Hi,I'm here to ask if someone knows a safe way to convert other analog sources using the ADC macrocellsof a STM32F407ZE MCU used to spin a BLDC motor by means of a FOC 4.0 library.I mean, is there a way to correctly hook my code to the ADC IRQ Handler employed by FOC to manageits tasks? Unfortunately we haven't the code of FOC library, so I do not know how to accomplish this task.I have to convert the analog signals coming from 4 NTC resistors, and other two signals. They are attachedto ADC channels belonging to ADC2 and ADC3 (someone told me that FOC uses ADC module 1 and ADCmodule 2).At the moment the only way to accomplish this task is to run this code (after FOC initialization): /* Enable ADC2 and GPIO clocks ****************************************/ RCC_AHB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_AHB1Periph_GPIOA, ENABLE); RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB2Periph_ADC2, ENABLE);   /* Configure ADC2 Channel3 pin as analog input ******************************/ GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin

Does the STM32F0x1 line have SWO (the output trace) in its debug port?Reading the User Manual of STM32F0-Discovery (UM1525) it looks like SWO is on pin PB3.But the Reference Manual for the board's STM32F051 (RM0091) does not even mention SWO, only SWCLK and SWDIO.What am I missing?

Hi, I have a Nucleo-F746ZG development board and I'm trying to get LwIP and FreeRTOS going on it but when I use CMSIS V2 it constantly goes into hard fault. If I use CMSIS V1 everything is fine. Any ideas what parameter in the RTOS config could be causing this? I'd prefer to use CMSIS V2 since it offers a few new features that V1 does not. Thanks,Doug Burrell

I am using TxBufferCompleteCallback in order to verify that messages have been sent over FDCAN on the STM32G474RE board.I have verified that the callback is run, which means it's been activated correctly. After the first run, it is no longer called, and my application is halted, because it appears that the TxBuffer has not been sent yet. In reality, the buffer is sent, and it is successfully received on the other end.The IRQ_Handler is not getting its TxBufferComplete flag set, so there isn't much I can do in the way of figuring out what's happening. The back and forth communication between my devices goes like this from the perspective of the G4: Receive, Send, TxBufferComplete, Receive, Send, waiting forever for sending to complete. The board I am communicating with is an H7 board known to work correctly. Is there some API function that I missed, or is this a firmware bug?Anything you wish to know about my setup which may help, please ask and I will tell.

Hello!I have designed a custom board, i have attached the schematic of it. My problem is that I have an ST-link v2 and i cant connect to it, i get target not found. Is my schematic correct or I have missed something? I have power and ground on all necessary pins on my board. I connected VDD, GND, SWDIO and SWCLK to my board from the ST-link, I used pins 1, 7, 9, 20. I tried to swap the pins of the data and clock signals, and all the settings in the ST-Link utility. My programmers firmware is up to date.Best regards,Attila

Posted on March 12, 2018 at 23:29Hi, I usingBoard: STM32F769NI DiscoveryCubeMx: 4.24.0STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.9.0ARM MDK: 5.24.2.0When I try to use UART6 for communicating with hyper terminal (or putty). My UART6 and HT are configured as belowI get corrupted output on hyper terminal. If I use UART1 via ST-link with baud rate 115200. I do get proper output on hyper terminal.I tried to set different clock source for UART: PCLK2, SYSCLK, HSI, LSE but it doesn't resolve the issue. My CubeMx setup is as below:I don't understand why UART6 output doesn't work as it should be?Any hint? Thanks#discovery #uart #stm32f7 #stm32f769ni #uart6

It seems that with CubeProgrammer all partitions in the MP1 EMMC must be flashed using the tab delimited file. Is there a way to support to update/flash only selected partitions ?

I want to use Comparator, for comparing external voltage with Vref in stop modeso that if external voltage is more than Vref, wake up from stop mode and do something.I read example code about Comparator, LPTIMER ... but they are not exact solution about my projectso Can you give some idea or example about Using Comparator in stop mode ?

Dear experts,I'm new to M7 (and H7) so pardon me for a stupid question.Created a new .ioc file in CubeMX 5.3.0 for STM32H753 EVAL2 board. There I can select debug interface as JTAG 5 pins or Serial wire (at least). From the Cube report file, in Serial Wire mode it uses 2 pins: PA14 SWCLKPA13 SWDIOWhere is SWO ? It should be PB3, but the report file does not mention it.In JTAG 5 pins mode it uses PA14, PA15, PA13, PB3, PB4.Now, in a .ioc file made by my hardware engineer, for a custom board with same MCU,the debug mode is JTAG 5 pins. But I cannot change it to Serial wire or even to Disabled.Any reason, why?None of these 5 pins are hmm... pinned.Serial mode uses two (or three?) of JTAG 5 pins, so it should be possible to reuse them?Is the JTAG config locked by some other component or mode selection?Or can it be a "feature" of the Cube ?We both have Cube 5.3.0 on Linux, Ubuntu,Thanks in advancePavel A.

I'm using a WB55 Nucleo board and setting up a BLE connection with a 2nd WB55 Nucleo board using aci_gap_create_connection(). The connection succeeds and I am able to transfer data between the 2 boards. I would then like to terminate the connection. I call aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc(0x40) to do this, but I always get a return value of 0x46, which corresponds to BLE_STATUS_NOT_ALLOWED. Any ideas why the call to aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc() fails? Or is there a different recommended way to terminate the BLE connection? Thanks...

