Solved

Posted on June 25, 2018 at 13:44Hi all,Is there a way to know if the host PC's COM port is open?My application looks if the USB state is USBD_STATE_CONFIGURED and then starts sending data. In this case my PC application (CVI) cannot open the COM port until I stop sending data.I want to solve this by knowing if the host COM port is open, is there a method to do this?I use STM32L476, CubeMX VCP codeThanks#host #com-port #usb-vcp

Posted on June 24, 2018 at 13:03Hi,I am using the Nucleo-H743ZI development board and trying to make an Interrupt driver for it. The driver has to support changing the vector table contents at runtime. So I made a copy of the vector table in the AXI SRAM at its first address (0x24000000)typedef void(*voidPFn_t)(void);static volatile voidPFn_t newVectorTable[_VECTOR_TABLE_SIZE] __attribute__ ((section('.sram_d1')));void interruptInit() {    volatile voidPFn_t* origVectorTable = (voidPFn_t*) SCB->VTOR;    // copy the content of the original vector table into the new vector table    for(uint32_t i = 0; i < _VECTOR_TABLE_SIZE; i++)        newVectorTable[i] = origVectorTable[i];    // install the new interrupt vector table    SCB->VTOR = ((uint32_t) &newVectorTable);}I succeeded to copy the content of the original vector table and I could see that through the memory window

Posted on June 28, 2018 at 22:54Hi,When memory mapped what is the base address for external QSPI FLASH?I can't find this specified in the data sheet or manual. For the STM32F7 the QSPI base is 0x9000,0000, data sheet table 13.Where is this information for the 'H7'?Thanks.

Posted on May 03, 2018 at 05:29Hi, I'm looking for an op-amp to buffer a signal and provide an output of 2 -> 5V to a load of 100 - 200R. This would require driving the load with 50 - 100 mA. The LMX358IQ2T has a specified output source current of 60-70 mA, but I'm not sure if this just means an absolute max or a max where the output voltage signal will be maintained? Will the voltage output have degraded substantially at roughly this current? If so, what are my options for op-amps capable of driving 50-100mA over 2-5V without significant degradation? Many Thanks,Dave

Posted on June 03, 2018 at 09:31Hi everyone and thanks for the  help in advanceI'm trying to read 4 channels of ADC using stm32f043 MCU and get the results on DMA interrupt, the problem I'm having is that I can only get accurate and fix results from one channel and although the signal is steady, the reading on all other channels are bouncing and changing constantly , I have tried to decouple the line using different capacitors and also I have taken the VSSA and VDDA from the hardware design file from ST.how can I get steady readings from all my ADC channels?again thanks in advanced #stm32f0 #hal-adc #dma-adc

Posted on June 27, 2018 at 09:22Hello,I'd like to know what happen when to 2 tags of type 5 are in the vicinity of a reader ( par example a reader based on the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1). The 2 tags can be detected simultaneously? Only the nearest tag will be detected? None of the tags will be detected because they will disturb each other?#multiple-devices-simultaneously #nfc05 #tags-and-readers #nfc #tag-type-5

Posted on June 27, 2018 at 16:17Dear Community,I’ve just installed the STM32F4cube from SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.26.0.exe  but I cannot find the “Hundreds of examples for easy understandingâ€ mentioned on https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubef4.html  or in AN4739. Unfortunately the installer hasn’t installed a folder having a similar name like STM32Cube_FW_F4_VX.Y.Z\Projects\. .I would be very glad if someone could give a hint how to also instal those examples.

Posted on June 26, 2018 at 20:23Hello, I have a PCB with LCD, SD-Ram, QSPI, CAN bus, SD card and everything works fine. I use a STM32F769Bi (208pins LQFP). Now I think the temp of the STM32F7 is very high (80-85deg). Normally I work with Stm32f103 and have no temp problems. (practically no temperature increase). Does anyone have experience how much temperature is ok or do I have a PCB problem?#stm32f768 #heat-problem

Posted on March 23, 2018 at 15:16Hi,    I'm trying to use simple IRDA IT communication. I am using Interrupt to receive data. I set for 7 bytes to receive data and when 6th array  character is taken, I transmit data. But with second cycle, the received data is crashed by somethings. If receive data is used alone without transmit, then there is no problem, However, while either receive and transmit functions are used,  the received data became unreasonable. Posted on June 22, 2018 at 01:44Hello,We implemented USB Host on a product based on STM32F427 MCU. Now we try to test it on USB-IF compliance program. But it fails to satisfy the USB-IF requirements.Questions we have:1. Does USB Host support USB Hub? We have to put a hub between the USB Host and the USB Device for the USB-IF testing. But once we do it, it looks like the device enumeration can't start.2. Is it possible to make USB Host pass USB-IF compliance program? Thanks!

Posted on June 21, 2018 at 00:36Hi all, I'm working with the LIS3DSH accelerometer which is the accel2 click board on the raspberry pi. I was able to get the angles of x, y, and z-axis based on the binary reading and I was also able to determine the roll and pitch of the accelerometer based on the equation I found in the datasheet. The question I have is, how am I let it suppose to know that it has done a full 360-degree turn? As of now, it knows that when I turn the accelerometer tune 90 degrees, it shows me the angles of x and z plane with respect to the z-axis. As soon as the threshold gets more than 90 degrees, it resets to zero and does the math again. I am not able to implement it based on the figure I found in the datasheet which I have attached below, along with a snippet of my code which calculates the angles based on the readings outputted by the accelerometer. You can have a look at my whole '.c' code as well, which I have attached. How am I to do this?#

Posted on January 14, 2018 at 09:25Hello,In our Evaluation board of the STM32L486QG we encounter in strange behavior of the MCU.When the power supply turned off and on quickly we saw that sometimes the MCU start to getting in to loops of IWDG.We are using the LSI as the IWDG source and we saw that when it happens the frequency of the LSI is ~ 48KHz and not as it should be ~ 32KHz.We are not sure that this simptom is the problem, and we will apprciate your help.Another thing that we noticed is that if the MCU voltage supply did not discharge to 0V but to around 0.7V the registers in the backup domain does not clearing. We saw that for example LSERDY bit does not clear. Is there any power-down and power-up sequance that we need to follow? Thanks in advanced,Shachar#stm32l4
