Hello,I need to understand the implementation of using output compare with timers  as a basis to tackle a more advanced project. My start point/goal is a timer with a period of 3 seconds and it toggles when CNT equals 800ms(CCR1). Clock is running at 32MHz. I started with CubeMX using timer 1 and the behavior is not as expected. It just toggles every 3 seconds. When CNT = CCR1 nothing happens.I then ditched CubeMX and the HAL altogether and wrote the code in bare-metal. Same result. I have tried using the debugger to monitor the registers but something is amiss. Any help to understand what I may be missing is appreciated. Attached are CubeMX screenshots and the code(bare-metal commented out)...I commented out Auto generated functions when using bare-metal   /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************

i am using stm32f446re. i am using timer in synchronization mode one timer triggers another timer so my query is master timers triggers slave timer to generate another timer pwm so that triggers value  i want to control so what hal function i use to control this triggers value while code is running then i want to change this trigger value. here is an example what i want-- lets say master generate 50% duty cycle pwm so when master is 25% of its pwm then slave gets trigger to generate its own pwm.so i want to control this 25% value. so what HAL function i use to control this value while code is running.

Hello,I have been developing a program on the NUCLEO-WL55JC1 development board, and I found a bug in the IRTIM module. The reference manual says that, when enabled, the IRTIM module will NAND the outputs of TIM16 and TIM17 and output the signal on a pin. The bug I found is that if TIM17_BDTR.MOE is set before TIM16_BDTR.MOE is set, the IRTIM module outputs a high signal until TIM17 counts to TIM17_CCR1 for the first time. If TIM17_CCR1 is greater than TIM17_ARR, the output stays high forever.I have attached a simple program that demonstrates the issue. It uses STM32 Low Level Drivers and is designed to run on a NUCLEO-WL55JC1. On this development board, the IR_OUT pin is connected to LED2, so you can see the IRTIM output signal. Both TIM16 and TIM17 are configured to always be high, and since IRTIM NANDs the signals together, LED2 should never turn on. However, when the program is initially run, LED2 is on until the first time TIM17 counts to CCR1.I did not see this issue listed in the

Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team,I am currently working with the STWINBX1 kit and the STEVAL-STWBXCS1A, and I have been using the FP SNS DATALOG2 firmware, specifically the hsdatalog_GUI, to capture data from my sensors. While I can successfully capture the data, I am encountering an issue when attempting to export it.The data is being exported as figure (PNG) files, and I am unable to export it to CSV format, which I need for further analysis in NanoEdge AI Studio. Unfortunately, I have not found any option to export the data in CSV format through the HSD Python SDK, nor does the hsdatalog_GUI provide a clear way to do so.Could you please provide guidance on how to export the sensor data to CSV format? Is there any functionality or workaround in the software tools or firmware that allows for exporting data directly into a CSV file?Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated, as I am ready to move forward with my analysis and need the data in a compatible f

Hi,I am currently waiting for the Riverdi RVA35HI display to arrive at my door.On the website (3.5” STM32 Nucleo 144 Display Kit - Riverdi) it says the display is compatible with NUCLEO-H563ZI and NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q and I have already seen the Nucleo-U575ZI + RVA35HI integration in TouchGFX.Since I have a NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q at home and it is quite similar to the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q, can I use the display with the integration in TouchGFX for my MCU or do I have to be aware of anything? Thanks & best regardsZarzi

Hi  , I've a question regarding the EVB in the subject , in the Data brief the Deadtime , with the pot in the center , is about 700ns , that seems to me a lot for the GaN device used .In the previous version ( EVSTDRIVEG60015 ) it was 100ns with the same GaN , is possible to know the reason for a higher value ?ThanksIce

I am working on a project using the built-in LCD display of the STM32H747I-DISCO board. However, the display output shows unintended thin lines and color distortions, appearing as if the colors are breaking. I am unsure whether this issue is caused by a hardware defect in the display itself or a misconfiguration in the IOC settings and debugging process. To troubleshoot, I ran the TouchGFX game example without any modifications, but the same issue persists. I would appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this.....

