Posted on January 12, 2017 at 16:35Hello!I have a question about STM32F429-Disco evaluation board. As I see, LD3985 is used to supply the power to all on-board units (MCU, LCD, MEMS, SDRAM and others). But as it is written in LD3985  datasheet, it can provide only 150 mA output current. I think it's not enough for all these modules... How does this board work? =)Thank you in advance!#schematic #ld3985 #stm32f429-disco #evaluation-boards #power-supply

Posted on January 12, 2017 at 00:31On GPIOG, bits 0 and 1 control a pair of LEDs through external drivers. GPIO_ToggleBits() will set or clear the bits and GPIO_SetBits() will set the bits. However, GPIO_ResetBits() will not clear the bits, nor will GPIO_WriteBit(). GPIO_ReadOutputData verifies what I see on the LEDs.Any thoughts? Thanks,jh

Posted on January 12, 2017 at 10:59Hi !First, I use the version 4.18.0 STM32Cube V1.0, and Atollic True Studio 7.0.1, so both are (normally) the last ones.I try to generate, with CubeMX, a project on STM32F417VG, using several libraries, the STM32_USB_HOST_LIBRARY for MSC being one of them. My problem is that I cannot use this project !I generate the project -> I compile -> Works !I generate the project -> I add these lines in the main.h :&sharpinclude ''usbh_def.h''USBH_HandleTypeDef hUSBHost;I doesn't change anything else, and I don't write anything else but it doesn't compile, I have some strange errors. Four of them are about four different macros (USBH_MAX_DATA_BUFFER, USBH_MAX_NUM_ENDPOINTS, USBH_MAX_NUM_INTERFACES, USBH_MAX_NUM_SUPPORTED_CLASS) in the file ''usbh_def.h'' with this message :Macro undeclared here (not in a function)But those macros are declared in usbh_conf.h which is directly included in usbh_def.h.Another error is :USBH_DeviceTypeDef has no member

Posted on December 06, 2016 at 02:50Hi,I am trying to put the STM32F769i_EVAL into system BOOT mode. I can do this successfully with an F429 Eval but not with the F7 Eval. I can see that when I reset it the normal program does not run , indicating that Bot mode has been entered , but it does not respond to the 0x7f (connect ) command.I've tried with both my own known working software loader and the ST flash loader. I am using UART 1 which is otherwise working. Ive tries various baudrates down to 9600.I am pulling up the Boot pin JP1 directly to VDD and resetting the board. Many ThanksImtiaz#stm32f7-boot-mode

Posted on January 03, 2017 at 17:53Hello,I have a CR95HF chip and I would like to set the TVDD power consumption to set a certain battery lifetime in my system. I used the excel tool to set a proper impedance and the formula to calculate current drained from VPS_TX. The problem is that they do not match.I measured the impedance of my own antenna with a miniVNA-pro net analyzer. I used the Excel tool to calculate L0, C0, C1 and C2 values for a 27ohm impedance and I assembled tem. The problem is the final measured impedance of the matching+antenna set was ~51ohm. Also, the current measured at VPS_TX was about 37mA, value that corresponds to a impedance of aprox 78ohm.Since anything is giving the values expected, what should I take as a valid result? How can I measure the final matching+antenna impedance? Thanks#antenna #current #impedance

Posted on January 09, 2017 at 00:16I try use two drivers. I can switch on/off any output channel, but I can't use brightness registers correctly. Manual has description how work with one driver. But if I send brightness data to first driver, a second driver takes that data too. And if I try send brightness data for each driver, both of them listens only second packet. How correctly work with brightness on this driver?#led1642gw

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 11:20Hello,I am trying to find out why STM32F427 is crashing into HardFaultHandler in new batch of PCBs.Please note firmware is proven and is running fine on many boards without any issues, but with new batch of PCBs, microcontroller is not stable at 180Mhz. I found out, that when I decrease clock (HCLK) for example down to 150Mhz, MCU is running fine, but with 180Mhz MCU is falling into HardFaultHandler (from random code locations). Even if i try debug simplest possible 'blink LED' loop firmware. Clock source is 25MHz crystal, power supply 3.3VDC.Did anyone encounter similar issue, any ideas?Thanks.Jan#stm32f427 #180mhz #hardfault_handler

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 12:15Hello,I am using a custom board with a STM32F107VC processor. I am trying to get LWIP working in combination with FREERTOS. I am building using STM32Cube and importing into STM32 System Workbench,I can see DHCP packets being sent from my controller, arriving on the network (seen via wireshark). My DHCP server responds, but the micro controller does not seem to be able to process the message correctly.I can see that the tcpip_input thread is being called because I can put a breakpoint into it. This then progress into sys_mbox_trypost() which seems to be failing with a -1 ERR_MEM which has a note above it 'could not post, queue must be full'Does anyone have any idea what the issue may be?Thank youDaniel

