've also tried a full chip erase, which failed. Additionally, it has entered read protection mode, preventing me from reprogramming the RDP using any other IDE or programmer utility. When i try to change the RDP in cube programmer it shows a error cant read data and the board disconnects itself. Is it a hardware problem? If so I could solder a new microcontroler in the nucleo.

Hello,  I tried to use a J-Trace to program an STM32U5G9J-DK1.  This J-Trace Pro works well on other projects.  I also tried a J-link and it shows the same issue. While, of course, STLink3 via the same connector works well.  After I look into the J-link log file, the J-link driver in the latest 1.5.1 IDE is still V7.94h.  Even my PC has the latest j-link v7.96g, the IDE will not automatically upgrade.  The J-link release notes shows the STM32U5G9 was supported since v7.94m.  I feel that could be the reason why the IDE doesn't recognize the DK.    I overwrote the bin folder (C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.15.1\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.jlink.win32_2.2.200.202402092224\tools) by the the entire v7.96g J-link folder.  The the IDE showed the v7.96g was loaded, but it pops a different error.    Is there a correct way I can manually upgrade the J-link driver embedded in the IDE? Both j

Good dayI am using the STM32WL55 chip for a project. I did preliminary tests using the NUCLEO-WL55JC2 Development board.I created a custom PCB following the design of the Development board. When I program the custom board with the same firmware that works on the development kit I do not get any output on either the RFO_HP pin or the RFO_LP pin.On the Custom board I have a crystal and not a TXCO. Can that configuration have a impact? On the Custom board:VDDRF = 3.3V, VDDPA = 3.3V ( I need the high power output)VLXSMPS = 1.5V,Is there someone that can suggest  checks to do  to find the fault?

Hello folks,i am exploring the x-cube-sbsfu project and have 2 questions:Question 1:why is the SeCoreBin built separately and then later integrated to SBSFU? What is the motivation behind that?I was thinking about putting SeCoreBin and SBSFU in one project and building it once.Question 2:When using MPU protection instead of the firewall protection why do we need a single entry call gate?if i understand it right, the call gate is only used to prevent calling secure engine functions directly. But when protecting secure engine funtions using the mpu what would be the security issue if an unprivileged code part first acquires privileges and then calls secure engine functions directly without passing by the single entry call gate@Jocelyn RICARD, @Fred

Hi,  I want to know the shock survivability of the pressure sensor LPS27HHTW but I didn't find it in datasheet or application notes.Do you know an application note or data about its shock resistance Thanks for your help

I have 2 devices on my SPI bus that need different CPOL settings. both use CPHA = 0 and the SPI peripheral is configured to use Motorola frame format.Communication works with both devices if their respective CPOL setting is set in CubeMX (and thus fixed at compile time), but I need to switch CPOL at runtime, so I tried to set and clear the CPOL bit in SPI CR1 before the transmission: SET_BIT(hspi_->Instance->CR1, SPI_CR1_CPOL); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(DAC_CS_GPIO_Port, DAC_CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_StatusTypeDef status = HAL_SPI_Transmit(hspi_, buf, sizeof(buf) / sizeof(buf[0]), 1000); //single byte if (status == HAL_OK) status = HAL_SPI_Transmit(hspi_, parameters, length, 1000); //multiple bytesCLEAR_BIT(hspi_->Instance->CR1, SPI_CR1_CPOL); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LCD_CS_GPIO_Port, LCD_CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); //...  this works to change CPOL to what the devices need, but whenever CPOL changes, the first byte transmitted is 0x00 and only 7 clock pulses are generat

Hi all! This is my first post in the community.Me and my colleagues are designing a System on Module powered by the STM32H735IG MCU.We are trying to discover how to connect multiple HyperRAM modules to a single OCTOSPI interface in Memory Mapped mode. For doing this, we need to use several Chip Select (CS) pins in order to specify the HyperRAM chip. However, the OCTOSPI interface seems to only provide a single CS pin.Is possible to configure the OCTOSPI interface to use more than one chip select? If not possible, how can we connect several HyperRAM modules to the STM32H735? Thanks in advance. Regards,Manuel

Hey there,i'm trying to get a higher Baudrate for UART on the SPC582B. The datasheet says that i have to set the oversampling rate to 6, to get a maximum Baudrate of 13.33.to set the Oversampling i should set the bits in the UARTCR register, for CSP, OSR and ROSE. The thing is, by the low level functions, i can just only write in the Bits 16 to 31.i have found the true registers for it, it is in the spc582b.h, but as i said the low level functions doesn't use it. therefore should i initialize the UART bus on a different way to use it, that the low level functions are using the normal 32bit registers ?these are the normal ones

Does anyone have experience with Etherner/IP on STM32? (STM MCU or MPU are just fine)We are looking for Ethernet/IP example on STM32 but seems not found any thing yet.All we found are just : I-NUCLEO-NETX - netSHIELD industrial ethernet protocols expansion board for STM32 Nucleo - STMicroelectronicsand Port Ethernet/IP - EtherNet/IP protocol stack/lib.or compliant coms - STMicroelectronicsBut that is it. No more useful information to start a demo project. Thank you in advance,

Hello, is there a possibility to apply TraceX to a ThreadX project using MP135? I could follow some tutorials and include the necessary TraceX functions, but I can't generate a .trx file. The option is simply not available in the CubeIDE. Would you have any suggestions? Best,J. Schneider

Hello everyone, I am configuring an STM32F401RE and its RTC on the STM32CubeIDE softwareI've written an program that debug without errors. But ErrorHandler() is called during the RCC Oscillators initialization (during the "SystemClock_Config(void)" process). I think i'have followed the steps and the right parameters, but would you have a clue of where could it be from ? Let me know if you need additional pictores of the system configuration of the .ioc file maybe      /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators according to the specified parameters * in the RCC_OscInitTypeDef structure. */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI|RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_LSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.LSEState = RCC_LSE_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.P

I am developing an TCP/IP Server Client application on my NUCLEO-F207ZG  development board.I am implementing a function to send ADC values on Ethernet.void Client_Data_Send(void){char temp_buff[TEMP_BUFF_SIZE];volatile uint32_t buff_len;volatile uint16_t Temperature = 0;struct pbuf *p = NULL;Temperature = TEMP;buff_len = sprintf(temp_buff,"DHT11 Sensor value from TCP Client : %u \n\r",Temperature);/*allocate pbuf from ram*/p = (pbuf_alloc(PBUF_TRANSPORT,buff_len,PBUF_POOL));(tcp_client->p)= (p);if(tcp_client->p != NULL){/*copy the data to send into the allocated pbuf*/pbuf_take( tcp_client->p ,(char *)temp_buff,buff_len);/*send data*/tcp_client_send(tx_pcb, tcp_client);/*free mem*/pbuf_free( tcp_client->p);}}Above is the function I implemented. At line (tcp_client->p)= (p); when I debuged I came to know that values are not getting assinged.Below are the screen shot.  since wrong values for all members getting assigned I am facing Hard fault issue. Hello,I'm trying to generate continous stream of random bits on SPI MOSI (for eye pattern analysis).I'm making tests with 2 byte sequences.I'm starting DMA transfer with :  HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&hspi2, &spi_outdata, 2);  in the HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback I start another SPI transfer. I notice few tenths (cca. 60) of microseconds gaps on clock and data signals on SPI MOSI output. Is there any way to achieve continuous clock and data signals on SPI ?If I try to send on Half Callback, DMA is busy - it doesn't send. Can I somehow only add to output buffer on half-complete callback or any other solution? Thanks in advance, regards.
