I am using STM32. I can read the NDEF file from M24SR via I2c but I want to to delete it after reading so do I erase? I didn't found any example of erasing in app note.

Hi,I am trying to enable free-fall interrupt on INT1 and wake-up on INT2. However only free-fall on INT1 works. Here are the register settings:CTRL_REG1 = 0x6F // 200Hz ODR, enable XYZCTRL_REG2 = 0x00 // disbale HP filterCTRL_REG3 = 0x40 // IA1 Interrupt on INT1CTRL_REG4 = 0x30 // +- 16g FSCTRL_REG5 = 0x0A // latch both interruptsINT1_THS = 0x02 // 372mg threshold for free-fallINT1_DURATION = 0x03 INT1_CFG = 0x95 // setup free-fallCTRL_REG6 = 0x02 // IA2 Interrupt on INT2INT2_THS= 0x10 // wake-up threshold 3gINT2_DURATION = 0x00 INT2_CFG = 0x2A // setup wake-upI suspect it has to do with CTRL_REG6. I'm assuming "interrupt 2" refers to the interrupt selected in INT2_CFG, which in this case is wake-up? Regards,Kevin S

Hi,I am reading data out from two LIS3DHs. All works as expected until the full scale is set to +-16g.According to the data sheet, when FS is 11 and low power mode is enabled, each LSb in the data output registers represent 192mg. Low-power mode gives a 8 bit output in the OUT_X/Y/Z_H registers. The maximum value of a 8 bit 2's complement number is 127, and thus the data output registers can in theory show 127*192mg = 24g. This exceeds the +-16g threshold. Does this mean that in low-power mode and +-16g full scale, the number in the data output registers can never exceed 16000mg / 192mg = 83? I am getting values such as 127 and -128 from the data output registers, which don't make sense to me. I believe my register configurations are correct, as I was able to read (0, 0, 5) when the accelerometer is placed flat on the ground. 5*192mg = 960mg, which is close enough to 1g considering the limited resolution.Regards,Kevin S

I'm trying to use the X-CUBE-NFC5 Code in an freeRTOS Project. With only one Task it works well, but when i try to add an other Task it does not. Depending on Task priorities the demo cycle is still working but all other tasks are starving or it even does not work at all. What am i doing wrong?

I'm trying to debug an application running on a STM32F722 on a custom board. Right now I'm using Atollic TrueStudio and (an original) J-Link EDU.Flashing works totally fine, but when I try to debug, the debugger will throw an error when hitting some breakpoints. In fact, the debugger stops normally at breakpoints in main.c and functions called from main.c, but when reaching breakpoints in functions triggered from external interrupts, it fails with this message:ERROR: Can not read register 15 (R15) while CPU is running  [when BP is hit]Reading all registersERROR: Can not read register 0 (R0) while CPU is runningERROR: Can not read register 1 (R1) while CPU is runningERROR: Can not read register 2 (R2) while CPU is runningERROR: Can not read register 3 (R3) while CPU is runningERROR: Can not read register 4 (R4) while CPU is running...The complete debug log as well as the debug script are attached.The even weirder part is that this has happened before when using a Nucleo board

MCU : STM32F446RETCubeMX Version : 4.26.1===Hi! I'm currently developing usb CDC(Communication Device Class / USB-OTG-FS) through STM32CubeMX.When I upload the automatically generated code without changing any settings, the usb device will not be recognized properly as follows.(Error code 10)However, following this YouTube video https://youtu.be/oDoavXrQdEg, change the CDC_DATA_HS_MAX_PACKET_SIZE value of usbd_cdc.h file from 512 to 256, and you can see that it is normally recognized.Is this a problem with the STM32CubeMX library?Thanks! =)

Afternoon Everyone,I'm using an stm32f722zeI'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or misunderstanding the working of the SPI (it could be either) but I have it up and running.I've got a SPI implementation in slave mode with DMA, like this:static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) {   /* SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_SLAVE; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_12BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_HARD_INPUT; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 7; hspi1.Init.CRCLength = SPI_CRC_LENGTH_DATASIZE; hspi1.Init.NSSPMode = SPI_NSS_PULSE_DISABLE; if (HAL_SPI_Init(&hspi1) != HAL_OK) { _Error_Handler(__FILE__, __LINE__); }   }And the DMA: hdma_spi1_rx.Instance = DMA2_Stream0; hdma

I’ve an weird issue with one of my boards. On the code where the clocks are initialised(it’s the default code generated by Cube), the mcu gets stuck on the line, HAL_Pll_Enable and it continuously restarts the mcu every 6ms. But the same hex file, works good in another board. For details, I use an external crystal set to run at 12MHz and once the mcu is on and if I put a breakpoint, I can monitor the output of the crystal, Rcc_osc_out and Rcc_osc_in to be precisely 12MHz.if i configure the system clock to use HSE instead of PllClk, then it works, but I want the board to work with pll to a frequency of 72MHz. This is the first time it’s happening and I’ve no clue where to pinpoint the issue since the core keeps restarting without providing any fault reports or setting some error bits. And when it restarts, I get this warning during debug mode, “cannot access target.? Can someone shed some light on this issue?thanks !

