Hi. I am trying to update my board using STM32WB Copro Wireless Binaries. But, I am getting following error: I cannot download the image. Can you please help me with this issue? I can flash the board but cannot use bluetooth functionality.

Hello,We are working on implementing a custom FOC control for hoveboards on the stock boards that feature an STM32F103RCT6 with 2 phase current measurement. However, we encounter issues when measuring the Phase currents. They appear to be noisy with high peaks (see attached picture).https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/24780745/60458354-b0d27a00-9c3e-11e9-99ca-e87e29aa17ed.pngThe problem could be that we do not trigger the current measurement at the right moment, when the lower MOSFET is conducting. Thus, I am asking if you can review the settings for the DMA interrupt by the timer?More exactly, to review the following files:master/Src/setup.cmaster/Drivers/STM32F1xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32f1xx_hal_adc_ex.hAll the files can be found on github (along with the full project) here:https://github.com/EmanuelFeru/hoverboard-firmware-hackEDIT: For more details, there is an open issue on this topic on github:https://github.com/bipropellant/bipropellant-hoverboard-firmware/issues/41We would gr

On an STM32F429ZI, I'm using USART3_RX to receive information via DMA into a circular buffer. The buffer is 4096 bytes long.If I send 1 or 2 bytes at a time (i.e. with a delay of ~100ms+ between transfers), things work correctly. By "work correctly" I mean the NDTR register is updated and the values I send appear in the circular buffer. If I send 3+ bytes at once, the transfer gets aborted:Only the first 3 bytes show up in the buffer, and NDTR is decremented by 3The stream EN bit is changed from 1 (enabled) to 0 (disabled). The DMA1->LISR:TCIF1 bit is set to 1.In other words, it's as if the microcontroller thinks the transfer is complete. However, it's clearly not complete as NDTR != 0. And it only appears when I send 3+ consecutive bytes with no delay between them. The values in the DMA register appear to be correctly configured, and do not change apart from EN and NDTR as noted above:DMA1 stream index 1 detailed description: - CR: SxCR_CHSEL=100 SxCR_PL=01 SxCR_MINC=1

Hello,we want to build a system with STM32H7, hopefully one of the new up to 480 MHz devices. And we really need a high clock of 400 MHz and above. On the other hand we need low power and we use ADC and DAC, both requiring a 3.3V Vref. Now my question is if we can turn down Vdd to 1.8V to minimize the power loss in LDO voltage regulator, while keeping VddA and Vref at 3.3V.I searched the data sheets but couldn't find any relations between Vdd and VddA. (which would be a yes to my question but still leaves me a bit insecure, maybe I missed something)Thanks for any helpMartin

I try to add a very simple screen to my project. It always crashed when I try to add a box as background. It ends up with the infinite loop in startup assembly file. Here is what I found so far:I can draw a smaller box(50x50). if I decrease speed of LTDC clock to a certain value, I can draw any size of box I want. But the screen gets flickering for the lower refresh rate.I am using f7 and has set clock and SDRAM to maximum speed. Does anyone has similar issue? Is there any settings to improve this issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi, it looks like the Cortex M4 core in SMP32MP1 doesn't have flash memory or something like eeprom that can be used as non-volatile memory. Is there any "best practices" to give non-volatile data to the Cortex M4?

I am working on STM32L462 MCU. I would like to know about the UART usage for the boot-loader communication with host. By using this MCU, I am able to work with the USART2 but same is not with USART3. Also, attached snapshot shows that for USART3 (PC10,PC11) pins used but that type of pins is not available in STM32L462 (PB10,PB11). So, please confirm whether USART3 is working with boot-loader or I have to choose from either USART1 or USART2?

Hello,I am trying to configure the f469i-disco kit for TouchGFX. I only get left half of the gui with a background of random RBG pixels.CubeMX configuration:Default periph configurationChanged LCD-tft clock to 25MHZ(from 36)All modes in ltcd, dma2 and touchgfx changed to RGB888 (from 565)Changed horizontail active, layer width and horizontal stop to 400 (as mentioned in MOOC graphics, because screen is split in 2parts)TouchGFX set PhysicalX to 800, Y to 480Can someone help me a bit? I tried changing settings with no success, I guess that the problem is in LTDC settings. In debug mode:after the DSI_init background gets pixelated by random rgb pixels. When Scheduler starts, only half of actual screen from TouchGFX is drawn. I can change orientation in DSI_init to landscape, but still get only half of screen correct.Any help is appreciated.

