I am working on a hard fault handler were I want to store some key values into ram before resetting. This data will then be further handled at next boot up.My problem is that the data does not get written into RAM unless I step through the writing code with a debugger. I am using the NVIC_SystemReset for resetting which comes with the STM sdk and looks like below.** \brief System Reset \details Initiates a system reset request to reset the MCU. */ __STATIC_INLINE void NVIC_SystemReset(void) { __DSB(); /* Ensure all outstanding memory accesses included buffered write are completed before reset */ SCB->AIRCR = ((0x5FAUL << SCB_AIRCR_VECTKEY_Pos) | SCB_AIRCR_SYSRESETREQ_Msk); __DSB(); /* Ensure completion of memory access */   for(;;) /* wait until reset */ { __NOP(); } }According to the documentation the __DSB() macro should take care of ensuring that any pending memory writes are completed.Since the data gets written when stepping through with the debugger I am

Posted on February 21, 2017 at 04:11Hi Everyone,I was looking for a tool that was able to bootload an STM32F767 microcontroller via USART which I thought I found when I came across the STM Flash Loader Demonstrator (version 2.8.0). However, there was no '.STMap' memory map file for this processor family, the closest was STM32F74X/5X.  I created a new memory map file for the STM32F767 (see attached) which allowed me to successfully connect to my micro using the Flash Loader Demonstrator. However, I cannot perform an erase, program or download. The error message that I receive says 'Fail. Check read/write protections'. However, when checking the flash readout and write protections they are disabled. Has anyone had success getting this flash loader tool to work for STM32F76X parts?Also, does anyone know the meaning and significance of 'BID' in an '.STMap' file? I am currently using 'BID' for STM32F74X/5X parts - maybe this could be the source of the problem?

Hi, I interface Controller with ST25DV04K and able read and write registers , when i am working on I2C protection on Area1 to 4, In both I2C security session close and open mode i was able to read and right even though i set the Area 1 to Area 4 permission in I2SS register , Could you pls let me know any additional things need to handle ?

the time clock (RTC) on this device (STEVAL-SMARTAG1) seem to be off after half day of running, is there a fix available ?

Hello, I have a problem to communicate with 24LC02B memory. If I look with the logic analyzer, no data on CLK and DATA pins. Here is my code. What is wrong?Thank you#define I2C1_DEVICE_ADDRESS 0x50 #define MEMORY_ADDRESS 0x08 uint8_t xBuffer[1];   __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_AFIO_CLK_ENABLE();   GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_OD; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = I2C_SDA_Pin; HAL_GPIO_Init(I2C_SDA_Port, &GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_OD; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = I2C_SCL_Pin; HAL_GPIO_Init(I2C_SCL_Port, &GPIO_InitStruct);     I2C_EEPROM.Instance = I2C1; I2C_EEPROM.Init.ClockSpeed = 100000; I2C_EEPROM.Init.DutyCycle = I2C_DUTYCYCLE_2; I2C_EEPROM.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0x00; I2C_EEPROM.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0x00; I2C_EEPROM.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_AD

I attached a battery to my STM32, and my RTC is now keeping the time when the board is not powered.But when not powered, the clock is also not advancing, which means that when I power on the board, the RTC shoes the time when I powered off the board.What else do I need to set here so that time remains accurate?

I've an STM32F103C8T6 CPU, but I can't find appropriate linker file. The closes file is `STM32F101XB_FLASH.ld`. Can I use it with change following line (#43):FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 128KtoFLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 64Kor there are other differences?

Hi,I'm trying to write some code using STM32CubeMX And HAL H7_V1.3.0.I was trying to use the Receiver Timeout feature of USART6, but there are a few places where it was missing:CubeMX did not allow me to configure this option, but this was easy enough to change in the user codeWhen I wanted to use the interrupt associated with this feature, I found that there is not way to define it with the __HAL_UART_ENABLE_IT function. There is a list of available interrupts, and the Receiver Timeout Interrupt is not one of them.Does anybody know if this feature will be supported in future versions of CubeMX and HAL?Is there a way to bypass this?Thanks in advance,Yan

Posted on February 16, 2018 at 20:28Hi,I'm trying to run an example program - BLE_Sensor DEMO - built from sources.I am using TrueSTUDIO for STM32 (v.9.0.0). The sources are from BlueNRG-1.2_DK_2.6.0 kit.Unfortunatelly, when I download the image, the board does nothing: no led blinking, no BLE communication.However, when I download prebuilt image (from Firmware folder in the development kit) it works fine.What I am doing wrong?Kind regards,Piotr

I am interested in using one of the Nucleo boards, either F401RE or F429ZI (these two are both supported by Zerynth ide) but I need 15 adc channels. The 401 has 1 adc with 16 channels, the 429 had 3 adcs and 24 channels. But in all the documentation it appears that not all the adcs are available. On both boards they seem to stop at 6, which is what the Arduino Uno offers. Both boards have a lot of other (non Uno) pins available but I have not been able to find in any of the documentation what the pins are for. I wold hope that 10 of them (on the 401) would be the other 10 adcs. Can anyone please point me in the direction of some documentation that shows the whole pin map for these boards?Thanks,Ian

Hello,I have a board on my desk where the RES pin (#5) of LIS2HH12 is not connected.The data sheet says, Connect to GND. OK ... not good ...As I do not get any response of the accelerometer via I2C, I would like to know if this pin is the reason. I can't easily connect it due to the package ...Does RES stand for RESET or does anyone from ST can confirm that connecting RES not to ground results in having no I2C access?Thanks.

When i looked into the doc , i found that "To be usable on any MCU, this driver calls several IOBus functions.  The IOBus functions are implemented outside this driver, and are in charge of accessing the MCU peripherals used for the  communication with the tag",  could you pls share if any document steps available to port driver on different micro ?

