Hi, I am new to I2S protocol, this is the first time I am working on this, I’m sorry if my question sounds trivial. I am trying to interface the RAK3172 module (STM32WLE5CC is inside) with the NAU88L25YGB audio codec from Nuvoton, the audio codec has ADCOUT and DACIN that as per the given reference design should connect to I2S_DI and I2S_DO of a MCU respectively. STM32WLE5CC/RAK3172 only has I2S2_SD pins, no separate DI and DO pins. Following is the wiring between RAK3172(STM32WLE5CC) and NAU88L25YGB. RAK3172(STM32WLE5CC) NAU88L25YGB PA3 CODEC_I2S2_MCK/MCLK PA8 CODEC_I2S2_CK/BCLK PA9 CODEC_I2S2_WS/LRCK PA10 CODEC_I2S2_SD/DI/DO (??)   How can I tackle missing I2S's DI and DO pins of STM32WLE5CC? Thanks in advance for any help. -Anesh

I have TIM20 configured in reset mode with CH1 as the trigger. I want an interrupt to run if the counter reaches a certain value. I’m using CubeIDE with CH2 configured with Output Compare no Output and the pulse duration set to the desired compare value. None of the other channels are used. I haven't used output compare features before and I'm likely missing something simple.I’m not seeing the interrupt run. I can see an input square wave on my scope. If dump TIM20->CNT to the DAC I can see it count up and reset on the edges as expected. The ramp crosses the capture compare value, so I know the value is being hit, but I don't see the interrupt trigger. When using Cube Programmer to read the registers:I see TIM20-> DIER  CC2IE bit is set.I see TIM20->SR CC2IF set to 0 and all the other CCxIF bits set to 1. I clear CC2IF in the interrupt so it makes sense its clear, but why would the others be set? I start TIM20 with the following lines:HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&

Hi all, I am trying to display output through uart in a terminal doing every step of the following tutorial:How to redirect the printf function to a UART for ... - STMicroelectronics CommunityHowever i still do not receive any terminal output using the NUCLEO-C031C6... I changed the UART2 from the tutorial to the corresponding UART1 of the NUCLEO Board and building and running the project works without issues! However, still no display on Serial Terminal.David

Hi,I am doing feasibility on SBSFU bootloader on STM32H753ZI. Currently in our firmware we are planning to have a custom bootloader based on SBSFU for secure boot and update. But I came across SFI feature from ST to ensure protection at the manufacturing end.1. Is it possible to use SFI package if we are using SBSFU as bootloader? Because I found SFI uses RSS bootloader(system bootloader) whereas SBSU is loaded from flash.2. Is it mandatory to have an external flash if we want to use SFI, Can it work with just internal flash?I am relatively new to this area. Kindly provide support.

Initially Iam flash 2 binary files to STM32WB5MMG (stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin & stm32wb5x_BLW_Stack_full_fw.bin ) in that case p2p Server works with ST BLE Toolbox in mobile but in my project p2p Client as another MCU.p2p Client not working well its cannot detect p2p Server and not showed in ST BLE Toolbox.I have doubt regarding p2pclient has any binary file need to flash? In my code while debug Scan_Request and Connect_Request function calls are not entered.Kindly help to guide how to work with p2p Server and p2p Client.

Hello guys,I am having problems setting the correct I2C clock on the STM32G4xx in Master Mode. The example configuration from the data sheet for 400 kHz at 16 MHz f_I2CCLK generates 432 kHz (RM0440-Rev4: P1892 Table 381). I use the __LL_I2C_CONVERT_TIMINGS() function, to convert the values from Datasheet. An unchanged example from the CubeIDE also generates an incorrect frequency on my Nucleoboard. (CubeIDE version 1.15.0)By trial and error I have now managed to generate almost exactly 400 kHz. In the TIMINGR I write 0x00100716, analogfilter enabled and digitalfilter disabled. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this number with the information in the data sheet. So I can't get through the code review.I was able to find a configuration tool for other controllers, is there such a tool for the STM32G4xx?Can someone please help me to calculate the I2C timing correctly and comprehensibly?

