Bare-metal STM32F030C8.Using input capture to receive encodes.Encodes are delimited by idle.I need to decode only the last 10 or so transitions of each encode.I want to perform the decode during the idle.So I’m using circular DMA and I want the timer interrupt to Fire on the first update following captures (on timer overflow), where I’ll signal the app do the decode and change the interrupt to capture, so it fires on the start of the next encodeFire on the first capture, where I’ll change the interrupt to update, i.e. two interrupts per received encode. But what I’m observing in the interrupt isIn the capture interrupt, I switch to interrupt to update successfully, i.e. I see only one capture interrupt. But I get two or three update interrupts in succession. This is the instrumented IRQ handler.EDIT replaced Cube TIM_FLAG macros with "CMSIS-mandated" TIM_SR macros.void TIMx_IRQHandler(void) { TIM_TypeDef *htimxInstance_p = _htimxInstance_p; uint16_t sr = htimxInstance_p->SR; // for

An oldie but still needed, CRC in the last word of the FLASH segment. So I'm fine up until I get to the point when I tell TrueStudio my application is other than an .ELF because at Properties / Run/Debug Settings/ Edit / TrueStudio is hobbled by supporting only elf applications.Does Cube-IDE remove this limitation or is it also handicapped by an inability to launch anything but .elf files?I suspect the answer is no because ST. But might as well ask, maybe a miracle happened. There's a taunting file - STM32Cube_FW_ClassB_V2.3.0 - with examples for IAR, Keil, and even System Workbench. Nada for ST's own product. It's like every time I turn around ST shoots me in the head. Thanks guys! Keep pushing me back to windows.EDIT so someone else already dealt with this and posted a solution to the elf problem here https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000AlflsxSQA/how-to-convert-hex-file-to-elf-file .

hi, I am working with the NUCLEO-F207ZG card and I have configured USART2 on port D.Now CubeMx offers me the setting of the RX pin in Push-pull mode !!!!!! The same for CTS !!!And there is no way to set the pin in any other way !!!Can anyone give me an explanation ???

Using an operating system such as free-rtos, it is common to send a message from the interrupt to a thread, but if the handle to the thread is not yet created - a hard-fault is usually seen. Testing a flag in the interrupt routine activated when the system is initialized can be used, but the best solution would be to let the user code take care of the NVIC enable instead of Cube-MX. Is there a way I can achive this?BrgMads-l

If I'm using a timer in input capture mode, how do I know which pins it wants to use for channels 1 and 2? I've been through the manual a bunch of times, looked for examples and other posts etc, I can't find the answer to this seemingly simple question. For example, I'm struggling to get TIM1 in input capture mode to work. One channel is set to rising edge, the other set to falling, etc. CubeMX suggests that TIM1 wants to use PC0 for Channel 1 (STM32F303), but I have no idea why it's that pin, and since I can't get any change on the pin to trigger a capture event, but the timer otherwise seems like it's working, I'm skeptical it's the correct pin.

I just installed the STM32CubeMX IDE and the packages for the STM32F7xx MCU. (I have used IDE's from IAR, Atmel and other sources for decades.) Unlike other IDE's, it appears that the current version of the STM32CubeMX does not contain any example projects!! In a previous post, there were instructions to click on Help -> Updater Settings. On my version of the IDE, there is no Updater Settings menu item. I would appreciate any help to locate the example projects.

The following bug occurs in the stm32h7xx_hal_eth library:When a feature of the ehernet peripheral is enabled which causes the DMA to use RX context descriptors, for example the ieee1588 timestamping unit, this leads to an inconsistent state of the RX descriptor list.I discovered that this is caused by the HAL_ETH_BuildRxDescriptors function which does not clear the own bit of the context descriptor and does not reset the context descriptor in the descriptor list. The following changes solve the problem:line 1159if(descscan < (dmarxdesclist->AppDescNbr -1))needs to be replaced byif(descscan < (totalappdescnbr - 1))The lineWRITE_REG(dmarxdesclist->AppContextDesc, 0);needs to be added before the return statement.Cheers, Jan

Hi there!I am new to STM8s Discovery, could someone suggests me how to print the values of variables in the program? it is more convenient if i can do this but I have no idea how to make it. Thank you very much ! Morris

Hello,We are using x-cube-usb-pd v3 library to implement source/sink application for our product. We've ported it to use on an STM32F030CC and using PTN5110 chip for TCPC controller. We are using configuration USBPD_TCPM_LIB_PD3_CONFIG_1.We have tested sourcing 5V 3A and is working well and now we'd like to go over 5V and want to support different voltages such as 9V and 12V.However, we run into problem where we can't seem to do this.On our hardware, we know we can support 9V or 12V output but for some reason, as soon as we turn the VBus to 9V, the vbus seems to disappear. I've collected a log again and attached here. I am testing with a phone this time (Huawei Redmi Note7). I've also monitored the VBUS on a scope and I can see that it tries to go up ( to around 8V) and then it goes down to 0V. I also scoped the EN_SRC pin and that is pulled low at the same time 8V disappears. It seems that before all that happens, we get an Hi voltage alarm and Low voltage alarm. I'm not sure if these

Hi,How to create custom containter that has moveAnimator mixin included? Is it possible?I want to create notification, which is operated using: notificationContainer.show()The custom container would implement this show() method, which would call startMoveAnimation() to itself, among other stuff.I can add moveAnimator mixin to container in this in view, but then I need to call the startMoveAnimation etc. routine in every view, instead of just calling show() and letting container deal with the implementation. How would I create custom container class that has MoveAnimator mixin?Designer generates it like this:touchgfx::MoveAnimator< notificationContainer > notificationContainer1;I cannot figure out how to create such class. Thanks!

