Is there a way to make the built-in TouchGFX keyboard act as a numberpad? I just want a way to enter numbers, decimals, backspace, and confirm data entry. This is for the STM32F469I-Disco board.

Hello, I am currently flashing an STM32F767 via the USART. I have no problems getting the device into DFU mode, initiating the flashing (Using STM32CubeProgrammer or stm32flash), etc., but the flashing time is between 6 and 7 minutes for the 1.3MB firmware image even at the maximum guaranteed baud of 115200. Having never utilized this flashing interface before, I'm not sure if this is expected.I was wondering if anyone knew if there were strategies to speed up the flashing over USART and/or an expected size vs flash time one could expect in this configuration? For reference, all my testing is being done on the NUCLEO-F767ZI via pins C11 and C10 using USART. Thank you,-Brian

Hi All, sanity check sought:I'm using the blue pill (STM32F103C8T6) for a audio project powered & controlled through the serial/USB.I'm using the STM32 cube and a dev board for the s/w which looks ok; in terms of software I've followed https://controllerstech.com/send-and-receive-data-to-pc-without-uart-stm32-usb-com/ and that works ok. My concern is with the serial -  assuming the above s/w process outlined in the link, is this everything I need for USB communications hardware wise? Or in general anything I'm missing? For instance:*I've seen resistors on the D+ and D- lines in previous designs, though I'm not sure is these are needed*I'm using the MIC29302WU as I've quite high current demands from the USB (<500mA) to drive a speaker (this explains the LDO's presence / the requirements)*Can the VBAT pin be left unconnected or does it need a pullup/down? even if not used*Boot0 and 1 tied low ok? I'll be using the SWD to flash and won't need to debug/program th

Using STM32 CubeMX ver 6.9.2, if you start a new project using STM32F469I-DISCO board and choose Yes to set all peripherals to their default settings, TIM6 comes up disabled/gray. Why is that? Instead of pinout view, choosing system view, only shows TIM1 in use.Second question on DAC. If DAC output 1 or 2 is enabled, NVIC settings shows TIM6 global interrupt, DAC1 and DAC2 underrun interrupt is automatically enabled & no way to disable it. When testing, even before HAL_init() completes, TIM6_DAC_IRQHandler starts going off. Why is that & how to stop it?

Hi, I am trying to pair STM32WB55 (slave) with windows (master) on a custom setup. While pairing, I am getting this error. The STM32WB55 must have no IO capabilities, and hence configured as No Input No Output. This seems to show that authentication requirements were not met on one of the devices. Where can I find the minimum authentication requirements? Also, what does Pairing KO mean?I am also capturing the BLE traffic on wireshark. The windows sends a pairing request to the WB55 but instead of a pairing response, a pairing failed message is sent. Any help navigating this problem will be appreciated.

I'm sure this is not the right place to ask for this, so apologies for that, but I have suggested this easy change every time the automated survey form comes up (I'm beginning to suspect nobody actually reads them....) Can we have an option that allows you to select the number of posts per page? The default of 10 is not enough. It could (should) be just next to the "Sorted by:" option at the top. (Assume people delete cookies after every browser session, so don't rely on some "preference" that has to be changed deep in some menu system).  I don't visit this site as often as I should, and it would be a great help if I could see many more posts per page. That way I could quickly scroll down (or search) the page to see if there is anything relevant to me.  Thanks.

Dear community,I'm not a big expert of USB and I have a solution based on STM32C0 and I would like to extend it to use USB, STM32C071 is the prefect candidate, but for my big surprise the USB stack is based on Azure RTOS, this is kind of killer for us, actually it will be a nightmare to include it, so my question is there any solution offered by ST which include USB library without the layer of RTOS.Just another question out of curiosity why Azure RTOS was introduced in ST Package in first place.

Hello there,I have created my own project following the preconfigured project "ADC_RegularConversion_Interrupt". In my project I want to get the internal temperature sensor value and want to display it on the terminal thus using the UART example in this project as well. However, I stuck forever inside HAL_ADC_GetValue() function. I am aware about the fact the priority of adc needs to be >= 1 (since only systick can have the highest priority => 0).see adc config below with read temperature function:static void init_adc(void) { adc_handle.Instance = ADCx; if(HAL_ADC_DeInit(&adc_handle) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } adc_handle.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCKPRESCALER_PCLK_DIV4; adc_handle.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; adc_handle.Init.ScanConvMode = DISABLE; /* Sequencer disabled (ADC conversion on only 1 channel: channel set on rank 1) */ adc_handle.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; /* Continuous mode enabled to have continuous conversion */ adc_handle.Init.D

