Posted on January 24, 2018 at 17:10I am trying to add MotionAR library to a DataLogger sample application running on SensorTile. I manager to compile the library and program my chip with it. Near the top of my main() I added simple MotionAR_Initialize() and MotionAR_GetLibVersion() function calls. It seems that PC is getting stuck in a loop inside of the init function as shown below.I can break out of this beq.n and b.n loop my moving the PC to the ldr line (080070e8) and the program continues fine. I am able to retrieve the version string from the GetLibVersion function.Any idea what the init function is waiting for?#sensortile #stm32l4 #motion #st-mems

Hi Everyone, When I send a structure pointer as an agument to a function, and trying to catch address of a variable in the structure in the function, MCU goes in to hardfault handler function. Let me simplify the problem as below,uint8_t *ptr1;uint32_t *ptr2;uint32_t temp;typedef struct{ uint8_t         Data[10];}example_struct;example_struct sensor;sensor.Data[0] = 0xAA;ptr1 = &sensor.Data[0]; // here ptr1 is pointing 0xAA with no problemptr2 = (uint32_t*) ptr1; // here *ptr2 is 0x000000AA, so there is no problem.temp = *ptr2; // here mcu goes in to hardfault handlerDo you have any idea why I am having this issue?Thanks

HiI am using a B-L072Z-LRWAN1  development board and I need to read data from a DTH22 sensor.I am trying to use TIM6 to get a micro second delay, but it seems I am missing something.The delay function :void delay (uint16_t time){ /* change your code here for the delay in microseconds */ __HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER(&htim6, 0); while ((__HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim6))<time);}The TIM6 initialization:static void MX_TIM6_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM6_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM6_Init 0 */ TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM6_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM6_Init 1 */ htim6.Instance = TIM6; htim6.Init.Prescaler = 50-1; htim6.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim6.Init.Period = 0xffff-1; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim6) != HAL_OK) {  Error_Handler(); } sMasterConfig.MasterOutputTrigger = TIM_TRGO_RESET; sMasterConfig.MasterSlaveMode = TIM_MASTERSLAVEMODE_DISAB

I have just created a new project with the latest version of CubeMX for an STM32G030F6Px and am using the code generator to provide basic bring-up code. However the generated project does not compile.I am using System Workbench (version 1.17.0.201812190825; all updates applied), with the SW4STM32 option set in the Project Manager. However I receive the message: ../Drivers/CMSIS/RTOS2/Template/cmsis_os.h:157:10: fatal error: cmsis_os2.h: No such file or directoryI have not enabled FREERTOS in the project settings, so I'm not sure why this is being compiled. Any ideas?!

I opened an old project that uses TouchGFX and was told I should migrate to a newer version of STM32CubeMX. So I installed 5.6.0 and tried to do an import as directed. BUT the Import Project... selection is grayed out. Now what?

I am using the STM32MP157C-DK2 board. I fixed the stm32mp157a-dk1 file as shown belowGenerated the device tree blobs (* .dtb) and updated the device tree blob on the board.I sent an echo "hello!" > /dev/ttySTM1and I see that the RTS pin is held for too long, I think that this pin is held all the time while the file is open by the operating system. Then I launched the Modbus-RTU test application. reception and transmission work correctly, but the RTS pin does not switch. The RTS pin was pressed to the ground when I launched the application and released when I closed the application.How to enable hardware flow control (rs485)?

I am using a STM32LO73RZ board. I have set up UART with interrupts and this works. I receive data that I send from an USB to TTL converter. When I sent a character one by one, this works fine. However, when I try to send a larger message, I keep missing a few characters. It starts after the first 4 bytes that are received. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Now we have a problem, our stm32 device board is delayed.Now we only can develop our UI on touch designer simulator. But we want to test our software of communication layer, using the serial port or TCP/IP port in one computer with the same port in another computer.How can I do? I read the API Document in the installed path of touch designer, but find nothing ,only HAL? But it seems to have nothing to do with communication. Or I have to add c++ lib ?