The Eval kit GUI allows to evaluate the ST25RU3993 whatever the regional settings/frequency are (840 - 960MHz). This wide-freq version seems to be reserved for evaluation purpose only while the standard version is freq limited (to match regional regultaions). The development we are dealing with is a test equipment where we would need a multi region version. Is there a way to access the full version of the S/W? Is so what are the terms and conditions?Warm regards ACD

Hi, i hope you are all goodI use the node B-L072Z-LRWAN1 with the example “end node? of the stack “STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN?, the objectif it’s to send data of sensor to lora server. and I managed to send “int? or "floa"t without problem to my lora server as first step.on the other hand, I made a program of UART communication of the “B-L072Z-LRWAN1? thanks to STM32CubeMX, and it’s working well.Unfortunately I don’t know how integrated all the code that STM32CubeMX generated in the “end node? project to send my UART data.thanks in advence.

Posted on August 16, 2017 at 14:40We have purchased an EVLpowerstep01 and a STEVALPCC009V2. We installed the SPINFamily software on our Windows10 64-bit computer and on connection it states 'The FW version is not the last, upgrade to 2.7'. The doco states this is done via the IBUUI updater, but when this runs it states it cannot access the IBUUI.inf driver. However, it is looking in the wrong folder (an XP folder) and apparently cannot see the IBUUI.inf file sitting there. This is a poor start to our initial research into using the powerstep01 in our new high power stepper controller. What are our next steps?Ron KreymborgR&D ManagerKremford Pty Ltdkremford.com.au

Hi everyone!I am trying to create a new STM32 project (not based on STM32Cube) that uses my supplied Makefile to build the project. This means that it should not use the CDT Managed Makefile way of building the source, but should use a user supplied Makefile in the root of the project (in the same directory as .project and .cproject).I create a new STM32 Project and specify the Targeted Project Type as "Empty":I then close STM32CubeIDE, delete the wizard generated source files, copy my source files into the project directory, restart STM32CubeIDE and press F5 to refresh the project. So far so good. It is displaying my source files including the Makefile, but here is where I hit the wall hard.I can not tell STM32CubeIDE to use my Makefile to build the project. I see that under Project Natures, it is a "Managed Makefile MCU Project" and that a "Non Managed Makefile MCU Project" option does exist:I tried removing the "Managed Makefile MCU Project" and replacing it with the "Non Managed Mak

Hi everyone!I am able to successfully create a new Makefile project in a directory containing existing code. It work seamlessly and I am able to build the code without a hitch but when I try to debug the actual hardware target (e.g. STM32L072RBTx) I hit a brick wall and I don't know how to proceed further. When I launch the "Debug Configurations" dialog, I get an error dialog: "Project setup issue: Not able to get mcu target. Reason: Build configuration is not valid. Described mcu target is not supported". See attached screenshot:How do I specify the HW target (after creating a Makefile project)? Any hints / tips / links would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance,Pieterhttps://piconomix.com

I am using STM32F103C8T6 for counting rotary encoder pulse. My Encoder PPR is 5000.But when I program for timer1 as encoder mode and show count on segment it shows 20000 pulse per rotation it is 4 times higher than the actual value. What should I do to get exact value of pulses.???And another question is how to get interrupt after particular no. of pulses??I am sharing my code for reference.*/*****************Timer Interrupt******************************/* void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { /* Prevent unused argument(s) compilation warning */ UNUSED(htim); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin); /* NOTE : This function Should not be modified, when the callback is needed, the __HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback could be implemented in the user file */ } */*****************Main Function******************************/* int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration-----------------------------------------

IS The FreeRTOS™ Kernel also available for SPC5 architecture?

Hey, I am trying to understand timers, everything goes nice, but I have a question in my mind.I am able to set the prescaler and period values according to my purporse, but I can't use the internal clock division effectively. My TIM2 clock signal is 12 MHz, then I use 11999 as PSC and 999 as ARR, so I expect my timer to count up to 999 in exactly 1 seconds and then reset to 0.And it does, but the problem occurs when I set Internal Clock Division parameter (from CubeMX) to,for example, 4 ; I expect it to count up to 999 in 4 seconds this time but it does not. It just counts again in 1 seconds. Is there something wrong in my understanding of this Internal Clock Division thing? Thanks in advance.

