Hi.I am developing on STM32CubeIDE with F446RE Nucleo, and I want to get the voltage value by calculating ADC value.But that doesn't work.Here is the "main.c".I made two variables.(" ADC " means ADC value, " v " means voltage value.)Red texts are texts whose I wrote. Spoiler (Highlight to read)/* USER CODE BEGIN Header *//**  ******************************************************************************  * @file           : main.c  * @brief          : Main program body  ******************************************************************************  * @attention  *  * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics.  * All rights reserved.  *  * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file  * in the root directory of this software component.  * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS.  *  ************************

I can produce a sine wave using DAC1 + DMA on a STMG431CBU6 MCU, but I'd like to increase the frequency (purely as a learning exercise).  In the application note https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an4566-extending-the-dac-performance-of-stm32-microcontrollers-stmicroelectronics.pdf it suggests that the DAC update rate can be increased by using DMA Double Data mode.  When I enable double data mode in STM32CubeIde, however, the generated sine wave frequency is halved and an additional high frequency signal is superimposed on it.DAC settings (DMA double data enabled):Sine wave generated when DMA double data is disabled:Sine wave generated when DMA double data is enabled:'Close-up' of the superimposed signal:From this image the superimposed signal frequency seems to be ~6.17 MHz.I presume there is more to enabling DMA double data mode than changing the DAC setting in STM32CubeIDE, but I haven't been able to find anything else.  Can anyone tell me where

My issue is quite simple, I want larger fonts.I would ask you for "Even Larger", and then for "Huge" when 8K screens are more common (or when my eyesight gets worse), but I suggest we stop playing this silly game.Instead, I propose that we should specify scale as a floating-point number, just as god intended.Thank you

I recently downloaded and installed the latest version of STM32CubeIDE, and went to configure a project for the STM32F072B-DISCO eval board.However, contrary to other threads here, and instructions provided with the board, that part number (in fact, ANY STM32F072B - not just the eval board) are no longer listed as a valid MCU in the library.Is there a supplemental driver that now needs downloaded/installed somewhere?

Hi ST Support Team, I am using the stm32f103rct6 mcu in my custom board.  I am using the inbuild flash API's to write data into the flash memory. I have checked the erase api is working properly, I am able to see the 0xff at all locations without any issue. But when i try to write at any specific flash address, the "status= HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_HALFWORD,addr, (uint64_t)dataBuf[i]);". The function completes properly without error but dosen't write the data at that location and returning the 0xFF. I have attached my project, please check and let me know if i am doing anything wrong. Thank you in advance. Best Regards,Aadesh

I'm working on a low-power design and planning to use a STLQ020. The datasheet doesn't mention the need for a protection diode, nor does it mention that there is one integrated..Is there an integrated protection diode?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to decrease the clock speed of TIM3 on my STM32L452RET6 (NUCLEO-L452RE) and i've run into issues. I think i figured it out already but I just don't understand why the problem is. My clock tree looks like this in CubeMX:With this configuration and the default generated code the SystemClock_Config function looks like this:     void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = { 0 }; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = { 0 }; /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ if (HAL_PWREx_ControlVoltageScaling(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE1) != HAL_OK) Error_Handler(); /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators according to the specified parameters * in the RCC_OscInitTypeDef structure. */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = 64; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct

Hi, I'm facing a very strange issue with my G070CBT6-based board... When I start work and power up the board everything works fine for a couple of minutes (let's say 5 minutes ) but later I can observe some disturbances on the reset pin... I connect the oscilloscope and I can see the voltage on the reset pin, after a few minutes of the device operating, starts to fall down slowly and there is some mess on the signal...Here is an example waveform watched:Yellow -> 3.3V supplyBlue -> reset line I've tried 3 different pcs of the MCU on the same board and also try soldering bare minimum setup (LDO, MCU, caps, etc.. ) on a totally fresh PCB, and every time the same behavior...No matter, if the code flashed, is my application code, led blink demo, or totally erased flash.This is the MCU part of the schematic..  I also tried to pull down the SW_CLK ( there is the BOOT0 also on this pin ) but this ain't help...When the issue occurs, I'm not able to do anything with the MCU

hi,    I'm new to STM32 and I need assistance with Ethernet configuration on the Nucleo-H7Z3G board. I'm starting from the beginning and hence I want to achieve the following: 1. Configuration of the Ethernet interface: RMII/MII on Nucleo-H7Z3G 2. Configuration of TCP/IP: LWIP (Lightweight IP) protocol stack 3. TCP/IP send/receive: able to send and receive packets over Ethernet. I have the following: Nucleo-H7Z3G, Ethernet cable, STM32CubeIDE. I need help with the following: 1. Where to set up the Ethernet in STM32CubeMX 2. How to set up and initialize LWIP 3. Where to look for example codes for send/receive 4. Where can I find resources/examples/tutorials for this? What I've tried thus far: - Review of the STM32CubeMX manual - Extensive online search ranging from forums to formal documentation. I've received no errors, but I'm stuck. Please help! Any and all examples, tutorials, suggestions are greatly appreciated!Thankful in advance.

