Hello all,I want to use the STM32WB5MMG module for a project which requires an RTC.The datasheet states the module integrates a 32.774 kHz LSE crystal. That seems a bit strange to me because the standard clock for LSE is normally 32.768 kHz. Checking the reference manual RM0434 there does not seem to be any reference to using a 32.774 kHz clock.I would like the RTC time to be as accurate as possible, is 32.774 kHz ok to use for the RTC? I guess I would need to somehow offset the faster clock to keep correct time. Here are some calculations I did, which I have no idea if they are correct. It seems that a 32.774 kHz clock divided by 2^15 = 1.000183105.That equals 0.001000183 ms offset from the ideal 1 second per clock period.Multiply by the number of seconds in a day, 0.001000183×86400 seconds = 86ms offset per day.If you have any thoughts on the matter, let me know!Thanks!-Eric

Dear ST Support Team,I am working on a project using the STM32WB5MM module, where I am trying to create a custom BLE service under Server mode, and also enable FreeRTOS for task management. However, I’ve encountered an issue where the Custom Server option in STM32CubeMX disappears when I activate FreeRTOS.Here’s a summary of my setup:Microcontroller: STM32WB5MMSTM32CubeIDE Version: 1.16.0BLE Middleware: STM32_WPAN (BLE stack enabled)RTOS: FreeRTOS (latest available in STM32CubeMX)When FreeRTOS is not enabled, the Custom Server option appears normally, allowing me to configure a custom BLE service. However, as soon as I activate FreeRTOS, the option disappears from the BLE Server mode configurations. I have ensured that the BLE stack is configured properly and that I am using the peripheral role for BLE.I have also checked memory allocation and attempted to adjust heap sizes, but the problem persists. Could you please advise on why this conflict occurs and how I can enable both Fr

Hi i wonder if somebody could share the datasheet on this diode i think its actually a z-diode.Regards HarryKimsRTV

Hello,I have 8 pairs of public and private keys with the hashes of each public key and I would like to calculate the associated PKHTH value without necessarily using the STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI tool (for integration with our manufacturing tool).I tried to calculate the sha256 of all the concatenated hashes of the public keys but this value does not correspond to the one calculated by STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI. Is there anything else I should include in my PKHTH calculation?Thank you

Hi there.I'm trying to use the STM32WB0 (NUCLEO-WB09KE) in HCI Controller mode with our Bluetooth Stack: https://github.com/bluekitchen/btstack/I found the BLE_Transparent application in the STM32WB0 Firmware package which provides HCI over the virtual Serial Port of the ST-Link.This works until a connection is established. Then, the ST BLE Stack initiates an ATT MTU Request and informs us via a custom HCI Extended Event. How can I disable the included BLE stack in the BLE_Transparent example and use the STM32WB0 with an external Host Stack? Thanks,  Matthias Ringwald, BlueKitchen GmbH

Is there any way not to turn off dcache and not to use SCB->CACR |= SCB_CACR_FORCEWT_Msk for dcache. But I use USB_OTG_FS dma enable=ENABLE and turn on dcache to make it work as a cdc device, It can work normally,I don't need to turn off dcache or use SCB->CACR |= SCB_CACR_FORCEWT_Msk, but usb_host can not work , i find when i open the dcache and dma in usb h

I've found something curious in the code generated by CubeMX for a BLE application on STM32WB. In APP_BLE_Init we have this:/** * Do not allow standby in the application */ UTIL_LPM_SetOffMode(1 << CFG_LPM_APP_BLE, UTIL_LPM_DISABLE);My understanding is that this prevents CPU1 from going into standby while CPU2 is booting. Then, in APPE_SysUserEvtRx, we have this:UTIL_LPM_SetOffMode(1U << CFG_LPM_APP, UTIL_LPM_ENABLE);Again, my understanding is that this is in response to a message from CPU2 indicating that it has finished booting, so standby mode can once again be enabled. However, what I've just noticed is that these two calls use different IDs (the first disables standby mode for CFG_LPM_APP_BLE, and the second enables it for CFG_LPM_APP). The effect is that standby mode is never re-enabled when CPU2 finishes booting. These are the only two calls to UTIL_LPM_SetOffMode in the generated code, so it seems unlikely that the change in ID is intentional--why would we see exact

