Hello,I am working on a project that acquires ADC readings and saves them into a buffer in the M4 side of STM32mp157 chip on DK2 board, now I need to build a kernel module that copies the saved buffer from the SRAM to DDR on the A7 side when a certain interrupt is triggered. As I am a beginner in embedded linux world I am wondering about the way to do this, I tried memcpy() at first but errors arise when inserting the module (Can't page virtual address error), I also tried converting the SRAM address from physical to virtual before memcpy() but that didn't work as well.Is there a direct way to copy data between the memories like memcpy() or do I need to use DMA from the kernel module to copy the data, if the DMA is the way, sharing an example would be great. Thanks

I want to combine multiple card in one, can I do as I said above? If yes, how do I read the card from flash then send to st25r3917 for card simulation?

Hi,I want to use wildcard texts, which align text to right instead of left.I have empty text items (nothing but <value>), which have text area width set to full width of the screen. I need the text inside the text area to be "anchored" to right side, so that the added text will "grow" left, instead of right.Align feature does not seem to do anything. So far I cannot figure out anything else than manually call  textItemRight.moveTo(XPOS - textItemRight.getWidth(), textItemRight.getY());to align texts to right. This is cumbersome to do manually for many texts.

1- What is the deference between figure 10 and 11? And what is (S22943) in figure 11? is all I need to use active antenna inductor and capacitor? If it is yes what is the value?2- I have seen in the   in section 7 general schematic. Is it for passive antenna only?Thanksbest regards

I use STM32MP151CAA3 mounted on my own board.I want to start to count up TIM3 in PWM generation mode in Cortex-M4.I have written following code, However, TIM3 doesn't start to count up (After Line 56, TIM3_CNT value doesn't change at all).In this code, PB04 port is used as PWM output port.void TIM3_Count_Start(void) { TIM_HandleTypeDef m_handleTim3; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC; TIM_SlaveConfigTypeDef sSlaveConfig; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig; GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;   /* Peripheral clock enable */ __TIM3_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_4; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_LOW; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF2_TIM3; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct);   m_handleTim3.Instance = TIM3; m_handleTim3.Init.Prescaler = 0; m_handleTim3.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; m_handleTim3.Init.Period = 0; m_handleTim3.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_

Hi, I'm relatively new to microprocessors and everything ST. I've recently been assigned to a project that is supposed to use the LSM6DSOX to track movement within a 3D space. I have the SensorTile.box and a STM32Nucleo-L476RG board. I've been having a lot of trouble trying to use the sensor within the SensorTile.box. I tried using Unico GUI, but it won't detect my sensor when I connect it to my computer. I confirmed the SensorTile.box is on, and my computer detects its presence (I'm able to see it in the File Explorer and access the contents of the board). I have STM32CUBEIDE installed, I installed the X-CUBE-MEMS1 Additional Software Pack, I tried downloading the STM Virtual COM Port drivers, but I still can't seem to get this to work. I am running Windows 10, and have tried the most recent versions of all the above mentioned software. Can anybody help me get started, or at least steer me in the right direction? The online videos I've found have people seamlessly using Unico GUI, whi

I am working on STM32G030J6, and I programmed it using STMCubeProgrammer through BOOT0 pin. I have also changed the option bytes nboot_sel to 0 to boot from pin and NRST mode to GPIO. The code works fine when RDP level is set to 0. When RDP is set to 1, the MCU works randomly; it sometimes executes the code and sometimes doesn't. I was wondering if the problem is a hardware problem or a configuration mistake. Would highly appreciate your help and suggestions.

