Hi everybody,I'm working on 10 stepper motors controller using STM32F407vgt6. Is there any way how to automatically turn off the step pulse after I turn it on programatically? Maybe something with timer(s)? Some turn off delay? The pulse should be turned off after a defined period of time/clock pulses. The reason why I'm trying to do this is, that stepper motor driver requires some time to sense the pulse and so I can't turn it ON and then OFF immediately.Thank you.

I'm thinking of using PB8 CAN1_RD and PB9 CAN1_TD on STM32L476 . And I don't think we can map them to other pins, is that right?

Hi, I'm using the converter Viper06 in my power supply board project. I'm having some difficulties to design the compensation network of the error amplifier. Could someone please tell me how to do this o share some documents that explains how to design the compensation network.I got some values with the online tool, but I would like to understand how these valuee come out! Thanks.Fab

Hello,i have been trying to put the st25r3916 in wake-up mode but i detect high power consumptions (around 900 uA). I am using a very basic code just to test current consumtion, i2c communication seems to work, but maybe i am missing some parts.int main(){ rfalAnalogConfigInitialize();   if(rfalInitialize() != ERR_NONE) {   } else { rfalWakeUpModeStart(NULL); } }Am i missing some api calls? Thanks,Regards

Hi,is there any plans to add support for MAC OSX to TouchGFX as all other ST tools seem to be multi platform? It would be greatly appreciated :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Kind Regards,Steinar

Hello, I am having problem sendind data to PC with USB. I set the USB_OTG_FS to device only mode and activated the VBUS. I selected Class for FS IP to Communication Device Class (Virtual COM Port). When I try to send data with the simple code below, no data is transmitted to PC: while(1) { //TSA_input_voltage = readVoltageValue(ADC_CHANNEL_5); memset(USB_String,0x00,255); StringLength = sprintf(USB_String," USB Voltage in: %d", 5); CDC_Transmit_FS(USB_String,StringLength); // HAL_Delay(1000); }In the debugging window I can see that it gets stuck at :if (hcdc->TxState != 0){ return USBD_BUSY; }So USBD is busy all the time. As a side note: I try to debug it by using an oscilloscope and it is clear that USB is initialized correctly. D+ line is high and D- side is low all the time. But that's all. No transmission occurs..So my question is, what might cause this problem? I believe I am missing some obvious point so I wanted to take opinions. Thanks beforehand.

Hello,I am using ST25R3911 to read ISO15693 tags with the ST example from X-CUBE-NFC5. Everything works fine, now, I would like to read memory of Mifare Ultralight (without encryption). I know that st25 can't read Classic Mifare, but I don't find the code in the library to read blocks of Mifare Ultralight (ISO 14443). Does it exist ?Thanks.

Thank you for helping.environmentTouchGFX Ver4.13.0STM32F769I-Discovery templateCannot change from 800 * 480 in Config-Display-Dimensions.This has been changed in 4.12.0.What should I do if I want to change the size?Thank you.

I 'm making a voltmeter - amp meter, this one...I 'm using an STM32F030K6T6.But when nothing is connected to the input, instead of outputing 0, the ADC gives me a value around 980.VDDA is tied to VDD.Boot0 is tied to GND.These are the ADC 's settings:ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1; Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DIRECTION_FORWARD; EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; LowPowerAutoPowerOff = DISABLE; ContinuousConvMode = DISABLE; DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_NONE; DMAContinuousRequests = DISABLE; Overrun = ADC_OVR_DATA_PRESERVED;What have I done wrong?Any help is welcome.

I am wondering why it was necessary to use 6 layers PCB board for ST25RU3993 Evaluation board ? As outlined in the documentation, layers are as follow: Top Layer - RF GND Layer - Power Layer- GND Layer Routing Layer -Bottom GND Layer.I want to change the Stack-up to 4 layers (to be economical) as: Top-GND-Power-Bottom (for routing and ground pour) and I wanted to be sure I am not missing a technical point since doing the PCB in 4 layers is totally feasible. Can anyone point out what is the point of having 6 layers versus 4 layers? Thanks

Hi all,I have a data streaming firmware and to keep the stream alive I must reset a counter before it reaches a fixed value. Is there a way to perform this operation with CubeMonitor while monitoring other values?Thank youWalter

Hi All,I am using BlueNRG-1. I wanted to integrate beacon code (i.e. BlueNRG-1 DK 2.3.0\Project\BLE_Examples\BLE_Beacon) to Mesh code (i.e. STSW-BNRG-Mesh\Firmware\Projects\BlueNRG-1\Applications\Lighting_Demo). I want both the code to work from a single application. After provisioning the device it should work as beacon. Is it possible ? Is there any example ? How to do it?Please Help !!Thanks.Regards,Vibhu

I am using the DMA2D in STM32F750Z8T's perform operations on buffers that are in external RAM.I am using it for drawing on the display, so I have the LTDC device active and the synchronization interrupt active. The first thing I do is fill a buffer with a unique value and the code is as follows:bool FillBuffer(uint32_t Xpos, uint32_t Ypos, uint32_t xSize, uint32_t ySize, uint32_t color) { uint32_t DstAddress; hdma2d->Init.Mode = DMA2D_R2M; hdma2d->Init.ColorMode = DMA2D_OUTPUT_ARGB8888; hdma2d->Init.OutputOffset = (GetXSize() - xSize); //GetXSize() return the maximum X size in pixel.   //Do not set the level settings because it is not necessary in this mode   DstAddress = ((uint32_t)temporary_buffer) + (GetXSize() * Ypos + Xpos) * 4; //GetXSize() return the maximum X size in pixel.   /* DMA2D Initialization */ if(HAL_DMA2D_Init(hdma2d) == HAL_OK) { if(HAL_DMA2D_Start(hdma2d, color, DstAddress, xSize, ySize) == HAL_OK) { /* Polling For DMA transfer *