I downloaded the boot code generated by following the settings in Figure 3 (the frequency configuration to 600Mhz) into the flash of the 0x08000000 starting address, and then the stlink cannot detect after re-powering (as shown in Figure 1). But my device manager can detect the device (as shown in Figure 2).Can someone help me with that? Thank you very much!  figure1 figure2 figure3

Hello, we have an STM32CubeIDE project based on the STM32U545. Unfortunately, our first version of PCB's is due to arrive soon populated with the STM32U535 instead, due to parts shortages. My question is, can I use the IDE to load and debug the code as is, or do I need to create a different project based on the STM32U535. The two parts are almost identical, except for the crypto engine, which we arent using yet, so I am not concerned about binary compatability, just whether the IDE will complain when it sees a 535 instead of a 545.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes. When operating with STM32CubeIDE, and doing something that causes a child window to pop up, the window can disappear behind other windows and alt-tab can't find them.  I have to drag other windows on my desktop around to find the child window lurking underneath.Environment:STM32CubeIDE Version 1.16.1OS: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS 64 BitDesktop: Gnome V42.9Windowing System X11Graphics: NVIDIA Corporation GM107 [GeForce GTX 750 Ti] (rev a2) using NouveauTo reproduce:Open a browser and a few other apps maximized.Open STM32CubeIDE.In the main IDE window, click on Help -> Manage Embedded Software Packages. Now Alt-Tab to some other application.Alt-Tab back to find the Embedded SoftwarePackages Manager.Expected Behavour:Embedded SoftwarePackages Manager appears.Actual Behavour:Embedded SoftwarePackages Manager cannot be found.Additonal Information:By dragging all the windows around or minimizing them, eventually you will find the

Hi, I'm having issues debugging my custom STM32H573 board. It used to work, before restoring my laptop to factory settings and reinstalling the IDE. I hope someone can help me with the situation, I don't know what fixes to try anymore. Setup: Custom board using STM32H573RIT6 ST-LINK V3MINIE (Firmware Version V3J15M7) STM32CubeIDE 1.16.1 STM32CubeProgrammer v2.17.0 ST-LINK GDB Server Version 7.8.0   Problem: When starting a Debugging session, the STLink does not download the software onto the MCU, even though it should be enabled according to the debugging configuration. The CubeProgrammer that should run in the IDE does not start (according to the gdbserver logs). Flashing the software using the STM32CubeProgrammer works without an issue, so the building process seems to work. The MCU software also seems to be consistently crashing, when starting the debug session.   Tested Fixes (did not work): I already tried downloading an older version of STM32CubeIDE and updating i

Hi i'm using MCU : STM32H743ZGT. At several ADC documents, it says that when ADC1 and ADC2 end sampling, the two results are stored in ADC_CDR together. The top 16 bits are the result of ADC2, or slave ADC, and the bottom 16 bits are the result of ADC1, or master ADC.  I want to know how the two ADCs are stored in different registers, for example, each ADC_DR. Because I want to get more than 16 bits of data. Of course, we use the two ADCs as dual mode.  Is there any other way? Thank you.

Hello,I've created a test touchGFX project for stm32h747i-disco by using TouchGFX Designer-4.21.4. It has only one screen that has one background image and one text. You can see it below:When I generate the code by using TouchGFX Designer-4.21.4 and when I compile and download it with stm32CubeIDE, it works without any problem. But when I write this linker code to move FontFlashSection into QSPI flash memory, it stucks in the ErrorHandler. FontFlashSection : { *(FontFlashSection FontFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >QSPI ExtFlashSection, FontSearchFlashSection and TextFlashSection work in the QSPI flash memory without any problem. But when I add FontFlashSection as well to the QSPI Flash, the code somehow stucks in the ErrorHandler.  What else should I do to use FontFlashSection in QSPI Flash memory? What am I missing? Can you help me for this? I need to use FontFlashSection in the QSPI Flash memory. Tha

Hello Community, I am using a STM32F411, 2 timer with global interrupt and preemption priority of 0 are executing a timing critical process to bitbang a GPIO port.4uS timer periodAnd a I2C DMA process to update a SSD1306 screen I2C and DMA interrupt have a preemption priority of 14I am having an issue with the timer bitbang when I sent a message to update the screen. I thought that lower interrupt priority with take the lead and it seems that it is not the caseDo I miss something ?Vincent

Hi everyone, Today I installed the ST25NFC library for my ST25R3916B when I unpack the the zip file I see a .exe file. After installing and going to the designated folder I see all the files. What to do with those files is where to problem starts. I tried copying files from the RFAL folder into my project and setting the includes and source, when trying to build it result that it misses a file called rfal_platform.h. When trying to get that file from somewhere else and copying it into my project it results into a lot of other errors.  Can someone please explain on what to do cause I'm really confused at this point.