Hi all, trying to download a copy of your STM32CubeMonitor-RF, I am a little confused about SW revisions.According to your download site it should be 2.5.0:But it looks as if the downloaded executable still is revision 2.4.0. Setup wizard reports this:Also the installed SW says 2.4.0:Could you please have a look and / or provide a link for the latest 2.5.0?Thank you and kind regardsGotthard

Hi,I want to configure my STM32H7 MCU to use SMPS configuration.I try to select RCC -> Supply Source -> PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY, but then get build error Src/main.c:136:26: error: 'PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY' undeclared (first use in this function)This is because "SMPS" is not defined. I try to define this manually typing #define SMPS in stm32h7b3xx.h (it is in stm32h7b3xxq.h example projects), but again got more build errors in various lines that SMPS and many more is not defined.Where am I supposed to define and configure this? Is the STM32CubeMX supposed to work this way or is it a bug?EDIT, additional info:My project does not contain stm32h7b3xxq.h files, only stm32h7b3xx.h. The Q-file includes a lot of power related defines (e.g. PWR_CR3_SMPSEN).Why my project is missing these "Q files"? Why STM32CubeMX does not generate these files for me?Our MCU is STM32H7B3IIK6EDIT2: wait, this number does not seem to contain SMPS (Q-type), yet our schematic is wired using SMPS configuration.

Hi there,Lets say my device is configured as an SPI slave device with a software NSS pin. The STM32 HAL API doesn't use the SSI bit from CR1 register at all. I was wondering, what actually happens to the SPI peripheral when I manually set or clear that bit? If I call HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT and then call CLEAR_BIT(spis->hSpi->Instance->CR1, SPI_CR1_SSI), will that mean that any data clocked to the SPI slave device will be just ignored without affecting the state of the SPI slave peripheral? I am actually trying to implement this functionality- In the system there is one master any many slaves that are chosen via separate NSS pins. In my slave device code, I am handling the NSS signal manually as EXTI input and I want to set/ clear the SSI bit there. Is this approach correct, or do I not understand something?I have found this topic, but its left unanswered. The author seems confused too.I would appreciate all help.

CubeMX shows no option for setting the active channels for analog watchdog 2 and 3 for the STM32G474RBTx.

Hello, Like the title says when I connect an ST-link to a computer to try to program an NRF52 through an arduino with it it won't show up on COM port but can be found in device manager under "USB devices" as can seen by this picture:  How do you fix that problem and make the device appear as a COM port?BTW I have a similar problem with the original ST link and J link as well.

I use a makefile to build a project. And I can flash it eaisly all I need how to use CMSIS to write programs I blinked a LED with that way but I am stuck at that point. I need a book, document, course for that. And STM's programming Manuals are gibrish ı cant understand anything from them.

After I upgrade the CubeIDE to the latest version I'm not able any more to debug a project that before the upgrade was working fine.My current CubeIDE version is Version: 1.3.1 Build: 6291_20200406_0752 (UTC)Muy cube programmer is V2.4.0And the error message I get is:Encountered Error when opening C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.2.0\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.cubeprogrammer.win32_1.3.0.202002181050\tools\bin\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe

I looked at reference manual and didn't see what was causing this.

Hello - My project is based on the SensorDemoBLESensor application built using using the CubeMX tool version 5.6.1 with the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 development board attached to a NUCLEO-F303RE. I successfully added 5 custom characteristics to my first custom service. When I attempt to add a 6th characteristic the aci_gatt_add_char() returned 0x48 (BLE_STATUS_OUT_OF_MEMORY) on the STM32F303. I added a 2nd custom service and successfully added the characteristic that failed to add on the first service. So I don't think this a total memory problem. The modified the default DTM settings in DTM_Config.h running on the BlueNRG-M2 as follows:#define DTM_NUM_LINK           2 // Was 8#define DTM_NUM_GATT_SERVICES  5 // Was 8#define DTM_NUM_GATT_ATTRIBUTES 125 // Was 68#define ATT_VALUE_ARRAY_SIZE   (3000) // Was 1248I still see the error. There seems to be a limit to the number of characteristics (attributes) per

