Solved

Good day everyone.I'm trying to build application for dual-core MCU STM32H747XI on Disco board:Cortex-M4 core initializes System clock, QSPI and SDRAM and boots M7 coreCortex-M7 does all of dirty job like executing instructions from QSPI and etc.I tried to disable M7 core bootup after reset by uhckecking BCM7 bit on STM32CubeProgrammer.First time it just throwed me verification error and bit got back to checked. Second time it unchecked successfuly, everything has been applied but the MCU immediately died so DISCO board become bricked. Now it does not connecting with ST-LINK using SWD, JTAG, different Access Ports, when pressing Reset button and etc. It always says: "Error: No STM32 target found!"I tried to use System Boot (by shorting R192 on the board, it sets BOOT0 to 1) and connect via UART on STM32CubeProgrammer. It says "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again."Also no connec

I'm using NUCLEO-F031K6 (MCU: STM32F031K6) for PWM output generation (100Hz clock). Project is generated from STM32CubeMx v5.6.1. PA11 (TIM1_CH4) is used for PWM output. No clock pulses are seen. APB1 timer clock is 8MHz. ------------------------------------Timer-1 settings:-------------------------------------Prescaler: 79Counter Period: 999Pulse: 500Any clue?GPIO toggle is working for the same pin, PA11

Version:TouchGFX 4.13.0File:touchgfx\framework\source\touchgfx\widgets\ButtonWithIcon.cpp:39The code is:#ifdef __IAR_SYSTEMS_ICC__ // Only include in IAR compilation #pragma diag_suppress=Pe997 // Suppress warning for intentional virtual function override #elif __ARMCC_VERSION #pragma diag_suppress 997 #endifBut it should be:#ifdef __IAR_SYSTEMS_ICC__ // Only include in IAR compilation #pragma diag_suppress=Pe997 // Suppress warning for intentional virtual function override #elif defined(__ARMCC_VERSION) #pragma diag_suppress 997 #endif(missing "defined")Compiling on GCC, the #elif gets evaluated, but the symbol __ARMCC_VERSION doesn't exist, so the compiler either complains about it and treats it as 0, or it exits with an error (if the "-Werror=undef" option is set).Compiler error:"__ARMCC_VERSION" is not defined [-Werror=undef]"PS: is this the proper way to file bug reports or is there a more appropriate (and more structured) place for it?

We use two types of sensors for our dev: lsm6dso and lsm6dsox. It is necessary to detect the type of sensor SW (without opening the device). And it's difficult, because adress (we use i2c) is the same, Device Identification (Who am I) is the same for LSM6DSO and LSM6DSOX... and i can't imagine how to easy to detect it

Hi ! I’m testing UART interrupt mode to transfer data with STM32L4R5 (IDE : STM32CubeIDE).I’m using HAL_UART_Transmit_IT and I have a problem with UART Handler. No data is send and the instructions in while loop in main function are not executed because the UART Handler is triggered without stopping. In debug mode I see that the isrflags and errorflags varaibles in HAL_UART_IRQHandler are equal to 0. That’s why no data are sent I think and the callback function is never called. I don’t understand my problem. Could anyone please help me ?Here is my code :// main.c file ///* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/UART_HandleTypeDef hlpuart1;UART_HandleTypeDef huart1;/* USER CODE BEGIN PV */uint8_t tx_buf[] = "Hello\n\r";/* USER CODE END PV *//* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_LPUART1_UART_Init(void);void HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback(UAR

Problem is that the voltage does not rise to 3.3V, I measure it at 1.64V. The pin has nothing connected to it and I tried this on 2 MCUs.Using STM32CubeIDE 1.2.0 Build: 5034_20200108_0926, I created a simple project and configured pin PB6 as GPIO_INPUT. In the GPIO configuration I set PB6 to pull-up. Nothing else configured, everything else is at default settings. The code generated looks correct:static void MX_GPIO_Init(void) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configure GPIO pin : PB6 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_6; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_INPUT; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct);}NRST_MODE in the user option bytes is set to 1, but this shouldn't affect anything. It's almost as if this pin is bonded to something else that is trying to pull it low. What can I do to get this pin working?