I'm using an old STM32F103RD with SPL v3.6.1. I'm confused with the value to put in TIM1_CCRx for a giving PWM frequency.Looking at \STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.7.0\Projects\STM32F103RB-Nucleo\Examples_LL\TIM\TIM_PWMOutput\Src\main.c: /* Set compare value to half of the counter period (50% duty cycle ) */ LL_TIM_OC_SetCompareCH1(TIM2, ( (LL_TIM_GetAutoReload(TIM2) + 1 ) / 2));but I found in slider of STM32F7 webinar (en.STM32F7_WDG_TIMERS_GPTIM.pdf, see screenshot) that we should substract 1.Ex: ARR = 4999, for a duty cyle of 50%, CCR1 = (4999+1) * 0.5 = 2500 or 2499?Does the PWM mode (edge vs center-aligned) have an impact CCRx formula?

Hello everyone, so what I’m going to do is displaying the value of the temperature on the LCD of the STM32F413H-Disco with a PT100, i wrote this code:int value;char getvalue[20];...MX_ADC_Init();HAL_ADC_Start_IT(&hadc1); (I choose Interruption because in reality i started with a simple potentiometer so I think that if I turn it faster I have to see the right value, I don’t want that the program run all the code and then display the value, that’s why I used the interruption )HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, 100);value = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1);itoa(value, getvalue, 10);..GUI_Clear();GUI_SetFont(....);GUI_DisplayStringAt(...);I declared the MX_ADC_Init function but it displays 0 on the LCD.Clive Two.Zero can you help me to resolve this please?thanks

Hi,I am using one of the evaluation boards to test 3993. My objective is to determine the change in the phase of the reflected signal. For this reason, I use the movement detection mode that shows the Phase of the tag using the linear I & Q RSSI values. My tag is attached with a phase shifter that shifts the phase of the reflected back signal. The shifter can be adjusted to delay the signal from 0 up to 100 degrees. Which I can confirm using a VNA of even Oscilloscope. When operating in the system, where I use Reader to determine the phase of the reflected signal, from my tag which has a phase shifter attached with, I don't see as much phase delay as I can see on the VNA. The maximum phase change that I see is 5 degrees, which was expected to be instead 80 degrees. There are some configurations of distance/pathloss, gain of transmitted signal, sensitivity of the receiver and AGC mode where I get more dynamic range of up to 30 degrees. However, that is a very impractical case.I have t

I think I have proven now through tests that the and is clearly "YES". But, I'll still put this is as some awareness raising anyway. It might not be immediately obvious that an interrupted task can override the value of an interrupting task. Also, I'm not 100% on my explanation of what is happening here. So someone might want to explain it in more detail. I have a an RTOS task that does a+=n every 10ms. I have an NVIC interrupt that does a=0; about once per minute. "Almost always" the result of the interrupted RTOS task is that a = 0 or 1 depending on if the NVIC came before or after the += operation in the task. This is at least expected behavior in my operation. However there is still a chance of that the NVIC task will happen during the += operation. When this happens the interrupted rtos thread in the stack still holds a stored value for a in its register. On returning to this task, the value is restored. As a result the a=0 event is overwritten. For me a is of type double so the o

Hello,I'm a bit confused about how memory addressing and byte alignment works when using two QSPI FLASH memories in dual flash mode.Accordingly to AN4760 paragraph 2.2.4, in dual flash mode addresses are "splitted" across two banks by sending even addresses to bank 1 and odd to bank 2. That sounds like using address LSB to choose to which bank read/write data to, and address >> 1 as the physical memory address. I can't find anywhere the explanation about how sectors erase works, but I expect that it would work in the same manner by sending the same erase command to both memories with (address >> 1) as the physical address of the sector to erase. This is OK for me, so that the dual bank memory appears as a single memory having sectors of double size and a total memory of doubled size. Here's where the "strange" behavior comes in: when I attempt to read/write a single byte to the memory (or an odd length bytes array, e.g. 187 bytes long) it seems impossible to handle the read/