I'm a little confused about the descriptions of the ADC VDDA, VREF+ and input voltage range.Do I understand it correctly thatVDD is the device supplyVDDA is the ADC supplyVREF+ is the ADC referenceIt says VREF+ can be supplied internally as 1.8 V, 2.048 V or 2.5 V. Range for external Vref+ 1.8V - VDDA.If I want to use an internal reference and I connect VDDA to VDD to save components what is then my input voltage range? Is the input voltage range VSS - VDDA, VSS - VREF+ or VSS - VDD?

Posted on June 24, 2018 at 22:47Hi,When I compile a project, I get an error: '.\Objects\uygulama1.axf' - 1 Error(s), 0 Warning(s). Target not created. Then I click Download, I get an error: 'Flash Download failed - Could not load file'I tried to solve many times and searched on the internet, however it couldn't help me to fix the issue. I wonder why Keil can not make xxx.axf file. I use MDK-ARM Version 5.25I also have a project which has an .axf file. On my project, .axf the  couldn't found. So I copied the file from the project I have. I renamed the .axf file as 'uygulama1.axf'. This clearly worked. But I would like to fix the issue for the next projects. You can see the issue screenshots below. Thanks in advance.#flash-download-failed #target-not-created

I'm trying to debug to SPC582B-DIS board and I'm trying to 2 combination. But I didn't succeed debugging.First, I'm using SPC582-DIS Board rev 1.1 and AutoDevKit Studio version 2.4.0.I installed openodc drivers according to the doc named 'How to use OpenOCD and SPC5-UDESTK in SPC5Studio'.These are located 'AutoDevKitStudio-2.4.0\openocd\docs' and  'AutoDevKitStudio-2.4.0\openocd\drivers'. Second, I'm using SPC582-DIS Board rev 1.1 and AutoDevKit Studio version 2.4.0 and UDE STK 5.2.I installed PLS UDE Driver and UDE STK 5.2 according to 'SPC5-UDESTK Getting Started' manual.I used AutoDevKit to make .elf and wsx. And I Opend .wsx by UDE STK.  I swapped USB Driver in two combination cases.

i tried to build a simple audio player , data from SD-card to USB audio host.audio host is a big mystery , only (in STM world) one (!) example now, with Azure rtos + USBx .(CubeIDE 1.13.1 , H563zit-nucleo board )ok, seem to work now, but SD-card reading with Filex not working - what a surprise. tried to debug, but i cannot find the problem...debug shows access to read low level sectors work, but after ...> 100 sectors reading, first "logical" sector access, then hard fault. always.but i cannot find out, whats wrong here. last sector read seem ok, can see data (FAT32 etc.) , but next read to "first logical sector" gives hard fault...

Hello,I'm using the HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() to communicate to a NOR flash via single SPI in polling mode using HW CS. I'm on H753 Rev.V silicon using the latest HAL library.I checked out the SS output management in master mode (SSOM=1) but made strange observations depending on the baudrate and MIDI settings. For my test here I set MIDI=0 because I am only interested in the MSSI parameter.I found out that if the baudrate is equal or lower than 12.5MHz, the CS signal is set active for the whole transfer, just as expected by me:Note that the flash responds on MISO to the read command. But if the baudrate is higher than 25MHz, the CS signal is set inactive after one or multiple data bytes: Because the command/address/dummy byte sequence is broken by CS pulses, the flash does not respond. It the baudrate is increased, e.g. to 100MHz, CS is set inactive between each single byte. Regarding the RM0433, this should only happen if MIDI is greater than 0:When SSOM=

