I am working on a project with a client, we use git for revision control and we have a private, shared, online repository for the project. When the client pulls the latest project, opens the "ioc" file in CubeMX, and regenerates the project, he sees the "ioc" file has many changes.Examination of his file and the original shows that the actual data looks to be the same in both files, however, the order in which the data appears is very different. On the most recent pull and generate he reported over 300 "changes" in the file.Why is this happening and how can we avoid it? Seeing the project file marked as changing so much may be benign, however, especially for the client it is disturbing.Sid

Hello everyone, I am new to STM32CubeIDE. I want to ask how to configure Memory address in the STM32CubeIDE. (Image Below)I saw that the linker file was auto generated, so I am assuming that there is a setting in STM32CubeIDE that can let me configure the memory such as adding SDRAM memory ORIGIN and LENGTH. Currently, I manually adjust the file,I am worried it will get overwritten some time in the future after compiling the project.

Dear STM CommunityI am facing a problem with flashing/erasing STM32H745 microcontroller using STM32-ST Link Utility. Everytime I try to perform any operation I receive popular "Can not connect to target! If you're trying to connect to a low frequency application, please select a lower SWD Frequency...."So I did that. I went to Target -> Settings. ST-LINK, Serial Number and Firmware of ST-LINK V3 were recognized correctly. I was even able to upgrade the firmware. But setting Mode to Normal or Connect Under Reset or lowering the frequency of SWD is not helping me with connect to, flash or erase the chip. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi, i'm using a nucleo-144 board with LwIP stack v2.0.3 in a network communication hardware project, most specific a STM32F207ZG. I would like to change the "STMicroelectronics" string that appear in a scan network for a custom string.Someone have an idea of how to...?

Trying to receive data on MCU (L432KC) configured as SPI slave. I have tried using interrupt and DMA, but no luck. I have set up the circuit like this : 1 MCU acts as master sending 1,2,3 every 500ms interval (I hooked up master lines to scope and the signals are generated correctly). On the other MCU configured as slave, I've connected a RGB led, which is supposed to react to 1,2,3.Here's my code (interrupt handler commented)#include "stm32l4xx.h" // Device header   //RGB led is common anode   #define RED_ON (GPIOB->ODR &=~(1<<1)) #define RED_OFF (GPIOB->ODR |=1<<1)   #define BLUE_ON (GPIOB->ODR &=~(1<<6)) #define BLUE_OFF (GPIOB->ODR |= 1<<6)   #define GREEN_ON (GPIOB->ODR &=~(1<<7)) #define GREEN_OFF (GPIOB->ODR |= 1<<7);   void SPI1_Slave_init(void); void delayms(int count); int SPI1_read(void); void SPI1rx_DMA_init(int c);     int main() { int c=1; SPI1_Slave_init(); SPI1rx_DMA

I am not able to find details what the restrictions are and what is disabled. When simply looking at the allocation Table it should work. Below my desired configuration: SWDIO (PA13)SWCLK (PA14)LPUART (PA2 / PA3)USART1 (PB6 / PB7)USART4 (PA0 / PA1)USART5 (PB3 / PB4)IC21 (PA9 / PA10)

Dear all, is it possible to change the Y scale for Chart? In the information panel I can see group[Home] Chartorder4width"7"height"5"chartType"line"curveType"linear"duration"10"ymin""ymax"", but in the Properties tab I can see only group, size, chart type, curve type, duration and name... Scale is missed.

Thank you for helping.environment:STM32F769I-DISCOTouchGFX4.12.3STM32CubeIDE1.3.0I want to create a screen for setting parameters such as IP address.(1)Is there a text box to enter in the UI? I use STM32MP151CAA3 mounted on my own board.I want to generate TIM5 global interrupt in Cortex-M4.I have written following code, However, TIM5 global interrupt doesn't occurs (TIM5_IRQHandler doesn't be called).In Keil MDK-ARM Debbuger, I have confirmed following settings are reflected.--TIM5_DIER->UIE = 1--TIM5_CR1->CEN = 1--When TIM5 CNT reach TIM5_ARR value, TIM5_SR->UIF is set.#include "stm32mp1xx_hal.h"   void TIM5_Start(void) { TIM_HandleTypeDef m_handleTim5; TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig;   __HAL_RCC_TIM5_CLK_ENABLE();   m_handleTim5.Instance = TIM5; m_handleTim5.Init.Prescaler = 41999; m_handleTim5.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; m_handleTim5.Init.Period = 0; m_handleTim5.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&m_handleTim5);   sClockSourceConfig.ClockSource = TIM_CLOCKSOURCE_INTERNAL; HAL_TIM_ConfigClockSource(&m_handleTim5, &sClockSource

