I am trying to create a voltage divider to read a battery voltage of 2.5 - 3.8 V using a STM32L082KZ with a Vref of 1.8V. While calculating the required division to measure the range i wanted to include the influence the ADC measurement/loading has on my division but am unable to find a specification that shows this value. My question is, how high is the ADC resistance loading? I can see it is a SAR ADC so i would expect only parasitic resistance, but is this in the order of tens of kilo ohms or mega ohms?

Hi,Recently I had to replace the MCU in a device and I tried to upload the code using USB Bootloader, as it is available and requires very little stuff when you're on site. So, the MCU has been detected in the system (see PIC1.png), but the CubeProgrammer (v 2.5.0) could not properly connect to it via USB. Properly means that I'd get an accesss to anything - after a connection try, it changed state to connected, but the MCU ID, flash size etc are not shown, while they should be (see PIC2.png). Luckily I managed to connect using ST-Link (see PIC3.png) and the situation is partially resolved. The application does not use USB so I cannot do a fast check if the USB peripheral even works properly. What I noted is that the MCU revision is 2.0, while in the other device (which normally connects via USB) it is Z. Can this be a problem? Thanks in advance for any help, as I'd like to make the DFU via USB running back again.BR,Piotr Rutkowski

Hi Everyone, I have a project utilizing a STM32G030F6P6 with a 32.768kHz crystal and the LSE to source the RTC clock. It is exhibiting 2% clock error (which is huge!) over a 10 minute period despite using a 20ppm crystal. I am measuring this error by interrogating the RTC and communicating it to the rest of my system via i2c. Now, I have read all of the crystal oscillator and load capacitor horror stories, but I have validated the actual crystal frequency by configuring the LSCO to output the LSE clock and it measures a stable 32.77 kHz (limited by the precision of my oscilloscope). In any case, much better than 2% error. What gives? Can anyone confirm the expected duty cycle of the LSCO signal (I am measuring 40% and cannot find documentation as to what I should expect).

Hi, I'm working on ADC1, on a STM32U5 (on a Nucleo  board). In reference manual (RM0456) § 33.4.13 "Channel-wise programmable sampling time" we can read how to compute the total conversion time Tconv. The example is given for SMP = 5 ADC clock, at 55Mhz. It says: What I need is a confirmation about the statement I stressed in pink on the above picture "for 14-bit mode".Does it mean that if I set ADC1 to 12 bits or 10 bits resolution the computation is not done with 17 cycles but with something else (less than 17) ?Said differently: does the number of ADC clock for the conversion depends on the ADC resolution or is it fixed at 17 cycles for ADC1 ?My guess is that sampling time is programmable but conversion time is fixed whatever the resolution. Since in the RM I do not find any list of conversion time I tend to conclude I'm correct. But I'd like a confirmation to this.Best regardsPatrice.

I'm using  stm32h5-nucleo144-board to develop USB (HID or CDC_ACM) application, I start with STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.3.0 code by directory STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-H563ZI\Applications\USBX\Ux_Device_HID_Standalone.firstly, when I download the code into MCU and plug-in USB port(CN13) and change power supply to USB USER(JP2), it doesn't work. but when I plug-in stlink V3 USB(CN1), PC sussessful enum USB(STM32 HID Mouse Device) even without power change.  After this, I plug-out  stlink V3 USB(CN1), USB still here.BUT without ST MCU(3V3_STLK) running, USB doesn't work. I have do many times try, and think that is because STLINK MCU do something to let STM32H5 USB to work when the time plug-in? THE only connect between STLINK MCU & STM32H5 is SWD and VCP port, could someone tell me the LINK-MCU role in this application?

Are there any plans to add Zephyr support for the STM32WB0X line of chips? Or is it already supported with the current HAL? I couldn't find any Zephyr related information on the product page.