I use a STM32L412 on a custom board. I have a programing script for our production which calls STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe for downloading a hex file and also some parameters to program the option bytes:STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD freq=24000 mode=PowerDown -d example.hex -v -ob SRAM2_PE=0 SRAM2_RST=0 BOR_LEV=1 WRP1A_STRT=0x0 WRP1A_END=0x3d RDP=0xBB -ob displ -rst -scoreEverything works fine, the option bytes are shown correctly, but at the end it says:MCU Reset   Software reset is performed Core is locked upThe device is dead. Only a power cycle helps to come out of this. Has anybody an idea, what I am doing wrong here? I already tried some different reset or run commands, but nothing helps. The device stays locked. I guess, the problem is with setting the read out protection. I tried to set the option bytes in the firmware at startup, when I set the OBL_LAUNCH bit, I also get a lock or the system seems to boot in the system memory, because the PC register is something like

Further to this earlier post, any chance now is a BMA400 SPI library already ported to STM32CubeIDE?Many thanks

At my company were are utilizing several STM2F767 and STM32L4P5 devices within a complex embedded product. Our firmware environment is fairly complex with an RTOS and a lot of peripherals activated and IRQ handling going on during operation. We wish to take advantage of the read-while-write (RWW) functionality of the dual-bank flash architecture in these devices for firmware upgrades.  Although the details of how bank swapping is different between the F767 and L4P5 devices, our general strategy of running in one bank without bus stalls while programming the other should work according to the documentation. This strategy seems to work find for the L4P5 devices, but I'm running into problems with the F767 devices. On the F767, with the firmware running entirely in bank 1, and performing a mass erase on bank 2, I'm getting bus stalls that block operation of the firmware at random times during the mass erasure.  This seems counter to the documentation in the F767 reference ma

I am working with H747-DISCO (dual core) board and the issue is that I cannot choose the specific core which touchgfx runs on. It works well on M7 core but I need to use other software packs such as cube-ai on M7. So is it possible to manually switch to M4 core?

Hi,Currently I'm using touchgfx for designing screens for my Monochrome LCD (doesn't support Touch functionality). I'm using scroll list feature for displaying multiple items in one screen and use external button to scroll through them. Currently I should have scrolling of elements inside scroll list. Which feature can I use to get this? For Example(below image), in below image Text1 and its corresponding Val1, Text2-Val2 and when user selects Enum1, I want a new scroll list to display EVal1, EVal2, EVal3 and Eval4. For displaying in same window for its enums which feature shall I use? Thanks,Bhavya

I had different versions of TouchGFX and when I downloaded 4.21.4 version it does not show demos. What can I do?

This is regarding the issue I am currently handling. I am using STM3240G evaluation board to run a Modbus server having a TCP Raw socket-based echo server interface which receives Modbus request packets, sent from ModScan32 tool.                                                                                                                                                                The request packet is received without any errors on port 502, by the Modbus server running on the evaluation board. I am building a response Modbus packet as an array of unsigned char type, and type casting it

Hello ST experts and everyone, I am a beginner on using the STM32WLE5CC series and need some support. Currently, I have assigned to carry out verification test of STM32WLE5CC series on LORA Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and successfully set up a test system on detecting the LORA RSSI value through firmware. However, with the requirement of resource to support my test system, LORA Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) accuracy (+/- ? dBm) (on receiver side) is important to verify my test system on detecting the LORA RSSI value through firmware. Therefore, I would like to ask any information or other references on it.  Would apologise that I could not provide the full design of my test system due to policy and greatly appreciate to have any support or opinion on my inquiry. Thanks. Best Regards, Jack

I'm working with the WB55 Nucleo Transparent Mode projectIs there a simple way of changing the interface in an MXCUBE project from USART1 to LPUART1?