Hello All.I want to disable RF write access for all the user memory. Do I have to use RFA1SS like: Write password 00000000;If security session is open:     Read RFA1SS, OR it with mask 0x0C and write back to RFA1SS;     Write password ffffffff.?Do I have to configure user memory areas before to have it working or will it by default disable RF write for all the user space? Thanks!

Hi,I'm working on implementing attribute reporting on the Zigbee STM32WB55 Evaluation boards. I've attempted to configure attribute reporting in the Zigbee_DevTemp_Server_Coord and Zigbee_DevTemp_Client_Router baseline examples. However, I encountered an issue on the server side where I am unable to perform the Write operation on the attributes. ([DEV TEMP]Failed to initialize initial Temperature) During my investigation, I came across two APIs, namely ZbZclAttrReportKick() and ZbZclClusterReportCallbackAttach().Interestingly, without using ZbZclAttrReportKick(), the report callback implemented on the router side is not being triggered. I'm curious about this behavior. The comments suggest that the application might disable automatic periodic reporting, but I'm unsure why this is happening. Is it not possible to receive the callback output on the client side without calling ZbZclAttrReportKick()? Here are the comments on ZbZclAttrReportKick();  /** * This

Hi all,Please let me know if this post belongs into the STM32 Security forum.I'm developing a Windows GUI for flashing STM32H5 with my IP Software. The user of this GUI (customer) and the PC it's running on should NEVER be able to get a hold of the STM32 Software (.bin).Caling STM32_Programmer_CLI from my GUI App (with -d or -w), it is only possible to provide the binary as a file.I haven't tried using -w32, but I assume it will be rather slow for a ~megabyte-sized binary. What I would love to do, is pipe the data into STM32_Programmer_CLI, but I don't think this is possible yet. What is the best approach for hiding the binary and obk from theft, other than "securing by obscuring"?Goal is to prevent the customer from flashing other MCUs without using my GUI (which contacts the license server). Also, after Provisioning/Closing the device, the GUI would need to perform regression in order to reflash it, which again, could expose the password because the CLI only takes it as a file input...T

Hello,I'm trying to interface to the FTDI FT2232H chip in FT245 Style asynchronous FIFO Mode to get a higher throughput over USB without needing to mess with the USB stack. I'm looking to get around 5MB/s throughput ultimately. Planning to use asynchronous as it's a bit easier. I'm having trouble trying to figure out what configuration i should use in FMC in order to get this going? It seems all i need is an 8 bit address bus, read strobe, write strobe and buffer full/empty  (from https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/TN_167_FIFO_Basics.pdf) I'm getting quite confused with the PSRAM,NAND,SDRAM configurations.Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I bought a STM32MP257F-EV1 board, but on the board UM, I can not find any description about AI/NN, I checked the STM32MP257F data sheet, it does support the AI/NN, so I am confused, if I can deploy the AI model on the EVB?

Hi, I would like to separate the project files (.project) and source files into different directories as shown in the image below. How can I do this? In my original project, I don't want my source files and project files (.project) to exist in the same folder, as shown below.

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on reading and writing the registers of the ST25R3916 chip, which is mounted on the NFC08A1 board. However, I'm running into some issues with the I2C read and write operations.Below is the code I'm using to attempt reading from the chip: while (1) { uint8_t value = 0; HAL_StatusTypeDef status; status = HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, ST25R_ADDR, 0x000C, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT, &value, 1, 1000); switch(status){ case HAL_OK: UART1_WriteString("HAL_OK I2C\r\n"); break; case HAL_ERROR: UART1_WriteString("HAL_ERROR I2C\r\n"); break; case HAL_BUSY: UART1_WriteString("HAL_BUSY I2C\r\n"); break; case HAL_TIMEOUT: UART1_WriteString("HAL_TIMEOUT I2C\r\n"); break; } } For reference, "ST25R_ADDR" = 0x50.When I flash the micro (NUCLEO-U575IQ), the code keeps printing HAL_ERROR on the serial monitor, and I can't figure out why. From the ST25R3916 datasheet, I see that the I2C address is supposed to be 0x50, and I'm simply trying to re
