Posted on January 29, 2018 at 21:09Hello, I am using STM32F103 and STM32F301. I need to use the SPI that shares the same pin as SWO. Is it possible to move the SWO to a different pin so I can retain the printf to console functionality for debugging?

Posted on January 30, 2018 at 07:16Hi Sir,In the data sheet of ST25TV02K, it introduces that:'Present password command specificity Before doing a present password command, it is necessary to obtain a valid random number through the command ‘Get_Random_Number’ (see Section 6.4.41: Get Random Number) The passwords must be presented encrypted as explained in a Technical Note available on request.'But I don't find the 'Technical Note' to explain how the password is encrypted and presented? As my understand, 1, execute Get_Random_Number command to get a random number (two bytes);2, some rule to generate an encrypted password with the random nuber and raw password(four bytes);3, execute 'Present password' command with the encrypted password. Can you review if I am right and tell the detail for step 2?Thanks,Arna

Posted on January 26, 2018 at 10:45Hi to all,We are usin this accel over i2c with this configuration:* Separate VDD and VDDIO (this one is attached to CS).* SDA and SCL are mounted with a external pull up resistor of 10K.* SDO/SA0 is left unconnected (it is supposed to have an internall pull up).Is there any power up sequence to ensure the i2c mode is properly configured/selected? Any delay between VDD and VDDIO?Powering up both lines to 3V, the VDDIO is not 3V, its in 1.9V or similar. If we disconnect CS from VDDIO. In CS we get a '0' and in VDDIO 3V. Is this normal? And the internall pull up resistor does not lift the pin to high?Is there any example of how to connect the accel for i2c communications? any keynote for the power up?Attached is an image of the mounted sensor were the marking is a dot, a datamatrix and a 'T'.Thanks in advance for your help.#lis2dw12 #i2c

Posted on June 25, 2017 at 19:25Currently the search in the pinout view searches the labels. It would be nice if there was some way to search pin functions, too. Eg., all the pins that have I2C2 anything as their alternate function.

Posted on January 24, 2018 at 01:12Hi I am currently trying to send and receive APDU commands to an NFC PICC. I am using the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 (ST25R3911B) and the STM32F401RE Nucleo Board. For software I am using X-CUBE-NFC5  RFAL middleware and STM32CubeF4 HAL.The Card is a ISO14443A Type 4 ( ISO-DEP)I can read the UID and Type of the Card, but as soon as I try to select the first card (rfalNfcaPollerSelect), the function responds with timeout error ( 0x04).I have gone through the RFAL.chm file multiple times and cant seem to find a resolution to my problem. Am I missing some initialization or setting?Partial Code ( based on example from X-CUBE-NFC5 )void loop(){       rfalWorker();      //code for inductive wakeup then run scanA() //(code not shown to save space)       scanA();}void scanA(){      rfalNfcaSensRes          sensRes;&

Posted on January 28, 2018 at 16:09I am using the STM32H743 together with uVision 5.Are there any example-programs available not using RTOS2 and CubeMX ?What I am missing are simple demo-programs like Blinky ( without RTX ) and a demo-programusing the LCD ( without a GUI, yust a simple output of text would be fine ).I have available a project, the only purpose shall be to switch an LED on,it compiles, links and flashes without error, but nothing else happens...Probably an initialisation-problem but I need a working example to get on the right path.

Posted on January 23, 2018 at 21:51Is there a quick and clever way of inverting a PWM signal in software (I am using timer 2 of the Discovery Kit board/STM32L100)? Was looking for the complementary feature but I don't want a pair of PWMs, just the inverted of the original signal (top). Thanks in advance!