My system have tens of pages, and have 3 hardware buttons to change the LCD backlight. When change the backlight, it is needed to display a small window on the current page. After finished the changing, the small window closed.I know I can create ModelWindow in each page, and display it in handleKeyEvent. In this case, I need to create the same code for each page. It must be very hard.Is there any simple method to do it?Thanks!

Hi All,is there any mcu in SPC5 family with interface for unmanaged raw NAND chips, e. g. External Bus Interface or something else? I've checked modern gen. datasheets and haven't found any mentions about NAND. Thanks for any help

My question is this - is one presently being worked on?Any further details a bonus..For the 'G' series, I'm really missing not having the ability to use the extra pins, including the TRACE when prototyping on my J-TRACE.I know there is the eval kit, but they are not really practical for prototyping or 'hooking into' my projects.I understand it will need an upgraded STLINK device and the STM32G series micro pin-out is different from the STM32F series..Many thanks Thanks.

Is the STM32L451CCU6 a Boundary scan device. I have found other STM32L451 processors BSDL files but cannot find one for this model.

Hi all , we have designed a custom board based on the ST25DV SMARTAG1 reference design with a 18.5cm *22.5 cm antenna as ST25DV-DISCOVERY-ANT-C1 . Our product is batteryless so we need to power it entirely by energy harvesting output. Before making our custom board we tested on smarttag1 board , we have made a simple change in the provided firmware code for smarttag1 and added this line  SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_WriteEHMode(SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_INSTANCE, 0x00);after HWInitialization();We got the expected behaviour and whenever we placed it near a android phone with nfc , we got the voltage from the energy harvesting pin between 3.3 to 3.6v .But on our custom board when we install the same firmware, the ST android app detects the tag but we get the voltage output from the energy harvesting pin as only 0.1 to 0.3 volts . Can you please help us with this problem ? is this because of the antenna size ? Hope my question is clear . thanks for your time

Any one who has successfully drive the eval board with Arduino via spi?I am trying to drive the ST25RU3993 Eval board using SPI, with my Arduino Due (i read an earlier post on that ran at different voltage and solve using 3V arduino board, in my case both devices run on 3.3V) to prototype a quick project. I use the oscilloscope and it seems my spi outputs (sclk, mosi, chipselect, enable) are looking good. However my ST25 board is not responding any useful feedback. Any clue?my wire up is as follow: MISO to MISO, MOSI to MOSI, SCLK to SCLK , pin 2 to EN, pin 52 to NCS.here is my Arduino code:#include <SPI.h> //////////////////////////////////////////// //set up pins for arudino due //MOSI:ICSP-4 //MISO:ICSP-1 //SCK:ICSP-3 //NCS:52 //en:2 // ///////////////////////////////////////////////   const int NCS = 52;   // set up the speed, data order and data mode SPISettings settingsA(5000000, MSBFIRST, SPI_MODE1);   void setup() {   pinMode (NCS, OUTPUT); pinMode(2

Hello, I am preparing a keypad project in touchgfx. Basically I need to print integer and fraction values on LCD screen through keypad. However, since touchgfx generates a wildcard as uint16_t, I am not able to put the value inside a buffer and giving it in the string form to snprintf, so as to print it on the screen. How can I generate a wildcard variable in char* format, instead of uint16_t format?

Hi,How to display strings in TouchGFX which is not defined previously in GUI

Hi ,I try to put IAP Driver in my projects. But, I have a problem with this driver. Let me inform you what I have done and what I have. I use STM32CubeIDE with STM32L071 Controller. I search the IAP Driver. Found one. Download the driver. Put the driver into my src and inc folder. Try to compile. Then, I get error because the driver is used by STM32F4 Series and the driver use Standard Peripheral Library.Considering that STM32CubeIDE generate HAL Library, so I need your help to translate this part of code from Standard Library into HAL Library or their equivalent.FLASH_EraseSector(i, VoltageRange_3) != FLASH_COMPLETE   FLASH_Status FLASH_EraseSector(uint32_t FLASH_Sector, uint8_t VoltageRange)   (FLASH_OB_GetWRP() >> (UserStartSector/8)) == (0xFFF >> (UserStartSector/8))   FLASH_OB_WRPConfig(UserWrpSectors, DISABLE);I really appreciate for your help. thanks.Pradipta

Hello,Has anyone tried updating STM32 firmware over HS USB?I can't remember where I read it, but I remember the default STM32 DFU mode is only compatible with the FS USB.My device is a "USB Device" and it only needs HS USB to do the job, FS is not really required. So I'm looking for ways to implement DFU mode with the HS USB connection.I searched everywhere for the FS or HS connection DFU mode, but I'm only seeing how to use DFU mode not what USB type to use.

Hello,I'm using STM32F302R8T6. I generated the code by CubeMX and using IAR compiler.At first, TIM1,2 is working well. But TIM15,16,17 is not working.So, I tried to access direct the register as next code.while (1){ TIM1->CR1 = 0xffff; TIM2->CR1 = 0xffff; TIM15->CR1 = 0xffff; //(*(volatile unsigned *)0x40014000) = 0xffff; printf("TIM1:%X,TIM2:%X,TIM15:%X\r\n",TIM1->CR1,TIM2->CR1,TIM15->CR1); HAL_Delay(100);}The result of above in serial terminal is attached picture."TIM1:BEF,TIM2:BEF,TIM15:0"(TIM1 & 2 was changed by code but TIM15 is always zero)In my attempt, no method worked.Please help me.
