Regarding LL_AHB1_GRP1_EnableClock, after setting bit in the function, it is read to "tmprg" and cast to void type. What is the reason for reading?__STATIC_INLINE void LL_AHB1_GRP1_EnableClock(uint32_t Periphs){ __IO uint32_t tmpreg; SET_BIT(RCC->AHBENR, Periphs); /* Delay after an RCC peripheral clock enabling */ tmpreg = READ_BIT(RCC->AHBENR, Periphs); (void)tmpreg;}

Hi can someone help me with identification a marking diode ?

Heyho,until now I only used STM32 with the LAN8742, in a few weeks I'll get my 2nd custom board, but this time with the "dual" PHY KSZ8863RLL.It's connected via RMII, for setup MDIO (and optionally I2C for the registers not accessible via MDIO).Are there any known issues or "pitfalls" with this PHY?Thanks in advance,LCEPS: interesting that there is no "ETH" label... :D

Using stm32G474RE nucleo board and following this guide, i know my way around old "advanced" Timers from stm, im just getting started with HRTIMChanging PER register has effect in the PWM frecuency, but changing CMP1 doesnt do anything :(Im not able to change the duty cycle of the PWM , it remains 50% for any Compare register value   My cubeMx setup is

Hello Community, I'm setting up a test with NetxDuo + MQTT over TLS (aka MQTTs, port 8883) on a STM32F429NIx.As far as i see from the example available it consider a scenario where the client verify the certs provided by the server with the supplied CA.This could work, but it's not mutual-tls, while I'm trying to have a mTLS (mutual-tls ) where also the client_cert and client_key are used.I see the tls_callback function specified in the nxd_mqtt_client_secure_connect have two NX_SECURE_X509_CERT * parameter. UINT tls_setup_callback(NXD_MQTT_CLIENT *client_pt, NX_SECURE_TLS_SESSION *TLS_session_ptr, NX_SECURE_X509_CERT *certificate_ptr, NX_SECURE_X509_CERT *trusted_certificate_ptr)  Always from the examples i see trusted_certificate_ptr is used for the CA, while the certificate_ptr for the cert received from the server.Then my question is: where i have to load the client certs? Have i misunderstood the certificate_ptr parameter so i have

Hello, this is the ECMF4-40A100N10(MIPI DSI ESD protection). I want to implement it in my design and I was wondering if it matters to connect your positive differential pair signals to D1+ and D2+ and negative to D-. Or can  acually flip them? So I connect my negative differential pair signals to D+ and positive to D-. That way I can route it much easier. Thanks

Hi!Does anyone know if there is a chance there will be a launch of a one-chip-solution for any of these MCU-series during 2025?What I mean is an MCU with large built-in FLASH + RAM preferably with a LQFP100/144-package (like the U5-series).We are prototyping an industry application for smaller product series. The potential extra MCU cost for a chip with large built-in memory would be marginal. We are much more interested in an easier PCB-design, lower PCB manufacturing costs and not to mention an easier hardware maintainability over time.Thanks in advance for any comments

Hello, I am trying to debug an example code on a recently bought AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1 Evaluation Board via AEKSMCU-SPC5LNK using OpenOCD. I am fairly new to Embedded Systems and Eclipse Environment so I have just been following instructions.  And things don't seem as straightforward as STM32CubeIDE.... When I am trying to debug the board, I receive the following error on the console.  Open On-Chip Debugger 0.12.0+dev-00318-g0e98d766e (2023-05-17-15:52)Licensed under GNU GPL v2For bug reports, readhttp://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.htmlStarted by GNU MCU EclipseInfo : Listening on port 6666 for tcl connectionsInfo : Listening on port 4444 for telnet connectionsError: Debug Adapter has to be specified, see "adapter driver" command   Also, I am not sure whether the Board AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1 is alright or not. Should I expect some LEDs to be Switched ON on the board when I connect the usb or the 12V supply? I have attached the screenshots of my Debug Configuration.&nb

Hi!i have a question about the use of byte pool in threadX.in the App_ThreadX_Init(VOID *memory_ptr) i have the pointer to the byte pool is given like that:UINT App_ThreadX_Init(VOID *memory_ptr) { UINT ret = TX_SUCCESS; TX_BYTE_POOL *byte_pool = (TX_BYTE_POOL*)memory_ptr; and i'm using this pointer to allocate memory for thread, queue ecc . now i'm passing the pointer byte_pool to my threads like this:tx_byte_allocate(byte_pool,&pointer,CONSOLETHREAD_STACK_SIZE, TX_NO_WAIT); tx_thread_create(&threadConsole,"console_thread",console_thread_entry,(ULONG)byte_pool,pointer,CONSOLETHREAD_STACK_SIZE,15,15,1,TX_AUTO_START);and i want to use that pointer to allocate memory with tx_byte_allocate for sending via queue pointer to data structure instead of the actual dataexample:VOID *pointer; if(tx_byte_allocate(byte_pool,&pointer,(sizeof(paramRequest_t)), TX_NO_WAIT) == TX_SUCCESS) { ((paramRequest_t*)pointer)->startParamN = 0; ((paramRequest_t*)point

Hello,I am currently exploring the SPC5Studio IDE for developing applications on SPC5 family microcontrollers and have a couple of questions regarding its features:1) Licensing Requirement:Does SPC5Studio IDE require a licensed version for full functionality, or is there a free version available for all users?If there is a free version, are there any restrictions or limitations in its features compared to the licensed version?2) Programming the MCU Using a Debugger:How can I program the SPC5 family microcontroller using a debugger in SPC5Studio?What are the supported debuggers and programming interfaces (e.g., JTAG, SWD) for this IDE?Is there a step-by-step guide available to configure and use the debugger for programming and debugging SPC5 MCUs in SPC5Studio?3) HAL Layer Support:Does SPC5Studio provide support for the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for SPC5 family microcontrollers?I would appreciate any insights or official documentation regarding these topics.Thank you in advance f

We embed LIS3MDLTR on our board that we produce, because this has high sensitivity: 6842 LSB/gauss. This corresponds to 0.146 mgauss/LSB, if I convert correctly. The other products has significanltly lower sensitivity: 1.5 mgauss/LSB. What are you proposing to replace the LIS3MDLTR once it is discontinued?https://www.mouser.com/PCN/STMicroelectronics_15054_1.pdfRegards

Hello,I look at the STM32F103RB datasheet and see that this microcontroller should have 2  ADCs. When I open Table 5 (see Figure 1 below in this post) in this datasheet, I see only ADC12_IN10 and so on, that is, only ADC12. Why?                               Figure 1

Hi guys, I was trying to implement HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA() since I am using freeRTOS. It auto trigger a reset for my stm32f427.Tried HAL_UART_Transmit(), everything works well. Hi,I'm using the STM32U5G7VJT6Q microcontroller to read input from a few switches. All switches should show a high state when unpressed (due to the pull-up resistor) and a low state when pressed (grounded).However, one switch is acting strangely:When it's unpressed, it stays in a low (reset) state, but it should be high.It only changes to high when another switch is pressed.The other switches are working fine.The switch is connected in the following order: TVS diode -> Pull-up resistor -> RC filter -> GPIO pin.The GPIO pins are set as inputs with internal pull-ups enabled.The wiring looks correct, and the pull-up resistor is in place.The other switches behave as expected.Tried removing the tvs diode and capacitor in rc as well, still the same behavior occursNote: No input of the switches are shorted or grounded, the behavior is observed in all the boards we fabricated.Questions:1) What is the possible cause for this behavior?