Hi,I maked a .ioc project on STM32F103 used STM32CubeMX, and Enabled its CAN mastor mode, and Enabled CAN's all interrupts(RX,TX,ERROR). Then make a SIMULINK model link to the ioc file, and place a CAN_IT module into it. At this time, it tell me 'Configuration must be done before!', And in the CAN_IT module, the interrupts RX/TX/ERROR are unchecked and disabled. But! When I do same process on STM32F107/407/417/302/469, it is OK.Please help me. thanks.

The number of frames per second does not exceed 10. Will there be any performance improvements? Are there any tips?

In DMA mode, the DMA block does copying. In normal mode the controller does the copying. So which block does copy in interrupt mode?

Is external clock mode 1 and external clock mode 2 are available only for channel 1 of general purpose timer(Timer 3 specifically)?. Or other channels can also be configured for it?

I am trying to debug my M4 program on systemworkbench (eclipse) for the board stm32mp157c-dk2 and the host computer is ubuntu. I have set breakpoints in normal flow and also in exceptional flows in the program. Program works very well in debug and I can see the outputs via my qt program on linux side on mini display. But the flow never stops by breakpoints. The breakpoints have no effect. I am doing the following steps correctly. Please tell me what is missing or what I am doing false... build the project in eclipseselect production mode in debug configuration because the program is based on the example "OpenAMP_TTY_echo" give the ip address in debug configurationright click on project and select Debug As --> ST's STM32 MPU C/C++ ApplicationAnd this is the log on console when the debug startsOpen On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0+dev-01124-gbfb41e6 (2018-11-16-15:00) Licensed under GNU GPL v2 For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html debug_level: 1 cortex_a interrupt ma

I am trying to find a few KB of permanent storage on the STM32F303 part. The TRM mentions the flash map and the HAL seems to have some API's. However, I am unable to find any decent material on storing user data on flash. Is there any good example of this? Also, Is there a HAL API to get the UID of the part??

Hello,I have found some bugs in linker scripts generation when creating a project from CubeMX. Those bugs appears only when code is generated for STM32CubeIDE, related to linker scripts:/* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x20040000; /* end of "RAM" Ram type memory *//* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 256K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 1024K }_estack should be set to 0x2003000, otherwise the system goes into hard fault.RAM_SHARED section does not appear, without it the coprocessor is unreachable I guess.MAPPING_TABLE, MB_MEM1 and MB_MEM2 are not mapped to RAM_SHAREDOn the other hand, if I generate a makefile or TRUEStudio project for stm32wb55cg (1 MB of flash), the linker reports only 512 KBHope to see this fixed, thanks for your help!

Posted on April 11, 2018 at 13:31Dear Cube team,Just noticed that STM32CubeMX v 4.24.0 does not show correct mode for GPIOs in pinout view (the main nice GUI).On the picture below, PF14 is GPIO input with pullup, but the flyout tip shows as (no mode).Would like to see the actual mode there.Thanks,-- pavel#stm32f4 #cubemx-v4.24

I am currently working with UART in DMA mode for CLI implimentation. I would like to do some string parsing as part of the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback.Is this callback running in IRQ context or outside of IRQ context ? Is this the correct place for post processing IRQ data ? What would you recommend ?

Hi,I have design a custom board with the STM32F207VE. But I made a mistake in routing the UART TX as RX and UART RX as TX. Is there a way to change the STM32 UART TX port to an RX through the software?

I’m trying to get my STM32H743 to communicate with a Cypress S25FL128S.I want to change the state of the Configuration register bit 1 from the default of zero to a one.I want to use the HAL_QSPI API to perform this write but I’m confused on how to add two byte command sequence.Instruction WWR = 0x01QSPI_CommandTypeDef my_qspiCommand; my_qspiCommand.InstructionMode  = QSPI_INSTRUCTION_1_LINE; my_qspiCommand.Instruction      = 0x01; my_qspiCommand.AddressMode      = QSPI_ADDRESS_NONE; my_qspiCommand.AlternateByteMode = QSPI_ALTERNATE_BYTES_NONE; my_qspiCommand.DataMode         = QSPI_DATA_1_LINE; my_qspiCommand.DummyCycles      = 0; my_qspiCommand.DdrMode          = QSPI_DDR_MODE_DISABLE; my_qspiCommand.DdrHoldHalfCycle = QSPI_DDR_HHC_ANALOG_DELAY;&nbs

Hello all, I tried to integrate the Gauge and Graph examples (from the repository) into my project, but both (separately tried) result in a lock up of the system as soon as the components are generated in the view class.I took care to include the call for "setupBuffer "at the end of touchgfx_init and included the following lines:   #define CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE (3600*3)   static uint8_t canvasBuffer[CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE];   CanvasWidgetRenderer::setupBuffer(canvasBuffer, CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE);I copied the code from the template view into my own screen view class without further modification. When I debug the code in the embedded system, the system hangs as soon as I enter the view. The call stack shows that it sticks in PainterRGB565::PainterRGB565 (color 0x00, alpha 0xFF).Any ideas what could be the reason?

I have a ST-LINK / V2 programmer that I bought 4 years ago and it works perfect. I recently bought two new programmers but none work with the same connections like old programmer. I updated each firmware but it still doesn't work. Has anything changed in the new programmers? In document of ST-Link i haven't seen any change in hardware. my hardware is as followed: MCU Programmer SWDIO (PA13)-> SWDIO (Pin 7) GND -> GND (Pin 20) 3.3V -> 3.3V (Pin 19) SWCLK (PA14)-> SWCLK (Pin 9)

I am using stm32h743z for interfacing the RGB and Infrared camera ?My Main Question is how much total current (maximum current) we will get or we can use from 3.3 v power supply ?I have checked the data sheet but still i cant able to find so kindly help me so that it will be helpful for my knowledgei will also attach my datasheet . please find the attachment
