I've got an STM32H7RS, and am attempting to use HPDMA to do a memory-to-memory transfer where one side is the FMC.The transfer works perfectly if I use GPDMA.With the exact same code (just replacing the GPDMA handle with an HPDMA one) does not work (it returns an error from HAL_DMA_PollForTransfer) and reports:State: HAL_DMA_STATE_READYError: HAL_DMA_ERROR_DTEI've initialized HPDMA with the exact same parameters (and I've made sure to enable the HPDMA clock with __HAL_RCC_HPDMA1_CLK_ENABLE() at the top of MX_HPDMA1_Init()). My MX_HPDMA1_Init():  /* USER CODE BEGIN HPDMA1_Init 0 */ __HAL_RCC_HPDMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(HPDMA1_Channel12_IRQn, 8, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(HPDMA1_Channel12_IRQn); /* USER CODE END HPDMA1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN HPDMA1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END HPDMA1_Init 1 */ handle_HPDMA1_Channel12.Instance = HPDMA1_Channel12; handle_HPDMA1_Channel12.Init.Request = DMA_REQUEST_SW; handle_HPDMA1_Channel12.Init.BlkHWRequest = DMA_BREQ_

Hello,I am trying to implement a gesture recognition application.I am using 53L8A1 to collect data. And found out the model zoo supports Hand Posture using 2D CNN. In the model zoo is uses minimum distance, max_distance and background distance. Based on the normalization it follows:X1_norm[zheaders["distance_mm"]] = (X1[zheaders["distance_mm"]] - 295) / 196X1_norm[zheaders["signal_per_spad"]] = (X1[zheaders["signal_per_spad"]] - 281) / 452I would like to know how number 295, 196 for distance and 281, 452 is calculated.Since i am trying to detect dynamic gesture as well with motion. It possible to do it in 3DCNN with 8x8x2xNumber Of Frames. Where 2 are the distances and the signal per spad?

Hello everyone.I have a problem compiling my Yocto for stm32mp157c-dk2 project. I run the bitbake command from build "bitbake -e core-image-minimal".I get the error message:Error, the PACKAGE_ARCHS variable (all any noarch ${PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHS:tune-cortexa7}cortexa7 stm32mp157c_dk2) for DEFAULTTUNE (cortexa7) does not contain TUNE_PKGARCH ().Toolchain tunings invalid:Tuning 'cortexa7' has no defined features, and cannot be used.I tried to solve without success.Anyone know how to solve it?ThanksMikiserf

Hello,I'm using the STM32F767ZITx MCU and the lwIP library to transmit and receive UDP packets every 1 ms.Everything works fine but sometimes, after the ARP table has expired, UDP packets are no longer transmitted for several seconds even though my STM has received a response to its ARP request (as seen with Wireshark). What solutions are there to avoid this scenario? Is this normal lwIP behavior? Thanks for your help.

Hi!We are characterizing the ADC's in the STM32H7B3 µc. During temperature cycling of the HW we are observing some unexpected shifts in the conversion data from the ADC. The phenomena is observed across multiple HW units in varying degree. From one part:  Zoomed in at the first shift:It seems 'stuck' at 11263 (decimal) = 0b 0010 1011 1111 1111From another part:  It looks like the shifts are occurring at the some distinct digital values. Is seems like there is a tendency that when the 8 LSB of the digital value are all zeros or all ones, a shift occurs. I can provide raw data if this is of use.  Has anyone at ST seen this sort of behavior from the ADC's? If there is a weakness in the design of the ADC's we need to identify it early. Hopefully this is due to some configuration error on our part. The ADC is configured like this; m_adcHandle.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1;m_adcHandle.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_16B;m_adcHan

where I wrote it among the codes.. // Here I have to wait 500ms.Can you help me to prevent the timers from being affected by this wait?Can you give me the codes that I will add. Because I am very confused..I tried many things but they all stopped the interrupts.. void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if(htim->Instance==TIM1) { if(input1==0) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_Pin_1, GPIO_PIN_SET); // Here I have to wait 500ms. HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_Pin_1, GPIO_PIN_RESET); } }

I'll try to explain my problem. Don't judge me harshly please.I will explain in detail so that someone can help me understand my problem or suggest a thought that will help me solve it on my own. The idea came to my mind, and I might be completely wrong and not understanding how it works, but I wanted to implement the following: I wanted to connect the Nucleo-F429ZI via the COM port using FT232R and check at what moment and how the control of the DTR and RST signals occurs from the STM32CubeProgrammer (V.2.15.0) program when the port is connected. This is a necessary measure because I don't have equipment on hand for technical verification.I took my Nucleo-F429ZI, as well as the YP-05 board (with the FT232R chip), connected as shown in the picture below.PF12 - CN11.7 - RTSUSART1_TX - CN12.21 - RXDUSART1_RX - CN12.33 - TXDPF13 - CN8.5 - DTRGND - CN7.8 - GNDNucleo-F429ZI is powered through the CN1 connector with a cable that only supplies power (without data transfer). Hi, Is there anyway I can add more dynamic gesture to Gesture Kit ULD? Currently What I see is that it supports up to UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, TAP, and Double TAP. If there is a way, could you share what is the process of it? Thank you.