STM32H745 DS indicates there are these signals:CANFD1_TXFD_MODECANFD1_RXFD_MODECANFD2_TXFD_MODECANFD2_RXFD_MODENo mention is made in the DS for their purpose, nor in AN5348 "FDCAN peripheral on STM32 devices". The signals are not mentioned at all in the RM.So what are those signals for? How do you use them?

Hi For a school project we are working with the ST25R3916 to read/write MIFARE CLASSIC cards, but I'm stuck on the reading part. I found this in de datasheet: "Low level modes to implementMIFARE Classic® compliant or other custom protocols", What mode should I use? I've read something about Transparent mode and stream mode, do I use one of these 2?Thanks in advanceKind regards

I want to install Midnight Commander (MC) with following command:root@stm32mp1:/root# apt-get updateReading package lists ... Doneroot@stm32mp1:/root# apt-get install mcReading package lists ... DoneE: Unable to locate package mcUnsuccessfully, need your help

In the file stm32l4_hal_sd.c in functions:HAL_SD_WriteBlocksHAL_SD_ReadBlocksNo check is performed on tempbuff's bounds: its value must not exceeds pData base address + pData size but tempbuff gets incremented indefinitely until a hardfault is triggered by dereferencing reserved address space.Fix: enclose the block where tempbuff is incremented with the following condition:if( (tempbuff - pData) < (NumberOfBlocks * BLOCKSIZE))

I have the following code, which is *almost* always working. (It typically gets stuck after 10-100K characters.)void USART3_IRQHandler(void) { if (LL_USART_IsActiveFlag_TXE(USART3)) { stats.txe++; if (LL_USART_IsEnabledIT_TXE(USART3)) { LL_USART_EnableIT_TC(USART3); LL_USART_DisableIT_TXE(USART3); } } if (LL_USART_IsActiveFlag_TC(USART3)) { stats.tc++; if (txbusy) { txbusy = 0; } else { Error_Handler(); } LL_USART_DisableIT_TC(USART3); } }The intent is that txbusy should be set false once the serial port is ready to accept another outgoing character. (The type of txbusy is a global "volatile _Bool".)The code above works for 10-100K characters, but then an interrupt is missed, txbusy is left as 1 and the rest of the program stalls.What is the reliable way of sending single characters, and being able to test (without blocking) whether another character can be sent without corrupting the last character? (I want to poll to see if another character can be saf

Hi,Is it possible to use the ADC to monitor the battery supply voltage down to 1.8V just before the micro stops working. Due to the reference (2.048) I can only correctly read down to 2.4VThanks am

I designed a pcb adapter for this board in order to use it with my V2 based project, I’ll received soon this pcb from JLCPCB but I find no way to buy a board :ST website distributor stock informations are wrong, Digikey as 0 in stockFarnell has’nt got the product registeredCould ST sell me one via its shop or where can I find one ?, as a person not a corporate.thanks

Hello,Looking to integrate the ST25 in an ultra space constrained environment. As such antenna space is very limited so it seems like the best solution would be a wire wound inductor as read distance is not supercritical. The Pulse W3102 4.7uH inductor seems to be designed to be a NFC antenna. What are somethings I should keep in mind when integrating this as the ST25DV antenna? Will any additional tuning components be need? Would any wirewound 4.7uH inductor work? 4.7uH seems to be a fairly common value for NFC wirewound antennas, why is that?Additionally due to some of the safety requirements for this device there may be a design constraint to keep this inductor at 1uH or below. Preliminary research seems to indicate that a 1uH NFC should still be fine (?) . Could integrating a 1uH inductor work? What tuning components will be needed (at least to try as a first pass) ? Thanks.