Hi,I've attempted to follow the suggested post template:[VERSION]: 6.3.0[TOOL]: Firmware / MC WB[DETAILS]: FOC failed startup with speed feedback error / extremely poor starting torque[EXPECTED BEHAVIOR]: Motor starts with reduced torque due to sensorless startup, but some at least[HOW TO REPRODUCE]: Profile motor with Motor Profiler, generate basic FOC firmware, attempt to start motor with Motor Pilot.I've been prototyping with a b-g431b-esc1 and a large hobbyist BLDC motor (Kontronik PYRO-380 - https://kontronik.com/en/produkt/micropyro-380-09, as requested by my customer).I've a reasonable amount of experience using ST software tools. I primarily write automotive communications and data logging software....although motor control isn't my day-to-day.Have profiled the motor with motor profiler, which went well. Saved the profile, generated a FOC project and flashed the controller without issue. The parameters generated by motor profiler don't entirely match what I've measured

Hello,I have been trying to connect to the AEK-MOT-TK200G1 using a SPC5-UDESTK.I tried UDE starter kit 5.02.04, and UDE starter kit 2021.05. I'm getting the following error: (Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :Can't connect target !)I have checked all drivers and versions but I still get the same error. Here is my device manager: I ran out of ideas of what to try next. Has anyone got this setup working?  Thanks,Alex

Hi everyone,I'm working on UART communication with an STM32F303RE, and I'm experiencing an issue with data reception. I'm sending the character 'A', but I'm receiving incorrect values (F8F8 instead of 0x41).I tried changing the APB1 prescaler, but the received data remains incorrect. Its sets exactly, how the IOC in IDE cube shows the prescaler with frequency. I dont have osciloscope. #include "stm32f303xe.h" #include "stdint.h" #include "stm32f3xx.h" #include <stdio.h> #define UART2_TIMER 500 #define LD4_ON GPIOA -> BSRR |= GPIO_BSRR_BS_5; #define LD4_OF GPIOA -> BSRR |= GPIO_BSRR_BR_5; volatile uint32_t Tick=0; #include "stm32f303xe.h" #include "stdint.h" #include "stm32f3xx.h" #include <stdio.h> #define UART2_TIMER 500 volatile uint32_t Tick=0; void config_UART(void) { RCC -> AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOAEN; RCC -> CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_PPRE1_2; //PA2_TXAF7 GPIOA -> MODER &= ~(GPIO_MODER_MODER2_0); GPIOA->MODER |= GPIO_MODER_MODER2_1; GPIOA

Hello,I use STM32CubeMX V6.11.1 with cmake version 3.28.1 (the one embedded in STM32CubeCLT_1.15.1) to generate a project for STM32F746G Discovery kit. When trying the new cmake project generation feature in conjunction with CubeAI, the generated project is not building.I get the error:```[build] Starting build[build] Build finished with exit code -1[cmake] -- Configuring done (1.8s)[cmake] Build type: Debug[cmake] CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:64 (target_link_libraries):[cmake] Cannot find source file:[cmake][cmake] C:/projects/st_trials/X-CUBE-AI/App/network.c[cmake][cmake][cmake] CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:38 (add_executable):[cmake] No SOURCES given to target: ai_app[cmake][cmake][cmake] CMake Generate step failed. Build files cannot be regenerated correctly.```This issue is due to the file `cmake\stm32cubemx\CMakeLists.txt` being incorrectly generated and containing two issues: The first one is that all over the file some path are one level too high, for example:```target_i

Hello STM,My STM32CubeMX crashes randomly. I've attached the ioc file so you can run some tests and see for yourself. I tried to make some changes to my original project, and as I reopened the ioc it came up with this message: After that, I created a new project and was able to change things around until I activated the XSPI1 and XSPI2 with the Memory Manager and the Memory Loader. After those changes, I got this message: I lost all the changes in my project and had to start over. That CubeMX software is annoying. If it's not one thing, it will be another. My STM32CubeMX version is: My STM32CubeIDE version is:The attached files are from the test project.

Hello,I bought a RVA35HI-NUCLEO144 Riverdi display that is featured on TouchGFX with a NUCLEO-H563ZI board.3.5” STM32 Nucleo 144 Display Kit - RiverdiHowever I already had a NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board with similar features. How difficult is it to reconfigure TouchGFX generated files to a different device? One answer could be, why not go with suggested board. But please try to see if my request is achievable with some minor manipulation of generated files.Thank you!