I need an old version of STM32CubeIDE (1.5.0). I downloaded it a couple of days ago. I wanted to reinstall it, but I removed the installer. Now I want to download it again, and it's not on the list of available versions. Also, the link I downloaded it from (below) doesnt't work. What can i do to download this version?https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/software/sw_development_suite/group0/7f/a1/2b/39/de/c2/44/5d/stm32cubeide_win/files/en-st-stm32cubeide_1-5-0_8698_20201117_1050_x86_64_exe.zip/jcr:content/translations/en.en-st-stm32cubeide_1-5-0_8698_20201117_1050_x86_64_exe.zip

Hi all,I transfer development from STM32CubeIDE to VS code with STM32CubeCLT and STM32CubeMX.By default, the CMake project generated by CubeMX uses C language, but my target language, which includes C++ modules, is supported. I wonder how to add a cpp module to that to make the project by CubeMX or manually change it.Thank you all for reading.

Good day Folks,I am trying to get a simple program working on the STM32N6 Nucleo board, however when debugging an interruptoccurs causing the code just to get stuck in the Default Handler.I am not sure what interrupt is triggering it.This is most likely a 1 line fix, or some arbitrary setting I haven't found yet.Steps:1. Change Boot 1 jumper to VCC2. Connect USB, Red LED2 is On.3. Started a new STM32 project and used the Example Selector. Select and Build GPIO_IOToggle.  4. Make Debug profile and connect5. Wait until main() entered.6. Click Run.. No LED flashing so Pause debugger7. Resetting the Micro just freezes and the device never gets the first main() breakpoint. I was expecting it to return to Step 5.8. Pausing at that point just shows the device is at some address.9. We need to restart the debugger session from scratch: In summary, Pausing the Debugger on Step 6 shows its stuck. I don't believe it's anything related to XSPI3, as adding a handler for it, just makes

Hi,I've been trying to get a MicroSD card working with my H755 Nucleo for the last week. Tricky, isn't it?!I started with a SPI SD-card interface but gave up on that after about several days of pain. My focus now is on interfacing via SDIO, using the SDMMC peripheral on H7 and FATFS with FreeRTOS. I've tried both 1- and 4-bit mode.I have the card initialising OK in MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init(), but calls to f_mount() are failing in check_fs() (in ff.c) which returns FR_DISK_ERR (=4).I've tried multiple different cards.Interestingly I have been able to format a card, but it remains un-mountable, as well as when using an externally-formatted card.I came across https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemx-mcus/stm32h7-how-to-use-sdmmc-with-mdma/m-p/220163  which contains a useful PDF which aims to fill the holes in AN5200 (whoever wrote the section around Figure 14 "MDMA end of data configuration with STM32CubeMx" seems to have lost interest just as they got to the interesting and i

Driving DAC1 channel 1 with         HAL_DAC_Start(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1); ... while (1) { HAL_DAC_SetValue(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R, 4095UL); HAL_Delay(100UL); HAL_DAC_SetValue(&hdac1, DAC_CHANNEL_1, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R, 0UL); HAL_Delay(100UL); }         to generate 5 Hz, 50% duty cycle, 0 - 2.5v. Amplitude as expected but frequency varies from 1 - 4s and duty cycle varies from 20 - 80%: not expected. DAC1 configured like DAC1 clocked at 65 MHz. When I step into HAL_DAC_SetValue() I see where the 0 - 4095 value is written to data register (12-bit, right-aligned). But sometimes after writing 4095 the output pin reads zero; and sometimes after writing zero the output pin reads 2.5v. I can't explain why this happens. DAC Instance following write looks like I am the only writer on the data register.