This is the code: /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA , LED_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(10); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA , LED_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(10); char p[] = "128"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)p , sizeof(p), HAL_MAX_DELAY); HAL_Delay(200); }This is the UART config:/* USER CODE END USART2_Init 1 */ huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 9600; huart2.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart2.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart2.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart2.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart2.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart2.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart2) != HAL_OK) {  Error_Handler(); }The attachment show the clock configuration:

Posted on March 30, 2018 at 07:29This is occurring in fsdata_custom.c in the LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS project I imported from CubeMX.  The struct that is being referenced is :struct fsdata_file {  const struct fsdata_file *next;  const unsigned char *name;  const unsigned char *data;  int len;  u8_t flags;#if HTTPD_PRECALCULATED_CHECKSUM  u16_t chksum_count;  const struct fsdata_chksum *chksum;#endif /* HTTPD_PRECALCULATED_CHECKSUM */};and the HTTPD_PRECALCULATED_CHECKSUM is defined as 0.Where the error is occurring in fsdata_custom.c is at: (line 2336const struct fsdata_file file__STM32F7xx_files_logo_jpg[] = { {file_NULL,data__STM32F7xx_files_logo_jpg,data__STM32F7xx_files_logo_jpg + 28,sizeof(data__STM32F7xx_files_logo_jpg) - 28,1,}};According to the struct definition it looks like all the elements are there so I am confused.Anyone run across this?

Hi,Sometimes in my program, I use a timer in PWM mode, and sometimes it is off. How can I check the timer status, on or off? Thanks.

The BlueNRG-2 has multiple communication protocols available (UART, SPI, I2C). I am planning to use it in a custom PCB and would like to configure it for SPI, which I can only find mentioned in Section 3.8.2.2 "Procedure for enabling SPI" in the BlueNRG-2 Datasheet. How are you supposed to interact with it at this level (to program IO_MODE to route SPI port signals on those GPIOs)? What would the hardware setup look like? For this method, do you use the UART bootloader to program the on-board memory?I may be wrong, but from what I have read, there are only two ways of configuring it. One way is to use UART and open a COM port, and the other way is by using an ST Link/V2 programmer and connecting it to the SWD pins. Then by using the BlueNRG-2 Flashing Utility to load the DTM_SPI.hex file onto the chip. Is this accurate? I was wondering if anyone could explain any other options for configuring this chip for use with SPI, or provide any helpful information or resources pertaining to

Hello,(Hobbyist there) A few years ago I tried to develop on STM32 microcontrollers (the so called 'blue pill' to be exact) but the toolchain installation and the whole code generating process made me give up (also there wasn't full linux support if I'm not wrong, up to this day I still can't find official linux drivers for the ST-link). Fortunaly ST released the STM32CubeIDE which encompasses everything, making things a lot more easier for beginners.But after a few days of testing with the software and consulting documentations, I have a few questions and things I fail to achieve:1) When creating an STM32Project, I can choose between C and C++, but I don't see the difference between the two. At the end I just have a bunch of .h/c files and no .cpp files whatsoever (and especially no main.cpp). What does this mean ? Do I have to manually create .cpp and .h files in the Src and Inc folders, and must I copy the content of main.c in my own main.cpp ? How to tell the software to compile us

I compiled example from st cube. I found in clock configuration this parameters:RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = RCC_PLLM_DIV6; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLN = 85;This give to sysclk 177Mhz and it exceeds max frequency... when I set parameters to:RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = RCC_PLLM_DIV5; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLN = 68;cubemx and calculation inside example show me 170Mhz, but then Hrtim stop generate 100kHz signal (its around 96kHz and it's unstable...). Period is calculated as:/* Formula below works for PWM frequency > 83kHz (with prescaler ratio = 1) */#define TIMA_PERIOD ((uint16_t)(((uint64_t)HRTIM_INPUT_CLOCK * 32) / TIMA_PWM_FREQ))where TIMA_PWM_FREQ = 100000HRTIM_INPUT_CLOCK = 170000000Another thing to errata?

Hello,For a project, I am using the code given on the STLRWAN1 web page (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/i-nucleo-lrwan1.html#tools-software), and the project "End Node". I am using the L476 uC and the SX1272. How can I configure the code in order to make the antenna works on PA BOOST ? The original code makes the antenna works on RFO.Thanks.

X_NUCLEO_NFC05A1 please send me how to kernel driver file and device tree configuration and make menu configuration on this device if any supported links are there means please share us it is very helpful and also what are the changes i want to do for kconfig and makefile and how to enable spi . please tell me as much as early we are hopefully we are waiting for your replaythank you Regards,Raghavendra bhovi