We are moving to VL53L4CD.Have it all coded but having a strange experience.  Simplistically we use the sensor continuously and only use GetResult to retrieve the sensor readings (e.g. not CheckforDataReady). So,  simplistically looks sorta like this using the ULD:....VL53L4CD_SensorInitVL53L4CD_SensorStartRanging()while Forever             VL53L4CD_ResultsData_t result;             VL53L4CD_Error VL53L4CD_GetResult(&result);.... This worked fine for the VL53L1X but for the VL53L4CD while all Init, StartRanging and GetResult are returning a status of 0 the reading never changes.  It gets a reasonable reading first but then just never changes.Any idea? Thanks,Will

I am trying to run a VL53L8CX sensor at the maximum advertized speed. Originally, following the marketing for this chip, I had thought that this was possible at the full 8x8 sensor resolution, but later learned that that has a maximum speed of 15 Hz (strangely, an associate of mine was able to get it to work closer to 20 Hz, but no faster). We need to have the sensor running at 60 Hz, even if at a reduced resolution, but all examples we can find online are below that 20 Hz threshold. Does anyone have any advice for settings and configurations to bring this sensor to maximum speed? For example, beyond cutting the resolution down by 75%, do we also have to use SPI? Are there any important clock speed values that have to be set to some specific maximums? For reference, I am running the board with an ESP32 S2 Dev Module board.

I am using a Rivierdi display with their board that uses a STM32H757XIH6. I am using touchgfx and starting with their pre-made example in touchGFX. Their board has a 40 pin connector that give access to I/O. I am using their project as a starting point and trying to change I/O functions to simple GPIO from alternate function however when I make this change, the project ceases to build. Here is a specific example: I changed PD11 to GPIO output from LPTIM2_IN2 using pinout view:I then generated code in CubeMX and tried to build the new project in CubeIDE. The project built fine before the change but failed after this with the following error:make: *** No rule to make target 'C:/TouchGFXProjects/Regal_shutoff/CM7/Core/Src/lptim.c', needed by 'Application/User/Core/lptim.o'. Stop. What do I need to do to clear this?

When I first started testing with the VL53L4CD readings were static.  Meaning,  they never changed.  The first reading was the only reading it would ever give out. However,  comparing the Configuration I had for the VL53L1X I noticed that 0x11 (interrupt above) was instead 0x01.  So,  I tried 0x01 and e

Hello, So I recently received the dev board STEVAL-WBC86TX and was quite impressed with the features. Accidentally the wrong config ID was written to the board. Now I cannot connect to it again using the Windows utility. The USB to I2C appears to be working normally, but there is an error in the log and the device never connects successfully in the GUI, thus, I cannot flash the original config and nvm patch files from the website, provided as STSW-WBC86FWBPP. [TX]WBC86 connection ex: Wrong config id 0xDA06 and patch id 0x0000 for TX" I thought I could edit WBC86.json.enc, which probably contains which ID and such... I'm guessing this is encrypted json. Is there a way to hard reset this chip to restore connectivity to the dev board?

Software VersionsCubeMX 6.13.0 (used H7 MCU package v1.12.0)Issue:Hello everyone, we are encountering an issue that might be related to the HAL (although we think this is unlikely as it is a rather fundamental function of the HAL).We're developing software on a STM32H753BIT6 MCU on a custom PCB. We're making use of CubeMX and the STM32H7 HAL (provided by CubeMX). Currently we are measuring the baud rate of the UART4 that we are using to be half of the expected baud rate (115200). Upon code inspection is found that the uart prescaler is incorrectly calculated. It assumes a peripheral clock speed of 240MHz instead of the configured 120Mhz.See our CubeMX clock configuration:When inspecting the HAL implementation of the uart we see that the baud rate prescaler is calculated using the HAL_RCC_GetPCLK1Freq() function. You would expect the function to return 120000000, but instead it return 240000000.We've narrowed the issue down to the way that the PCLK1 frequency is calculated in the STM32C

Hi,I'm new to the ST32 world and would like to know if this is possible before I start experimenting with an STM32F405:Is it possible to use both USB interfaces as a USB host at the same time (only full speed and low speed, no high speed is required)For example, to connect a mouse to one USB port and a keyboard to the other USB port.If so, can I just use D+/D- of the ports, or do you need additional external components for the high-speed port also when I use it in HS/LS mode?If that works, is there any example software to use 2 HID hosts in parallel? Is there an evaluation board that has USB ports?

Trying to make a phase shift PWM for a DAB converter, i managed to do this exact functionality with normal TIM1 (Asynchronous mode), but im very very lost with HRTIM. I am able to produce complementary PWM signals for TIMA1 and TIMA2, and TIMB1 TIMB2.but no luck synching those TIMA and B with the HRTIM master timer.I guess i just want to have control over that phase difference, babysteps...       /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_HRTIM_SimplePWMStart(&hhrtim1, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_A, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TA1); HAL_HRTIM_SimplePWMStart(&hhrtim1, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_A, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TA2); HAL_HRTIM_SimplePWMStart(&hhrtim1, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_B, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TB1); HAL_HRTIM_SimplePWMStart(&hhrtim1, HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_TIMER_B, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TB2); /* HAL_HRTIM_WaveformOutputStart(&hhrtim1, HRTIM_OUTPUT_TA1); // Enable the generation of the waveform signal on the designated output HAL_HRTIM_WaveformOutputStart(&hhrtim1, HRTIM_OUTPUT_T
