Sorry for a noob question...The DS for STM32H7 (DS12117 Rev 7, 3.42) says that a PHY can be clocked using 25 MHz from the microcontroller. The PHY we want to use, KSZ8873, has its own connection for 25/50 MHz oscillator. We'd prefer to put only one oscillator on the H7.I don't understand from the KSZ document, can it support clock from the microcontroller? If yes, is MII (vs. RMII) interface required? Is separate crystal for the PHY a much better option? Thanks in advance-- pa

hi I looked for a tutorial on dma receive i2c but I didn't find it, Itried with dma receive uart and it works perfectly:int main(void){HAL_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); MX_USART6_UART_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart6, (uint8_t *)rxBuf, 25); while (1) { }}void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart){HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart6, (uint8_t *)rxBuf, 25);     }could I have an example like this with dma i2c with the callbak function?TANKS

HiI would like to call C++ functions from C file. For example I have a Callback to change the screen (void FrontendApplication::goToMainScreenCustom()) in FrontendApplication. I want to call this function from a C file.Does anyone have an idea how to make this? Do I need a wrapper for such calls from a C file?RegardsDejan

Is not clear for me How to integrate UDE PLS debugging in spc5 studio (eclipse).

Since more and more questions about the new STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1 tool have been recently raised in the MEMS&Sensor Community, dedicated topic and post series have been created to go deeper in the capabilities and in the potential of this tool. This series of posts will deal with the high level smartphone app, starting with the description of the proposed Example Applications in in terms of Input, Functions and Output and will explain how to build your own Application, and will be periodically updated following the ST.box upgrades step-by-step.Here below the post list, to get a whole insight on the topic:#1 --> Connect your box and start - HW overview#2 --> One structure, infinite applications#3 --> A small, portable weather station#4 --> A compass and a level in your pocket can always be useful#5 --> From Entry-level to Expert mode#6 --> Why should I use the ST.box Expert mode#7 --> Expert mode application at work - the Free fall detection#8 --> How to get the fu

Hi to all,I am planning a basic STM32 platform PCB for industrial HMI for different customers. At the moment is is not quite clear which microcontroller from STM32F7 or STM32H7 series will be used. It depends on firmware developed by customer. But hardware is (as always) price sensitive and has to be available soon.So my idea is to design the board in such a way that I can choose the STM32 controller that fits the application at assembly time.Is there a document or other information about which STM32F7 or STM32H7 controllers are pin compatible? Is it possible at all to make a pin compatibe layout for STM32F7 and STM32H7 controllers?Thank you for ideas, hints and support Thomas

I am using touchgfx to draw a sine line.I have two questions. This is what I drawed using touchgfx simulator.First question:It looks like somewhere of the line is in light color, I don't konw why? Can it be fixed? This is the drawing using memeory . The CWR using memory is keeping growing.I set the canvas buffer size 32767 which is the largest number. It still is not enough. If I draw some complext line ,it will be a disaster...So the second question:How can I draw line with smallest memory?Best regards for answering. Thanks...

CubeMX ver. 5.3.0. I tried different microcontrollers.

Hi everyone,My name is Chinh, I am working on stm32f030c8t6 for my project. I am using SPI1 to interface with an RF module. This program run very good when I implement on stm32f103c8t6, to save money I decide to switch to stm32f0 which have a lower cost than F1. Unfortunately, I have a big problem that I can't understand and I have ever seen during the working time on stm32 MCU series.I used a pointer (ui8) to point an array and if I change the value of pointer such increasing one by one after every transmission that goes to hardfault handle when putting data to DR register.Examples:uint8_t table[] = {0x06, 0x02, 0x52, x64, 0x01, 0x00};uint8_t rx[10];uint8_t *p;p = table;TransmitReceive(spi, p, rx, 2, timeout);p++;TransmitReceive(spi, p, rx, 2, timeout); -> hardfaultIf I change a bitTransmitReceive(spi, p, rx, 2, timeout);p++;TransmitReceive(spi, p, rx, 1, timeout);-> No hardfaultOr:TransmitReceive(spi, p, rx, 1, timeout);p++;TransmitReceive(spi, p, rx, 1, timeout); -> No

I have made a custom slider , vertical , using pngs .When I run the simulator it does not appear .The default Slider shows but weird refresh and leaves a trail ?Also , is there a way to say which item is on top of the other ? Bring to front , send to back ?

Hello everybody,I am trying to drive ST25T3911B with STM32F072RB. I am using X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 mounted on the NUCLEO-F072RB.I have configured NUCLEO-F072RB with STM32CUBEMX, you can find the project file attached; for my application I have added CAN connectivity and I2C connectivity.I am using the RFAL library found in the X-CUBE-NFC5, and the application I have written is pretty similar to the polling loop in the STM32F4 example.I am reading ST25TB512-AC tags. The SPI seems to work because my application can retrieve the chip ID from the card, but requesting the UID a hard fault always occures during the receiving phase of the SPI communication.I have noticed that the ST25R3911B continuosly drives the external interrupt even if no card is present, is this correct? Can you check my STM32CUBEMX configuration in order to see if everything related with RFAL middleware is fine?Thank you in advance.Sincerely Alessandro