Hello ST Community,I am currently working on a project to design an Ethernet-to-CAN Gateway and implement Automotive Ethernet (SOME/IP) functionality over it. The objective is to enable seamless communication between CAN FD networks and Ethernet-based automotive systems, which are increasingly prevalent in modern vehicles.Key Goals:Hardware Implementation:Use an STM32 microcontroller as the core of the gateway.Integrate an Ethernet module (e.g., W5500 or built-in equivalent ) for Ethernet connectivity.Interface with a CAN controller (e.g., MCP2515 or built-in CAN FD support) for CAN communication.Software Implementation:Implement SOME/IP stack for communication over Automotive Ethernet.Develop a reliable protocol for bridging CAN FD and Ethernet communication.Challenges:Optimizing performance to handle real-time data transmission across both interfaces.Ensuring compatibility with existing Automotive Ethernet standards.Minimizing latency and addressing error handling across the gateway.

Can anyone explain to me what is wrong in my code?Microcontroller: STM32C031K6T6I'm trying to make an interface so that the user can change the name of their environment in real time, my idea and what I tried to write is something that holds the previous strings (which may already be edited) in RAM, makes the modifications and then then write in flash again. Currently my code is like this, it shows the environments ("AMBIENTE  01...24"), I can edit the name of the string, it "saves" when i call Grava();, but when I turn my board off and on the changes do not continue... I tried to copy the txtL strings to b_txtL using memcpy, and strncpy at the beginning of main();, but when i do this my my display goes "crazy" showing the strings "AMBIENTE ..." all broken in line 1 and 2Note: I can't debug and at the same time see the changes that happen on the display because the SWCLK pin was used for a display pin, I had to implement a code that erased the memory after holding d

Dear ST,Is there any roadmap for the next release of OpenSTLinux based on latest LTS kernel 6.6 ?Thanks in advancePatrick

Hi,I am trying to connect 24bit RGB 480x272 display with stm32h723zgt6 but i have pin shortage due to many pin assigned for other purpose  and earlier i used FSMC 16bit RGB  display .16bit @ RGB565 LTDC Display mainly i  need to have lower memory consumption .Most of online seller having the 24bit RGB and i couldn't find any one having for 16bit @ RGB565 LTDC.Can any one please suggest me from where i can find the 16bit @ RGB565 LTDC. Any specific model or Maker ? .

Hi, I'm using MCSDK 5.Y.2 and STSPIN32G4 on a custom board. (this is a software thing !)I couldn't find a way to get two (more than one) converted ADC Values using a single request using the RCM.So I carried on converting each channel sequentially.I made two Registrationslike so  void User_ADC_Init(void) { RegConv_t FES_ADC = {hadc2.Instance,MC_ADC_CHANNEL_7,ADC_SAMPLETIME_2CYCLES_5}; FEShandle = RCM_RegisterRegConv(&FES_ADC); RegConv_t TRTL_ADC = {hadc2.Instance,MC_ADC_CHANNEL_8,ADC_SAMPLETIME_2CYCLES_5}; TRTLhandle = RCM_RegisterRegConv(&TRTL_ADC); }  But started with converting just one of the channels  void User_ADC_Conv(void) { switch( RCM_GetUserConvState()) { case RCM_USERCONV_IDLE : RCM_RequestUserConv(FEShandle); break; case RCM_USERCONV_REQUESTED : break; case RCM_USERCONV_EOC : FES_Datum = RCM_GetUserConv(); break; } /* switch( RCM_GetUserConvState()) { case RCM_USERCONV_IDLE : if(adcSelect ==

I'm using a textarea widget with a wildcard, but as you can see in the image, the text appears invertedAny way to solve this?

I am trying to use pin PA8 as a PWM output using timer 1 on channel 1 for a stm32f103rct6. I have successfully programmed pins PA9, PA10, and PA11 to provide PWM output on channels 2, 3, and 4, but when I do the same for PA8 on channel 1, I do not get any output. I am pretty sure that the pin works because if I manually toggle it on and off it works fine.Is there something special about this particular pin? I do see that that pin can be configured as MCO and if I do that, I do see an 8mhz signal. But when I am using it for PWM is is not configured in that way.Could there be some kind of conflict with other pins? Any insight would be appreciated.Thanks.

