I have a design where I am using both I2C1 (external ADC) and I2C2 (external EEPROM). I have no problem making I2C2 work perfectly. The MCU both transmits and receives messages with no problem and I can see in on the Oscilloscope. However, when I attempt to use I2C1 in the same way, using the same HAL commands:HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, ADCAddrWrite, ADCConfigCond, 0x01, 1000);andHAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c1, ADCAddrRead, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, 0x02, 1000);It does not work. On the oscilloscope I can see the clock signal go low briefly and then go high again every time the MCU attempts to either send or receive a message. I think the MCU is issuing the Start bit but then it times out. When I use the debugger and follow the code through step by step I see that the bus is timing out (or at least I think it is). If I elongate the timeout to 10 seconds I can even count it off and see that the MCU pauses at the command for 10 seconds and then m

I am trying out the sample projectSTM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.2.0/Projects/NUCLEO-H753ZI/Applications/1_Image.I have completed the following build steps:prebuild.pyBuild SECoreBinBuild SBSFUBuild UserAppThe last step postbuild.py (which is SECBOOT_ECCDSA_WITH_AES128_CBC_SHA256.sh) has an assert:Exception: AES CBC encryption requires the Firmware Image size (22232 bytes) to be a multiple of the AES block size (16 bytes)I don't know how to get around the problem.

Hi all,To be hontest, I am a beginner when it comes to timer and capture hardware. Maybe someone can help me figuring out what the best way is how I can measure the time between two separate impules i get on two separate lines. Accuracy shall be very high.First input: some master clock pulse (1kHz) Second Input: some delayed clock pulse with high level for a few microseconds. I need to measure the time between the first pulse and the second.First thought, use two synced timers, capture two values and calculate the difference between them. Second thought, reset a timer by the 1kHz reference pulse and capture to the timer counter register when the second pulse on a different pin is comming in.Any ideas how to configure the STM32H743 for this? Thanks a lot!

Using STM32Cube, I can build the demo project MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG fresh from the zipfile fine. However, you cannot open the MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG.ioc file in it's original location. You get and error that it is the wrong name. So I copy MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG.ioc from the MOTENV1 directory , into the MOTENV1/STM32CubeIDE/MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG directory. (where it should be)But if I open it there, make no changes and and regenerate the code, I get numerous errors. The first is: motenv_stm.c:149:3: error: unknown type name 'MOTENV_STM_App_Notification_evt_t'; did you mean 'EDS_STM_App_Notification_evt_t'?Diffing against the previous directory shows numerous changes. Looking at just the .ioc file when opened with CUBE, these lines are different:188,189c188,189< ProjectManager.CustomerFirmwarePackage=..\\..\\..\\..< ProjectManager.DefaultFWLocation=false---> ProjectManager.CustomerFirmwarePackage=> ProjectManager.DefaultFWLocation=true208,209c208,209< ProjectManage

Hi all,(I am using a STM32L031) I'm trying to design a system that receives a UART string and uses this data to drive a WS2812 LED strip at different colors depending on the string. So far, I've done a lot of googling and found that a lot of people are using HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA() to vary duty cycles of PWM for similar purposes. I've done all the peripheral setup required I think and am able to get a PWM signal going (see attached .png) I have a couple of issues though - The PWM never stops even though HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA() requires a length to be passed in. Now, I've checked that the DMA transfer completes, by setting a breakpoint in the IRQ handler like so:void TIMx_DMA_IRQHandler(void) { if (__HAL_DMA_GET_IT_SOURCE(TimHandle.hdma[TIM_DMA_ID_CC3],DMA_IT_TC)){ // if (TimHandle.hdma[TIM_DMA_ID_CC3]->XferCpltCallback != NULL){ //other = other+1; //this following callback does nothing... TimHandle.hdma[TIM_DMA_ID_CC3]->XferCpltCallback(TimHandle.hdma[TIM_DMA_ID_CC3

To port the code from STM32F7 to STM32H7, I have got latest version of CubeMX and H7 firmware package. when I configure one of the GPIO pins on F7, CubeMX generates initialization code automatically. but it does not generate initialization code for GPIO on H7. Why is that CubeMX works for F7 but not for H7. Why can't it generate code for peripherals like GPIO, etc for H7?

