The example I'm trying to work with comes from: STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0\Projects\STM32F4-Discovery\Examples\UART\UART_TwoBoards_ComPollingTo enable in the compiler means the board is the transmitter and disable means the board is the receiver. The compiler line is fixed though so I don't see how to add the enable or disable switch. Please let me know how, if you can.Thank you for helping.Dan

Im sending the "Get System Info" command to check receiving data correctly from the M24LR04 via I2C.The packet that I sending is {0x00 (request flags), 0x2B(get system info command), 0xF6 (CRC LSB), 0x75 (CRC MSB) }the response that I get is 0xFF for all.I'm using the STM32F031 MCU and keil IDE also using the functions HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit / HAL_I2C_Master_Receive from the stm32f0xx_hal_i2c.c library.I have on the same board another chip connecting to SDA/SCL lines and I manage to communicate with successfully. code example:uint8_t buffTx[4] = {0x00,0x2B, 0xF6 , 0x75 };HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, M24LR_Add, buffTx, 4, 10);HAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c1, M24LR_Add, dataBufferAdd, 8, 10);Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,I am using stm32f4 discovery. I wrote 2 interrupts to blink LEDs in different speeds to write an example for NVIC. I have 1 question that I wonder about and 2 issues I couldn't solve. Here is the situation :All interrupts work well seperately. Also lower interrupt works well after higher interrupt is done if it isn't broken due to issue 2.Question 1: Is NVIC grouping works local or global? If it works global then it might mess up all the configurations that was set before the last one. (My code uses only groupconfig(3) so this isn't the reason of the issues I am getting. I just asked to be sure about it)Question 2: Isn't interrupt with the lower priority supposed to return where it left after the interrupt with the higher priority is triggered while interrupt with the lower priority working.Issue 1: Both interrupts work well when they are seperately executed. Also when interrupt with the higher priority triggered while the lower priority interrupt working, It stops and go to hand

Board: NUCLEO STM32F103RB - MB1136 C-01Hi all,I try read, trought ADC1_IN0 (pin PA0) , the temperauture value from LM35, but read wrong value.LM35: connected at 5V, GND and A0. ADC1_IN0: work at 8 MHz with voltage reference of 3.3V and 12 bit of resolution. In ADC-> DR register is store a value of 535 equal about 44°C but the temperature in the room is about 20°C. I think there is a problem with the voltage reference of the ADC. Can you help me?

Hello! I discovered STM32CubeIDE recently and I've really been enjoying using it. The device configuration tool makes it easy to set up the parameters. In my project I want to decide at startup whether a certain pin should be an ADC or GPIO_Output. I tried to do this by setting up the pin as ADC in the normal way using the device configuration tool, copying the appropriate code into my 'user code' sections, and then removing the configuration.I also had to copy the stm32f4xx_hal_adc* files into the 'Core' section, and define HAL_ADC_MODULE_ENABLED for the preprocessor. Although it compiles, the result is that it hangs inside HAL_ADC_PollForConversion waiting for the ADC_FLAG_EOC (end of conversion) flag to be set. My code is very simple, this works nicely when using the definitions generated by the tool:HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); uint16_t val = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1);Looking into this a bit deeper, it seems the first difference

Hello,I have a probably simple question: Where I can change ST-LINK Settings in System Workbench IDE. For example in ST-LINK Utility in Settings I can change Reset Mode to Software System Reset, and I don't know where I can find this setting in IDE.I have this problem without this setting changed:BR, Daniel

Circuit which i am designed is attached. pls verify this circuit.I want to know whether, can i program this board(designed circuit) with st NUCLEO-F072RB board by taking connections SDA and SCL pins out and connect it to st development board. Can i use any other development board other than st NUCLEO-F072RB biard, to program STUSB4500.

Hi,According to this link https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/ETZPC_device_tree_configuration#DT_configuration_-28board_level-29it is possible to configure the ETZPC peripheral in the device tree of TF-A. I am using a distribution package, so I modified and built the tf-a-stm32mp recipe using devtool. However, by adding the lines mentioned in the wiki link into TF-A device tree, the STM freezes on boot and doesnt respond, the only way is to flash the backup image in fsbl2 partition. I have added following lines in the stm32mp157c-dk2.dts file in the fdts directory:&etzpc { st,decprot = < DECPROT(STM32MP1_ETZPC_I2C5_ID, DECPROT_MCU_ISOLATION, DECPROT_UNLOCK) >; };I want to isolate the I2C5 peripheral for the Cortex M4 only, but without any luck. Is there any other configuration I am missing? Or perhaps it is the wrong file to edit?