Hello! First post on this forum.I need to run automated testing of a TouchGFX application in an isolated environment. The application takes screen snapshots and stores them to files. It should not need a display to run if it can just render images to the display buffer and capture the result. It runs on windows, and the framework I have uses docker containers, so it would be nice torun headless, while still taking snapshots, in a windows build. Is it possible to produce that kind of headless build? Would it run in a Windows Nano server container?Best regards/M

Hi,I configured the STM32U5G9VJT6Q to use QSPI to interface to a NOR FLASH ( MT25QL128ABA1EW9-0SIT ).Because of other connectivity, the only option for the data lines (Data [3..0] as highlighted in yellow in the attached screenshot) is "Port 2 IO [7..4]". All other options in the drop-down menu next to "Data [3..0]" are either red or disabled.I need to be absolutely sure of the connectivity and that it will work (preferably using the HAL drivers).Does that configuration work? With reference to the pins table in the attached screenshot, do I need to connect the data lines as follows: - PH9 (P2_IO4) connected to QSPI flash memory Data 0- PH10 (P2_IO5) connected to QSPI flash memory Data 1- PH11 (P2_IO6) connected to QSPI flash memory Data 2- PH12 (P2_IO7) connected to QSPI flash memory Data 3 or in some other ways?Thank you

Hi,on the STM32U5G9VJT6Q, according to the documentation and also to the Pin export from CubeMX including the Alt-Functions, PH15 should be able to be set to TIM8_CH3N.But in CubeMX (see screenshot below) when I select Channel 3 PWM output it sets it to PB1 (instead of PH15).How do I set TIM8_CH3N onto PH15 (i.e. pin 62 in part number STM32U5G9VJT6Q)?Especially using the pane on the left (instead of trying to select the pin int he micro's IC view).Thank you

Hi,on the STM32U5G9VJT6Q, when I click on many pins such as PD5 (screenshot below) it shows GPIO_Analog but there does not seem to be any ADC channels (or other analog functionalities) connected to it.What does setting it to GPIO_Analog do?Can I still assign somehow a ADC to PD5? If so, how?Thank you :)

Hi guys,This has likely been covered before so please feel free to point me to it.I'm trying to set up the LSM6DSOX Pedometer to store count to FIFO, but having no luck.I am not using the Library, as it is not easily ported to my uC.Would anyone be able to highlight for me the registers I need to set up for basic operation, so that I can tinker from there?I have been able to set up the pedometer to interrupt, but not write to FIFO.I'd also be interested in the steps to read from the FIFO, but imagine that this will be easier once I'm writing correctly..Thanks,Ben

Hi all, I'm playing around with STM32H747I-DISCO eval board and the stm32ai-modelzoo demo. I've managed to train and evaluate a model with my custom dataset using the script in "image_classification\src\stm32ai_main.py" Now I'm struggling with the deployment of the model. I tried using the deploy script in "image_classification\deployment\deploy.py" but I get the following error: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'models_utils'   Any ideas what's going wrong here? The error isn't very descriptive (to me at least) so I'm a bit stuck. Sorry if this is a simple question, coming from a Hardware and FPGA design background using VHDL where everything is very explicit and strongly typed, I really struggle with the layers of abstraction that Python libraries bring.