Hi, I want to make a backup of the SD-card with the linux image. I tried it with Win32 Disk Imager (like on the raspberryPi: https://thepihut.com/blogs/raspberry-pi-tutorials/17789160-backing-up-and-restoring-your-raspberry-pis-sd-card). Windows detects the SD-card, but it is not accessible in the file manager. There is no drive letter assigned :(How can I save the image?thanks in advanceregards, Lukas

Hello Guys, I have a AT24CM02 EEPROM which uses I2C to communicate with a STM32H7 MCU. I need to store some float values into the EEPROM, but I do not know how. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you and best regards, Vouria

The documentation of these specific MCU do not show the CCRAM in the memory map. From my understanding this is Cortex-M4 related...https://github.com/ObKo/stm32-cmake/issues/134#issuecomment-651631813

I am developing an X-CUBE-USB-PD system that works with the STM32G070CB and FUSB307B.It is based on an example project for the FUSB307BGEVB, which behaves as a DRP.The library I'm using for it is M0_PD3_FULL.When the device behaves as a source, unplugging the cable after the state shifts to PE_STATE_READY_WAIT does not cause a detach event. After this, the device will not respond to anything. However, it does not appear that a HardFault has occurred. The alert is left in place as it occurs. However, if you put a breakpoint in the handler of the alert detection, it works fine. That leads me to believe that the problem is related to something timing related. What could be the possible cause of such a problem?

Hello to everyone,I was able to add a backend communication from a screen to other FreeRTOS task with a queue message and now I try the other way from the other task to the screen/view. I add all the parts from the TGFX support site backend-communication to the model and so on, but I'm not able to access to this specific text area (wildcard) because it's a "protected member" of the custom container class. Maybe it's just a easy problem but because of my poor C++ knowledge I don't find a solution for this problem. How I get access to a protected custom container member (text area) which is placed on a screen?Maybe someone can help me with some hints or code snippets.Thank you in advance.

Hi community !I tested BlueNRG-2 generic ON/OFF model with other type of card with Mesh compatibility with which i can send what i want. When i'm sending a 2 bytes message like 01-00, DL3 (LED 3) switch ON which is normal. When the message is 2, 3 or 4 bytes long it still work, but when it's an 1 or more than 4 bytes long the card seems to no longer working. So i use breakpoint on the code to see where the income data is stopped. In generic.c file, the data go through "GenericModelServer_ProcessMessageCb" when it's a 2,3 or 4 bytes and is stopped before when it's a longer one. But i don't see when this function is called... So is there a way to let longer message going through this ?SincerelyGF

Hi everyone,We have an issue when using QUADSPI (memory-mapped) on a STM32F7 microcontroller. The controller sporadically runs into a watchdog reset. Investigation showed that the crash always occurs during a LDM instruction from the memory-mapped flash. When disabling the watchdog, the program execution can only be stopped in an interrupt and a stop in main code execution is no longer possible. Most of the peripheral registers can no longer be read either. We are aware of the issue stated in the errata sheet:2.4.3 Memory-mapped read operations may fail when timeout counter is enabledThe proposed workaround is as follow:Disable the timeout counter. To raise the chip select, perform an abort at the end of each memory-mapped read operation. The timeout counter (TCEN bit in CR register) is disabled, but the issue still occurs. What we do not know is how to implement the second part of the workaround: "To raise the chip select, perform an abort at the end of each memory-mapped read operation

I am trying to make the transition from Arduino/Atmel micro controllers to something that can support true threading/multitasking in the 32bit ARM processor category. I am making a robot where I need to control 7+ 12v motors, 24 servos, 100+LEDS, speakers, and some sensors all over a USB host bus from a dualshock 4 controller. I am looking for someone to point out to me a board/boards that is entry level user friendly with good documentation and support that can handle the above list simultaneously within timing groups. I am using a list of Arduino capable breakouts and would like to use them with the stm board. Can anyone help please?