Dear Team,We are designing a project where the supply is battery driven. We would like to go with USB Power Delivery(PD) for fast charging and high power management. Basically we are using 3S Lithium 18650 battery(3 batteries in series = 11.1 V), when Type C PD supported USB connector is connected we would like to charge the battery.I need some clarification on following queries,I am following the STEVAL-ISC005V1 as a reference for drafting my schematics. Which is the output pin that delivers me an output of 5V/ 9V/ 12V or 20V? I hope single pin can output these voltages. As I could see 3 connectors VSNK, PDO2 and PDO3 present in the eval board. I would like to confirm on these so that I could finalize and connect that pin to my battery charger IC input. We have a CM3+ processor SOM on board, hope the processor can be used to program the NVM of STUSB4500 through I2C interface. However the power would still be through the Type C USB connector or may be our battery power on board for prog

Hi @Martin KJELDSEN First of all I wish you a happy new year. I hope you started well in the new yearI've updated TouchGFX from 4.12.3 to 4.13.0 and I have the following issues:The TouchGFX Generator changes the slashes from \ to / in the paths (e.g. include paths) of the ewp file (IAR)I have a lot of unnecessary changes in the repository and a mix of \ and / in the paths. Is there a possibility to tell the generator which slash it has to use?The bug with the fonts is sill not solved -> see this threadIs there a solution available in the next version of TouchGFX? At the moment I have to manually change the font files./Marco

Hi,i'm looking in the reference manual RM0433 rev7 for the STM32H743 on page 2910.Bits 20:18 DSL[2:0]: Descriptor Skip Length This bit specifies the 32-bit word number to skip between two unchained descriptors. The address skipping starts from the end of the current descriptor to the start of the next descriptor. When the DSL value is equal to zero, the DMA takes the descriptor table as contiguous.Does it mean a 4 corresponds to 4x8Bit(32Bit) or to 4x32Bit?Kind regardsDaniel

Hi, I'm currently working with the STM32MP157-DK2. I built a firmware to run on the Cortex M4. To load/start/stop the firmware by the A7 I use :echo -n "firmware_name" > /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/firmwareecho -n start > /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/stateecho -n stop > /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/stateSo far it works fine.If I run the firmware the first time after a reboot all works fine. But if I stop the firmware, load and start again it begins to run and hangs up.periphery the fw uses: SPI, GPIO, TIM, DMA, DDR, UARTthird party: openAMP, FreeRTOS, virtUart, RESMGR_UTILITYIs it possible to reset M4 and the peripherals without rebooting A7?thanks in advanceregardsLukas

Dear All, I am developing an application in IAR for an STM32F7. The application is working in an External Flash and I need to place some functions in Internal RAM. I have followed the link https://www.iar.com/support/tech-notes/linker/how-do-i-place-a-group-of-functions-or-variables-in-a-specific-section/ to adapt the code and the linker file. I attach to my request both the source file (just a simple test function) and the linker file to let you better understand. If I define FUNC_region in the section 0x90000000-0x90200000 (External Flash before the application region) everything works ok. If I define FUNC_region in the region 0x20000000-0x2004FFFF during download I receive one warning from flashloader. Going in debug mode the code jumps correctly to 0x20000000 but it seems that here there is no useful code.Have anyone any suggestion to solve this task?If you need more details don't hesitate to ask.Thank you in advance.

According to the website, STM32G474CE is "Active."However according to STM32CubeMX, the Marketing Status is "Proposed."Is it safe to specify this part for a new design?