Hi,we are working on NOD_WL55JC for LoRaWAN network with FUOTA.we are facing problem when at the following condition1) development kit used NOD_WL55JC, firmware ( en.stm32cubewl-v1-3-0.zip) - en.stm32cubewl-v1-3-0\STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\LoRaWAN_FUOTA 2) device is connected to LoRaWAN 1.0.4 (OTAA) to AWS server.3) connection is successful.4) multicast setup is successful5) multicast class C is successful6) switching to class C is successful.7) fragments are received at the end device( payloads at different locations in the function ProcessRadioRxDone are debugged) while fragments are downloaded, they are not getting forwarded to the case FRAGMENTATION_DATA_FRAGMENT in LmhpFragmentationOnMcpsIndication function.can you please suggest the reason for the same or can you please share the latest firmware which is working for FUOTA example.we have attached the device log for your quick reference.thank y

I use stm32CubeMX to generate usb code with HSI clock.Though I can config with usb clock to 48MHz, But stm32CubeMX software display there is clock issue as below:So I wonder can stm32f103cbt6 usb work under HSI clock?

Hi guys,I am wondering, if there is any “real” benefit in using the HAL over the LL for simple peripherals like GPIO, ADCs or Timers. So far it looked to me like the HAL does not make the user code more compact or readable. Instead, it just gets more bulky and harder to debug since you have to deal with the HAL code as well.Just as an example, look at the two functions which both do the same. They do a blocking ADC conversion on a given channel. In this case, the LL variant is actually shorter.static uint16_t read_adc_chn_LL(uint32_t chn) { LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerChannels(ADC1, chn); LL_ADC_REG_StartConversion(ADC1); while (LL_ADC_REG_IsConversionOngoing(ADC1)); return LL_ADC_REG_ReadConversionData12(ADC1); } static uint16_t read_adc_chn_HAL(uint32_t chn) { ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; sConfig.Channel = chn; sConfig.Rank = 1; sConfig.SamplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_28CYCLES; HAL_ADC_ConfigChannel(&hadc1, &sConfig); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForC

Hi everyone,I'm working on a 320*240 SPI LCD and I need to optimize the memory consumption and the refresh speed on it.At the moment I'm using 4 partial frame buffer of 9.6kB each (with RGB565 16-bit, so 4800 pixels per buffer), but, when I draw an image with dimension 48*45 (2160 pixels) on a already initialized Screen, the touchGFX calls the write on LCD function 3 times:1 - 48*20 pixels2 - 48*20 pixels3 - 48*5   pixelsThere is any way or strategy to draw it in one single transaction?

Hi,my application is loaded via the bootloader and i sstarted. Two threads are generated and it seems properly generated because one thread is in ready state while the other is in suspended state.Systick is used for the ThreadX and TIM6 is used for the HAL-Tick.But the scheduler doesn't start the ready thread.Had somebody a similar problem? Can it be a priority problem of the timers?

Hi, could you provide :the TJmax (maximum Junction Temperature), RJA(Junction to Ambient Thermal Resistance), Rjc (Junction to Case) and Rjb (Junction to Board) for the M24128-BFMC6 EEPROM.Thanks

Dear Sir/Madam,Is it possible to have a STM32 with build in UCPD-controller to deliver 240W at the port? or does anyone have experience with this type of application?According to (link: https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/ecosystems/stm32-usb-c.html?ecmp=tt21056_gl_link_may2021) I should be able to negotiate of up to 240W with EPR (extended power range) if I make use of the STM32G0 series. After consulting your presentation (link: https://www.st.com/resource/en/product_presentation/stm32-usb-c-pd-solutions-presentation.pdf) I have come to the knowledge (see page 10) that I also need a TCCP0X port protection IC, I want to have a STM that is able to sink or source power (DRP) according to the presentation I need a TCPP03-M20. Consulting the datasheet of the TCCP03-20 I came to the conclusion that it complies with powers up to 100W only. Also looking into AN5225 (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00536349-usb-type-c-power-delivery-using-stm32