The H745 Datasheet says General-purpose input/outputs : Up to 168 I/O ports with interrupt capabilityYet, every pin I select as GPIO (ex. PORTC.13 (PIN E3)), only lists INPUT or OUPUT options, but no Interrupt mode.If I bypass the Stm32CubeIde 1.3.1's auto-code-generation, and forcefully initialize a GPIO to interrupt.. reading the PIN works, but the interrupt does not:GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_13; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct);   /* Enable and set EXTI lines 15 to 10 Interrupt to the lowest priority */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI15_10_IRQn, 2, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI15_10_IRQn);   /* Configure the EXTI line for IT*/ HAL_EXTI_D1_EventInputConfig(EXTI_LINE13 , EXTI_MODE_IT, ENABLE);How can I make any GPIO issue a interrupt?

 So I adjusted the ARR and Prescalar values to adjust the pwm frequency(20KHz). Timer Clock is 200MHzI want to change the resolution in the run time with a function. How can I change it?Changing the ARR value will change the resolution?Thanks in advance

Hi,Fast Transfer Mode data transaction and image transactions are working ok, but firmware upgrade and some other functionalities (like stopwatch transfer) are not working in Android NFC Tap Application...I'm using:ST25DV-Discovery kit with FW v1.1.2Android NFC Tap Application v3.2.0 (ST25SDK v1.6.0).Debugging into NFC Tap App, I note that the problem is that ST25DV tag didn't response to addressed mode FTM Write Command (RF Protocol request message flag set to addressable transaction, and tag UID used in message transaction. Request flags - 0x22; address flag set to '1'). Also, no GPO event is fired, the Tag is not placing the data into the Mailbox:...   this = DecorView@c70cd2c[ST25DVFirmwareUpdateDemoActivity] D/Iso15693CustomCommand: ==> Send readDynConfig command: 22 ad 02 06 0c 1a 05 00 25 02 e0 0d D/Iso15693CustomCommand: Response: 00 01 D/Iso15693CustomCommand: ==> Send writeMsg command: 22 aa 02 06 0c 1a 05 00 25 02 e0 08 08 01 00 00 04 12 34 56 78 D/Iso15693CustomC

Hello! I am using STM8L051F3 with Stm8 SPL headers. I am trying to configure PC0,PC1,PC4 as output with high level:CLK->PCKENR1 &= `CLK_PCKENR1_I2C1; GPIOC->DDR |= (1<<0)|(1<<1)|(1<<4); GPIOC->CR1 |= (1<<0)|(1<<1)|(1<<4); GPIOC->ODR |= (1<<0)|(1<<1)|(1<<4);as a result, i got high level only on PC4.According to DS1178 Rev4 ( STM8L051f3 datasheet) p.23 PC0 and PC1 has main function as PORT and alternate function as I2C. I think, that somehow PC1 and PC0 acts as I2C (SDA/SDL) Please help me to configure PC0 and PC1 as ordinary port.

I'm setting the SPI input clock for the port I'm using at 50MHz to allow SPI speeds up to 25MHz for use with an SD card under SPI. However, this gives a minimum speed of 50MHz/256 = 195KHz and this is too fast for initialising some SD cards. I need to find a way to get a lower speed (<100KHz) whilst maintaining the 25MHz maximum. The SPI incoming clock is derived from PLL2Q. Changing the PLL settings can only be done with PLL disabled and that isn't possible as PLL2 is also used for FMCInspiration needed

HiI am using the STM32F407 discovery board. Yesterday evening, I tried to init the SPI1. Then something strange happened. I suddenly receive the error message "Fail to insert all hardware breakpoints: You may have requested too many hardware breakpoints/watchpoints".Also, the LCD based on HD44780 was working perfectly fine outputting the correct text. Now the text is either appended with a 32 constantly, or the text is flickering. So instead of saying "Alex", it says "Alex32". Source code and console output text are given below. Any idea? I am also a little bit confused about the ST Link voltage, which is 2.88V. Is it supposed to be that voltage or may I gotten myself a hardware error?Source code:#if !defined(__SOFT_FP__) && defined(__ARM_FP) #warning "FPU is not initialized, but the project is compiling for an FPU. Please initialize the FPU before use." #endif   #include "stm32f4xx.h"   void funcSPIInit(); void funcIntInit();   uint8_t RXvariable = 0; uint8_t T