Hi Folks, I'm fancy of the STM32WL33. But it is yet not supported in the STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1. Is there an Add-On or when will it be supported? Thanks in advance

Hi all,I'd like to know if is ti possible to have multiple callback for interrupt. Beceause with HAL and CubeMX if I have multiple interrupt, I have only one function for callbackHAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandlerexample in stm32f4xx_it.c :  void EXTI0_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI0_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI0_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(B1_Pin); /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI0_IRQn 1 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI0_IRQn 1 */ } /** * @brief This function handles EXTI line4 interrupt. */ void EXTI4_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI4_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(RFM_INT_Pin); /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_IRQn 1 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI4_IRQn 1 */ }  So if I want to have specific callback for EXTI4 there is a solution from CubeMx or not ?Maybe :void EXTI4_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI4_IRQn 0 */ My_callback(RFM_INT_Pin); return; /* USER CODE END EXTI4_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(RFM

Hello,I have a general question to the pin mapping and registers for the H723ZG. Where can I find the register name or register ID of e.g. the GPIO PA4? I expect something like 0000x000 or similar.I have searched for this in the DB3171 Data Brief, in the RM0468 Reference Manual and in the UM2407 User Manual (with pin-out), but this GPIO and other aren't even mentioned in the manual...So how do I access these functions, if I can't find the register numbers?Thank you Kind regards

Hi, I was trying to have microSD logging with F439 Nucleo. I can't see example with mentioned board. Please let me know:1. example for mentioned board to log data in microSD2. I tried configuring SD-4 bit, but couldn't identify the pins intialized in generated code (in MX pins used were visible)3. Tried importing F413 Nucleo e.g., but couldn't identify pins configured and wasn't able to change MCU to F439.Please guide.

Hello good day,I am using the STM32H755 Nucleo board. In the UART module, how are the FIFOs managed? According to the datasheet, there is one TX FIFO and one RX FIFO.What is the actual depth of these FIFO?

Suppose we have 50 different screen in a program. For the following modes, I have to show information to the user in a Modal window in the same screen we are in.For example, USB connection - correct storage of information in the memory - temperature crossing a certain range and...If I use Modal Window, I have to add it in all these 50 pages.:\ Is it possible to define a common Modal window for all screen?so that it can be called and shown in all of these 50 screen.

Hi,I need to prepare three modes for the certification testing.1) Always transmit modulated2) Always transmit unmodulated3) Always in receive mode. For no 1, I think I can just set the protocol as an example ISO14443 / ISO15693 then read tag, right? But I have no idea for no 2 and 3. Please help if ST25R95 is able to do it.If there is example code will be much appreciated. Thanks & Best Regards,Rezan

Hi,HAL and LL DAC configuration structure and its parameters naming can be confusing. Reference manual claims that DAC "mode" (register ADC->MCR, bits 0..2 or 16..17) can be in one of following four combinations when not used sample and hold mode: 0 -> DAC channel2 is connected to external pin with Buffer enabled1 -> DAC channel2 is connected to external pin and to on chip peripherals with buffer enabled2 -> DAC channel2 is connected to external pin with buffer disabled3 -> DAC channel2 is connected to on chip peripherals with Buffer disabledThese combinations coherent but HAL DAC init struct offers up to six conbinations (Enable/Disable buffer times Internal/External/both connections). Some of them are not accesible. I've listed following configurations:a) - OKDAC_OutputBuffer = DAC_OUTPUTBUFFER_ENABLE;DAC_ConnectOnChipPeripheral = DAC_CHIPCONNECT_EXTERNAL;Resulting configuration: 0 -> DAC channel2 is connected to external pin with Buffer enabledb) - MisleadingDAC_Ou

Hi,my name is Mario and i have some troubles while debugging a program for the STEVAL-IDB008V1M eval board. ConfigurationSTEVAL-IDB008V1M evaluation boardAtollic TrueSTUDIO Version: 9.3.0In the Atollic IDE, I installed the ST-Link Utility.I compiled the original example "BLE Remote Control" (provided with STEVAL-IDB008V1M board) by means of  Atollic.I found on the net the followinf piece of advice:----It will force BlueNRG-2 DIO7 to "1" before doing a reset so that BlueNRG-2 will remain in bootloader. When trying to flash from any IDEs, you must force DIO7 to "1" before doing a HW reset or a power on / power off.----and I applied it. RESULTSIn the above conditions, the debug results are null and disappointing:for few seconds the connection with debugger seems working but it diseppears quickly: the debug process is not able to start. This is the message I got on the consoleSTMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server.