I am using the ADC on a Nucleo-L412KB board.   I am setting up the ADC for  single conversion once per second. I am getting digital values which are off, as though the Vref is up around 3.4 V.  I have an LM385 voltage reference as a source and have tried a precision bench supply (Power Designs 2005) and with either input, working the math backwards, it is as though Vref is about 100 mV off. I have read AN2834.  This is a simple "get acquainted" exercise, with the board right out of the box. Is there sometihng I could be overlooking?  Am I required to set up Vref?  Or is this handled by default with the HAL initialization? Clyde

Hello,I want to connect STM8S003 & ADXL345 (accelerometer) using SPI 3wire mode (lines ~CS, SCK & MOSI as single bidirectional data line).According to 'RM0016 Reference manual STM8S...', the register SPI_CR2 of STM8S has BDM (Bidirectional data mode enable) & BDOE bits (Input/Output enable in bidirectional mode).I expected to use these bits to control SPI 3 wire connection:SPI_CR2 =   <BDM=1 | BDOE=1 | SSI=1 | SSM=1 (Master)>   - to set STM8 MOSI as outputSPI_CR2 =   <BDM=1 | BDOE=0 | SSI=1 | SSM=1 (Master)>   - to set STM8 MOSI as inputTo exclude possible questions:1. ADXL345+ATmega8 was tested in 4wire & 3wire modes, all is OK.2. ADXL345+STM8S003 in 4wire mode works OK. For 3wire mode I've only disconnected line MISO in hardware.I also can control SPI_CR2 state, chnging it before SPI operations and write the processess using oscilloscope.Test:STM8S transmits 0x80 | 0x2C = 0xAC to ADXL345 then it tries to read the ans

Hello everybody.I have a STEVAL-FCU001V1 board and I would like to use the SPBTLE-RF BLE module included. I have read the board datasheet and it indicates that the module uses the SPI1 pins as an interface, but in the module datasheet there isn't a section for commands or registers, so I wonder how I can control and configure the module, I have found in some posts that it uses the HCI commands, it's correct?Any help will be appreciated.

I have a NUCLEO-G491RE board connected to a PC running STM32CubeIDE v1.17.0. On first connection I was prompted to update the firmware on the board, which I did. On successful completion of the update I disconnected and reconnected the board, but the download failed with the attached message. I have tried several USB cables and also with and without an intermediate USB hub to eliminate these possibilities. What is the solution please?

Hello,I can create a simple program in STM32CubeIDE V1.17.0 targeting the NUCLEO-G474RE board. I can build ok but am having problems with the GDB server starting. JP5 is set to 5V_USB_STLK and JP (BOOT0) is off. I can do the ST-Link Upgrade without problem, so the USB cable and powering is ok.I select Run>Run As>STM32 C/C++ Application and get the following.  STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. I am having trouble receiving data with my Riverdi Display rvt70hssfwca0. I am not sure if it is a software or a hardware problem since when I was testing the RS485 I shorted pin 2 (Signal A - Non inverting) and Pin 1 (Vin - 24V). When debugging this is what I observed.Signal coming from Pin 2 of RS485 port is little over 1V instead of 3.3V while Pin 3 (Signal B -Inverting) is working fine at 3.3V.  When the device connected to the RS485 port replies back both signals (A and B) are at 3.3V. I believe D4 might be damaged because I could see a physical discrepancy on the casing (a little hole). At U2 the incoming signal and the outputting signals seem similar to what was observed at the RS485 connector port. (Outgoing A is ~1V, everything else is 3.3V) This is where I find the main suspect:The receiving signal observed from RO pin (going back to the MCU I suppose) are pulse-like (noise maybe) instead of the expected squared IO signal observed at the port. Hi community :)  today for you I'm ShirleyIm using a STM32F411RE, a SIM7600G and a external eeprom 24LC1025.The SIM7600G will make requests to a web server where HEX files will be stored for the MCU firmware update. However, I noticed that initially, it sends 16 bytes of data, but at some point, it starts sending 8-byte data packets.Would there be any issue if I adjust this behavior by concatenating the data packets in groups of 16 so that I can receive them packet by packet through the SIM7600G? Then, after performing a checksum verification, I would write the data to the external memory, after that i would enter Bootloader mode and write the data to the Flash mem. Here's an example, in the highlighted line says that 8 bytes should be writen in address 08004190h and after that of the next 16 bytes, another 8 bytes should be writen in the same address, the leftover are stored in the next address.