I have a custom bootloader in my application. This bootloader write some data in one of the sectors in the STM32H7, lets call this data "bootloader flash data".This bootloader flash data is written to/read from multiple times during DFU, and to get into bootloader mode, etc.Whenever the bootloader flash data is updated, I first erase the entire sector. Then I program my data. I am noticing after 1-3 flash writes the sector containing the bootloader flash data corrupts and the memory goes to 0. All of the HAL functions HAL_FLASH_Unlock, HAL_FLASH_Program, HAL_FLASH_Lock return HAL_OK.The general sequence by which I update the bootloader is the following1) taskENTER_CRITICAL2) Erase bootloader3) taskEXIT_CRITICAL4) taskENTER_CRITICAL5) HAL_FLASH_Unlock6) HAL_FLASH__Program...7) HAL_FLASH_Lock8) taskEXIT_CRITICAL9) Verify data by readingNote that I am using FreeRTOS in the bootloader. When ever I am writing to flash I disable interrupts using taskENTER_CRITICAL and taskEXIT_CRITICAL. a) W

Hi, I am new to STM32 platform. I am using the STM32F439 Nucleo-144 board and STM32CubeIDE. I noticed that in the STM32Cube graphic interface, I can't find anything for SSL/TLS? I did read about Polar SSL but I can't find it anywhere in the interface or in any of the folders. I also can't find it under third party. Even wolfSSL. So my question is, what TLS is used for this? And where can I get it/how can I add it to the STM32Cube project? I'm planning to add TLS to my TCP project. Thanks.AJ

In the attached, notice (in the Disassembly window) how the "Minimize code size (+compact)" compiler option entirely did away with the if-else portion of the code, whereas "No Optimizations" does not do this. Is that telling me that the optimizer is so 'smart' that it could tell I was writing a given byte to data EEPROM, reading it back out from the same location in EEPROM and comparing that to the original value written (to check successful operation) and that it 'assumed' that the two values would necessarily be equal? But if so, isn't it INSANE for the optimizer to make that assumption? And if so, am I limited to fat non-shrunk code that won't fit on my MCU? :\

Hi,We designed stm32f7 based custom board and it consist 3 slave devices (FPGA) connected to SPI3 in master mode. when three slaves connected simultaneously & try to access one by one, first two slaves are able to read/write & 3rd slave fail to access (read/write)But if i connect one by one device to SPI at a time, it works as expected without any errors.Is there any know issue/bug with SPI3, when we interface more than two slaves ?

I am trying to read/write from backup registers in STM32H7.Below is my code:__HAL_RTC_WRITEPROTECTION_DISABLE(hrtc); HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess();   HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateTamper(hrtc, RTC_TAMPER_1); __HAL_RTC_TAMPER_CLEAR_FLAG(hrtc, RTC_FLAG_TAMP1F);   uint32_t tmp = HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR0); HAL_RTCEx_BKUPWrite(hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR0, (uint32_t) 0xFF88FF88); tmp = HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR0);The read/write is not working, I am getting the same value (which is 1701732715) every time I read. The RTC clock is enabled and tamper 1 is enabled.What is the issue?Related questions: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkXJ0/why-rtc-backup-register-write-fails-stm32f446 (I have tried the related question from here).

For my new article project "Secure Elements" on www.chip-info.com I am trying to figure out which personalisation options are available for STSAFE-A.  STSAFE brochure explains that that ST offers customer-specific personalisation service for projects > 50ku. In addition, AN5435 describes a standard profile used for generic STSAFE-A samples. Can I create a custom personalisation profiles myself - for in-house production use? How? Do I have to sign an NDA?

Dear Community Members & STM32 fans,Let’s end 2018 thanking you for your involvement in our Community and wishing you all the best for 2019!As already done in 2017 (https://community.st.com/s/feed/0D50X00009bLPmvSAG) and in 2018 (https://community.st.com/s/feed/0D50X00009bLSAKSA4), we open this space to hear from you.This is an opportunity for us to evaluate what we deliver as offer and to know your expectations.If we come back to the STM32 portfolio end of last year, it was like this:Now the image is getting larger with new products as well as ecosystem components:Compared to the wishes you shared previous years, we weren’t able to answer all proposals for sure, but may be some of our solutions met what you looked for. Like for example: delivering .ioc file in the STM32Cube package which we started with STM32G0...Either you are a follower of the STM32 history as well as the Community updates, or a new member in this space, would you mind share with us your feedback answering the f

Hi,I work with STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.3.1Build: 6291_20200406_0752 (UTC)I somehow managed to disable automatic code generation for altered *.ioc file.Now it doesn't automatically regenerate the source files according to the changesI made in the configuration window for my STM32... instead it just shows a bracketed textbesides my *.ioc file in the Project Explorer so I have to click on the "Device Configuration Tool Code Gerneration" button to generate it. If I remember correctly there was once a question if I want to auto-generate the code.It seems I denied the question and ticked the "do not ask again" field. How can I revoke that decision?