I'm struggling to understand why I'm seeing a huge performance hit by slightly changing code in a loop. I narrowed down the problem to a manageable code size, and I'm hoping someone here can suggest how to investigate and resolve my issue.I'm using a NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board, clock set to 480MHz, and my toolchain is STM32CubeIde 1.0.2 with he latest HAL libraries for the H743. Everything else running on that board works as I would expectI am using the CMSIS arm_correlate_q15 library to cross correlate two signals I capture with the ADC. The CMSIS function takes 2 Q15 arrays as input, outputs a third array, twice as long as the biggest input with correlation values. Even if the library uses q63_t math internally, the output array is scaled down to q15_t. I'm using pretty big arrays (12288 elements), and the return array has too many values that are equal to the maximum possible for the q15 values, making it hard to pinpoint the exact correlation point. Also, due to the big array sizes, havi

I am trying to understand the exception entry behaviour of cortex M3. It is given that stack frame contains PC info at address SP+0x18. If I see the PC value after entry of SysTick_Handler(), it remains 0x0000 0000. Please refer screenshots to get idea on what I am trying to do.I'm using ST's latest eclipse IDE.Controller used is STM32F103C8.ST-Link V2 debugger

Hi,We will need to easily draw scientific graphs and scopes in our project, so I would like to know if there are or at least there are planned any libraries for TouchGFX to support this. Many advanced GUI design frameworks have such libraries but for TouchGFX I only find an abandoned old open Github repository:https://github.com/touchgfx/touchgfx-open-repositorySo is there any alternative? Thanks in advance,Anguel

Hi,I have a slider added on View. Also, my view overriders handleGestureEvent to handle it globally. Do you have any idea how to discard gesture event, when I quickly move slider?Same problem when My FrontendApplication overrides handleGestureEvent.

Hello. Is code for STM32MP157 is compatible for STM32MP153?I can't find description of this MPU in arm-trusted-firmware's device tree.

I am trying to design a custom container which has a scroll well. This scroll wheel item template has a wildcard. When I add a Scroll Wheel and generate code, compiler generates same variables three time in CustomContainerBase.hpp file. Like below;   /* * Wildcard Buffers */ static const uint16_t ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE = 5; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar ElementTextBuffer[ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE]; static const uint16_t ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE = 5; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar ElementTextBuffer[ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE]; static const uint16_t ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE = 5; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar ElementTextBuffer[ELEMENTTEXT_SIZE];Because of that, compailer give error and I can't fix it. What can I do about that?Thank you for help.

hiwhen i add yellow line in custom container TouchGFX 4.10.0 Designer report error and when i remove the yellow line simulator run successfully

HI Sir.I will try to work on a project using STM32.I have a question regarding flash memory usage.I want to  save input data to flash memory but STM flash memory is divided sector. The capacity of each sector is determined.ex) STM32F205VE Sector 0 : 16KB Sector1 : 16KB ect..I have a question here. For example, when capacity of data to input is 200KB, I will save this data in sector2.But  capacity of sector2 is only 16KB, Is the remaining data automatically saved to the next sector?Thank you sir.

I've implemented a scroll list, following the documentation at https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/201785662-Tutorial-4-Creating-a-Scroll-Wheel-with-custom-behavior. Generally, it works. I have a function to update non-center items, and one to update center items. The problem is, when I slide the scroller, I get multiple calls to the "UpdateCenterItem" and UpdateItem" functions. The first call is to UpdateCenterItem with the itemIndex I expect. Then, not surprisingly, there are calls to UpdateItem. The strange thing is, UpdateCenterItem is called several times, with itemIndex values I don't expect, and these are not the ones shown as the center item on the GUI. Also, UpdateItem is called with the itemIndex that is the highlighted center item. It seems there are extra calls to these functions but they're not being updated on the GUI.If it was just the affect of the slider extending beyond moving 1 location, I could see multiple calls, but then the last time UpdateCenterItem i

Hello!I made a mistake in my software and download it in MCU's flash memory. This mistake prevents me for downloading again. So i want to know is there any way to erase MCU's flash memory or something else...I am using NUCLEO-L476RG board with SMT32L433.The essence of mistake:I configured All pins of GPIOA and GPIOB as IO pins and force them to constant change there state between "1" and "0" without any form of delay. PA13 and PA14 share with SWD signals connected to ST-LINK/V2-1 witch used for downloading. Is there any way to solve this problem?Thank you for your help,Andrewvoid portConfig() { GPIO_InitTypeDef GpioInit; __GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); HAL_GPIO_DeInit(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_All); HAL_GPIO_DeInit(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_All); GpioInit.Pin = GPIO_PIN_All; GpioInit.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; GpioInit.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GpioInit.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_MEDIUM; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GpioInit); HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GpioInit); while(1) { HAL_G