I am developing a device based on the STM32L432 processor. It needs to use USB connectivity using Full Speed CDC class. I would like to get the firmware development started using a development board before our hardware is available.I can not find any development boards from ST for this micro that have a USB port. What other processor's development board can I use that will allow the source code to be easily ported to our board when it becomes available? The only development boards I found in the STM32L4xx family are based on STM32L476, which has a USB OTG port, while the STM32L432 has a USB Device port. The development will be done using the STM32Cube L4 Version 1.14.0Regards,Hamid

I have a STM32MP157c-DK2, programming on Windows-10.What works: Build Yocto, adapt it, flash the image to the SD-Card.Use STM32CubeIDE to program and debug code on CM4My goal is to setup a proper workflow of the project, where I can integrate our standard build environment, using cmake, build scripts, IAR (not yet sure I want/need that).Couple of issues I faces:Setup and generate code for an empty project for the DK2 with CubeMX for IAR. Running the example code it tells me 'no MCU device found' (Using CN11 'ST-Link'). a) Do I miss some configurations? b) Is it engineering or production mode? c) Do I need to set the boot pins? According en.DM00591354.pdf there is no engineering mode possible with the boot pins. Is this correct? If I use Bootpins = 0x100 it behaves same way. d) Are there reasons not to use IAR (except costs)?Alternative would be, to work with STM32CubeIDE. But I not yet fully happy with it (still a bit buggy). And it will be difficult to integrate our continous integra

I'm currently working on a device that acts as a slave on a SPI bus, with the intention of being daisy-chained with a number of other devices. The bus master sends out a stream of data with 3 bytes meant for each slave, so the total number of bytes is [3 x Number of Slaves]. See below for a generalized image of the daisy-chain setup. So far, I've had some limited success by initiating a DMA transaction using the same buffer with offset pointers. Because the transaction is an arbitrary length, I attach an interrupt to the hardware NSS pin rising edge and act on the data before resetting the DMA and SPI. Note that in the snippet below, I'm not doing anything with the data, simply resetting the bus.static volatile uint8_t buf[128] = { 0 };   #define SPI_MAX_BYTES 125 // Buffer size - 3, due to RX pointer offset   void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { reset_spi_and_dma(); }   int main(void) { SCB_EnableICache();   HAL_Init();   SystemClock_Config(); &

hi All.My name is Alfredo, I just have got a Blue_Pill_STM32F103C8 board.I just installed STM32CubeIDE (Version: 1.3.0), i wrote a small project as toggle led using the CubeIDE configuration and everything is fine. but now i am trying to do the same thing using an empty project (it means, not using Cube configuration), after some hours, the project is compiled, and it is working if I debugged it using my ST-Link, so I can see the led on-off,running the program step by step (loading a var manually with a value to move the program forward), but when the debugger is disconnected, Led is not blinking anymore. I tested the program just setting the port and the led is ON, later i changed the program and I reset the port and the led is OFF.I have never set the clock in my project, I do not how to do it (i was looking for this setting) but i could find it.can you help please. As i am using a for in order to spend time, I tested A<=5000000, A<=50000,A<=500,A<=5 and always the Led si

Hi guys,I'm using STM32CubeIDE with STM32F030C6 at 48Mhz.I'm trying to generate the graph below in my application, but I only have Timer 16 and 17 available. Is this possible? Could someone give me a tip? Thanks!

I'm using version STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0 on Linux.I am developing a USB application, so I will need to use the external crystal. The external clock (HSE) for STM32F103C8 microcontroller is disabled in STM32CubeIDE. However, I see that it is possible to program with an external crystal (can be found in Figure 2. Clock tree of the datasheet).Could someone please tell if I have done something wrong.Steps to check is quite direct:-> Select STM32F103C8Tx microcontroller.-> In the .ioc file, "Clock Configuration", the HSE region will appear disabled.Thanks.

HelloI use STM32F769I-DISCO.Does changing from 24bit to 16bit reduce the load on the CPU?What is 16bit, if 24bit is 100%?Also, can't TouchGFX change 24bit to 16bit?Thank you.

Fresh installation, when I try to create a STM32 project a zip file with firmware is downloaded and unpacked, but I still get this error message:"Code generation could not be done because necessary firmware package is missing. Not able to complete STM32Cube project."I tried to download and unzip these files manually with no luck.I have this issue on my both PCs with windows 10. Also the same thing happens regardless if I try to create a project for my Nucleo F030R8 or Nucleo L053R8.

please don't recommend to buy stm32f746 board