Hello,I am in the process of obtaining the inventory information of ISO15693 tag using ST25R3916.But the data received seems not normal, so I want to get help.. My register settings are as followsDircet_Command(SET_Default);Register_Write(IO_configuration1, 0x04); // IO Configuration1 register Write 0x04Register_Write(IO_configuration2, 0x84); // IO Configuration2 register Write 0x84Register_Write(Bit_rate_definition, 0x00); // Bit Rate Defintion register Write 0x00Register_Write(Stream_mode_definition, 0x18); // Stream Mode definition register Write 0x18 Register_Write(Mode_defintion,0x74); // Mode Defintion register Write 0x74Register_Write(Operation_control,0xC8); // Operation control register Write 0xC8 FIFO_load(FIFO_TX,CMD_BUF); //FIFO Buf Wirte CMD_BUF (Write to the register as long as the buffer length)Register_Write(Number_of_transmitted_bytes1,len);Register_Write(Number_of_transmitted_bytes2,len); Dircet_Command(Transmit_without_CRC); //Send data stor

I'm using SPI on STM32H563 with DMA to interface to a ST7789 LCD controller.  During the LCD initialization I'm using a loop to send a series of command/data bytes using the HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA() HAL function but the DMA status never goes back to READY (see my function below). void LCD_IO_WriteMultipleData(uint8_t *pData, uint32_t Size){  /* Swap endianes */  ConvHL(pData, (int32_t)Size*2);  DC_H();  if (HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&hspi3, pData, Size*2 ) != HAL_OK) {    Error_Handler();  }  while (hspi3.hdmatx->State != HAL_DMA_STATE_READY);}Function hangs on the while loop at the end waiting on DMA to complete. Please see attached images of .ioc SPI and DMA configuration.

May I ask how to convert the IR channel ADC value of VD6283TX45 to IR optical power, only the RGB channel is converted to Lux in Driver, and there is no description about this IR optical power in Datasheet.

Hello everyone,i am trying to read the device unique id of my stm32h7b3 mcu, but get a bus fault on line 2:   uint8_t* uid_base = (uint8_t*) 0x08FFF800; uint8_t i = uid_base[0];  Do you know what could be the problem ?

hey there! is it possible to create a webserver with bluepill and w5500? where should I find an example of this?

Good morning to all,I am wanting to make a simple numeric keypad where I only press numbers and they are seen in a text area and then when I press a button it compares it with a char and if it is the same it does one thing or another. My problem is that I can't see anything in the text area and if I send in the sprintf directly the variable contrasena_ing (which is of type char contrasena_ing[11]; ) it prints and the delete button erases but in fact it prints anything (from touch gfx the range of ascii characters is ok).what am I doing wrong?  Info_5View::Info_5View() { } void Info_5View::setupScreen() { Info_5ViewBase::setupScreen(); contrasena_ing[0] = '\0'; pos = 0; } void Info_5View::tearDownScreen() { Info_5ViewBase::tearDownScreen(); } void Info_5View::service_unlock() { // Override and implement this function in Info_5 //Unicode::snprintf(unlock_textBuffer, UNLOCK_TEXT_SIZE, "%s",contrasena_ing); //unlock_text.invalidate(); //char contrasena_ing[11]; } vo

Hi, I'm pretty new to STM developement. I tried use "SubGhz Ping Pong" example in the cubeWL package, successfully. Now I search to establish a real com' between two STM32WL55JC1, where they can exchange data, etc... The different driver, API, layer make a real fog when you're a beginner. In differents manual theres no details on what do this function or this, and search in "radio_driver.c" is not very helpfull. Someone here can help me to understand how inplement and use those function ? Thank you very much.

To secure my bootloader against erroneous writes from the application I want to enable write protection on it. But since for some things the bootloader needs to modify data inside its partition (security counter update and key invalidation), I can not just enable write protection and be done with it. I would need to disable it at some point and reenable it again. Best case without rebooting in between. Now what I am trying to understand ist when the WRP setting actually takes effect, so how dynamic I can use it. The reference manual says:"To validate the WRP options, the option bytes must be reloaded through the OBL_LAUNCHbit in Flash memory control register"But validation is not enabling. So when can the register be written and when does the change take effect?I think my question is quite similar to the following, but that was never solvedhttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-security/about-read-out-protection-write-protection/m-p/162290

Dear,I'm starting with OP-TEE on STM32MP15x line. I bring-up the board as described here and built the optee_example_hello_world as described here. However, I got the error code below:TEEC_Opensession failed with code 0xffff0008 origin 0x3Checking the boot messages, I realized that the profile system_services is used. This way, it is not possible to run any TA. So, is there any already compiled image for STM32MP157C-DK2 board that allows running a TA or do I have to modify the image to enable it? Thanks!

Hello,What does the red “S” in the CubeIDE outline window mean? Is there a description of the respective markers in CubeIDE somewhere?

Hello, I would like to know if it possible to use a 48MHz TCXO instead of the 48Mhz crystal specified in the datasheet of the STM32WL33 ?Standard crystal are at minimum +/- 10ppm at tolerance and this may not be sufficient for our application. If yes, do I left the OSC_OUTPUT in floating ? Best regards, Schaeffer G.