Posted on January 23, 2018 at 17:40Hi,I'm trying to transfer data to SAI's fifo via DMA (memory-to-peripheral). I'm following reference manual's instructions for setting up DMA for SAI.As soon as I enable the DMA channel FEIF4 (FIFO overrun/underrun) flag becomes active. After enabling the SAI2 interface and waiting few clock cycles TEIF4 (Transfer error) flag becomes active and disables the DMA channel. I've attached SAI2 A and DMA2 stream 4 register values below. I have no experience with DMA or SAI so maybe there's something wrong with the registers. If the registers seem OK could this be clock issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please ask more info if you need to.MCU: STM32F446ZESAI2 A REGISTERSDMA2 STREAM 4 REGISTERS

Posted on October 18, 2017 at 18:06Hello everyone. My current project requires working with NFC and RFID interfaces. I use ST M24SR to interact with NFC-powered smartphones, NXP PN532 to read 13.56 MHz cards and inhouse-designed circuitry for reading 125 kHz em-marine cards. So I have three antennas put one inside another. I turn each of these ICs for short moment of time to scan for appropriate tags or phones. If I turn two of them simultaneously collision occurs and weird behavior happen. When M24SR antenna is situated aside others everything seems to be OK. But when I put all antennas together as required by device design I observe following behavior: when I disable RF frontend on M24SR using RF disable, pins AC0 and AC1 behave like a short circuit and act as pretty heavy load for other antennas. So, when activated M24SR is able to interact with smartphone, but all other parts of my device cant properly work. I was thinking about putting RF switch in series with&nbsp

Posted on January 23, 2018 at 16:29Good day everyone,I have a slight issue, I'm storing data in the form of uint16_t data types. This data will be read in from an ADC and have values of 0 and 1. I'll have an array of 192 of these 16 bit values that I'd effectively like to store in a SDcard. The problem is that I can't directly send these to the sdcard using fwrite as it would be completely unreadable, so I'd need to convert it to a char datatype. It seems a little counter-intuitive as char are 8 bit long and I'd need to cast 192 of these 16 bit unsigned integers.I tried doing a cast to wchar_t and it works perfectly in the code. I can cast a uint16_t value to a wchar_t without it seeming at all computationally expensive, although when I try to send this to f_write and send it out I get complete junk.Is there any computational inexpensive way that I can get a uint16_t array[192] into a readable format for text or binary files? Here's a code snippet of what I've used:uint16_t aDST_Bu

Posted on January 22, 2018 at 19:15Hello to all. I noticed that in the latest release of firmware for the STM32F7 (v1.9.0) the example application FatFs_USBDisk no longer works. During any fs_open command, an error is generated, and the app halts. This did not happen in the previous version of firmware for the STM32F7 (v1.7.0).I saw in the product release notes that there was an upgrade of components to the entire FatFs structure. I tried to follow the new rules of operation for the new upgrade (i.e - use updated usbh_diskio files, set block size to 512, etc), but still can't get it to run properly. The folder for the FatFs applications is \STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.9.0\Projects\STM32F767ZI-Nucleo\Applications\FatFs\FatFs_USBDisk.Can somebody verify that they are seeing the same errors as I am seeing here now with this newly upgraded FatFs structure? Thanks so much!!!Chris

Posted on January 12, 2018 at 14:44#Hi everybody,   I try to connect only the antenna (on a handheld device with a spiral cable) on a CR95HF (inside a control unit). Can you let me know how to calculate the circuit parts with this additional parameter?   In the application note (attached file)   Thank you for your help.   Roger.

Posted on November 03, 2017 at 08:15Dear sirs,we have produced more than 10000 pcs of NFC readers based on your ST95HF the design is based on your reference design  EVAL-ST95HF.We experience on a small batch of boards a problem in the reading distance, I have already tried to measure the field of the antenna ad it seems good, even the tag detection procedure starts correctly, but we are not able to read or write the TAG at the maximum distance. As the field seems good, in my opinion it seems a problem in the RX side, so I have tried to reduce the damping resistor Zrx from the default 330Ohm to 220Ohm and now all seems to work fine.I have found some references in the AN4327 that the values should be defined to reduce the Vrx1-Vrx2 voltage below 7V and it seems that this voltage could sampled at pin ST_R0, with the new Zrx value this voltage reaches 9V, and the datasheet says that the maximum limit is 18V. So I suppose to be on the safe side, but  I don't understand w