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 15:42We use the STM32F100VC for one of our projects. We were able to order devices marked as STM32F100VCTB (Revision A) and the STM32F100VCT (Revision X). Based on the ordering information of the device the letter 'B' stands for 'internal code'. The errata sheet of the device is only valid for device marked with internal code B. We are not able to find any information about the internal code B and what the difference would be between devices which are marked and which are not marked. There is a difference because the UART1 of the marked devices works and the UART1 of the unmarked devices fails. Has any body any idea for what the internal code B stands and why devices could be ordered with and without this mark?

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 15:42Hello,Here is my issue.I have a 100 KBytes of code in my flash memory and I need to duplicate this code into another part of the memory.I use a copy function to read 4 bytes and copy them in the new memory area and repeat this until all memory has been written. But, almost each try is unsuccessful and severals bytes are not duplicated (~10 to 20) and they are always located at the same flash addresses. (but not continuously)My MCU is a STM32L151CC.Does anybody have experienced this ?Thanks.#flash-memory #duplicate #flash #flash-programming

Posted on January 02, 2017 at 12:42I'm unable to get the printf output in the keil µVision IDE, so I need a https://community.st.com/tags♯/?tags=checklist to know if my setup is correct. In the Keil project, I configured ST-Link Trace with Core Clock 32Mhz and all ITM port ticked (only number 0 needed, perhaps ?).I run the debugger with the 'printf window' open.I tried:printfITM_SendCharAnd nothing shows in the printf window. Is there something I missed to check?#checklist

Posted on January 04, 2017 at 10:39Hi,We have integrated NFC chip to the beagle bone custom board. Posted on October 21, 2016 at 03:55Hi Sir / Madam,After ST95HF has read its peer NFC device, ST95HF RF field is automatically shut down.  I have to initialise it again using the following functions:        ISO14443A_Init( );         ISO14443A_IsPresent();         ISO14443A_Anticollision();May I know how can I prohibit this to happen.  Because when this happens, where the RF field provide by ST95HF is not stable, peer NFC device is unable to smoothly read by ST95HF.  May I know how can I make ST95HF RF field is constantly switch ON when even I have finished reading and writing to peer NFC RF interface ?Thank you for your advice. Please reply soon.Thank you.Cheers,KF #nfc-transceiver-ics---xx95hf #nfc #nfc-transceiver-ics---xx95hf

Posted on January 04, 2017 at 07:53I'd like to migrate a project from using the internal RC on the STM32F091RC to the 8MHz HSE clock that comes down from the on-board ST-LINKV2's MCO signal.  I use STM32CubeMX to generate SystemClock_Config().  On the panel to the left in the Pinout window, I expand RCC and change 'High Speed Clock (HSE)' from 'Disable' to 'BYPASS Clock Source'.When I do that, everything looks like it's good.  The PF0 pin goes green, the Clock Configuration screen lights up the 8MHz Input Frequency at HSE in blue.  If I generate a report, the RCC section says 'High Speed Clock (HSE): BYPASS Clock Source', but when I generate the code, I get the exact same SystemClock_Config(void) I got before the change.  In fact the freshly generated main.c doesn't change at all as result of the different clock selection in the gui.  Any ideas?#stm32f0 #stm32cubemx

Posted on November 22, 2016 at 09:43Hallo,I am trying to solve this problem that I am facing with ADC and DMA use.I use a STM32F303 Microcontroller, with CubeMX vers4.17 and Eclipse.I was able to test and use all the peripherals I needed but I encountered problems with the ADC and DMA.I use the internal Opamps and I want to sample the two analog signals coming from Opamps with ADC1 and ADC3.I followed the tutorial http://tunizem.blogspot.de/2014/09/using-adc-with-dma-on-stm32.htmlAnd with this I was able to succesfully enable ADC1 and sample using DMA1, with the TIMER3 configured as trimmer. Then I tryed only with the other channel, I was able to succesfully enable ADC3 and sample using DMA2 (again with TMR3).The problems come out when I use the two configurations together: the DMA1 buffer is filled with both data coming from ADC1 and data coming from ADC3!! This doesn't happen with the buffer of DMA2 in which the sampled data are still correct.I checked the data both through send

Posted on January 04, 2017 at 02:11Does HAL library has any function that can check for the interrupt status on any given EXT line?  For example,I have configured:    HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI0_1_IRQn, 0, 0);    HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI0_1_IRQn);Now when an interrupt occurs, is there a HAL function to check whether EXTI0 or EXTI1 had caused the interrupt? Thanks.