Hello, I have some problems with my STM32F446RE (Nucleo-64 )and terminal program (as puTTY and so on).I connected it by its usb connector (CN1) and it was recognized as Virtual Port: Well!So I opened STM32Cube MX and set:-STM32F446 board.-USB_OTG_FS, as Device only (no VBus or SOF).-USB_Device as CDC (Communication Device Class)RCC clock is HSC with Crystal/Ceramic Resonator , 8Mhz Input Frequency, 168Mhz HCLK and 48Mhz to USB.I have generate code for Keil (and for Atollic too, with the same effect).So I modified main.c by-Inserting: #include "usbd_cdc_if.h"The "int main(void)" function now is:int main(void) { /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(); uint8_t Text[] = "Hello\r\n"; HAL_Delay(1000); while (1) { CDC_Transmit_FS(Text,6); HAL_Delay(1000); } }in "usbd_cdc_if.c" I set:#define APP_R

Hi;Can not interrupt CAN BUS application?I'm using the following codevoid HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(CAN_HandleTypeDef *hcan){ HAL_CAN_GetRxMessage(&hcan1, CAN_RX_FIFO0, &RxMessage, RxData);}

HiI wrote a little CEC application. Unfortunatly communication with other devices didn't work well.I used a logic analyzer to find the problem.The error is in the IRQ function HAL_CEC_IRQHandler:[...] if((reg & CEC_FLAG_TXBR) != RESET)  {   if (hcec->TxXferCount == 0U)   {     /* if this is the last byte transmission, set TX End of Message (TXEOM) bit */     __HAL_CEC_LAST_BYTE_TX_SET(hcec);     hcec->Instance->TXDR = *hcec->pTxBuffPtr++;   }   else   {        hcec->Instance->TXDR = *hcec->pTxBuffPtr++;     hcec->TxXferCount--;   }    /* clear Tx-Byte request flag */   __HAL_CEC_CLEAR_FLAG(hcec,CEC_FLAG_TXBR);  } [...]The error is in line    if (hcec->TxXferCount ==

Hi guys i am trying to find alternate function map to AF0,AF1 and so on but i did not find that in datasheet where is that i am using stm32f303re from nucleo-64.

My daily use IDE is Atollic, my board used to have a single 6 pin connector for programming, and everythin worked fine since I can remember.The new hardware guy decided to add another connector to program the MCU (STM32F4), and our new board ended up like this:He also insisted that we should use the 4 pin connector, and promptly made new cables for everybody in the team. Despite being identical and respnding normally to the meter continuity test, some of the cables worked and others didn't.My cable worked for almost one week, but after some time I started receiving script error messages from the IDE. Apparently, it was unable to verify the flash.I tried to use my old 6 pin cable, but it seemed that my programmer was gone. As I'm the only developer (the other guys only have to make occasional updates), I started borrowing their gear.In a matter of hours, all the programmers I had borrowed were gone. They didn't work with Atollic, neither with STM32 Cube Programmer. The hardware guy said

Posted on September 21, 2017 at 16:11As we know,RFID has a big market.But we only use R2000 by Impinj to develop new reader.The R2000 is not open source system.So we need a new chip to instead of it. So when do we use the demo of ST25RU3993 or other UHF reader chip by st team?We also need the code in the local.

Posted on April 29, 2018 at 16:25Hi,As though there are libraries available for Mac OS X, my simple application randomly (almost always) crashes, and it has something to do with the dynamic libraries provided, specifically streader.dylib.Any thoughts would be appreciated.I'm running a MacBook Pro with macOS High Sierra version 10.13.4.My code:public static void main(String[] args) throws STException { stReader = new STReader(); boolean connected = stReader.connect(); connected = stReader.connect(); RFGenericReader mActiveRFReader = stReader;        if (connected) {        System.out.println('Connected!');                 String name = mActiveRFReader.getName();        System.out.println(name + ' is connected');                 stReader.initialize();        List<byte[]> uidList = new ArrayList<>

Тhe document  «UM2268 User manual ST25RU3993-EVAL board software» describes the graphical user interface software (STSW-ST25RU001) for the ST25RU3993-EVAL board.  In the Reader Settings window of STSW-ST25RU001 be present Frequencies panel with possibility selection Profile frequency band (for different regulatory regions). However, in product version 1.5.6.0, this option is absent.

I cannot find the corresponding pins on MCU to the I2C Grove connector located on the fanout board. Currently I have an acceleromater connected to the Grove connector and would like to collect data from that. I have tried to open a new CubeMX project but cannot find the STM32L4R9I-DISCO board. I only see the STM32L4R9I-EVAL board. Please help.

Posted on March 21, 2018 at 13:27Hello there,I am using the STM32L4 family MCU. In my hardware design, only after the USB cable is connected the voltage is applied to the VDD_USB pin of the MCU. At no USB connection this voltage is not present.As a follow-up to this discussion, I am trying to configure everything now: https://community.st.com/0D50X00009XkhQCSAZ My problem consists of 2 sub-problems: I cannot get the PVM1 (EXTI35) interrupts to work.I dont know what is the PVM1 wakeup time.The procedure described in the datasheet is as follows:What I do is the following: I enable the PVM1 interrupt:In the generated code I see it is enabled:/**  * Initializes the Global MSP.  */void HAL_MspInit(void){  /* USER CODE BEGIN MspInit 0 */  /* USER CODE END MspInit 0 */  __HAL_RCC_SYSCFG_CLK_ENABLE();  __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE();  HAL_NVIC_SetPriorityGrouping(NVIC_PRIORITYGROUP_4);  /* System interrupt init*/  /* MemoryManagement_IRQn interrup