I am trying to measure the power consumption for Nucleo-144 board.Here is my configExternal power supply 8VJP6 to VINConnect Fluke multimeter to power supplyConnect multimeter to CN8 pin 15Connect ST-LinkCall HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() or LL_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN) force system going standby/shutdown mode.Is the config correct? Hello, I was trieng to use STM32Mat (with simulink) and came across some errors.I discovered that the HAL Library was updated but the STM32Mat wasn't.I'm willing to code everything by hand without using Simulink but I would need documentation on the CAN functions. Is this information provided somewhere?best wishes, Jannis Dohm

Hi,Our device sometimes turns on from Standby by itself. The only wakeup sources enabled are a couple of wakeup pins.I saw the device reset (from standby) by itself, and the PINRSTF flags in RCC->CSR was set. The reset pin has 100nF capacitor to Gnd (it has an internal pullup according to the datasheet), and it is not connected anywhere, there's no option of performing external reset.On another occasion the WWDGRSTF flag was set, and I do not use the Window Watchdog. My application uses Independent Watchdog, but power off is done by software reset, then the bootloader 'sees' no button is pressed and so it puts the system in Standby, with no watchdog set.I did some experiments, and when I turn on the device from Standby (by wakeup pin) the PINRSTF flag is set with no apparent reason.Ideas?

I have been using the fast ODR setting to reach magnetometer data rates higher than 80hz. I have noticed that there are spikes of about +/- 250 in the data at higher frequencies. After some research, it seems this is caused by reading registers while the device is also updating those values.My question is are there any undocumented side effects of this fast ODR setting? I am wondering this because setting these higher data rates is not documented in the LSM9DS1 datasheet, but rather in the LIS3MDL datasheet.

Hi All,I have implemented a bootloader on STM32L152RC device. The bootloader is located on 0x8000000 flash address and checks if a new version of firmware is available. If not, it jumps to the flash address 0x8004000, so the previous version of firmware will run.My question is: What happens to the registers that have been initialized in the bootloader program? For example, I use SPI3 and GPIOB in the bootloader. Should I reinitialize them after jumping to the new program address?Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I am trying to setup a DCMI example with NUCLEO-H743ZI, the DCMI interrupts work fine, but DMA abrot when transferring the first data and TEIF is set.The project was setup with CubeMX, and more detail changes is in the git log. I didn't use cache and I've tried to align the buffer, but the problem remains. The Reference manual suggests the following, but I can't figure out what's wrong and how to fix it.The transfer error interrupt flag (TEIF) is set when:• A bus error occurs during a MDMA read or a write access• The address alignment does not correspond to the data size• The block size is not a multiple of the data size (for source and/or destination): this error is activated on the last transfer and the error address points to the last transfer (which cannot be done)Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I tried to download the x-cube-eeprom libary for the stm32l4 devices.When press the "Get Software" button on the https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-eeprom.html site nothing happens when im logged in to my account

Hi there!We are using nucleo embedded board for one of the application in IOT. We could like to sell this product to end customers, so is there any rules & regulation which we have to follow to sell this product.

I am using a mixed LL-HAL setup on an STM32F072 target. Although the HW transmits a CAN message using HAL_CAN_Transmit_IT(), it appears that the CAN interrupts do not execute. There seem to be two-ish parts to this problem:(1) The Main interrupt handler in the HAL libraries seems to be HAL_CAN_IRQHandler(&hcan). Looking at the startup_stm32f072xb.s file, it seems that the IRQ is combined with the CEC handler: CEC_CAN_IRQHandler(). I have created this function, following that of the other LL libraries, in the stm32f0xx_it.c file. It calls the HAL_CAN_IRQHandler() indirectly. Unfortunately, it seems that CEC_CAN_IRQHandler() does not get called, even when the TME interrupt is enabled after boot. (2) Since this is an LL-HAL mixed setup, I don't use the HAL NVIC functions, but rather enable interrupts though the LL functions, or specifically for CAN, through __HAL_CAN_ENABLE_IT which is direct register access. Is there something special that must be done in addition to (1) registering

Hi I am having issues with playing sound through the audio out jack. I have gone through the BSP examples but what's lacking for me is the correct setup of the pins. At the moment I have set up -SAI2 Block A (Master) - (I2S/PCM enabled)I2C3 I2S3 DMA for SAI2 Block A Am I missing anything with regards to the correct initialization in regards to getting audio to play out through my speakers? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,I'm trying to have complementary outputs with dead-time on CH1/CH2/CH3 and CH1/CH2/CH3N using TIM1 and Output Compare Mode on STM32F429.So I configured STM32CubeMX like in the picture below :And there is the portion of my code :(for testing purposes, a button press changes the state of CH1/CH1N)void TIM1_ItUpFcn() { if (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(GPIOA,GPIO_PIN_0)==1) { TIM1->CCER = 4; } else { TIM1->CCER = 5; } }That code changes CC1E/CC1NE bits.As a result,on the scope, I do get my complementary outputs on CH1 and CH1N, they invert each other when I press the button, but with no deadtime! I don't understand why i don't have that deadtime, like explained below :

I'm creating a context switch program for a personal mini ARM kernel project and the context switch program is written entirely in Assembly.