Hello Everyone,I am testing the new Qt for MCU libraries on STM32F769I-DISCO. I should need of the original ST hex file flashed in STM32F769I-DISCO before shipment, I need it to do a fast comparation between Qt libraries and ST libraries. Is the a plase where I can download this file? Otherwise the souce file are available?Thank you,Alex

HI,I've problems on the temperature detected by the LSM9DS1. I used the "Unico" software to configure the Acc/Gyro and the Magnetometer, in particular I used the "Easy configuration button".I read the temperature (Unico page Acc/Gyro Registers) from registers OUT_TEMP_L/OUT_TEMP_L and the values are:OUT_TEMP_L: around 3-7 (in hex)OUT_TEMP_H: always zero (it's ok)I'm in office and at the moment the temperature is around 24°C. Is something I'm missing? Thanks,Giorgio

I am having problems running LPTIM1 off the LSE. When I set up and interrupt it is firing ever clock cycle and does not seem to be clearing. RCC_BDCR_LSERDY bit is active before selecting the LPTIM1 clock source. I have also tried disabling the interrupt and just enabling a PWM output. This results in a toggle every clock cycle on the output pin instead of the expected duty cycle and period. Is this related to the issue mentioned in this errata (2.7.2)? static void LPTIM_Init(void) { /* Disable LPTIM1 */ RCC->APB1ENR1 &= ~RCC_APB1ENR1_LPTIM1EN;   /* Change Clock Source */ RCC->CCIPR &= ~RCC_CCIPR_LPTIM1SEL; RCC->CCIPR |= RCC_CCIPR_LPTIM1SEL_0 | RCC_CCIPR_LPTIM1SEL_1; // Select LSE as source   /* Reset LPTIM1 */ RCC->APB1RSTR1 |= RCC_APB1RSTR1_LPTIM1RST; RCC->APB1RSTR1 &= ~RCC_APB1RSTR1_LPTIM1RST;   /* Enable During Sleep */ RCC->APB1SMENR1 |= RCC_APB1SMENR1_LPTIM1SMEN; //Enable During Sleep RCC->C2APB1SMENR1 |= RCC_C2APB1SMENR1_

Hi,I would really like to understand why ST changed SPI on H7. What can be done with SPIx->CR2.TSIZE? Is it possible to generate an ISR only after TSIZE bytes transfer? Why 16 bytes FIFO? Is it possible to generate an ISR only after 16 bytes transfer, and in the ISR routine fill the FIFO with more bytes, if needed?I noticed that the DMA transfer complet interrupt is generated before the SPI transmission ends, how can I get around this? This basically makes DMA transfer complete ISR useless.

I call HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess() but writes to backup RAM (4K in battery backed domain) won't stick. Data always remains 0. No error or fault on write. What else can be missing??RTC backup registers write test on same board is successful (means, tamper not active). But what is notable, it is successfull even without enabling backup domain access! (HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess)The board is STM32H753 Eval-2.Attached is example project for Atollic. Anyone wants to look?Regards, -- pa

So i have gotten the LTDC working - sort of.I'm working off the app note 4861 which have an example on how to find the parameters for the display I'm using from datasheet.I'm using this display:https://www.buydisplay.com/default/low-cost-4-3-inch-480x272-tft-lcd-display-w-optl-capacitive-touch-screenThe datasheet is right here: https://www.buydisplay.com/download/manual/ER-TFT043-8_Datasheet.pdfand the controller chip for the display datasheet: https://www.buydisplay.com/download/ic/ST7282.pdfNow, my problem:I have this test imageI have created it using the lcd-image-converter mentioned in the app note (by the way - it is the one on sourceforge - it can be a bit hard to find)one thing that messed with me for a couple of days was the obvious fact that you HAVE to make your image the SAME size as the screen resolution - duh! I created the image in Inkscape and exported it wrong so I ended up with a size of 516*303 - pretty stupid!I changed that and this is my current image on my screen:I

There is no TIM5 in the 'F0.Textual search for TIM5 in RM0091 rev.9 reveals it occurs twice:in Internal clock source (CK_INT) subchapter of TIM15/16/17 chapter; this is a typo and it ought to be TIM15 (because TIM16/17 don't have the slave-mode controller this sentence refers to)in the Index, as TIM5_OR, this ought to be TIM14_ORST, please correct. Thanks,JW