Hello,I have successfully setup a virtual port and communicate from WebUSB/WebSerial and plain serial ports with my STM32F373.  I'm now looking to implement Bluetooth to eliminate the need for a USB cable.  What is the simplest way to add a bluetooth Virtual Serial Port similar to how it is done via USB?  I can also use a bluetooth hardware driver instead of a Virtual Serial Port type link as well if that is what is required.Thank you

Hello ,  I am using the STM32G0C1RET6 MCU and want to generate the frequency in between 20Khz to 200Khz, with dutycyle in between 1 to 100%, but frequency below 10 percent is not generating, as my CCR value gets 0, due to low ARR value. Am I going in right direction or not I am not getting it, and if have understood the correct use of CCR and ARR registers. here is a snippet of my code I am using, for setting the frequency I am using this logic case TIMER1: if (freq_input > 100000) TIM1->PSC = 32-1; else TIM1->PSC = 64-1; new_arr = (HAL_RCC_GetHCLKFreq() / (freq_input * TIM1->PSC)) - 1; TIM1->ARR=new_arr; for setting Dutycycle i am using, uint32_t CCR = ((duty_input) * new_arr) /100 ; switch(timer) { case TIMER1: if (channel == 1) TIM1->CCR1=CCR; here, HAL_RCC_GetHCLKFreq = 64MHz. here using the less or higher prescalar affects the frequency, so i chose accordingly.

Hi STI generally appreciate your tools and how to keep on make them better, keeping also quality on track.But let me say this: It is highly annoying that it is mandatory to login in the CubeMX and CubeIDE.Please remove this again.Use case: as a embedded SW developer I give my CubeMX project to the HW developer for review. For this short task he does not want to create a login. This is highly annoying and I request to remove this again.Please understand that for development this is just an additional work where people will rather not use the tool than create a login.If login is required for the download: ok. But let the devleoper decide whether he wants to download on its own or via the tool. No login should be needed to use the tools.Thanks for your undestanding.Led

Please look at the screen shot:I presume that the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 is equipped with a STM32H7S3L8H MCU... This is also what I can read on the MCU.Thank you.

Hi,I'm trying to use SPI Tx DMA transfer on a Nucleo STM32H563ZI board connected to a LCD module that works on 3wire spi, so just 1Tx line. I know the SPI configuration and code for the LCD driver is OK because everything works if I run in interrupt mode but when trying to send data over SPI DMA it fails.My SPI and DMA configuration looks like this. __HAL_RCC_GPDMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); /* SPI1 GPDMA Init */ target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Instance = GPDMA1_Channel0; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.Request = GPDMA1_REQUEST_SPI1_TX; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.BlkHWRequest = DMA_BREQ_SINGLE_BURST; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.Direction = DMA_MEMORY_TO_PERIPH; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.SrcInc = DMA_SINC_INCREMENTED; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.DestInc = DMA_DINC_FIXED; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.SrcDataWidth = DMA_SRC_DATAWIDTH_HALFWORD; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.DestDataWidth = DMA_DEST_DATAWIDTH_HALFWORD; target_hgpdma1_spi1_tx.Init.Priority = DMA_LOW_PRIORITY_HIGH_WEIGHT; target_hgpdma1_s

Hi,I'm trying the STAIoT Craft platform and I'm having issues trying out the IoT Systems.So far I've tried cloning and deploying two samples:Smart Asset TrackingHuman Activity RecognitionThis is my setup:Google Chrome Version 130.0.6723.1 18 (Official Build) (64-bit)SensorTileBox.Pro (with SD Card)Rapsberry Model 4B 8GB RAM (32 GB SD Card for OS)edge_gateway_production_20241107_1_2_0.imgWi-FiI cloned the sample projects from the STAIoT Craft Homepage and just tried them out. I followed the instructions for deployment (flashing the sensortile, downloading Raspberry OS and configurations...) as described by the step-by-step procedure. This is a screenshot of the issue with the Smart Asset Tracking sample:I tried clicking on "Apply Manifest" but it didn't change the results: Just to be sure, I tried the Human Activity Recognition sample, with the same result: The only thing that is not clear to me (but I tried both ways) is if SensorTile and Raspberry have to be ON before I

Hi,i want to send sensor values from my STM to my Homeassistant via zigbee.Therefore I have configured a temperature sensor cluster at one endpoint and because my device should also control LEDs, I have an onoff cluster.I have tried to send my sensordata with  ZbZclAttrIntegerWrite(zigbee_app_info.temperature_meas_server_2, ZCL_WC_MEAS_ATTR_MEAS_VAL, 12); As a start, i places this line into the "onOff_server_1_on" function, so that I could see, when I send an on command from my Homeassistant, the temperature gets send, which also works fine.However, I tried calling the function with an external set routine cyclic (every 10s) from my ISR, which did not work and caused my processor to crash. Can anybody see a reason for that? I also attachted my app_zigbee.c here.Thanks

i have looked everywhere and cant find the datasheet for this mcu, we get alot of this becouse we are in the business of reusing dismantled ev car batteries and as much components as possible.with this we are building Energy storages for grid services. can i please get some help to find this datasheet? SPC58VX829348