Stupid newbie question: apologies if I've missed this but I'm looking for a Windows command-line tool to capture SWO output from the target, i.e one that connects to the target, sets the appropriate register bits to configure SWO output etc., takes a configuration item for a frequency value and then streams the SWO line output from the target to stdout or a named file.To be clear, I don't want a GUI tool, this is for running under automation where there is no GUI possibility, I just need my debug printf()s sent to a file. I know the ST-LINK utility can do it in GUI form but the command-line version doesn't seem to be able to do the viewing part. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi to everyone, First: thanks to ST and TouchGFX team for this great graphics tool/designer - it is really awesome with all the possible widgets and interaction.I'm new to TGFX and have also near zero experience with Cpp but I was able to build a nice UI with some screens, containers and so on but one thing I'm not able to find a solution.I created a custom container with an vertical slider and an custom indicator image (round knob). On this knob i want to set on top a text field which value depends on the slider value (1-10) and is also moving with the slider knob position.I was able to change the text value depending on the slider value but I don't know how it's possible to move the text with the slider knob position.Maybe someone can help me, I'm happy about every hint, web link or code sample.Thank you in advance.BR,H.S.

What are your recommendations for learning to code and configure peripherals and also learn the architecture of the Microcontroller??

I'm designing for a project using the STM32L552CET6 to hold me over until the STM32L4P5CGT6 is in stock. The datasheet (DS12737 Rev4) for the STM32L552xx line describes the interface as available in Table 2. The reference manual mentions an independent supply for USB. But Figure 10 and Table 21 show the LQFP-48 package as replacing Pin 36's VDDUSB supply with VDD.I think I can safely assume there's no boost to get 3V on the DP and DM lines for the PHY if the voltage on VDD is lower. I was hoping for a little clarification. Is this supply actually USBVDD, not VDD as in the datasheet? Is the USB peripheral unavailable on the L552CE? Is it only available when VDD > 3.0V? Or does it require external hardware? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all.I am going to make a complete prototype of a PCB which include NFC transceiver ST25R95. I Have calculated with ST spreadsheets the values of matching capacitors from estimated values of Rant and Lant, Cant is unknown and is not being considered. The measures, I mean from one hole to another hole, the coil/antenna. The coil is drawn on both sides of the PCB.Current schematic of RF part:Current PCB layout:eDesign tool gives Lant = 567nH. Since the coil is double side, multiply it by 4 (but I will use 3.75). Then, 3.75 * 567nH = 2.13uH.So I drawn the coil. Total lenght is 594mm, if consider both sides summed. Rant calculated = 2.05 ohms. To reach 2.05 ohms, use PCB parameters: 0.5 oz (18um) copper thickness, length = 594mm total and 12 mils for trace width.Having Rant = 2.05 ohms and Lant = 2.13uH, I can use the component calculator spreadsheet of ST25R95. And from here came my values shown at the top of the topic for capacitors C21, C22 and C23.Is there something missing on the ca

Hi All,I've managed to successfully set up OpenOCD (semihosting) debugging after following the advice here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000B5HQMG/how-to-get-arm-semihosting-to-work-on-stm32cubeide and in this youtube video: Lecture 8: Testing printf using semihosting and OpenOCDHowever, it seems that OpenOCD creates a lot of performance overhead and my code runs too slow for the application. I know this because I have a timer interrupt set up to trigger every ~1ms and when running in debug mode via OpenOCD, this interrupt gets triggered before the main program has finished executing some code, whereas when I run it in release mode (no OpenOCD), the main program code gets executed before the timer interrupt. Is there any alternative (faster) way to do printf debugging for my STM32L053C8T6 (Cortex M0+)?Alternatively, is there a fast way I could get clues as to how my code getting executed as it jumps in and out of interrupts? Notes:I am aware of this document: https://www.st

Dear STM engineers and community,I'm working with STM32MP157-DK2 (Developer-Package 1.2) and an evaluation board for ADAU1977 ADC from Analog Devices. Desired setup entails using the external codec as the master of I2S communication (the same as with the onboard Cirrus codec on the board).Following the great documentation provided by the wiki pages (kudos to the teams working on that!) I have almost managed to get everything working perfectly. In order to get to this point I have done the following:Desoldered SB1 through SB4, and then soldered SB13 through SB16 in order to disconnect onboard codec from SAI2 and access it from the GPIO headerAdded the codec_of_xlate_dai_id in the source of the manufacturers driver according to: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/SAI_device_tree_configurationIncluded the source files of the edited codec driver through kconfing and menuconfig and configured them as modularEdited the device tree (stm32mp157c-dk1.dts) according to all available documentation