 Hello, I am trying to use AES-GCM from the STM32 cryptographic library V4.2.0 to encrypt data.When running the example program, encryption and decryption work smoothly.However, when I integrate the library and function into my existing program, the encrypted ciphertext differs from expected_ciphertext.Additionally, using this incorrect ciphertext and incorrect tag still decrypts to the correct plaintext.Could you please advise where the error might be causing this result?  const uint8_t Key[] = { 0x46, 0x3b, 0x41, 0x29, 0x11, 0x76, 0x7d, 0x57, 0xa0, 0xb3, 0x39, 0x69, 0xe6, 0x74, 0xff, 0xe7, 0x84, 0x5d, 0x31, 0x3b, 0x88, 0xc6, 0xfe, 0x31, 0x2f, 0x3d, 0x72, 0x4b, 0xe6, 0x8e, 0x1f, 0xca }; const uint8_t IV[] = { 0x61, 0x1c, 0xe6, 0xf9, 0xa6, 0x88, 0x07, 0x50, 0xde, 0x7d, 0xa6, 0xcb }; const uint8_t Plaintext[] = { 0xe7, 0xd1, 0xdc, 0xf6, 0x68, 0xe2, 0x87, 0x68, 0x61, 0x94, 0x0e, 0x01, 0x2f, 0xe5, 0x2a, 0x98, 0xda, 0xcb, 0xd7, 0x8a, 0xb6, 0x3c, 0x08, 0x84, 0x2c, 0

Hi, In one of my designs, I used the L6981 5.0v low-noise variant. I followed the datasheet, and this was my first time using this chip. However, I added an option that separates the AGND and PGND pins with a ferrite bead which is not present in the datasheet. As shown in the schematic with a red arrow below:When this ferrite bead is present on the circuit, the L6981 fails to boot properly. Thus gave 2.5v output with a strange signal shape (below).  When I short the ferrite bead, it seems like the L6981 is working properly.  I wanted to filter 24v supply ground with 5v ground. But as it seems the way that I do is possibly wrong. Why is the ferrite bead causing that effect? Thank you in advance.

I am  using my own custom board which is replicate of stm32f429 disc1 development board. I replaced main mcu chip i.e stm32f429 and stlink chip from my disc1 board to my custom board. After using my custom board for for many days now it stopped working. The board is getting heated and st-link not detected error is getting popped one i connect usb power supply. I unable to find the reason for its failure.I have attached my custom board schematic. Now I want make another custom board with external debugger what changes I have to make in the schematic to make my board work like disc1 board.

I am trying to make an API for W25N01 flash. I have seen many post about this flash board and followed them. But they have not solved the problem of me not being able to read the data (so either my write function or read function is incorrect). The weird behavior which I am facing is.when I dont call the `loadBuffer` and the `programExecute` function. I can read and write fine, but I cannot write and read other pages.

Hi all I would like to know if I can use the CDC example to transmit and receive data from the windows host without redirecting it to UART

I have tried to build my own OpenSTLinux by using the SDK and the sources, without sucess. I have been trying to compile for 2 weeks from now and I'm not very pleased over the wiki of ST32MP.Anyway. I have to show a bug. I cannot build an OpenSTLinux Project inside STM32CubeIDE.I first created a project for my STM32MP1 processor, then I tried to attach the SDK with the STM32CubeIDE. But it did not work well.I have STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 and Lubuntu 22.04 and the latest SDK. So what I'm looking for, is some way to compile the kernel, TF-A, Optee and U-boot with STM32CubeIDE. If it's possible. Or else....it's impossible to follow the wiki of STM32MP. How to install the Yocto Project SDK in STM32CubeIDE - stm32mpuThis is my goal: How to manage OpenSTLinux projects in STM32CubeIDE - stm32mpu

What is the default timer clock frequency of the APBx buses on an STM32F410RB? I've been considering it to be 16MHz to calculate the frequency of my PWM wave, but it turns out I get half the frequency on scope (is the default clock at 8MHz for timers? I have not altered clocks, and I'm using TIM5_CH1).

I am trying to connect two VL53L8CX time of flight sensors to STM32F401RET6. I need one I2C bus for both sensors but unable to assign slave address dynamically. I need to know where to modify the program in stm32cube IDE

Hello,My first time posting on this forum so apologies in advance. I am working with an LCD screen that will have multiple menu's so I designed this struct with multiple pointers. However, I am running into this error where I cannot seem to use malloc function. It just keeps saying 'invalid initalizer'My Code: #include "main.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ #include "lcd8.h" #include <stdint.h> #include "stm32f411xe.h" #include <string.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include<stdio.h> /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PTD */ /* USER CODE END PTD */ /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ /* USER CODE END PD */ /* Private macro -------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PM */

Hello,I followed the instructions provided in the UM2851 to run the TFM application contained in the latest STM32CubeU5 1.6.0 Firmware projects folder, but the application does not run, it enters an infinite loop instead.Any help please?@Jocelyn RICARD @Guillaume K