I am trying to read the position of an absolute rotary encoder (AMT22B-V). I have it connected to a Nucleo G474RE board. In the main.h file of the STM32CubeIDE project, I have the following declaration:#define BUFFERSIZE            (COUNTOF(aTxBuffer) - 1)In the main.c file, I have the following code:uint8_t aTxBuffer[] = {0x00, 0x00};uint8_t aRxBuffer[BUFFERSIZE];HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&hspi1, (uint8_t *)aTxBuffer, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, BUFFERSIZE, 5000);I am transmitting the 0x00 0x00 read command on MOSI and hoping to receive 2 bytes on MISO that describe the position of the encoder. However when I probe the lines with the logic analyzer function of my oscilloscope, I see that as I turn the encoder, only one byte is changing; the other one isn't changing. See image below. Also, I have the SPI data size set to 16 bits. I have a feeling that the issue has something to do with the BUFFERSIZE parameter. Any help is much appreci

Now that I managed to create an 'SPP profile', I have another question. We plan to use a number of those kits. But, I noticed all of them have the same BDA address. Obviously we need to change them. The command 'hciconfig hci0 lerandaddr ..' does not seem to do the trick. Is there any other way of doing it, either permanently or temporarily during the life of the program?

Dear Sir/Madam,I am going to install STM32CUBEIDE_1.3.0_5720(Windows based) on my system .In the initial phase of installing ,I was asked to choose or select :SEGER J-Link driversST-LINK driversST-LINK servers For your further info, it should be mentioned that: I installed before: "STM32 ST-Link Utility" (last version from ST website) on my computer to use ST-Link V2 programmer .Do I really need to choose and select: SEGER J-Link drivers,ST-LINK drivers,ST-LINK serverson my system? Were they installed by "STM32 ST-Link Utility previously" on my system or NOT?If I install them, will I face any conflict or problem with my computer? I really appreciate your attention.

Dear Sir/Madam,I am quite new to the world of STM32 ,although I explore new things about them everyday.I have to use (internal) DMA of SDMMC of a MCU,to transfer large capacity of bytes from a SD Card to the internal RAM of the micro .For doing this,is it really necessary to use FATFS(as a middle-ware for SD card) or not?I really appreciate your attention.

I have C1, 5 and 6 tags and I just need to enable energy harvesting so I can detect when tag is being read. Is there a simple way to do this, e.g. using the ST25 phone app. I have tried changing dyn register #1 but that did not work. Please advise.David

Hi,I'm doing a HW rework design about a board that use the microcontroller MPC5606B of NXP. I want update the design using a ST microcontroller. I have seen that this device is similar to the SPC560B60L7, but I would like to know if the 2 IC are pin-to-pin compatible. In particular, is it possible to replace one component with the other one without modify the electrical connections already present on the board? The complete part number identified are: SPC5606BF1VLU6 (of NXP) and SPC560B64L7C6E0X (of ST).Thank you,Regards.

Hello All,We are using STM32F446RE MCU on our custom board. We have attached the schematic for reset pin and we are able to see RESET pin is getting high or low but MCU reset is not observed in IDE.We have added a breakpoint in Main() function. When we reset the board (HW reset or SW reset), the NUCLEO-F446RE board is getting resetted but not the custom board. We have observed a high/low of NRST pin (pin 7) of MCU . Couldn't find what might be the issue. Please help.

Hi!I am designing a microcontroller (STM32F405RGT6) circuit board with a minimal configuration. Is this a normal circuit that I developed? The microcontroller will be uploaded firmware on USART1.BOOT1 and BOOT0 are connected to jumpers. Please show me my design mistakes. I was guided by AN4488. The electrical circuit is attached in the files below in pdf or jpeg formatThank you!