I need to dynamically change waveforms on a PWM output on an STMF030 MCU.See it as a poor man's alternative to a signal generator using a DAC.It will be used to generate modulated audio waveforms.I am using DMA to lookup (a sine) waveform via a circular buffer, that is updating TIM->CCR1 to control the PWM duty Cycle. The PWM frequency is in the range 40-100kHz (10-25us period), and waveforms (duty cycle) will be stored in a 16 - 128 word lookup table, providing a modulated waveform in the 1-8kHz range.I would like to be able to update the waveform (CCR1 table) dynamically, but I am uncertain how to best do so. I would prefer the waveform change to be timed to take place at the completion of a waveform (DMA buffer transfer), to provide a controlled (smooth) transition between the two. Here are the options, that I have considered.Use two waveform buffers, one active and one passive. Update the passive waveform, and use the DMA TCIF (transfer complete) interrupt, to update the DMA to n

Dear all,I am requesting your help to understand well how the dual bank mechanism works before I start writing the firmware:I will use the internal bootloader to allow me to start from Bank1 or Bank2. Bank1 will store the factory firmware, and Bank2 will be used for the new version. Bank1 will receive the firmware via RF and write it in the Bank2 and check it. Bank1 will set the BFB2 bit and reboot the MCU to boot on Bank2.My questions : If the MCU boots on Bank 2 but the firmware is uncorrect, how can I reboot on Bank1? Is it possible to reset the BFB2 bit with power cycling? I want to be sure I cannot brick my device.Could you confirm that I do not have to relocate the interrupt vector table if I use the internal bootloader? How should I generate the binary to be sent to the device to be written in bank 2?Thank you all very much for your help and your contribution to this forum. Best

Hi,I'm trying to plot different values on different plot charts because they live in a very different scale, but it seems that the "Single value" subplot is not working. If I remove it the plot charts show all the values correctly.Any idea?Thank youWalter

When Microsoft excel 2016 opens texts.xlsx, it will report some error. If I accept corrections and save the file, the designer can not recognize the file.the text resource accumulates more and more, I must re-order the content. Which version or what other software should I use to modify the texts.xlsx.

I am learning serial protocols using STM32 boards (F411RE and L432KC). So far I have successfully configured the boards as master and slave to send data from one board to another, and as I checked it works perfectly(I communicate the received data from board to PC via UART). That utilized the MOSI line. Now I am trying to get data from the slave, using the MISO line. As I learned, to get data from slave you write a dummy byte to slave like 0x00 and get the data in the same chip select cycle. I did that and hooked up the MISO line to scope, decoded it and the line has my string in the appropriate order. However, storing the string on the master side seems to be an issue. Both the MCUs have a single data register in SPI module for tx and rx.I try to send "hello" from slave and this is what I am getting on master:It's not perfect, there are repeated as well as alternate characters. I am sharing the codes for master and slave, which are quite long, but the main function might be the only th

Hello All,I make an introduction, it is my first experience in the stm32 world, but I've been working with Linux embedded, MPUs MCUs etc.. for several years. In this days I'm starting to understand and try the M4 core in DK2 evk, following the wiki i'm able to use it. Now I would like to create a new project from zero, but I have a small problem. If I start new project in CubeMX, I can enable freertos but if I try to generete code i have the follow alert:Ok, i can try to change the TIMEBASE Source but is not possible (seems in use):Can someone help me?Best regards to allLuigi

Given that Oracle has changed their Java license to a commercial license that many developers and companies will be reluctant to accept, the dependency of STM32CubeProgrammer on it is problematic. Although the documentation suggests that it will work with OpenJDK if you install OpenJFX, I have not been able to get that combination to work, and judging from the commentary on the internet, a lot of developers are having the same issue.Since STM32CubeProgrammer is now the only STM tool that supports newer STM32 uControllers for UART flashing, please consider releasing detailed instructions on how to make it work with OpenJDK.

HelloI want to use ver 4.12.3 and 4.13.0. Is it possible? If so, how can I do that?Thank you.

Question is about TouxhGFX environment (C:\TouchGFX\4.13.0\env\MinGW).We want to use our own build environment, outside TouchGFX MinGW shell and NOT using tools included at C:\TouchGFX\4.13.0\env (make, /bin/*, binutils, etc.).Are there any specifics done with that environment you ship with Designer? For example there is non standard make included into MSYS, so maybe there are other custom things. Any startup custom setup...Basically, is there anything specific to know about configuration and setup of our custom fresh environment for building, CI/CD and more?P. S. We want to still let Designer itself to use out-of-the-box environment for code generation. I guess it would be too big of a hack to change that. Question applies to builds and not code/assets generation.P. P. S. If you are curious, goal is to have independent and fully controllable separate environment for local builds and CI/CD server (Win and Linux).

In reference manual, comparator power mode is not the same for all comparators. High Speed is (binary) 00 for comparators COMP1 and COMP2, and 11 for the others. In stm32f3xx_hal_comp_ex.h, high speed is 00 and this is applied to all comparators.