Hi I am working with LIS2DH12 accelerometer. I want to read and calibrate the raw x,y,z axis data. For the scale level 2g, 4g, 8g, I am getting the accurate readings(At stable position, Z is 1g for above scale levels). But when I change my scale level to 16g, my z-axis is only reading 0.62g value instead of 1g.Here are the register configurations that I am using: /*variables to store values in registers*/ uint8_t value_ctrl_reg1 = 0x47;  // Turn on the sensor, enable X, Y, and Z, Low Power mode, ODR = 100Hz uint8_t value_ctrl_reg2 = 0x00;  uint8_t value_ctrl_reg3 = 0x00;uint8_t value_ctrl_reg4 = 0x88; // FS = ±8g/*Read Accelerometer*/  uint8_t data[6];  #define Scaling_Fac_ACC 2048  vTWI_Read(LIS2DH12_OUT_X_L , &data[0]);  vTWI_Read(LIS2DH12_OUT_X_H , &data[1]);  vTWI_Read(LIS2DH12_OUT_Y_L , &data[2]);  vTWI_Read(LIS2DH12_OUT_Y_H , &data[3]); &nbs

Hi I am trying to install STM32CubeProgrammer on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. It apparently installs OK and places an icon on the desktop. When I start the app., a dialog with "You are using OpenJDK, please Install OpenJFX Debian: sudo apt-get install openjfxor install Oracle JRE"I have tried running "sudo apt-get install openjfx" but the problem still persists.java is apparently installedjava --versionopenjdk 10.0.2 2018-07-17OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 10.0.2+13-Ubuntu-1ubuntu0.18.04.3)OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0.2+13-Ubuntu-1ubuntu0.18.04.3, mixed mode)could some one please help?thanksJames

Hi @Martin KJELDSEN !This time I'm trying to make a scrollable container containing custom containers I've made. But how do I add the custom container to be a part of the scrollable container in the designer? I can't get the scrollable container to scroll when I first add a scrollable container and then add my custom containers. And I tried making a custom container with a scrollable container, but then I can't add my custom container to my other custom container including the scrollable container. Do you follow? :grinning_face_with_sweat: Do you have any examples using scrollable containers that can inspire me to solve my issue? Preferrably examples I can open in the designer. :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thankful for answers!

Hello,I read the related wiki page and low power mode document.I can enter low power mode with the command "echo mem > /sys/power/state". Thats great. My M4 program is still running in the background. I am reading a sensor in this program. If it reads above 30 Celcius or the user touches the touch screen, I want the MPU to exit low power mode. What should I exactly do ?With what should I play in m4 code ? tnx

My timer config:  RCC_APB1ENR = RCC_APB1ENR_TIM3EN;  TIM3_CR1 = (uint32_t)(TIM_CR1_CKD_CK_INT | TIM_CR1_CMS_CENTER_3);  TIM3_CR1 &= ~TIM_CR1_UDIS;  TIM3_CR2 &= ~TIM_CR2_CCDS;  TIM3_ARR = (uint32_t)10000;  TIM3_DIER = (uint32_t)(TIM_DIER_CC1DE | TIM_DIER_CC1IE);  PWM_BORDER = (uint32_t)7000;So, timer interrupt is working well only when I null CCR event in the interupt. But transaction interrupt arises at random moments of time. Hi, I'm currently working on STM32MP1.I tried to use STM32CubeProg with STM32MP157A-DK1 in "the Engineering mode", but it doesn't recognize ST-Link for this board. So currently the only option I can program under the Engineering Mode seems to be SW4STM32. STM32CubeProg also seems to be perfect tool for the Engineering Mode (and the Production mode) too.Do you guys have any plan to add support for the MCU part of STM32MP1xx dev boards with STM32CubeProg, or to make any standalone tool?

I am using stm32f205ret. I want to toggle as fast as possible. According to the data sheet i should be able to do it at 60 MHZ. I use cubeMX to initialize my code. I basically set all clocks to max. I set one pin (gpio port C pin 5) as GPIO_OUTPUT. I configure the speed of the port to be high in cubeMX. And keep toggling it in a while(1) loop.I cannot go beyond 1MHZ.I would be really nice if someone can tell what I am missing. I have attached the code for clock setup and gpio setting:static void MX_GPIO_Init(void){ GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configure GPIO pin Output Level */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_5, GPIO_PIN_RESET); /*Configure GPIO pin : PC5 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_5; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH;&nbs

Hello,I am using the ST25R3913, following the application note and matching tool to define LC components for EMC filter and matching circuit. Now the function test is quite good, but I have a high pulse at 3rd harmonics (40.8MHz), do you have similar case happens with emission issue?

I want to change splash screen of u-boot with custom image. Therefore I adjusted my image with same properties as default one has. Then I replaced the image under layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp/recipes-bsp/u-boot/u-boot-stm32mp-splash this path with same name " stmicroelectronics.bmp". For applying change I clean the recipe with bitbake -c clean -f u-boot-stm32mp-splash command and then recompile image with bitbake st-image-weston.After completing everything board monitors white screen. I assume I changed something but wrongly.Board: Stm32Mp157c-dk2Best Halil

Hello.I have a DK2 board and I want to wake up MPU (CA7) after shutdown command. If no MCU (CM4) firmware is running then no problems, but otherwise if I run MCU firmware (GPIO example) before shutting down MPU I get the following error after pushing Wake Up button:PANIC at PC : 0x2fff2e81Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0xc0831f9cAnd it reboots after some time and stops MCU firmware:INFO:   Reset reason (0x214):INFO:     IWDG2 Reset (rst_iwdg2)How can i solve this problem? Thanks.

Dear team,I am facing issue with STM32 uart.I have stm32f103c8 (you can google "stm32 bluepill ") board with me.I want to use uart communication on this, i am using Stm32 Cube ide 1.0.0 .when i transmit data from uart i receive garbage value on my laptop.I am using usb to serial converter. Please find zip file for code and snap shots.Imp points:I have tested my usb to serial converter with another controller which runs on 3.3v.i have checked with another uart also its also giving same problem.
